Broken: a bad boy romance novel Page 17

I groaned. It felt good. I was being teased. I wanted more.

Hudson pushed at my panties, and I started to move, bringing my legs forward, falling to my ass, letting him strip the last piece of clothing off me. With my elbows on the bed, I gripped the sheets as tight as I could. The outlaw lumbered over me with eyes that were evil yet filled with a lusty romance that honestly frightened me. I had never felt scared of love in all my life. But Hudson scared me. And he scared me in a way that I wanted to be scared.

As he came forward, it was like time slowed. Watching him inch closer. The heat of my body radiating. My inner thighs trembling with anticipation. My toes already curling. Even my core was aching, my clit throbbing, my body knowing how good it was going to be.

The second he touched me, he paused. His thick tip pressing against my tightness, greeting me with a sensation that could never be replicated.

“Tell me you were thinking about leaving,” he said.

  “Hudson…”

  “Tell me, sweetheart.”

“I was thinking about it,” I admitted.

Hudson leaned down and kissed me. Then we were nose to nose. “Sweetheart, you can run, but you can’t leave. You’re in my fucking heart forever. I’ll die to keep you alive.”

I opened my mouth to respond, and that’s when he thrust forward, barreling into me with a romantic force that left me with a breathless whimper. He kissed me again, but I couldn’t kiss back for a few seconds as my body tried to adjust to his sheer size and what was happening throughout my entire form.

And Hudson wasn’t done there, either. His forehead rested against mine. His body pumped with speed and precision that didn’t lead me to the edge of an orgasm but shot me out of a fucking canon off the fucking cliff. I pulled at the sheets on my bed. The muscles in my legs were so tight they started to hurt. I rocked my hips as fast as I could to keep up with his pace.

The sound of our bodies coming together filled the room. That was met with the grunts of Hudson’s deep, rough voice and the helpless whimpers of myself.

When I started to come, I threw my left leg around to his and pulled. My arms started to shake until I let go of the covers and fell to my back. I arched, crying out Hudson’s name, grabbing for his arms.

He came down at me, my hands forced to slide up and around to his back. I clawed at him, feeling a feral growl in my throat that I was unable to breathe out. And my breath got stolen again when I felt Hudson’s mouth latch onto my right breast. He was ravenous and without shame as he sucked it so hard that I let out a yell. He pulled back, his teeth nearly coming together at my nipple. He kept pulling, making me move with him, bringing me to the edge of pain before letting go. The sense of relief made me sigh, but he went right back to work on me.

I’d never felt someone take care of top and bottom in such wild unison. His lower body pushed and fucked with strong thrusts. His mouth moved from breast to breast, up to my neck, the tip of his tongue flirting with my skin, then going right back down again.

Hudson then moved down past my breasts and started to kiss my belly. He pulled his cock back and held steady for a few seconds before exiting me. I threw my hands to the bed again and cried out.

  No, no, no, no, no…

I looked down and saw his tongue touch just below my belly button. His eyes darted up at me, and with a sinful precision, he drew a perfectly straight line down until he touched my clit. He rested his tongue for a second as my jaw dropped at the beautiful pleasure flowing through me. He then hooked his tongue, using just the tip to flick against my clit. My hips bucked at him, my ass moving up off the bed. I put my head back again and let Hudson have his way. He needed a meal to fill his outlaw soul, and I was there for the taking.

And he took me…again…all the way to that wild edge.

His hands cupped around my ass, holding me where he wanted me. His tongue moved from my clit to my folds, then back up again. Not leaving a spot undone between my legs. I had handfuls of sheets again as I cried out and came for a second time.

When I came, he closed his mouth against me and suckled, thirsting all that poured from me.

Hudson then retraced the journey of his tongue, climbing my body, bringing his lower half to me, entering me again. His mouth touched mine, and I received the wild taste of my own body—a first for me.

I kissed him back, put a hand to the back of his head, and stayed there, feeling him thrusting until he reached his own climax.

He gave back all he took, holding inside me until we were both staring at each other, out of breath, gently kissing in between breaths and sighs.

I touched his face, tracing the hidden line of his steel cut jaw.

Would I get a chance to experience forever with him?

  HUDSON

I traced a line down the middle of Cora’s back. She had her head on my chest. The bed was a mess. The floor was a mess. We were a mess. My leg hurt. My shoulder hurt. My body hurt. The dumb cliche of saying you felt like you got hit by a truck proved a little too true for me. I had been hit by an SUV and a car. Driven by the same man.

  But before that…

“Why were you going to leave, sweetheart?”

“In my mind, it makes sense to protect myself and you,” she said. “I blame myself.”

  “No, don’t.”

  “You saved me, Hudson.”

She looked up at me. I touched her cheek.

“Yeah. And I would do it again.”

  “What happens now?”

  “You answer my question.”

  “Which is?”

I took a breath. “Do you know anything about David and the driver? Just so you know, his name is Aaron. And it’s not a good situation.”

“No,” she said. “I never met him before. I met David a few times, but after he gave me the money, I never saw him again. I told you, he would contact me and I’d leave money in my car. This was the first time he wanted to meet up.”

“Because of me,” I said. “The club. Aaron is using David. We don’t know how or why.”

“I wish I knew something,” she said. “I had no clue that was the driver. Not at first. He struck me as familiar. But the whole thing…”

I felt her start to shake in my arms. Living the outlaw life had hardened my heart and soul. Violence and death was just normal for me. But for Cora, it wasn’t.

“Hudson, I got jobs offers,” she whispered.

  “Yeah?”

“The CEO of the company called and said I could go anywhere I want. My friend from the bar? Alex? The night we met? She’s in Oregon with her sick grandmother. She offered me a place if I go up there. I was thinking about it, Hudson. The suitcase has been on my bed, empty for a day. And today I was going to pack, but I just dropped everything.”

  “Why?” I asked.

“I don’t want to lose you.”

“You won’t lose me,” I said. “I can’t say much, but this whole thing is coming to an end soon. If I can’t ride by then, I’m done.”

“You were riding,” she said. “I can help you again.”

“No more help,” I said. “No more putting yourself in danger. You should go to Oregon, sweetheart. Go up there and settle. When the club votes me out, I’ll come to you.”

Cora propped herself up on her bed. Her breasts were so beautiful. So full and delicious. Her eyes were just as pretty, but in a different way.

“That’s crazy,” she said. “You can’t just give up.”

“I’m not giving up,” I said. “I’m giving in. To you. To love. To whatever we have right now.”

The thought had been running through my mind for a while. If I couldn’t be the patched-in table member the club needed…then what good was I? Losing the cut to injury was one thing. I could walk away with a handshake, knowing my brothers would miss me. I could then be free to leave. It would be a different sense of freedom, but I’d have Cora.

I leaned in and kissed her forehead.

  I rolle
d to my right and grabbed my jeans. I saw I had a couple missed calls from Jasper.

I hurried to call him back, and the message was urgent.

Garvan and Bryant were ready to talk.

I looked over my shoulder at the naked beauty on the bed. She smiled at me, but I saw the fear in her eyes.

I ended the call and said, “I have to go. Pack that suitcase and head out. Text me where you are when you get there.”

  “Hudson, wait.”

I shook my head, hurrying to get dressed. Cora tried to match my speed and met me at the door. She grabbed my leather cut.

“Whatever you’re thinking, don’t,” I said. “You know what’s right. Okay? We’re going to make this right. I love you, Cora.”

“I love you, Hudson,” she whispered to me.

I kissed her and got the hell out of there.

Yeah, I was sure I was going to lose my cut. Hell, maybe even my life. But outlaws like me were on the better side of crazy. We loved a good fight.

And I was in for the fight of my life.

I stepped out of my truck, and Bryant went right for my throat.

  Not literally but close enough.

“Where’s yer ride?” he asked with a sly grin.

“I like my truck,” I said.

“Aye,” Bryant said with a nod. “Your bum leg, huh?”

“Nothing I can’t handle. Where were you when your guys were breaking rogue?”

That produced a certain tension in the air.

Prez stepped forward, putting a hand out between me and Bryant as though that could stop us if we decided to throw some punches.

Bryant stood outside a massive black SUV. Garvan sat in the backseat with the window down. Garvan was in a fancy suit while Bryant was dressed in all black, some kind of turtleneck sweater choking him. They looked tired, which served them right for traveling all the way from Ireland. But that couldn’t mean anything good, either.

“We’re here to talk about our problem,” Garvan said from the SUV.

  “Then let’s talk,” Prez said.

“We’ve got a wide search out there,” Jasper said. “Aaron is smart and knows how to survive. He may have recently started working with someone else…”

  “Who?” Bryant asked.

Prez looked at me and nodded.

“Some loan shark scumbag named David. I don’t think he’s Irish.”

“You owe money to this man?”

“No,” I said. “Friend of the club…”

“A woman,” Garvan said without looking at me. “You guys and yer pussy.”

“Without that pussy, we wouldn’t have Aaron where we have him,” I said, trying to show confidence. “What the fuck have you guys done?”

“We’ve found him,” Bryant said without hesitation.

  “What?” Prez asked.

“We found him,” Bryant repeated. “Trew our contacts around here. We have guys everywhere, okay? One call, and a few play rogue. You know Aaron’s stand, right? To go back when this family and your club started business. Aye. A good time. Until you fucked it all up. We were in full power. You gave up control. But slowly, you took it back. Balance the scales, huh?”

“I don’t live in the past, Bryant,” Prez said. “We’ve had a good relationship so far, right?”

“Your intentions with Aaron,” Garvan said.

  “What were they?” Bryant finished.

  “You know what,” Jasper said.

“He tried to kill me three times,” I said. “Three strikes means you’re out.”

“Tree strikes,” Bryant said with a grin. “Right. Right.”

“If you know where he is,” Prez said, “why are you here?”

“So we can negotiate this the proper way,” Garvan said. “Aaron made his choice to leave us. But we can’t just let him be killed. Of course, if we had a proper way to investigate this…”

“What are you saying?” I asked. “Just cut through the shit, Garvan.”

The wicked Irishman looked right at me.

“Aaron going rogue gets me nothing,” he said. “He won’t talk. He won’t help. He won’t give up anything or anyone he’s worked with. Talking to him is a waste of my time. Him dead is a much bigger statement.”

“I’m pretty sure we could handle that,” Cash said, cracking his knuckles.

“Easy now, cock boy,” Bryant said. “We want the other guy.”

  “The other guy,” Jasper said.

“Aye,” Garvan said. “What did you call him? The loan shark?”

“You got it,” I said. “Take him. Find anything you want about him and destroy him.”

“Wait a second,” Prez said. “What’s your angle?”

“We consider it insurance,” Bryant said. “Find out what he knows from Aaron. Find out if Aaron had been talking to anyone else. If he’s got money behind him, we’ll take it. Anyone he works with becomes our clients. I like that, huh? I like it a lot.”

“And we’ll find out if your club has anything to do with this,” Garvan said.

“What?” I asked. “You want to see my fucking leg? You think this is a joke? Fake?”

“We call it insurance,” Bryant said, calm and cool.

I looked at Prez. He widened his eyes as if to tell me to shut my fucking mouth.

  “And payment,” Garvan said.

“How the fuck are you going to take this guy across the ocean?” Cash asked.

  “That’s our problem,” Bryant said.

“Take the guy,” Prez said. “You want insurance, it’s yours.”

“Leave Cora out of it,” I said.

  “Who?” Bryant asked.

“This loan shark, he’s been shaking her down for money for years. He tried to kill her last time. She’s protected by the MC now. Her name is off his list. Debt is paid. Final.”

“The pussy again,” Garvan said. “What do you say, Trev?”

Prez looked at me. He looked at Garvan. “Tell us where Aaron is. You can have this other man, David. Then we move forward.”

I felt like Prez had cut into my back a little.

Handshakes were made, and the Bryant took a cell phone out of his back pocket. He tossed it to Prez.

“That’s where he is. Hiding out in a handmade hut. Just ambush him and get him out of there.”

“And we have an agreement to kill?” Prez asked.

“Aye,” Garvan said. “I want him gone. With proof. Use the phone. Make it fun, too.”

  “Fun?” I asked.

Garvan looked at me with a grin. “He tried to run you over three times. Got you twice. Maybe it’s time he gets run over.”

The window went up on the SUV.

  The deal was made.

I felt let down by my Prez and my club.

But things were just getting started.

When Garvan and Bryant left, they were replaced by a group of motorcycles.

Leading the charge were Villie and Miller.

There wasn’t really a need for a big crew now that we knew where Aaron was. This was charter club business, no need to involve Frelen and Reno.

I looked at Prez, but he just stared straight ahead.

  I knew what was happening.

They were getting ready to place their vote on my future with Back Down Devil MC.

  CORA

I packed my clothes into the suitcase, but it just didn’t feel right. I replayed everything Hudson had said in my mind over and over. He was going to just leave the club and go to Oregon with me? That didn’t make sense. The club hadn’t made its decision yet. And he was healing. He was healed before he got run over again. So that meant it all should have been reset.

  Right?

I closed the suitcase but didn’t zip it up.

I left the bedroom and grabbed my keys.

I needed to find Hudson. Or at least someone from the club to talk to.

When I got to the lot, there seemed to be a lot of motorcycles there. Nobody was outside except
two guys guarding the gate. I turned my car, but they wouldn’t let me in.

I told them who I was, and they looked at each other for a few seconds.

“Hudson’s on a ride,” one said.

“What? He can’t ride,” I said.

  “He’s driving his truck.”

“I need to talk to him. Someone. Anyone. Please.”

The guy nodded to the other. “Who’s left here?”

  “Cade. Austin. Xavier,” he answered.

  “Go get Cade.”

  Cade.

  Okay, fine.

At least it was someone patched into the MC. Someone who knew Hudson and knew me.

A few minutes later, Cade came walking through the lot.

“He’s not here,” Cade told me, still feet away from my car.

“I know,” I said. “I’m not here to ask where he is or why. I don’t care about that.”

  “Good.”

“There’s a lot more motorcycles here.”

“None of your business,” Cade said.

  “You can’t vote him out.”

  “What?”

  “Hudson. He thinks he’s out.”

“Look, I can’t talk about this, Cora.”

“Yes you can. Listen to me, Cade. I’m telling you this as a friend. He thinks he’s out of the club already. He’s already thinking beyond it. He was able to ride. He rode to save me, Cade. You all know that. His leg was fine. Healed. Then he got hit by a car again.”

  “I know about all that.”

“So it should matter,” I said emphatically. “Whatever timeframe you set for injuries, that needs to be reset.”

Cade sighed and lowered his head. “That’s not how it works, Cora. It’s rules-”

  “Fuck the rules!” I yelled.

“That talk will get you a bullet, Cora.”
