Kalen had recently started talking and saying simple little words. Adam sighed. The only thing missing from his charming new life was a mama.
They went back inside to choose bedrooms. After some arguing they decided to put Kalen in the room between them and leave the fourth and fifth bedrooms as guest rooms. Later Adam took them furniture shopping. They each got a new television for their rooms and one for the family room. Adam spent the rest of the evening with Nico in his hotel suite.
“You sound almost as excited as them,” Nico said after Adam filled his lover in on his day. He left out the part about the Kerrys’ house.
“It does my heart good to see them smile.”
“Hmm, well, you’ve spent enough time with them lately. You need to shower some of your attention on me.” Nico laid his gloriously nude body on the bed.
Adam didn’t like the sound of that. “You aren’t jealous, are you? They’re just kids.”
“Only one of them is now technically a kid, Adam. The other two are gorgeous blond young men with abs I can’t compete with.”
Adam slid over next to him and ran his finger across Nico’s hairless cheek. “Why do you feel that you have to compete with them?”
Nico rolled away from him. “Because both of those young men think the world of you. You might even say they’re in love with you.”
“What? Have you been drinking? I think they like me, but in an older brotherly way.”
“No,” Nico argued. “You do know that Jonas is gay, don’t you?”
“Yes, but that doesn’t mean he’s in love with me. He’s dating Sean, and Frankie is straight.”
“Are you sure he’s straight?”
“Yes,” Adam said, thinking about the kiss the night of Frankie’s birthday. “He and I just had a long talk about condoms and safe sex.” But Frankie had been exceptionally receptive lately.
“Frankie is a loner, and he doesn’t have friends. He spends ninety-nine percent of his time taking care of a baby. You are the most dominant person in his life at the moment, and it makes sense that he would fall in love with you.” He paused. “Maybe I should fix him up with my younger sister,” Nico said. “She has raven hair.”
Adam scowled when Nico wasn’t looking. He’d met his sister. Frankie wouldn’t like her. Casey had a unibrow and was on the women’s wrestling team in college. “Don’t play matchmaker. Everyone develops at his or her own pace.” But he had noticed a change in Frankie since he first met him. Playing the violin had given him some nice upper-body muscle. He had a slim build and sizeable cock. Adam had accidently saw Frankie’s in the men’s room. Gawd, that sounds so creepy. “Frankie’s not gay and Jonas is not in love with me. Now let’s get busy.”
Nico sat up. “I’m not in the mood now. Maybe I should go.”
“Come over here and let me get you in the mood.” He had a very big erection that needed servicing.
“How can I enjoy myself when you’ll be thinking about Jonas and Frankie while you’re doing me? Maybe I should lose some weight and take better care of my skin.”
He’d never seen this side of Nico before, and Adam didn’t like it. Needy and girly didn’t turn him on. He lost his erection. “Do you want me to call George?”
“Yes,” Nico said. “I just can’t have sex now.”
Diva drama. Adam reached for the phone and dialed George. “Nico is ready to go. I know you just dropped him off. No, I didn’t say something to offend him and no I’m not suffering from impotency. Just get your butt back here.” He hung up the phone. “George is on his way.”
Nico dressed quickly and left without giving him a good-bye kiss.
Adam punched his pillow into submission and tried to go to sleep. His mind drifted back to the birthday party, and his cock made a slow rise as he remembered the look on Frankie’s face during their man-to-man talk. His eyes had twinkled merrily and he’d blushed so sweetly as they discussed sex. Adam ran his hand over his dick, and it thickened. He stroked it gently as he conjured up an image of Frankie lying in his bed naked and innocent. “Ah shit,” he said as he came in his palm. This has got to stop.
Chapter Six
“Guys, this is Luke Austin, your new publicist,” Adam said in his office about a week after Frankie’s birthday.
Frankie gulped. Luke could be Adam’s younger brother, except he was slimmer and made his skintight pants work for him.
“Luke, this is Jonas and Frankie Kerry. Your job is to turn them into superstars.”
“No, that’s your job, Adam,” Luke said.
Sexy voice. Maybe this superstar thing might not be so bad.
“My job is to make them into a hot commodity.” He walked around Jonas and Frankie, checking them out. “I love the hair,” Luke told Jonas. “But we need tone it up a bit, you know, take you from dishwater to honey blond. You both have great skin and teeth, but you need to add a little more muscle.” He stared at Frankie. “Those eyes are stunning. Are they contacts?”
“No,” Frankie said, staring back into Luke’s eyes. “I like yours, too.”
Adam cleared his throat loudly, getting Frankie’s attention. He shook his head disapprovingly, like Frankie had said a bad thing.
Luke stroked Frankie’s cheek with his soft finger.
Frankie’s body responded, and his briefs suddenly felt tight.
“You’re eighteen, right?”
Frankie nodded.
“You don’t have any facial hair. Do you shave it or wax it?”
“Neither,” Frankie said breathlessly. “It hasn’t grown in yet.”
“Ooh, an innocent,” Luke said. “The women are going to love your baby face. And both of you have the best eyebrows and lashes I’ve ever seen. A blue-eyed angel and a brown-eyed seducer. I can work that.”
If Luke didn’t stop touching him, he was going to come in his briefs. He looked at Adam for help. Adam looked a bit tense and angry.
“Next is clothing. Nothing off the rack is good enough for you guys. You’re classical musicians. Classical means classy. No matching outfits. If one of you wears black the other must wear white. If one of you wears red, the other must wear blue. My job is to make you stand out in a crowd. Do you get my drift?”
“Yes,” both brothers said.
Frankie noticed Jonas watching Luke with just a little too much interest. He glared at his older brother. Jonas sneered. Frankie checked out Luke’s butt. He nodded at Jonas. If he couldn’t have Adam, Luke might not be a bad substitute.
“The two of you will be photographed so many times you’ll hate cameras,” Luke continued. “But you will smile and flirt with the photographer and make America fall in love with you. I’ve already lined you up with a photographer for Monday and a dietician the day after.”
“What do we need a dietician for?” Jonas asked.
“Because you need to learn how to eat right. We’ll also be visiting a gym. Eating right and exercise will add muscle and very little fat.”
Adam watched it all in mock interest.
Frankie raised his shirt to get a rise out of him. “Do you think I need more muscle?” he asked innocently.
Adam stared. “Ah.” He tried to look away. “I think you’re perfect just the way you are, but if Luke thinks a little more muscle will help, I’m all for it.”
Frankie sighed and lowered his shirt slowly, still trying to tease Adam. “Okay if you say so. I’ll do it for you.”
Adam gazed at him again with a curious look on his face.
Jonas tried so hard not to laugh at his antics. Kalen on the other hand waddled over to him. Frankie picked his brother up, and Kalen tried to lift the hem of Frankie’s shirt again.
Frankie kept his eyes on Adam as the man strained to see what Kalen was trying to show him.
“Cute kid,” Luke said. “We can use him in some of your photos. Women love babies.”
Frankie didn’t know if he liked the idea of using Kalen to draw in women or to be used as a marketing ploy.

Oh yeah, I forgot to tell you, the house will be ready to move in this weekend,” Adam said.
“So soon?” Jonas asked.
“Yes. My lawyer took care of all the paperwork.”
“Things certainly work fast when you have money,” Frankie said. “Thanks. I’m looking forward to having my own room and privacy.”
“Why? Are you thinking about inviting a girl over?” Luke asked.
“Maybe,” Frankie said, ignoring Luke and trying to get Adam to react.
Luke gave Frankie a high five. “I remember my first apartment. My boyfriend and I christened every room in the place in less than a week.”
Frankie raised an eyebrow and smiled. “Even the kitchen?”
“Yeah,” Luke said. “Twice in the kitchen.”
“Okay, that’s enough fantasy talk,” Adam said. “Luke and I need to get some things done and you guys need to get some lunch.”
“We’re going out for a while,” Jonas said as they headed toward the door.
“Where?” Adam asked.
“The drugstore. Kalen needs diapers.”
“Okay, come back soon,” Adam said.
Frankie shook his head. Adam acted like they were a bunch of kids.
Jonas walked out the door first, and Frankie followed, carrying Kalen. “Why do I have a feeling he’s turning into our father?”
Frankie shrugged. “I don’t think of him as the daddy type, but hopefully he’ll calm down once we move out of his hotel. Then he’ll go back to having life.”
The drugstore was just two blocks away over on Canal Street. In just a day of so the seasons had changed and the humidity had disappeared.
“Is that what you want?” Jonas asked.
“No,” Frankie said. “But Adam only sees me as a child.”
“Luke’s cute,” Jonas said as they stopped at the corner. They waited for the Walk sign.
“Yeah, I noticed,” Frankie said.
“And he’s into guys.”
“So he said. Maybe he’s one of Adam’s little boy toys.”
“So why don’t you give him a shot?” Jonas asked.
But he wanted Adam. The light changed, and they crossed the street and entered the store. Jonas got a cart and put Kalen in the top seat and rolled it to the aisle with the diapers and training pants. On the next row he pulled two boxes of condoms from the shelf and a tube of lube.
“Are you expecting to get lucky?” Frankie asked.
“One of these boxes is for you,” Jonas said. “You’re eighteen now. If you’re thinking about getting a lover, being smart is better than being dead.”
Frankie frowned. Why was he getting another sex talk? Just because he’d never had sex before didn’t mean he was ignorant. He took another box from the shelf. “I’d rather have these since they’re ribbed for my pleasure.”
Jonas laughed. “You won’t be wearing them. They’re for Adam or Luke.”
Frankie scowled at him. “I’m not a bottom.” He grabbed another tube of lubricant and tossed it into the cart.
“Dream on,” Jonas said as he pushed the cart to another row. “Either way you want to make it as painless as possible.”
Frankie smirked remembering Jonas coming back to the room the other night with a sore ass after being with Sean. He spotted a toy, picked it up, and put it in the basket for Kalen.
“You’re going to spoil him,” Jonas said as he paid for their purchase.
“The kid has to put up with us as brothers. He needs a little spoiling,” Frankie said.
Jonas paid for their purchases. They left the drugstore and headed back to the hotel. Jonas carried the bags while Frankie carried Kalen.
“How can you tell if you’re a top or a bottom?”
“That depends,” Jonas said.
“On what?”
“It depends on whether you like to be on the giving or the receiving end. Or if you have a dominant personality or a submissive one. And sometimes it just boils down to who has the bigger or larger body.”
“Is it possible to be both?”
“Yes,” Jonas answered.
“I don’t think I’ve very feminine or submissive. But I don’t think I can push some guy down and be demanding.”
“In your case you better let Adam take the lead. He’s bigger than you are and more experienced.”
“Is it painful being the bottom?”
“At first,” Jonas answered. “But most of the time it’s so much fun.”
“I feel like practicing the violin,” Frankie said, changing the subject. “Do you want to go over to the park before it gets dark?”
“Yeah,” Jonas answered. “If Adam doesn’t stop us.”
“Are you regretting meeting him?” Frankie asked.
“Just a little,” Jonas answered. “I don’t feel needed anymore.”
“I still need you,” Frankie said. “Kalen, too.”

“Why are the Kerrys back in the park?” Nico asked Adam. “Did you get tired of them and kick them out?”
Nico had come over without calling to find out if he had any free time.
“No. I had no idea. I thought they were up in their room,” Adam said, looking out of his office window.
“They’re just over their playing their little hearts out.”
“Ah, maybe the walls were closing in on them,” Adam said. “Sometimes I still forget that they’re kids and they need fresh air and sunshine.” They left his office and went up to his suite. “Would you like something to drink?”
“Yes, Scotch on the rocks, please.”
Adam walked over to his bar and fixed a drink for them. He handed Nico his.
“Thank you. Have you found permanent housing for them? You’re probably losing a fortune not being able to rent the suite.”
“Yes, in fact I’ve have found them a place to stay. They’re moving out soon.”
“Good,” Nico said. “They’re starting to monopolize all your free time. It would be nice to spend some alone time with you.”
Adam sipped his drink. If memory served him right, Nico walked out on their last private time together because he felt he couldn’t compete with two young men. “I hired them a publicist today. His name is Luke, and I’ve advertised for two new assistants. I only wanted one for me, but I think a second one would free up more of my time.” He sat down next to Nico.
“I like the sound of that already. Why don’t you hire Sean?”
“Because he already works for me here. And Jonas wouldn’t be able to concentrate on his music with Sean around him so much.”
Nico chuckled. “I think they make a cute couple. Now if we can only find a girl for Frankie.”
“Frankie needs to concentrate on his music. There will be plenty of time for women once he’s a superstar.”
“I suppose you’re right. I’m just trying to help you cut the apron strings,” Nico said.
“What apron strings? I’m just helping them out. They’ve been through a lot, and they deserve a little happiness in their lives.”
Nico put his glass down on the table. “Enough about them. Kiss me.”
Adam put down his glass and kissed Nico.
Nico put his hand between them and squeezed Adam’s cock.
Adam’s dick didn’t respond.
“What’s wrong?” Nico asked.
“I don’t know. Usually I’m very sensitive to your touch.”
Nico tried again.
Nothing.
“Maybe you should see a doctor. You’re too young to be impotent.”
“I’m not impotent,” Adam said, pushing Nico’s hand away. I haven’t been getting much sleep lately. Maybe I’m just tired.”
“Or maybe you’re just not into me,” Nico said angrily. “I bet if Frankie walked in here and squeezed your cock you’d be erect in a second.”
“Don’t be ridiculous.”
“I’m not being ridiculous,” Nico said. “I’ve seen the way you’ve look at him. And you’re n
othing but smiles every time he’s in your presence.” He rose and headed for the door. “Call me up when you’re interested in dealing with a real man. Au revoir.” He left, slamming the door behind him.
Adam sighed and looked down between his legs. He didn’t have a rise. But Nico was wrong. It had nothing to do with Frankie.
* * * *
Jonas and Frankie decided they had enough practice and sunshine. They closed up their instrument cases and headed back to the hotel.
“Isn’t that Mr. Washington leaving the hotel?”
Frankie looked across the street. “Yeah. He’s probably came to visit Adam.”
Nico spotted them and waved.
Jonas and Frankie crossed the street with Kalen.
“Hey guys,” Nico said. “You’ve been out practicing?”
“Yes,” Jonas answered. “It’s hard to do inside the hotel. We didn’t want to disturb anyone.”
“Adam told me you found a place to live.”
“We’re moving this weekend,” Jonas said.
Nico tickled Kalen. “Hey, big boy.”
Kalen giggled and then yawned.
“Looks like someone is ready for a nap.”
“I’m bringing him up and putting him to bed,” Jonas said.
A taxi arrived at the curb. “I’ll see you guys later,” Nico said. He got into the taxi and the driver left the curb.
“Is it me, or did Nico not talk to you?” Jonas asked Frankie.
Frankie shrugged.
“I don’t really like him,” Jonas said, opening the door for him and Kalen. “I don’t think he’s right for Adam.”
They walked toward the elevator. “Are you just saying that because I like Adam?”
“No,” Jonas answered. “He seems a bit territorial. It won’t be long before he’s telling Adam he’s spending too much time with us.”
They rode up to their floor.
“After this weekend that won’t be a problem. We’ll only get to see him when it involves business.”
The door opened on the floor, and they stepped out and entered their suite. There was a note on the floor. Someone had slipped it under the door. Frankie picked it up. “It’s for you.” He handed it to Jonas. “It’s from Sean.”
