Seductive Knight Page 14

by Tierney O'Malley

She was good in following directions. She stopped when he told her to and remembered when to use the signals. It was the speed and her reaction when she hit a branch and knocked off the left side-view mirror that had him thinking she was a daredevil. She just said oops, slowed down, and laughed. She showed her good sense though when she did stop for a squirrel that tried to cross the road. Thank goodness for that.

Orcas had plenty of roads where she could drive and not see a single car. Perfect for a new driver, but Alex didn’t like that. She wanted to go out on the main road. He had to put his foot down on that. He just had her back. He wouldn’t do anything that could cause him to lose her again even though he wanted to say yes to make her happy.

Gawain realized he would give anything for her. Everything. He kept his eyes on the road. One thing about living in Orcas Island, no matter what the time of day, deer were active. Tourists who were clueless about the animal’s activities here often find themselves on the side of the road or in the middle with a bumper broken and a dead deer.

On roads like this, with no traffic, it would be easy to gun for high speed, but only if you were a fucking idiot and didn’t care about nature.

There were so many secluded areas around Orcas. He thought of one place where he could take Alex, make love with her under the canopy of the cedar trees, with the running water for their music, but she must be too sore.

“Stop at the turnaround there, please. We’ll switch.”

Alex gave him a sad puppy look.

Gawain laughed. “Stop, you brat. I didn’t say you’re not going to drive ever again. We’re just taking a break.”

“Okay.” Alex did a perfect stop. “Oh, my. That was fun.”

For her, it was fun. For him, it was a nerve-wracking experience. “Yup. That was good.” Jesus.

  “We’ll do this again later?”

“Tomorrow, love. We need to go home.” And he needed a break before his heart exploded inside his chest.

  Alex’s shoulders sagged. “Oh. Okay.”

“Hey, I said tomorrow. Cheer up.”

“I know,” Alex whined. “It’s just that I’ve dreamed of this for years.”

“And it is finally happening. Promise. You’ll have your driver’s license before you go back to the Philippines. Switch?”

  “Okay.”

  “Give me a kiss.”

Alex leaned toward him. He met her halfway. “You’re awesome, beautiful.”

Both of them got out of the car. With the door open, Gawain waited for Alex by the passenger side.

  “I broke your mirror.”

He wound his arms around her waist “Fixable. You’re a natural. I’m proud of you.”

  “You’re not lying.”

“No, I’m not.” Putting his index finger beneath her chin, he tipped her head up. “We should celebrate.”

  “For what?”

  “For your accomplishments today.”

“I don’t think breaking your mirror when I hit a branch calls for a celebration.”

Gawain laughed. “Who says I care?” He dipped his thumb inside her mouth. Alex wrapped his lips around it. His body’s reaction was instant. Good God.

While staring at Alex, he removed his thumb from her mouth so he could suck it. He smiled when she inhaled deeply. “I want to make love with you again.”

  “What’s stopping you?” she whispered.

“God, what happened to my prim and proper baby? Where is she? What did you do to her?”

  “Ha ha.”

He pulled Alex tight. “It’s too soon. I don’t want to hurt you again. I won’t be able to forgive myself.”

“Sweetheart, you won’t hurt me.” Alex bit the base of his neck.

  “Say it again.”

  “You won’t hurt me.”

“No, before that. You called me…”

  “Sweetheart.”

  “I like that.”

Where they were, no one could see them. The woods on the left were thick and on the right, there was a steep grassy embankment. No one could disturb them. Between kisses, he reached down to unzip Alex’s shorts while she unbuttoned his fly.

Alex was already wet when he snaked his hand inside her silk underwear to cup her pussy.

  “Gawain…”

  “Yes, love.”

“I like it when you touch me.”

“And I like touching you.” He quickly unhooked her bra and then lifted her shirt with one hand. “You’re so beautifully made.” He found her clit, then began teasing it with his middle finger.

Alex matched him kiss for kiss. Their tongues mated while his hands were busy touching her. He gave her soft tender kisses along the column of her neck. With little maneuvering, he managed to open the back door and had Alex flat on her back in the back seat. He pulled down her shorts, leaving her underwear on before covering her body with his.

“Lift your shirt. I want to see your breasts.”

Alex smiled wickedly, then lifted her shirt over her head. Next, she took off her bra.

“Damn, woman. You have breasts to die for.”

  “Kiss me, Gawain.”

“Baby, I’ll do more than kiss you.” He moved her skimpy underwear to the side, exposing her wet pussy. Without him telling her, Alex anchored her leg on the seat’s headrest, opening herself to him. She was no prim miss. Alex was a wanton, uninhibited and yet an innocent. And he loved that about her. Gawain was painfully hard when he guided his cock into her waiting pussy. “I’ll take you to heaven.”

Both of them let out a moan when he thrust inside her. In the confines of the backseat, he devoured her sweet nipples while he fucked her hard and deep. He wanted to taste her again, but they were in the car. Later, at home, he would feast on her dewy pussy again.

He concentrated on taking them both to the apex. Reaching down, he spread her pussy open, tightening her entry in the process. Damn, it was so good, he felt his precum shoot out inside her.

“Fuck, baby. Come for me.” He kissed her hard, pulling on her lower lip before thrusting his tongue inside.

  Alex sucked him greedily.

Moaning, he quickened his pace. “You feel damn good,” he said into Alex’s open mouth. Raising his mouth a hairsbreadth away from hers, he stuck his tongue out until he began to drip saliva inside Alex’s mouth. Each time she tried to catch his tongue, he slammed his cock into her.

“Gawain, I don’t want this to end.”

“Me, too. Come, baby. I’ll help.” He rubbed her clit while he slammed his cock inside her repeatedly.

As soon as Alex screamed his name, he let himself go. “Fuck, yeah.”

Gawain was still catching his breath when he heard the sound of a car engine. Up ahead, the only house was his. No one drove on this road unless they were his siblings or parents, or the driver was lost. Or…

“Honey, as much as I’d like to stay here, we got to move. I hear a car coming.”

“Oh, my God. Get off me then. I need my clothes.”

Alex scrambled to get back into her clothes. He laughed when she cursed because her shirt was on backwards.

Once dressed, he reached inside the car to open his glove compartment and took his gun out. Hand behind his back, he gently pushed Alex behind him and waited.

“Why do you have a gun, Gawain?”

“Protection,” he simply said without taking his eyes off the road.

“Don’t I get to have one?”

Gawain was so surprised, he laughed. “Do you know how to shoot?”

  “Slingshot.”

  “It’s not the same, love.”

  “Is too.”

  “Lord, you and my sister.”

The car came into view. It was Bors’s truck. He let out a deep breath and then turned around so he could hug Alex tight. Burying his nose on her hair, he breathed in her scent. God, he would protect this woman. No matter what. But how could he protect his heart from Alex? That realization scared him.

  “What’s going on, G
awain? Is there something you’re not telling me? Did you father a child and refuse to pay for child support? Now someone is after you?”

  “Funny.”

“I am trying to be funny. You make me nervous, you see. I don’t like guns. Do you think someone is going to shoot me? Us?” Alex’s words tumbled out in a thick accent.

“Hey, hey. It’s okay. Like I said, this gun is just for our protection. I know Bors is coming, but someone could have taken this road by accident. You never know.”

Alex’s shoulders sagged. “He’s coming to ask more questions.”

“Or they’re coming for a visit.”

  “They?”

  “Yes, baby.”

Bors’s car stopped beside his. Tristan, his oldest brother sat in the passenger’s seat.

“Good to see you’re ready, bro,” Bors said, then winked at Alex.

“Hi, nut head.” Kirsten waved. Beside her was Julie and then there was Taylor, all grinning from ear to ear.

  “Hey, beautiful Knights.”

“Are you calling me beautiful, pea?” Tristan asked.

  “Shut up, grease ball.”

“That’s Alex? Hi, Alex. It’s me, Kirsten. Remember?”

Gawain looked at Alex. She looked in shock. “Baby, they’re here to visit.”

“You didn’t tell me. I look a mess.” She said, “Hi, Kirsten. Of course, I remember you. Oh, my God. You’re beautiful.”

“You are, too. When I saw your picture, I couldn’t believe it was you.”

  “Picture?”

“Love, I sent them the picture that I took with my phone.” Gawain squeezed her side gently.

  “Oh.”

“Alex, these are my sisters-at-heart. Julie, Tristan’s wife, and Taylor, Bor’s wife. Addie couldn’t come. Percival wouldn’t let her. She’s preggy.”

  “Hi, Julie and Taylor.”

“Hello,” Julie and Taylor said simultaneously. Both were giggling.

“All right. We’ll continue the introduction later. I’m starving,” Bors said. “By the way, little bro?”

  “Yeah?”

  “Your fly is open.”

  “Shit!”

  Everyone laughed.

His family was laughing at something Bors was saying when he parked his car. Their eyes were on them. Except for Bors who carried a box with white containers in it, they all carried plastic bags.

Gawain guessed his siblings had brought food to share. He loved it when his family came for a visit, but not today. He had something else in mind as soon as they got home—like take a hot bath with Alex and make long love with her until both of them couldn’t think right anymore.

“Why didn’t you tell me we’re having company? I don’t look presentable. And we just did the…you know in the car.” Alex scrunched her nose at him.

“You look fine. Besides, my family wouldn’t care if you’re wearing grass.”

“I care. And we didn’t clean up the house before we left. I think the plates and coffee mugs are still on the counter because you were in a hurry to leave.”

“Stop worrying. Hey, smile.” He laughed when Alex gave him a scowl instead. “Brat.”

He opened the car door, but Alex stopped him. “Yeah?”

  “Would they know?”

  “Know what?”

“That, that we’ve been intimate.” Alex’s cheeks turned bright red.

He thought about lying to her, but it would be best if he laid it out for her. Otherwise, she would just keep thinking about it and make herself sick from worrying. “Yes, they would know.”

  “What? How?”

  “Because they are Knights.”

“No. They would know if you tell them. Gawain, they might think I’m a loose woman. I’m not supposed to behave like a wanton. And I just got here.”

Gawain sighed. “They wouldn’t think any less of you even if they found out, baby. Stop worrying.” He leaned close to Alex and gave her a deep kiss. When he ended the kiss, Alex’s color was so deep red one would think she was running a fever.

  “You shouldn’t have done that.”

  “Why?”

“Because we’re not supposed to be kissing. They’re watching, Gawain.”

Gawain looked at his family. Sure enough, all of them had the silly grin on their faces. “All right. Let’s get out of this car before I do more than kiss you.”

“You wouldn’t dare. Gawain, I don’t think I can face them.”

Alex reminded Gawain of the time when he took Kirsten to the dentist. Afraid. Unsure. “They’re my family, love.”

“Still.” Alex whined. “I can’t imagine what they’re thinking right now.”

  “Alex?”

  “What?”

“I…” He was so close to saying the three-letter word. The hell.

  “I what?”

“I’m so proud of you, love. And they’ll be, too once they heard that you passed your knowledge test so easily.”

“Oh, my God. The car. They’re looking at the car,” Alex whimpered.

Gawain laughed. Shit, he wanted to kiss her again just to annoy her further. “Ready to properly meet my sisters-in-law?”

  “I guess so.”

The moment they got out of the car, his family stopped talking.

“Good to see you, guys. Didn’t know you were coming.”

“Hi Alex.” Kirsten ran to Alex and gave her a hug. “I can’t believe I’m looking at you.”

  * * * *

“Me, too.” Alex’s tears blurred her vision. Although they didn’t hang out when they were children, it was still wonderful to see her. “You’re so grown up and beautiful. Like a celebrity.”

“Jeez, please. Why are you crying?” Kirsten wiped her tears. “Now I’m crying, too. I missed you, you know.”

  Both women laughed.

Alex waved at Taylor and Julie.

Kirsten’s sisters-at-heart were both stunning. Julie had red hair and freckles. Taylor’s hair was dark brown with gold highlights. Both stood like models and oozed with sensuality Alex bet they didn’t even realize they possessed.

Julie and Taylor gave Alex hugs.

“Gosh, your skin tone is amazing. Been out in the sun a lot?” Taylor asked.

“Yes. You could say I’m a beach bum.”

“If I sit out in the sun, I end up looking like a cooked lobster.

“I turned into a one big freckle,” Julie piped in.

“What the hell happened to your car, puny?” Bors pointed his finger at the mirror. “The fuck, bro. Did you drive while the seat is tilted back and your dick—”

“Bors!” Kirsten stopped her brother. “Shut your potty mouth. Please.”

Alex’s cheeks heated. Of course, they would want to know what happened to the car. “I, I caused the damages on the car.” She stopped when she heard her own thick accent. Swallowing, she shoved her embarrassment down to her toes and looked at the Knights staring at her. “I drove the car and hit all kinds of things on the road. It was my first time driving.”

  “Really,” Bors drawled.

“Yes. I’m not making excuses, it’s just—”

“You did fine for a first timer,” Bors interrupted her.

  “You think so?”

“Believe me. You did fine. Kirsten plowed all the cars on Mom and Dad’s driveway the first time she drove a car. Guess who her instructor was?”

“Princess has a lead foot. Not my fault.” Gawain practically snarled at Bors. His brother, however, just laughed.

“I tried driving my dad’s car while inside the garage. Instead of going forward, I went back and put a big hole on the wall,” Taylor said with a smile. She looked proud, too.

“You still do that, love,” Bors teased.

  “I do not.”

Bors winked at his wife. “Yes, you do.”

“I failed my driving test two times. The old guy who rode with me in the car nearly had a heart attack because I couldn’t stay in the middle of the road.”

“Because he was hitting on you, sweetheart.” Tristan grinned at Julie.

“Darling, he was old and smelled like dirt. He wasn’t hitting on me. I was flirting with him, hoping he’d let me pass my driving test.”

  “Did you pass?” Alex asked.

“No. Because Tristan scowled at him until he started having an asthma attack.”

  They laughed.

“Ladies, if we don’t go inside now, I’ll start drinking this soup.”

“Bors, you’re such a garbage disposal. You just ate two burgers in the car.”

“And who ate all the fries?”

“Whatever. Let’s go inside, everyone, before the slug eats all the food.”

Alex looked at Gawain. He winked. She sighed. He was right. She shouldn’t worry about his family. They had already made her feel accepted and welcomed by telling their own driving stories. She bet they did it on purpose to make her feel better about Gawain’s car.

Kirsten and Bors continued to bicker as they walked inside the house.

Gawain pulled Alex to his side. “Baby, remember Tristan?”

Tristan. Oh, dear. Memories of the few times they’d met came back. How could I forget this Knight. “Of course. Glad to see you again, Tristan.” To Gawain, she said, “We’ve met a couple times.” She smiled at Tristan. “Both times you were reading. I don’t know if you remember.”

  “I remember.”

“You’re not supposed to remember,” she whispered.

Gawain’s brow arched high. “What’s this? Did I miss something?”

“Alex and I met while I was busy reading. She asked me what I was reading. I told her it was a medicinal textbook. She wanted to see it. I said later. And then she snatched the book, ripping the page.”

Alex groaned. God, she wished she were a turtle so she could hide in her shell.

  “Did she apologize?” asked Gawain.

“No. She blamed me instead. Then she walked away with her head held high. She surprised me though when she turned around and smiled at me. What she said next made me laugh.”

  “And what did she say?”

Alex bit her lower lip. She remembered exactly what she said that day. Someday, you’ll be my brother-in-law. So be nice to me.

“I can’t remember.” Tristan smiled. “Here.” He handed her a red paper bag. “I put most of Lucan’s DVDs in there. Nemo is great. I could tell you everything about it including the colors. I dream about it sometimes.”
