Pleasing The Professor (The Professor's Student Series Book 1) Page 5

by Janae Keyes

My eyes instantly went to the window of the mysterious shop. Elation, the shop name was written in a shade of hot pink above the door. It didn’t take a genius to realize he’d come out of a sex shop and apparently had a prosperous shopping trip.

“I see Mr. McCulligan was helpful,” Ramsey noted as he pointed out my baby blue bike perfectly equipped with a basket connected to the handlebars.

My eyes fluttered away from the shop and back to him. “Yes, he was wonderful and gave me a job. I’m going to work there on Tuesday afternoons after class,” I informed him, excited about my newfound employment.

“That’s fantastic. I knew Mr. McCulligan had a sweet spot for beautiful girls.” He gave me that grin that always forced a buzzing between my thighs. I swallowed as, of course, we stood together outside of a shop filled with things that he could use to drive me wild.

“I better let you go. I’m sure you have things … to do ... umm … with someone.” I spoke quickly as my eyes went to his bags.

“Oh,” his eyes also looked down at his mysterious black plastic bags. “Well, I’d like to do … things … not sure about the someone …”

“Crazy thought,” I cut him off to end the awkward conversation about his sex life that was honestly none of my business as much as I wanted it to be ... I wanted to be his business.

Snap out of it Dora! I burned to scream out loud at myself.

“Simon invited me to this karaoke bar on Friday. I’m not a karaoke person, and if I go, I’d love another sane person with me.” I hoped he understood I was asking him to come.

  A silence stood between us.

  “Dora, I’m not sure if-”

“Yeah, I’m dumb. I shouldn’t have asked. I should go.”

Before he had a chance to attempt a response, I’d hopped on my bike. This time, I was the one speeding off in escape.

  Chapter Seven

  Ramsey

I watched as she sped off on her bike. Fuck. If she had let me finish, I would have told her, that while I didn’t think it was a good idea, I would love to go with her as a friend. There was nothing wrong with being friends with your students. Even if they did send you into overdrive.

Fuck! Why did I always muck up everything when I was around Dora? I should’ve just told her I’d go. Now, I was going to have to make it awkward and ask her to stay after class to find out where they were going. Looking at the bags in my hands, I smiled. I’d had an extremely successful shopping trip indeed.

But, there was still some items I needed to get. The shop didn’t have them and said they couldn’t order them, so I was going to have to order them online. I was fine with this since no one would see my orders anyways. I did tell the shopkeeper to tell the owner to broaden the stock if they wanted to keep me coming in, though. I wasn’t always going to have the time or patience to order online.

Getting into my car, I tossed the bags into the seat beside me and put the keys in the ignition, but I didn’t turn it. I needed a second to breathe. She hadn’t asked who the bags were for. However, I swore I saw a longing in her eyes for me to tell her they were for her.

Yes, Dora, My Sweet One. The bags are for you! I longed to chase after her and take her in my arms. Unfortunately, my car wasn’t big enough for her new bike. It was probably for the best that she had a bike now. There wouldn’t be any more accidental car rides or close encounters, and we could focus on her schooling. Well, I would try to. Having her in the front of the room would be distraction enough for me until the end of the week.

Turning the car on, I pulled into traffic and back to my house.

When I finally arrived home, I put the new accessories into the playroom and went upstairs. I was tired. It had been a long day, and all I wanted was a Guinness, my burrito and to watch something on the bloody telly. Instead, I grabbed my stout, my food and went back downstairs.

I needed to start setting things up for Dora. I still wasn’t ready to buy the rope that I so detested, but I was willing to buy her the cuffs and shackles. Organizing my loot helped me center and calm my mind.

I wasn’t OCD, and I sure as bloody hell wasn’t a neat-nick, but when it came to the playroom, everything had an area. Floggers hanging above the bed, paddles along the rails of the stairs. Riding crops along the end tables, and the cuffs would be put in my room later. I would attach those to my bed for ease of use and access when the time was right. I was getting hard just thinking about what I was going to do to Ms. Monroe when I finally got her down on her knees in there.

Standing, I threw my can at the rubbish bin, missing. Shrugging, I walked up the stairs. I would get it next time I came down. Right now, all I wanted was some much-needed sleep. And Dora’s hot, naked body to be curled up next to mine as we fell asleep together.

Fuck me! What was I thinking? I had to stop these thoughts. There was no help for it. I went into the bathroom and turned the water on ice cold and stepped in, clothes and all. Letting the cold water run over my body, I felt relief as my cock began to soften in the onslaught of cold water. Stripping in the tub, I turned the faucet off and stepped out, grabbing a towel.

I dried off, and laid down in bed, settling in for an uncomfortable night. The shower had worked for a moment, but I could feel myself hardening again, in hopes that my dreams would be filled with Dora’s sweet face and body.

She was above me, a goddess in her own right, wild hair, perfect breasts, flawless ebony skin. I couldn’t believe I had gotten so lucky. I watched as she rode me, hard and fast, bringing me closer to the edge, her eyes locked with mine. I could feel myself nearing my orgasm, my balls pinching as I stiffened, grabbing her hips as I came everywhere, calling her name.

I woke, sweat beading on my brow, the sheets covered in my cum, a mess like I hadn’t made since I was thirteen or fourteen years old. I rolled out of bed and pulled the sheets off the bed, disgusted with myself. I had let a dream get to me. I looked at the clock, a quarter to six. It was early enough that I could go back to bed if I wanted, but instead, I opted to hop in the shower and get ready for my morning class.

I turned the knob, letting the cold spray of water warm, and opened my laptop to check my mail. I found my mind wandering back to Dora. She was beautiful, and I wanted to buy her a present. Even if she never wore it with me, I would know I was with her when she did.

Searching around the internet, I came across a dress site and the perfect dress. Classic, modern, yet old Hollywood, like her. A red panel ruched swing dress they called it. I called it perfection as I imagined her spinning in it, the skirt flowing out from her body, baring her glorious legs. And I knew she would need shoes to go with it. I was ecstatic to see that the site had a shoe area too. I remembered shopping with my mother, and how she always told me that shoes completed the dress.

Not jewelry, not make-up, not even hair. But, shoes. I clicked the link and started looking for the perfect heels to match her dress. Black pumps, red boots, white pumps. Nothing was catching my eye, and then I saw them. Silver, stiletto, peep-toe pumps. She would look gorgeous in them. I was about to place my order when I saw another dress, red bodice, black, 1950s swing. Perfect as well. Fuck it, I placed it in the cart as well, knowing the shoes would go with both dresses.

I placed my order and remembered my shower.

Hopping in my now cold shower, I quickly scrubbed myself down and dressed for work. I couldn’t wait to see her today. Mother had paid off for one thing. I could eyeball a woman’s size and be within an inch or two. I hoped Dora loved her gift.

When I arrived to class everyone was already there and waiting for me. It was still twenty minutes till class started, so I went to my office to drop everything off. There was a gentle knock on the door.

“Enter,” I told whoever was on the other side, without looking up.

“I’m sorry,” her soft voice brought my head up as the door clicked shut behind her. Dora stood with her head tilted to the floor, looking at me through her long eyelashes. God, she was a fucking nat
ural, and I loved it. She would be easy to train once I introduced her to my playroom. Fuck, Kendall. Get your head out of your cock and into the present. She didn’t come here to shag you! I had been reprimanded myself quite frequently lately. This was not a habit that I enjoyed.

“Nothing to apologize for, dear. Actually, I was wondering which karaoke bar you are going to. I would love to go.” Smiling, I hoped she wouldn’t notice the way I was undressing her, or shifting in my seat, against my growing cock.

“I’m not sure. Simon is taking me. Said ‘Dorothy-Dear, you simply have to come with me this Friday. Think of all the single guys that haven’t seen this yet.’” I almost snapped right then, barely holding the thread that kept me from my primal instinct of taking her as my own and marking her. Who did this joker think he was? Dora was my woman. I stopped thinking. I had made the final commitment. She was going to be mine, and nothing was going to stop me from taking her. Not Simon, not the Crown Prince, and not some drunk at the bar.

“Great. I’ll pick you both up at your building at seven-thirty Friday so that in the future, I know where to go. Now, class is about to begin. Get back to your seat, Dora. Today’s class is going to be fun!” I ushered her out the door, following her to the front of the room, barely keeping from placing my hand on her back. The girl was a klutz.

“Welcome back everyone. I hope you’ve been reading and taking notes. You should have the book almost complete by this point, if not complete and you should now be figuring out how to formulate your assignment.” All of the faces except for Dora stared back at me, lost. Sighing, I put my notebook down on the podium and walked to the board.

  How to write your essay

  1.Read the bloody book.

  2.Take some damn notes.

3.Maybe form a study group you twits.

  4.Write a rough draft!!!

5.Edit your draft. I will not accept subpar work because you are lazy!

6.Have a friend read it. Did it make sense to them?

  7.If not, RE-WRITE IT!

  8.Finish your final draft!

9.Type it up, run grammar and spell check.

10.HAND IT IN ON TIME! I will not accept late papers.

“Now, I want you to read that list, write it down, and follow it.” Shaking my head, I couldn’t believe I had to do this. I looked forward, and Dora smiled gently at me. I relaxed slightly as I returned to the podium.

“I am always available for at least an hour after this class, and for two hours after the end of the day, unless otherwise noted on the door you come in through in the morning. I trust you all know how to read. You made it this far.” I really did hope they could read. “Have a question or a problem? Come see me. I’m here to help.” Pounding my fist down, I waited as they scribbled their notes down. This was starting to become a daily routine.

Ask them if they had read, or worked on any assignments, get looked at like I’m stupid. Write a list of things for them to do for the day, and sit quietly as they caught up on their homework. Poor Dora was the only one doing her homework. I was going to have to make a folder of classwork for her to do so that she didn’t get brought down by her idiot classmates.

I fought my way through the rest of class that day, focusing on Dora and that coming Friday. The rest of the week was spent the same way. Go home, eat, shower, sleep. Wake up early, shop the internet for random shit that I thought I needed, teach. Repeat.

  I couldn’t wait for Friday.

Friday finally rolled around, and I couldn’t wait. Tonight, we were going out to karaoke. I didn’t consider myself to be much of a singer, but at least it promised to be an interesting night. Class was over for the week, and I was on my way home to get ready. I ditched my normal attire in exchange for a black t-shirt, blue jeans, and Chucks.

Getting back in the car, I popped in a Queen C.D. and blasted the music to distract myself.

Pulling up in front of Dora’s building I cut the car and stepped out into the cool autumn air. It had been almost three weeks since term started and it was finally starting to chill, the rain hovering on the edge of the air regularly now.

I stepped up to the front of the hall and opened the door just as Dora and — was that Simon? — walked out of it. Dora was dressed in a form-fitting plum dress, her shoulders bared, that wrapped suggestively around her neck. It almost looked like she had borrowed it from the early 90s. Her silver stilettos glittered in the light as though they were covered in diamonds. Her hair was smoothed into large bold curls. It looked like it had taken all afternoon to tame. And if not for her friend, I would have her pinned to my car in minutes, the pub forgotten.

“Dora, prompt as always. But where’s Simon?” I asked as I looked at the girl beside her. She had dirty blonde hair, violet eyes, popping make-up, a high-necked Jessica Rabbit dress, and purple pumps to boot. The only thing besides the red hair missing was Roger.

“Oh, Honey! I’m right here!” Simon’s voice came from the blonde. Doing a double take, I laughed at myself. Had I gotten jealous over him? I felt so stupid now. Breathing a sigh of relief, I motioned to my BMW. “Let’s get going, or we are going to be late.”

“Whatever you say, Professor,” Simon drawled as he walked by me, giving Dora a look. He obviously knew something that I didn’t, and I was going to find out what it was.

We loaded up into my little car and pulled out onto the road, still listening to Queen in silence. We were halfway to town when the music changed from an upbeat song about bicycles to the slower ballad Somebody to Love, a favorite of mine. I couldn’t help but sing along, and soon Simon and Dora were singing backup to my Freddie. Just as the song was finishing, Simon gave me some quick directions, and we pulled into the parking lot of the new bar.

  Lavishe’s.

How fitting, I thought to myself as we walked into the pub, and were blasted with a wave of sound. It was as bad as a dying cat. You could tell that the singer was five sheets and well into their sixth. You couldn’t make out the words to the song they were singing, but I knew from the music it was Call Me Maybe by Carly Rae Jepsen. When the chorus hit for the last time, the whole bloody place burst into song. Simon didn’t just burst into song; he jumped on stage. Dora just burst into giggles beside me.

“And that was Andy singing Call Me Maybe, with a stage-crashing by Olivia!” the DJ called out to the crowd.

“Olivia? So, that’s Simon’s drag name?” Befuddled, I looked at Dora.

“Yes, Professor.” Dora walked toward the bar. I could tell Simon was a regular here, the way everyone flocked to him, requesting he sing certain songs. I couldn’t help but laugh.

Handing me a piece of paper, Simon … Olivia? I would have to ask him later, told me to pick a song from the book to sing. I tried to get out of it, but he wouldn’t let me.

I started to flip through the books before I settled on some American songs. I had grown fond of country music during my time in the States, and I wanted to sing a song from then. I decided to sing Tim McGraw’s Please Remember Me.

“Next to the stage is a newcomer this evening. Please welcome, the lovely, Dooorrrrraaaaaaa!” DJ Spazzoid, as I had decided to call him, announced. Dora looked startled as she was ushered to the stage by … Oh, bollocks. I was just going to call him Simon and be done with it. The music started, and Dora turned to me, focusing on me, our eyes connecting.

She started singing the opening lines to I’m Your Baby Tonight by Whitney Houston. Her melodic voice drugged me. I couldn’t pull away from her, her eyes, her grasp. I was caught in her web, and she was Charlotte, scurrying to capture me before I broke free.

I was so entranced that I almost missed them call me for my song. I walked to the stage, Dora handing me the mic, our fingers brushing, electricity sparking. My breath caught in my chest as I took the stage. I stared over the crowd, finding her and Simon. I stared at her, as the opening chords to my song played before I started to sing.

Tim McGraw’s lyrics flowed from me as I stared at her, beg
ging her to remember me, even if our paths took separate ways. I sang my heart out, ignoring my nerves. I wanted to capture her in my web, the same way she had captured me in hers.

I finished my song, and Simon was called onstage. Passing him the mic as I walked by, I made a beeline for our seats. Dora wasn’t there. I looked around the pub in annoyance. I didn’t see her anywhere. Downing my beer, I went to take a piss. I was staring at my feet as I walked and ran into something soft and forgiving.

Reaching out instinctively, I grabbed the woman in front of my body, pulling her to me, keeping her on her feet. Looking down, I saw Dora’s startled sage eyes staring into mine, her chest heaving slightly at the shock of our impact. She tilted her head further back, her lips pouting into a slight pucker, her eyes begging me to kiss her. I leaned in, my lips a mere breath from hers, she closed her eyes waiting.

I straightened us both out, clearing my throat, setting her firmly on her feet. “Hem. Sorry, Dora. I’m just heading … that way,” I pointed in the direction from which she had just come. “Gotta use the loo.” I watched as she walked back to the bar, before stepping outside for a few moments to clear my head.

At the end of the evening, I drove Simon and Dora home, before going back to my cold house. This was going to be a hard term. In more ways than one, I was beginning to realize.

  Chapter Eight

  Dora

Being Friday night, the library was silent; one could hear a pin drop. The only sounds I could immediately hear were the sounds of my own breathing, the turning of the pages of my book, and the scribble of my pen jotting down notes.

It was also Halloween night. There were parties going on everywhere. Simon had invited me to the pub for a karaoke costume party, but I wanted to finish some last-minute notes before going out.
