Submission of the Siren Page 5

“I’ll fucking kill him!” Rechavia clenched the knife in his hand. His voice was much calmer now, calculated and deadly.

“You’ll have to join the queue, bro,” Aitan snarled.

Ligia stood and went to touch her sandy-haired boyfriend, but jerked her hand back at the last minute, sensing his wrath. Aitan was usually very easygoing, with a great sense of humour, so it was odd to see him so het up. “You’re early.” She tried for a cheerful approach.

“Good job too!” Rechavia didn’t even look at the girls, he was still glaring at the two men in the distance. Although totally in control of his body, his eyes winced with indecision about whether to retaliate or not.

Aitan looked across at the redheaded beauty. She looked unsure of herself, nervous. Her hands fidgeted as she obviously struggled with her emotions. He took a deep breath. As far as he had seen, she hadn’t really done anything wrong. She hadn’t even been near enough to touch either of the strangers, and had only been enjoying a picnic.

“We’ve got stuff to do, darlin’,” he explained calmly, holding out a hand to her.

She looked warily at the knife in his other hand, as she stepped over to embrace him.

Rechavia looked down at Kalliope. She still hadn’t moved. She looked up at him with feigned innocence.

“What were you doing with them?” Rechavia demanded.

“Having a picnic.” Kalliope’s jaw was tight. Her eyes glared at him, daring him to accuse her of more.

  Rechavia grunted.

“We should get started while it’s still light.” Aitan calmly urged his friend. Holding Ligia in his arms seemed to lighten his mood.

Rechavia clenched the knife again and nodded.

“I’ll see you later, darlin’.” Aitan kissed Ligia softly on the lips and gave her a squeeze before both men made their way back up the beach, in the opposite direction of the strangers.

Ligia gave a sigh of relief as she sat next to her friend again.

“I thought Rech was going to kill those two,” she said, looking over to where the strangers had gone.

“I don’t know what his problem is.” Kalliope shrugged.

Ligia stared at her, open-mouthed. “Really, Kally? You really don’t know?”

Kalliope studied her friend’s astounded expression. “Just a few months ago you wouldn’t think anything of having sex with a stranger and then getting rid of him,” she said bluntly. “And the orgasm you used to have would set you reeling for hours after. Now look at you. You get Aitan whenever you want him, sure, but don’t you get bored? Don’t you ever want the excitement we used to get?”

Ligia sighed. “Kally, those days are gone. We’ve got partners now. Men who love us. We don’t need to have sex with strangers anymore. We have stability now, we don’t rely on the next ship for our food. We don’t have to go to the effort of disposing of bodies and cleaning up the blood anymore. We can just live normal lives like normal people.”

“But we’re not normal people. We’re Sirens.” Kalliope pouted. “I like being a Siren. I knew what was expected of me and I did it. “

“We both did,” admitted her friend. “But that’s all changed now. You heard what Poseidon said, we’re free now. We can do as we want.”

“And I want to be a Siren.” Kalliope stood up irritably and marched up the beach in the direction of her hut.

She felt Ligia’s eyes burning into her as she went, but her friend didn’t follow her.

When she arrived at the hut, she was surprised at the feeling of dread that engulfed her. She had only lived here since Rechavia had come to the island. Before that, she shared a hut with Ligia and another girl, Ademia. They were fun days. Although Ligia was always her closest friend, Ademia had been fun to be with sometimes, too. She sighed, remembering how cruel she and Ligia had been to the plump, blonde Siren. Ademia wasn’t one of the best singers and they used to laugh at her attempts to lure the sailors with her flat notes and out-of-tune warbling. To be fair, she managed to tempt some good-looking men. They obviously weren’t too bothered about what came out of her mouth. She had a pretty round face and large, blue eyes, and her big, saggy boobs actually made Kalliope jealous, though she would never admit it. She enjoyed trying out different foods, and mixed them up in interesting ways. She made lovely griddle scones too, and biscuits which were toasted on the open fire. Ademia enjoyed eating what she made and was rather large because of it, but it didn’t seem to bother her. She now lived in the same hut with another couple of girls. I’ll bet they eat well!

Opening the door, the smell of must assaulted her. Ligia’s house always smelled lovely. She cleaned and dusted every day and always kept fresh flowers in a large jug on the table. Here she could smell stale air and sweaty elmwood leaves permeating from the bedroom. The wooden slats, which covered the windows on cold or rainy nights, were still in place, casting gloomy shadows around the room. The floor was thick with dust, as was every surface in the house. She really didn’t like living like this. Ligia and Ademia hadn’t minded housework. They had cleaned the house while Kalliope had sunbathed, or preened herself. She had often told Ademia that she may as well clean the house, as there was no way she would ever be able to make herself look beautiful. She sighed. Was I really that cruel? She had thought she was being witty, but she realized now that Ademia wouldn’t have thought so.

She stepped into the main living area and looked around sadly. This wasn’t how she had imagined her life at all.

“Awful, isn’t it?” A deep voice came from the doorway, and she looked around to see Rechavia, shirtless, filling the space. His bronze muscles rippled as he placed his hands on his hips in a rather overpowering stance. He looked gorgeous, and she felt a little flip in her stomach. He didn’t look angry now, just, well, dominant.

She sighed, partly because he was right and partly because he was so gorgeous.

“I’m sorry, I know I’ve let you down,” she said, not wanting to look him in the eye. She felt a burn inside her. She didn’t want to let him down. She wanted to be like Ligia, to look after the house so her man would have somewhere nice to come home to. It suddenly dawned on her that she wanted to do things for Rechavia. He deserved it.

He took a step closer to her and stroked her shoulder. A quiver went through her body. It was only a light touch but she felt it like a hot poker diving right down to her girly parts. It was more than sexy, it meant so much more.

“Let’s talk,” he said in his soft growl.

There was something ominous about him. Something she couldn’t put her finger on. She felt a little scared. The feeling of dread washed through her again. She realized that she could be about to lose him.

He ushered her to where two chairs sat opposite each other. They didn’t have a table, as they never ate meals here, they always went next door. He pulled the shutters from the window and allowed some evening light to shine through, lighting up the dust in pinkish streaks.

“Did you have sex with him?” Rechavia threw the question out there, making her gulp in surprise. She felt herself begin to flush slightly. Having sex with anyone had never been an issue before, but now, somehow, it felt wrong. Dirty, even.

“No, not properly.” She hoped that would suffice. She was wrong.

  “You had oral sex.”

She stared at him, stunned. Oral sex wasn’t sex, surely. She opened her mouth to speak before realizing she didn’t have a clue what to say.

“I…er…well, yes,” she managed eventually. There was no point in denying it, it wasn’t even a question.

“And you think that’s all right?”

“Well…I…I don’t know,” she answered truthfully. Her mind was in a whirl. Did it matter? Was it OK to have oral sex with someone? After all, they weren’t married. They had never spoken about monogamy before.

He sighed. He looked more sad than angry, which unnerved her even more. He studied her face in silence.

“I think that’s the problem,” he said at last.<

“Well, you’ve never said…” she wasn’t sure whether to continue or not. She was genuinely confused.

“I know.” He nodded slowly. “I’ve never told you what I expected from you. I assumed too much.”

“But…” She took a deep breath, sure that he was going to walk away from her. For good. Tears welled in her eyes and she felt herself growing hot. She wrung her hands together. He was going and there was nothing she could do to stop him. Nothing she could say. Her mind whirled but she couldn’t find the words she so desperately needed.

“Please!” It slipped out of her mouth as the tears spilled down her cheeks.

  Rechavia bit his lip thoughtfully.

“Give me a chance,” she blurted out.

“Is that what you really want?”

She stared at him in astonishment. How could he doubt it? How could he not know how she felt? “Yes.”

  “Why?”

  “What?”

“Why do you want another chance? Why shouldn’t we just admit it hasn’t worked out for us and I’ll leave?”

  No! He couldn’t leave—they couldn’t have failed.

“I love you.” The words tumbled out of her mouth, as if they had been lost at the back of a cupboard and suddenly came rolling out when something had been disturbed.

He gazed into her face. She felt him studying her before he spoke.

“I love you, too, Kalliope,” he said slowly, “but I can see that we’re not making each other happy. If we stay together, we will have to change that. We will have to talk about what we want, what we need, and if it’s not the same thing we will have to consider going our separate ways.”

“Or adapt.” The words flew out of her mouth before she really thought about them.

He looked taken aback. He was thoughtful for a minute and then nodded, a flicker of a smile dancing along his gorgeous lips.

  Thank God!

“I want you to stay with me.” She rushed the words out, eager that he be made firmly aware of the fact.

  “Why?”

She sighed, exasperated. “Because I love you, I told you.”

  “And?”

She hadn’t expected that. She searched her brain for an answer. Not just any answer, the right answer. It wasn’t there. She panicked. Her face was getting hot again as she wracked her brain. She had nothing. Her eyes pleaded with him as she gazed into his beautiful, bronze face. His cut jaw was firm but not unkind. His big sexy mouth with perfect, gleaming teeth. His gorgeous brown eyes seemed to see right into her soul. Oh, how she hoped he could see it now. See what she felt even though she couldn’t tell him.

  He did.

“OK, here’s what I think,” he began slowly.

She was still staring at him.

“I think that you do love me and you do care about me, but you don’t know how to show it. Am I right?”

“Yes.” She gasped. He had read her mind, that’s exactly what she should have said.

“I can tell you how I would like you to show me. You might not like the idea but I hope you will give it a try. If it doesn’t work we will talk about it and find out why, and take it from there. Do you agree?”

“Yes.” She was so relieved he was taking control, making decisions. His whole demeanour seemed to have changed. He no longer appeared angry or frustrated with her. He was calm, authoritative. She felt a glow inside her.

“As a Siren you had training, direction. You were taught what to do and you did it, correct?”

  “Yes.”

“Now you have no direction and you aren’t sure what you are supposed to do.”

“Yes.” His deep voice did things to her girly parts, and his commanding tone made her clench her pussy.

“If I gave you directions, would you follow them?”

She thought for a moment. Right now she would do anything he asked of her, but she was aware that things might change.

  “What sort of directions?”

“I can tell you what I want you to do, domestic chores and so forth. I can also tell you how to please me sexually. How would you feel about following orders?”

She could feel his eyes burning into her as a gush of liquid flooded her panties. Does he know? He was studying her closely. His serious expression had a softer appearance now. She loved the look he was giving her—strong and foreboding but at the same time incredibly sexy.

“Um…I could try,” she said, crossing her legs as she felt her pussy clench again.

The look of satisfaction on his face made her smile. She felt genuinely happy that she had pleased him. How odd!

“You would be rewarded for what you do to please me, but you must be punished for your misdemeanours.”

Her pussy clenched and she felt another gush of liquid. The word ‘punished’ had had a most unexpected effect on her. Her mind immediately went back to the spanking she had received a few months ago, and her breath hitched in her throat.

“Wh…what sort of punishment?” she asked, half intrepidly, half hopefully.

His eyes gleamed with mischief and his lips quirked up slightly. “Whatever punishment I decide.”

  “W…will it hurt?”

  “Would you like it to?”

She was stunned at his question, and stared at him incredulously. Who would like to be hurt? Then she remembered the spanking again, that started off sore but it soon became so pleasurable she could hardly bear it. Her breath hitched again and her eyes fell to the floor.

  “I see.”

Her eyes shot back up to his face. He seemed to be able to read her thoughts.

“There are a couple of things we need to discuss first, though,” he continued, his look becoming a little grave. “Although we have never talked about it, I expect you to remain monogamous. You are not to have any sexual contact with another man, do you understand?”

His eyes pierced her soul. He would know if she lied.

  “Yes.” She almost whispered.

“And I will remain faithful to you, pretty maid,” he promised.

She stared at him in shock. She hadn’t expected him to say that. The thought of him with another woman flashed through her mind and she suddenly realized that she would be horrified if he had sex with someone else. She had never imagined it before. Her feelings for Rechavia were like none she had ever felt before. This must be love, she thought to herself. She had said the words, but now she realized that she actually felt them. Hurt, jealousy and disappointment were all parts of love. She shuddered at the sudden revelation.

“I’m going to clean the hut.” It was more of a thought, but she said it aloud.

He smiled, his beautiful teeth gleaming in the half light. “I can show you how I want it done,” he offered.

She smiled with surprise. She had assumed she would work it out as she went along, never having cleaned before, but it would be really good to get some help. He sent her next door to borrow Ligia’s twig-broom while he grabbed all the leaves that served as bedding and threw them out. He opened all the shutters. Although it was evening, a pink glow shone through, affording enough light to see. When she came back, she was also carrying a handful of assorted leaves.

“Ligia showed me the best ones to use for different jobs.” She smiled proudly.

  Rechavia grinned.

“Great,” he said. “There’s just one more thing. Get naked!”

  Chapter 6

Rechavia wasn’t in bed when Kalliope woke the next morning. The leaves felt crisp and clean, as they had replaced the old ones with new. The sun was streaming through the window, where the shutters had been open all night. The room felt fresh and clean. She smiled to herself, remembering the fun they had had cleaning the hut. Although he hadn’t intended to remove his own clothes, he eventually relented when his cock became so engorged that his trousers were too uncomfortable to wear.

She lay back, contented. She had worked hard last night, and then played hard, tiring herself out so much that she had a really peaceful night
s sleep. She was also relieved that she and Rechavia had worked things out. They had worked up such an appetite for sex by the time they got to bed they couldn’t keep their hands off each other. They had had rough sex, then gentle sex in the moonlight. He had woken her some time in the early hours with a massive hard-on. Her delight at giving him a blowjob surprised even her. Somehow, it was a pleasure to make him happy.

  “You’re kidding me!”

A shout from the main room shattered her reverie and she jumped out of bed to find Rechavia sitting with the computer on his lap, his face as black as thunder. She ran over and knelt beside him on the floor. She stared up at him, not sure whether to speak or not.

Rechavia ran his hand through her messy, long, black hair. It seemed to soothe him a little. He was still staring at the computer screen, seething.

“Can they do this?” Rechavia asked into the built-in mic.

“My dad’s got some contacts in the government offices. He’s going to call them today.” Eban’s voice came over the airwaves. “I’ll let you know what they say.”

“Thanks for that,” Rechavia said with a sigh. “How’s Amaranda and your folks, by the way?”

“They’re fine. Amaranda’s limp has almost gone now, she’s just feeling a bit nauseous at the moment, probably something she ate. Dad’s a load better, oh, and Mom says hi.” Jerusha’s voice came from somewhere in the distance as they spoke.

“Great, say hi back. Speak to you later.”

He shut down the computer lid, closing his eyes for a minute while he continued to stroke Kalliope’s hair. She waited quietly until he was ready to speak. She loved the way he stroked her hair. His big hands were soothing, loving. She closed her eyes and enjoyed the sensation.

“Thank you,” he said at last. She opened her eyes to see him smiling down at her. Still naked, she had knelt at his side, her back straight and hands on her lap. She hadn’t dared touch him as he sounded so cross. She smiled back at him, suddenly feeling a little coy.

“You look beautiful like that, pretty maid,” he said thoughtfully. “I think I would like you to take that position whenever we are together.”
