Trev then looked down at me. “You better get his leg right. His life depends on it.”

With that said, Trev walked to the end of the bar and met Hudson. The two men were eye to eye. Built like stone and probably as strong as stone. No, stronger. Like steel.

Trev said something to Hudson and the two hugged. As they hugged, Trev looked right at me. He had an evil look in his eyes. A look I didn’t trust. A look that told me whatever had happened behind those closed doors with the other two bikers had something to do with Hudson and his leg.

  His life depended on it?

  Yeah, no pressure on me.

Hudson bent over and his shirt pulled up. I felt like a guy ogling a woman but I caught sight of ink. On the right side of his body. He took a sleeping bag out of a closet and I blamed the two beers I had to drink as I walked to him and grabbed at his shirt.

“What do you have here?” I asked and pulled his shirt up.

How had I not noticed it before?

Hudson lifted his right hand and let me lift his shirt. My hand slid along rock hard muscle. He was warm, still a little sweaty from working the bar. I was instantly turned on, my panties almost unable to keep up and absorb what was happening to me.

The tattoo was a dragon. Hidden on the side of his body, right to the point where if he put his arm down you wouldn’t see it.

  “A dragon?”

  “I was drunk.”

  “Do you regret it?”

  “I regret nothing.”

  “So what’s it mean?”

“Who said it has to have meaning?”

“I thought tattoos were like stories,” I said.

“What about yours?” he asked with a sly grin.

I felt my face burn with heat.

  “Mine…”

Hudson spun me and pinned against the doorway to the closet. His hands were lightning fast. He tore my shirt upward and pulled my pants down, showing the little heart I had tattooed on my hip. I guess it was no real secret considering he had already stripped me naked once before.

  “Holy shit,” I groaned.

“That’s what I thought,” Hudson whispered. He pressed his body to mine and then quickly broke away. “I’m going to rinse the night off my body. Join me if you want. Unless you want to be alone in here.”

Hudson took off his shirt, showing a body that had to have been cut from stone. A work of perfection that took years of planning and execution. Or maybe just a wild outlaw who lived hard and fast.

He left the bedroom and I chased after him.

He opened the third door down on the right and it was a bathroom.

The second I stepped inside he shut the door and locked it. He turned the water on, full blast, full heat, steam rising within a few seconds. Then he just stood there, arms at his sides. My eyes danced up and down his beautiful body about fifty times. So much that I felt dizzy and had to shut my eyes and regain my equilibrium.

When I opened my eyes, I looked up to his. “Trev said something. That your life is in danger because of your leg.”

“I’m not here to talk right now, sweetheart.” He opened his jeans and pushed them down. “I’m here to take care of some business.”

His cock popped free, throbbing, half erect, bigger than any I’d seen before.

I stepped forward and reached for him. My body was on fire and his body was gasoline. My heart and soul wanted to be water to extinguish whatever was happening, but it was too late. The moment my fingers touched the skin of his rod I was addicted. Fingertips scaled tip to root and then around, trying to grab him. My fingers could hardly reach around his girth. I tugged at him, feeling his hardness getting harder. I eased my grip and slid up to the well-defined head of his cock. I played for a few seconds, my thumb rubbing over his tip again and again.

  Hudson groaned, his body tensing.

I liked being in control of his pleasure and his pain. He reached out with his left hand and put his palm flat against the wall. That allowed him to take the pressure off his injured leg. I looked down past the bulging cock in my hand for a second to look at his left leg. It was swollen, bruised, not healing the way I wished.

Hudson threw his right hand forward and grabbed my left hip. He pulled back and thrust forward, showing me the power of his body and his cock.

I wanted him inside me, filling me, his strong arms holding me. I wanted him protecting me.

Hudson pressed toward me, forcing me back. He didn’t stop until I was against the bathroom sink. The steam from the hot water started to make it harder to breathe. His hands came together at my pants, tearing them down my legs with ease. Hudson then thrust two big and strong fingers between my legs, entering me. My body jumped, right up onto the bathroom sink.

My hand gripped his cock tighter, jerking him with as much speed as I could offer.

His fingers plunged deeper inside me, twisting, pulling out, forcing me to cry with a desperate sense of relief. I put my head back and groaned as his huge fingers went right back inside me.

As he crashed forward, I heard his left hand hit the wall. His leg was in pain. But his fingers felt so good. And his cock was beautifully thick in my hand as I stroked him.

  “Hudson… your leg…”

“Enough,” he growled at me. His lips touched my neck. “You don’t stop until I come.”

His tongue flicked at my neck, making an X before he kissed and sucked. I cried out. His fingers pushed and pulled between my legs. His body was pressed tight against mine. I could feel the burning heat pouring off his cock. I hurried to open my hand and pressed his shaft against my skin. He was thrusting, fucking between my open hand and my belly. Sliding back and forth, grunting with each pump of his strong body. And with each pump of his body came the thrusting of his fingers inside me.

My free hand went back, pushing at the wall, my hips rocking with his touch.

I moved my open hand up and down his long cock as fast as I could, feeling from the tenderness of his tip to his steel-like shaft to the subtle thatch of pubic hair at his root.

Fuck, he was an outlaw and he was perfect. Everything bad yet everything good.

Everything started to move faster. My breathing. His grunts. The pumps of his body. The thrusts of his fingers. My body pressing and sliding against the bathroom sink. At one point the entire counter started to move, pulling away from the wall and smashing right up against it, over and over.

I could swear we were going to break a pipe or something.

  “Fuck, Hudson,” I groaned.

“I’m ready,” he finally said. His tongue traveled to the other side of my neck to my ear. “I want you to fucking feel me, sweetheart. Get ready.”

He kissed up to my mouth and then pulled away, leaving my lips quivering for a kiss.

It was fucking torture, but at the exact second he pulled away, he started to come.

He pressed his fingers deeper than anyone had ever been inside me. He hit the depths of my core that I could have only fantasized about. I gasped for air and felt the first of his release as it splashed against my body.

I stared down at him, my hand trying to wrap around the head of his pulsing cock, feeling him release all over me. It hit my shirt, my belly, a warmth that ran easily down my body to the top of my pants.

He grunted over and over, thrusting when he came.

When the noises on the outside stopped, the noises on the inside picked up.

I felt my heart thudding like a wrecking ball smashing a building. My heart, head, soul all in an epic battle to find the wrong, the regret, the guilt, the right, the what-the-fuck-ever.

Hudson broke away from me and stepped out of his jeans. He turned and walked to the shower. I admired his ass, his bare ass, so chiseled that my hands itched to reach out and grab it.

I wanted to feel that ass while he fucked me.

He stepped into the shower and there was a knock at the door.

I pulled my pants up and cracked the door open a little.

  It
was Cade.

  “You almost done?”

  “What?”

“My room is right next door. Figured either you were getting pounded by Hudson or someone was doing some renovation.”

  My jaw dropped.

Cade smiled big. “Keep it the fuck down. And clean up your mess.”

He pointed and I looked down.

My shirt showed what Hudson had left behind.

When I looked up, Cade was gone.

I shut the door and put my back against it.

I looked at the shower and saw the outline of Hudson’s body.

Suddenly, a sick sense of reality crashed down at me.

I was supposed to be his physical therapist, not his physical play thing.

  I shook my head.

  No more.

It couldn’t happen again. No more.

There was no way I was going to sink deeper into this crazy world of his.

Hudson slept on the floor in a sleeping bag. He gave me his bed. It was a kind gesture and it took all I had not to ask him to just get in the bed. I kept my mouth shut and just tended to his leg. I helped to bandage him up with some medicine that would ease the inflammation and relax his muscles. I begged him to take a pain pill but he downed two shots of whiskey instead.

I was wide awake far into the night.

When I did fall asleep, it wasn’t for long.

My phone vibrated against the pillow.

I popped my head up and saw it was a text message from Leslie.

Sorry if I wake you. Glen wants a meeting with you first thing in the morning. About what happened to the building.

  I didn’t respond.

I was wide awake once again.

  Glen was my boss.

And I was going to get fired.

  HUDSON

I opened the door to the conference room and saw Prez sitting at the head of the table. The other two Presidents representing their charters were standing. Villie and Miller, respectively. They both nodded at me.

“Okay, let’s split up and figure this out,” Prez said. He put his hand over a piece of paper. He folded it up and tucked it into his leather cut.

Villie and Miller walked to the door and I nodded at both of them as they passed.

“Hudson,” Prez said. “I wanted to fill you on everything we’ve got.”

“Where’s the rest of the table?”

“They’re coming in a minute. Take a seat. Get off that leg of yours.”

I tried to walk as straight and true as I could to the head of the table. I took my seat and Prez just stared me down.

  It was an uncomfortable silence.

I was thankful when the door opened again and it was the rest of the guys pouring in.

Everyone took their seats but Cade took the long way around the table. As he passed me by, he crouched down.

“Enjoy your physical therapy session, brother?”

He patted me on the shoulder and kept walking.

It didn’t mean shit to me. Fuck Cade if he heard what Cora and I had done in the bathroom.

  Cora.

She had to leave this morning to get back to work. Prez lifted the lockdown at sunrise. I still made two prospects tail her to work, just in case. I didn’t trust a thing out there anymore. My entire life had been flipped on its side in the last little while because of some Irish prick and some physical therapist.

That wasn’t like me to let things rattle me.

When the table was full, there was the sound of lighters clicking shut, the gulps of booze, and the heaving breathing of a bunch of outlaws wanting to go crazy.

“We finally made contact late last night,” Jasper said. “Both Garvan and Bryant on the same call.”

“Oh, shit,” Cade said. “What did they say?”

Prez pointed to Cade. “Did you get into the police system?”

“Yeah, no problem,” Cade said. “They’ve got shit. Our dead body is not on their list of priorities. They don’t even have a name. They threw the folder into a desk and moved on.”

  “Shawn,” Jasper said.

  “What?” I asked.

“That was his name: Shawn. The guy you shot, who was in the shallow grave.”

“So they knew him?” I asked.

“Your driver is Aaron,” Prez said. “They’re part of a rogue group running wild. Garvan thought they were contained to Belfast and surrounding areas. But they traveled.”

“Wait a second,” Cash said. “Rogue?”

“Look,” Prez said, “our history with the O’Nuall family and the Irish go back years. To the roots of this club that are still planted firm in the ground. Shit has changed over the years, mostly for the better, but the relationship was built on crime, murder, and deceit. This situation is touchy.”

“Everything we do is touchy,” I said.

“Hudson,” Jasper said. “Bryant said there are groups that have broken off from the family to create their own coalition, okay? They run rogue and wild. They try to capture the essence of what once was. A time when it was okay to run fucking wild, kill, take, whatever. Most of the groups are banished far away and sit around and talk, drink, and repeat it all until they go broke. Then they try to commit crimes and end up getting taken out. Some of the groups have tried to move stateside but failed. Until now.”

“How big is the group?” I asked.

  “They don’t know,” Prez said.

  “What?”

“It’s been a slow-moving process,” Jasper said. “Aaron is smart. And he’s pissed. His old man was taken out by one of us when he was just a kid.”

“Jesus Christ,” Xavier said. “Old blood wanting fresh blood.”

“He thinks he can take down the MC,” Jasper said. “Bryant had to have several talks with him. He would do anything to track our movements and get involved. When we were dealing with the guns a while back, Aaron and Shawn were part of it. Shawn was used strictly as muscle.”

“Makes sense,” I said. “The guy had some serious size.”

“Garvan said that Shawn liked money and women,” Prez said.

  “Who doesn’t?” Cash threw in.

“Except Shawn was dumb enough to follow Aaron here,” Prez said.

“Okay,” I said. “But why me? What’s the connection there?”

Jasper looked at Prez. This silent talking bullshit wasn’t going to fly with me.

  “VP,” I said. “What?”

Prez gave a nod, giving Jasper the okay to talk to me.

“He’s a well-trained assassin for the O’Nuall family,” Jasper said.

  “Meaning?”

“When he sets his sights on a target, he destroys it,” Jasper said.

“Yeah, but he tried to run down Cash,” I said.

Jasper shrugged his shoulders. “The guy is fucked in the head. Years of training and probably propaganda. It backfired on the Irish, though, now that he broke away on his own. He came right for you again at the physical therapy center, didn’t he? What does that imply?”

“That he’s fucking following me,” I said.

“You won’t be alone, brother,” Austin said. “We’re all right with you.”

“And I dragged someone else into this now,” I said.

“She got out clean,” Prez said. “She’s just your physical therapist. Keep it that way, Hudson. That will keep her safe.”

  I gritted my teeth.

There was no staying away from Cora at this point. It had gone too far.

I caught Cade glancing at me, knowing what he knew about me and Cora. But he kept his mouth shut, which I appreciated.

“Okay,” Tristan said. “So, we have the Irish on our side?”

“Whatever that means,” Jasper said. “They’re not going to help us but they’re not out to hurt us.”

“We have no support from them for their rogue members?” Max asked.

“Hey, I ran rogue myself,” Prez said. “I ran the Lost Men for a while before coming to Frelen
to take a seat. It wasn’t up to Back Down Devil to find me and stop me.”

“You weren’t trying to goddamn murder people,” Trent yelled.

“How do you know?” Prez asked.

  The entire table fell silent.

There was a deep understanding between all of us brothers that secrets were weighed on each of our shoulders. Some of the secrets would forever remain silent. Some would come out with time, trust, and a little whiskey. If there was a secret that could hurt the club, then it needed to be placed right on the goddamn table or you were putting your life and cut on the line.

“This is a club problem,” Prez said. “If you really think about it… do we want a bunch of Irish running around our streets? Do you really trust them?”

There was a collective murmur of no.

“So, what do we do, Prez?” I asked. “I’ll put myself right in the storm. Use me as bait. If I’m his target, then let me be the target. I’ll stand in the middle of the damn road and let him come at me. Put his focus on and attention to me…”

“That’s honorable,” Prez said. “Right now, we’re collecting intel. I have Villie pushing toward Reno. I have Miller pushing down to Frelen. They’re running contacts south into Mexico for us.”

“He’s probably hiding up the mountains.”

“I have Diesel up there with a small crew,” Prez said. “We’re protected. We’re just not safe.”

Damn, if that wasn’t a stab to the gut.

“For now we just protect ourselves,” Prez said. “Garvan is supposed to send me information about Aaron.”

“But now we vote on our actions, just so we’re clear,” Jasper said. “We vote to find and kill. Even though Aaron is rogue, he’s still connected. He’s an Irish connection. He’s killed one of his own, which puts him in the sad graves of the O’Nuall to begin with, but he’s still Irish. He’s still O’Nuall. We know the risk of killing…”

“You think they’ll start a war over that?” Duke asked.

“Fuck me,” Cash said. “If they do that… I swear…”

“There’s always a possibility,” Prez cut in. “They love to fight. They want in on our lucrative territories. They can overrun these town with guns, drugs, and force and clean up easily.”
