Shannon, Shae - The Beginning of Eternity [Decadent Delights] (Siren Publishing Classic) Page 17

“Well, you make my mouth water, so I think it might just increase sales. Your hot little body is enough to make any man hunger. Plus, this is the night shift. Delicate humans aren’t exactly the clientele at 3:00 a.m. And I know everyone in here. The shifters are way more open with their sexuality than vampires. When the heat hits them, they will literally fuck in the middle of the street. So, I can grope my wife a little without it hurting business.”

Chloe shut the case and spun around to face him. Both of her hands came to rest on his cheeks as she pulled him in for a kiss. It lasted a little longer and went a little hotter than she had planned, but the fire he had lit inside of her made her drop her composure.

“I need you downstairs soon, Chlo. What time does Amy come up to take over?”

“She should have been here twenty minutes ago, but I know that Blake is the cause of her being late. He enjoys the blush that she sports when she has to explain her tardiness to me. I swear, that man is a turd. But, it takes a heck of a man to tame Amy, so he is perfect for her.”

Gabe smiled as he traced her jawline with the tip of his finger. “They are perfect for each other. He has always been a handful also.”

Chloe frantically pulled his hand away and ran for the back. Gabe followed suit and found her standing over the trash can, spilling the contents of her stomach inside. He held her hair and lightly caressed her back until the heaving subsided. Gabe reached down and picked her up. He cradled her against him tightly, leaving kisses along her forehead. “How far along are you, baby girl?”

“Two months yesterday. I wanted to wait and make it special when I told you. It is getting harder and harder to hide my abrupt vomiting from everyone, though.”

“Oh, angel, I am so happy. And this is the best gift you could ever give me.”

“Well, there’s a little more to it than that. The pack doctor took an ultrasound to make sure everything was going okay. It turns out, we are expecting triplets. A lot of obstacles are ahead of us, and the doc said I would probably have to be bedridden the last couple months. They are healthy and happy so far though.”

After the look of pure shock shook from Gabe’s features, he let out the biggest “whoop! whoop!” anyone had ever heard. “I would love nothing more than you in bed with me for two months. Maybe we should start the bed rest now!” She swatted playfully at his shoulder.

He ran into the dining area of the store and announced to everyone, “I am going to be a father! We are having triplets! Yahoo!” A round of applause sounded around them as Gabe carried her to the hall. He yelled at Amy to cover the store as they walked by their room and took his wife back to bed. This was another beginning of eternity, and Gabriel couldn’t wait to see what the next one would be.

  ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Shae Shannon was born in California, where she lived until the age of thirteen. Her family decided to uproot and move to a small town in Oklahoma. It was fate, Karma, or coincidence that had put both Shae and her future husband on the paths of destiny and love. She spotted him in the back of a pickup truck while cruising town, his hot sexiness drawing her attention and her heart. One introduction later and she knew that he was her soul mate. He was also from California, and had grown up only thirty miles from her.

After marriage, Dustin joined the Army. They spent nine years in northern New York and four years in Georgia. He served three tours overseas, and numerous stateside training exercises. It was during the long, stressful, lonesome deployments that Shae found she could escape into imagination and majestically teleport into juicy books. Her most prized gift came in the form of a Kindle, sent from her husband in Iraq. She quickly filled her digital library and adds to it every week.

They are blessed with three kids ages sixteen, ten, and five. Two dogs, a hamster, and a fish make for a chaotic, crazy daily routine that Shae handles like a pro, and with a lot of humor.

Needing to branch out more, Shae picked up her laptop and began to write, allowing her boisterous imagination to fly. After what seemed like an eternity, she finally created her first novel that soon became published by Siren Publishing. She was finally on the path of her dreams of becoming an author.

Shae currently lives in Northwest Arkansas where the tea is sweet, the grass is green, and people still say ma’am and thank you. Every summer, they load up the family and head for the lake for swimming and fishing. There is not a water park or swimming pool in the world that could ever compare to a rope swing and a floaty. The only change the future will bring is that Shae will be scribbling and writing as she floats on the water and works on her tan.
