"Damn it. If that's my mother, I'm going to spank you Misty." Hunter growled at her as he quickly reached down and grabbed his shirt off the floor.
"You promise?" Misty jumped off the counter and rubbed his cock through his pants. "Make it up to me later?"
"Go, get decent, I'll deal with whoever is at the door." Hunter watched her leave before putting his shirt back over his head. He loved playing with her breasts but watching the sway of her hips and ass as she walked out of the room also had a special spot in his heart. The urge to follow her and bend her over the nearest object so he could play with her ass never got old.
Walking to the door he opened it to find his mother standing there with her bags.
"Mom, what are you doing here?" Hunter said blinking in shock and automatically took a step back to let her in.
"What do you think? You go and find yourself a mate. A human mate. And don't think to tell anyone?" His mother poked him in the shoulder. "You're lucky your sisters didn't join me."
"Oh geez mom, I just told her about me. She needs time to adjust. Please don't scare her off," Hunter said groaning. He could just picture his sisters all over Misty and her getting overwhelmed. He got overwhelmed dealing with the gaggle of women in his life and he was used to them.
"Don't be such a whiner dear, you should have told us. Now, get my bags in a room and we can start planning the wedding." His mom thrust one of her bags into his arms and looked at him expectantly, not taking no for an answer.
"Mom, you need to give Misty time. You have had thousands of years to understand our way of life, she's had a few days. You can't just thrust her into our world and expect her to understand everything." Hunter grabbed the bags as he lectured his mom, escorting her to a room.
"Sink or swim dear, she'll sink or swim." She smiled at her son and patted him on the shoulder.
"Mom, I don't want her to feel that way. I want her to feel okay with marrying me and being a part of our family. Promise me you won't do anything to scare her off. I swear if you do, I'll never talk to you again. She's my mate and I won't let you traumatize her." Hunter growled at his mom not completely trusting her.
"You're that serious about this girl?" His mom stopped suddenly and put her hand on his arm and had him face her.
"Of course I am. Do you think I would have told her I was a dragon if I wasn't?" Hunter felt like slapping his hand to his face. It seemed like common sense to him that you don't confide your most precious secrets to just anyone.
"Well, your sister's have done dumb things over the years, and I always figure it's your turn to do something more stupid than you've done in the past. All things considered, telling a human you're a dragon with a lair isn't all dumb if you think you have feelings for them. True mate bonds are rare." She smiled as she walked into the room and set her purse and jacket on the bed as Hunter put her bags down.
"If you do anything to traumatize her mom, and I mean anything, I will not let you meet your grandchildren." Hunter didn't want anything to upset Misty. He felt protective of her and he wasn't about to let his mom, good intentions or not, do anything to upset her.
"She's an animal doctor. She can't be that bad if she prefers animals over most people." His mom gave him a hug and then patted his cheek. "I'm hungry, what kind of food do you have?"
Sighing Hunter gave her a quick hug back and then shook his head. "I'll get some lunch started. Just behave yourself okay?"
"I promise I won't do anything a normal mother wouldn't do." She smiled at him feigning innocence and Hunter groaned internally. He was afraid of that. His mother was a born trouble maker.
Chapter 11
"So, you're Misty?" Hunter's mom asked her as she sat down at the table to eat lunch. Hunter had cooked and Misty had almost decided not to join them. She'd decided that despite Hunter's concern about his mom, she wanted to meet her.
If she was going to stay involved with Hunter she couldn't let his mom scare her away. Karinna was supposedly extremely old, yet she didn't look a day over thirty. Misty found it fascinating. She had the momentary thought about what happens if she ages like a human and Hunter didn't.
"I'm Misty, and you're Karinna, Hunter's mom." Misty said and then quickly took a sip of her water to hide the awkwardness she felt about everything. "Hunter didn't know you were coming."
"I didn't want to give him a chance to hide." Karinna laughed and smiled at Misty. "Or hide you from me. I didn't trust my son to let me meet you if I warned him."
"Interesting." Misty replied and chuckled. Karinna had an infectious smile and despite the intelligence in her eyes, she looked so innocent it was hard to believe she was anything but harmless.
"So, do you plan on marrying my son?” Karinna asked her bluntly, not beating around the bush.
"Eventually," Misty said, blushing and looked at Hunter with a helpless look. He sat back with his arms crossed and raised a brow. She was the one who decided to sit at the table with his mom, she could handle it.
"Well, perfect, we can start making wedding plans before you have babies." Karinna said and pulled out a notebook from her back pocket and asked Hunter to go get her a pen.
"Babies?" Misty gasped, not having had that occur to her. "Okay, I just finished school, Hunter and I just got involved. We need time as a couple before we even think about babies, especially if he lives hundreds of years. I don't think we are in any rush."
"How do you think you, as a mate, would get longevity? By mating with him and having his offspring, dragon DNA enters your blood stream and will lengthen your life. You won't turn into a shape shifter, but no babies, no extra long life. So don't take too long to make your decision." Karinna told her bluntly. "Didn't Hunter explain anything to you about the mate bond?"
"Mom, I'll get you the pen, but can you please slow down with all this baby and marriage talk? Misty needs time to adjust and you're just browbeating her." Hunter got up from the table to go find his mother a pen but gave her a stern look before he left.
"So, how did you two meet?" Karinna asked Misty casually watching her.
"My car broke down, and he helped me. I was going back to school and he convinced me to open a vet clinic here, partially because he wanted a chance to get to know me better. We talked a lot when I finished up school and here I am." Misty gave her the short version of it, leaving out the information about her dad dying and all the other stuff.
"Do you like my son because he's rich?" Karinna asked her point blank.
Misty choked on her water and put her cup down and looked at Karinna, shocked at her question. "No."
"Are you sure?" Karinna narrowed her eyes at the woman sitting across from her. "He's handsome and very rich. You seem like an average kind of girl, you could do a lot worse than Hunter, even if he is a dragon."
"Ma`am, with all due respect I love your son. If I marry him, it's because I want to spend my life with him. I have my own money. I came from money. I don't spend the money I do have, and I definitely don't need your son's money. I'm quite offended you'd even suggest such a thing." Misty said, feeling heat fill her cheeks as she grew angry.
"I was just making sure; a mother can never be too careful." Karinna relaxed and gave Misty a calm smile that had Misty wanted to bang her head on the table.
"Have you ever considered that Hunter's been a grown man for a very, very long time. Literally?" Misty asked her, feeling almost offended on Hunter's behalf that his mother would treat him like a child.
"Yes, and you're the first woman he's been interested in. In all his years of being an adult. Do you see why we as his family might be feeling a little protective of him?" Karinna asked Misty, as if it was the most rational every day conversation.
"So are you really here because you wanted to try to plan our wedding, or did you come here because you wanted to try to scare me off and make sure I'm not taking advantage of him?" Misty stood up and faced Karinna, planning on flouncing out of the room when she gave her an answer.
"Both." Karin
na told her and stood up too. Hunter walked back in with a pen in his hand and took a look at the two women and instinctively took a step back.
"No shifting in my kitchen mother." He told his mother giving her a look and then walked over to Misty and put his arm around her shoulders. "Would you like to go for a walk in the woods with me?"
"I would love too," Misty told him and put her hand in his, her face softening in contentment when she looked up at him. He really did make her happy.
"Here's your pen mom. Stay out of trouble, we'll be back shortly." He said and tossed the pen across the room to his mom who caught it instinctively.
"Don't do anything too dangerous." Karinna called after them, smiling. She may have irritated Misty, but the girl could hold her own. She wasn't a wilting flower; she'd need to be tough to survive being a dragon's mate. She would do. Now she just had to call Hunter's sister sand tell them to prepare for a wedding.
Satisfied she started writing down notes on things they'd need for the wedding and a guest list. They'd never know what hit them, it would be all planned and ready to go before they could even shake their tails.
Chapter 12
Hunter walked out of the back of his house with Misty and took her deep into the forest and walked with her. Eventually he backed her up into a tree and kissed her. Pushing her shirt up so he could fondle her large breasts he pressed her into the wood.
"Beautiful Misty, I'm sorry we got interrupted this morning." He whispered to her as he pressed kisses against her neck and worked his way up to her ear.
"Your mom is something else," Misty muttered to him and moaned as his teeth nibbled against her skin. "We have a lot to talk about, Hunter."
"Yes, but we can kiss now and talk more later," Hunter grinned at her and then shut her up by pressing his lips over hers. His tongue dominating her mouth and he didn't let her get another word in edgewise. Pulling her pants down and yanking on the lace panties she wore until they ripped off in his hand he moved to his belt and worked on pulling himself out of his pants. Yanking her pants down until he managed to get her to step out of one of the legs he lifted her up in his arms.
"Wrap your legs around my waist," He ordered her as he slammed her back against the tree and his cock slipped all the way inside her at the same time. Misty wrapped her legs and arms around him and clung to him as he started to fuck her against the tree.
Feeling the way the bark pressed into her back through her shirt and knowing they were out in nature with the bugs and dirt, she felt so naughty. She was exposed and mostly naked with her shirt pushed all the way up to her neck so he could see her breasts bounce up and down as he took her.
"You are so beautiful, I love watching you cum," He whispered to her as his hips pumped into her. She was hot and moist and her muscles tightened around him when he talked dirty to her. He continued to describe how she made him feel and what she did to him. He wrapped his arm around her bottom to hold her up and moved his other hand between them so he could play with her clit and work her closer to the edge of her release. He liked making her cum, it excited him.
"You make me feel so good," Misty closed her eyes and let her head tip back and rub against the tree as his penis slipped between the slick folds and kept burying himself inside of her over and over again. She could feel the tension building in her thighs and stomach as her orgasm was building up. She was close. Pressing herself harder against him she dug her nails into his shoulder. A few moments later stars exploded behind her eyes and she shook in his arms and let out a strangled moan.
Hunter moved his hand and squished her hard up against the tree, wrapping his hands around her hair he pulled her tight against him as he slammed into her and took himself to his own climax. She was still shuddering from her own release when he went over the edge and spilled his seed everywhere.
Panting together and slightly giggly from their afternoon exercise, Hunter helped pull her clothes back in place and put himself away in his pants.
Taking her hand, he pressed a kiss to her knuckles. It was never boring with Misty, she was so free and relaxed with him, he couldn't ever see growing tired of being with her.
"I love you Misty," Hunter whispered to her, looking down at her. "I do want to marry you. I hope you will say yes; I don't think my mother will leave until we set a date."
"I will marry you Hunter, but I don't know if I want your mom planning my wedding," Misty admitted. "I don't mind if she helps, but I want a say in my special day, especially if I only get one wedding."
"You better only get one wedding," Hunter growled at her and then nipped her fingers playfully.
"Goes both way buster," Misty giggled and gave him a playful shove and took off in the forest running.
Hunter narrowed his eyes and took off after her. She was fast and she had no problem using the trees and bushes for cover between changing directions. If he'd had more room he would have cheated and shifted to his dragon form and grabbed her, but there wasn't enough room with the tightness of the trees. Relying on his heightened senses, he followed her scent.
Eventually he caught her hiding behind a large tree and tackled her.
"Mine," He said and claimed her, pressing a forceful kiss to her mouth and pressing her body into the dirt as he laid on top of her, not letting her move. He just let his body weight trap her and laughed when she wiggled against him unable to get free.
"God, you're heavy," Misty said breathlessly, giggling.
"If you want to play games with me, make sure you can handle being caught," Hunter told her and then nibbled on her shoulder through her shirt before pressing another kiss to her mouth.
"Oh, I can handle you Hunter. The better question is, are you up for the chase?" Misty told him and then bit him back surprising him. Then she kissed him. He might be bigger and stronger than she was, but she was feminine and had her own powers here. A little wiggling just right and... exactly. That reaction was exactly what proved the difference between men and women. Grinding her hips up against him she smiled at him when he inhaled sharply.
"We aren't going to be getting back inside quite yet," Hunter told her as he grabbed her wrists and pinned them above her head in the dirt.
"Good," Misty said laughing and then relaxed into his arms as he took her to heaven and back again.
Hunter wasn't sure what the future held for them, but he knew he looked forward to finding out. With Misty at his side, he felt like he could handle anything. She was his other half.
Dragon’s Desire
Part-3
Chapter 13
Misty had no problem with Hunter's mom wanting to help her plan the wedding. It's not like Misty had a mom or any family members around who would care or want to help do it. She wanted to learn to love her soon to be mother in law.
The woman had a good heart, and it was clear she loved her son fiercely. Misty just didn't want a big scene for her wedding. She wanted something small, quiet, maybe in a field with flowers all over. Spring would be perfect. She could wear a white sundress and put flowers in her hair. Keep it simple. Not like Hunter wouldn't be ripping her clothes off shortly after the wedding anyways!
The problem is his mom wanted to invite every person they ever knew, and when you live for thousands of years, you end up knowing a lot of people. Supernatural and otherwise. Misty wasn't sure she wanted something that big and Hunter was avoiding the subject. She was tired of looking at dresses, flowers, and cakes that could feed hundreds of people.
Misty intended to track him down and make him tell his mom to cool her jets. That they wanted a small, immediate family only wedding, or they were doing something crazy. Like eloping. Reno and Vegas were only a few hours’ drive from California. If his mom wanted to go crazy, they could just fix it by not having one at all.
Finding Hunter down in his lair, hiding with his treasure in his dragon form Misty walked straight up to him, unafraid. She'd seen him shift a lot over the last few weeks. Her vet clinic was finally taking off, and she was get
ting busy. Hunter was funding low income vet care for emergencies and spay and neuter programs. Misty admired him. For being so stingy with his treasure, the cash money in his bank didn't seem to hold the same importance to him.
"Hunter, I know you can hear me, so listen up." Misty walked up to him and grabbed his nose and looked him right in the eyes. "If you ever want to have sex with me again, naked, wet, wiggling, and screaming your name, find a way to stop your mother from making our wedding a nightmare. If you won't put a stop to her plans, I want to elope. I still want to marry you, but I cannot handle a wedding full of hundreds of people I don't know. Your sisters and their families will be hard enough for me."
Hunter twitched his tail and cocked his head sideways giving her a dragon look that had Misty frowning.
"I already tried telling her myself. You're her son, you do it! I'm serious, I will run away if there's more than a few people at the wedding. You can't have a wedding with no bride." Misty point a finger at him and glared. "You cannot hide out down here away from your mom so you can avoid dealing with this. I'll sleep in the vet clinic tonight and every night until you get rid of her or stop her."
Hunter shifted back to human and grabbed Misty in his arms, giving her a hard kiss. "I will deal with my mom, but you're not going anywhere my love."
"Stop that. I'm supposed to be mad at you," She told him, blushing when he pressed his naked body up against her.
"But you're beautiful when you're irritated. Your cheeks start to glow, and you get all fired up. It makes me want to take you right here on the cave floor surrounded by my favorite treasure in the whole world. You are my most prized possession." Hunter whispered to her and kissed her.
"Hey, I'm not a possession. I'm a person." Misty reminded him, giving him a shove back. For an overbearing dragon who liked to be in control, he handled her independence fairly well. He tried to be reasonable, and she appreciated the effort. It didn't always come naturally to him not to take charge or try to control things. But with her, he tried to compromise.
