One Night Stand Page 15

by J. S. Cooper

“So what do you want, Xander?” I sighed. “I thought we said everything we needed to say last night.”

  “You didn’t say goodbye.”

“What?” I frowned at him. “What are you talking about?”

“You left this morning without saying goodbye.” He stared at me and I wondered what I looked like. I was sure hot and mess would describe me pretty well. I hadn’t bothered to take off my makeup the night before and I could feel that my hair was no longer a wavy cacophony of beauty, but more a frizzy bush.

“Are you fucking joking me? Why do I need to say bye?” I shook my head and tried not to notice how pink his lips looked this morning.

“Why do you have to be so immature, Liv?” He shook his head at me. “I thought we made up last night. I thought you understood where I was coming from. I thought we were friends.”

“What do you want from me, Xander?” I groaned out loud, unable to stop my frustration from coming out. We stared at each other for a few seconds and he shrugged.

“I don’t know.” He sighed. “Nothing I guess.”

“Then leave.” I sat back and looked away from him.

“I don’t want to leave.” He said softly.

“I’m not having sex with you.” I shifted away from him. “If that’s why you’re here.”

“That’s not why I’m here.” He grabbed my hand and pulled me towards him. “I don’t know what to say Liv. I don’t know what you want from me. I don’t even know you. I know nothing about you really. I can’t just change my life for you.”

“You already told me that.” I sighed and pulled my hand away from him.

“I’m the guy that has sexual relationships. I’m the guy that goes after what he wants and gets it. I’m the guy that leaves in the morning.”

“Well good for you.” I jumped up as Alice walked into the living room with the coffee. “We’re done here, Xander.” I looked at him and folded my arms as I chose my words carefully. “It’s like you said, you don’t know me. If you did know me, you would know that I’m not the sort of girl that just has sexual relationships. I’m not the girl that is the fuck buddy. I’m not the girl that lets a guy trample all over her.” I stared at his face and looked into his impenetrable green eyes. “I don’t know what you want. And you don’t know what you want. And that’s just not good enough, Xander. I’m not going to settle to be second best, I don’t care what your issues are.” And then I walked out of the living room and directly to my bedroom. I locked the door behind me, turned on my laptop and played my music as loud as it would go and then walked into my bathroom and turned on the bath and poured some Epsom salts in and waited for the tub to fill up. I was not going to think about Xander. I was not going to let him get to me. I didn’t care what he thought as he left. I didn’t care if he thought I was rude. I didn’t care. I didn’t care. I didn’t care. I kept repeating that to myself as I stripped my clothes off and settled into the bath. I sat back and closed my eyes and let the water calm me down. He was a jerk for playing with my feelings like this. Why couldn’t he just leave me alone?

“Want to watch a movie, Alice?” I exited my room about four hours later, feeling refreshed. I could hear the TV on in the living room and I made my way to the room, determined to keep my mind off of Xander.

“What do you want to watch?” Xander sat there next to Alice with a warm smile on his face.

“You?” I frowned. “What are you still doing here?”

“That’s my cue to get up.” Alice smiled at me. “I’m going to go and have a bath too.”

“What’s going on Alice?” I looked at her, hurt that she would sit and chat with him after everything he had done to me.

“Just talk to Xander.” She rubbed my shoulder as she left the room. “He’s not all bad.”

“Whatever.” I sighed and looked back at him as she left the room. “I thought I told you to leave.”

“I don’t actually believe you said that.” He grinned at me and then pat the seat next to him. “Sit.”

“What do you want Xander?” I could feel my blood pressure rising.

“I know your birthday is in September. I know you’re a Virgo. I know you work for a small nonprofit doing marketing work. I know that you wish you were better in science because you wanted to be a vet. I know you love dogs, hate cats, and that you’re deathly afraid of spiders and snakes. I know that you want to be on Survivor or The Amazing Race. I know that you think Matthew McConaughey is the best looking actor in Hollywood. I know that that you love cupcakes and French fries and that you hate vegetables, but you make yourself eat them because that’s what you’ve always done. I know that you love your family, even though they infuriate you and I know that if you could have any car in the world, it would be a black sports Range Rover.”

“A Range Rover isn’t a car, it’s an SUV.” I said, feeling dazed.

“I know that you’re a romantic and that you believe in true love and fairy tales.”

“Alice told you that?” My jaw dropped. I was going to kill Alice.

“No.” He shook his head. “Alice told me everything up to the car. I figured out the true romantic stuff.”

  “Oh.” I said stiffly.

“Why did you ask her all that stuff?”

“You said that I didn’t know you and you were right.” He gave me a weak smile. “I wanted a chance to get to know you and I didn’t think you were going to answer any of my questions.”

  “I see.”

“Do you really?” He stood up and walked over to me. “Do you really see, Liv?”

“Not really.” I shook my head, my heart racing as he grabbed my hands and pulled me towards him. “What’s the point of asking her all those questions?”

“I don’t know.” He shrugged. “I don’t really understand what’s going on between us.”

  “Neither do I.” I acknowledged.

“I just wish you would quit playing games with my heart.” He grinned and then winked at me as I laughed.

“She told you that was my favorite song as well?”

  “Yes,” He laughed. “She did.”

“I’m going to kill Alice.” I sighed.

“Please don’t.” He leaned forward and kissed me. “Or at least not just yet.”

“Okay then, I won’t kill her yet.” I kissed him back and whimpered as I felt his hands reaching up under my t-shirt and squeezing my bare breasts.

“No bra?” He groaned next to my lips as his fingers pinch my nipples.

  “I’m at home, I don’t need a bra.”

“I need to be at your home more often.” He grunted lifted my t-shirt up quickly before lowering his head and sucking on my right nipple.

“Xander, you can’t do this.” I moan as he sucked eagerly and pinched my other nipple.

“Yes, I can.” He grinned up at me and switched to my other breast.

“What if Alice comes back out.” I groaned as his teeth tugged my nipple gently and I ran my hands through his hair. “Xander,” I moaned his name loudly.

“Let’s go to your bedroom then.”

  “I don’t know.” I said hesitantly.

“Please.” He licked his lips and then kissed me again.

“We haven’t really solved anything though.” I wasn’t sure what to do.

“Do we have to figure it out now?” He kissed the side of my neck and then whispered in my ear. “My tongue wants to show you how badly he’s missed you.”

“You know just what to say to get me to say yes, don’t you?” I giggled and grabbed his hand and pulled him towards my bedroom. “Come on, before I change my mind.”

“We wouldn’t want you to do that, would we?” He chuckled as we entered my room and I made sure to lock the door behind us. I did not need Alice walking in while Xander went down on me. Not at all. “Nice room.” He looked around and grinned. “And no Backstreet Boys posters.”

“Very funny.” I laughed and leaned forward to kiss him ag
ain. “Keep it up and you won’t make it to the bed.”

“Oh really?” He laughed and grabbed me around the waist and picked me up. I started squealing and then he dropped me on the mattress and just looked at me for a few seconds. “I better get to work quickly then.” He winked at me and reached down and pulled my top off. He stared at my breasts for a few seconds and licked his lips. “I like you with no bra.” He said and then reached down and pulled my boy shorts off. “And no panties either, yummy.” He moaned and spread my legs open before dropping to his knees. I groaned as I felt his face between my legs and I knew that he could feel my wetness, as his tongue ran back and forth on my clit as he gently sucked on it. My entire body felt on edge as his tongue continued to play with me and gently entered me.

“Oh Xander.” I whimpered as he fucked me with his tongue. I had almost forgotten how delicious being with him felt.

“Turn over.” He groaned as he rolled me onto my stomach.

“Why?” I cried out, not wanting him to stop doing what he was doing as I was already so close to a climax.

“Shh.” He stood up and I twisted my head and watched as he pulled off his shirt and pants quickly. I took a deep breath as I stared at his naked cock, jutting out in front of him.

“What are you—” I started, but he slapped my bottom lightly.

“Shh.” He said again with a grin and winked at me. “Put your head down, close your eyes and spread your legs.”

“What?” I frowned as my heart raced.

“Don’t ask any questions, just do what I say.” He slapped me again, a little harder this time and I moaned as his finger slipped between my legs and rubbed my clit.

“Oh.” I cried out and spread my legs.

“Good girl.” He groaned as he lowered his head and bit my ass gently.

“What are you doing?” I groaned as I felt his tongue licking down my ass crack.

“No questions.” He slapped me again on the bottom of my ass and rubbed my wet clit again.

“Okay.” I cried out, my entire body on high alert.

“You’re learning.” He said softly and his hands spread my legs again. I felt his breath on my pussy and my body shivered as he licked my clit with his warm and ticklish tongue. I closed my eyes and moaned into the sheets as he licked me. It felt different from this position, but if anything it felt even more intense and exciting. And then I felt his tongue moving up higher and I froze. My eyes popped open as his tongue licked up my butt crack again. What was he doing?

“Relax.” He groaned as he kissed up my back. I could feel his cock grazing my leg and I moaned.

“What are you doing?” I said softly as he squeezed my butt cheeks.

“Showing you how many miracles my tongue can perform.”

“With my ass?” I whispered as I felt his tongue on my butt again, moving closer and closer to my anus.

“You just had a bath right?”

  “Yes.” I whispered. “Why?”

He didn’t answer me with words, instead I felt his tongue licking me in a place I’d never been licked before. At first I was shocked into silence. I couldn’t believe he was licking my asshole and I couldn’t believe how wonderful it felt. I closed my eyes and gripped the sheets, feeling almost embarrassed at the amount of pleasure that was cascading through my body. And then he did this thing where he licked my clit for a few seconds and moved back up to my ass. The feelings were overwhelming. I could barely stop myself from screaming when he pushed the tip of his tongue inside both holes. I felt dirty and I loved it. And then his cock entered my pussy in one hard thrust and I couldn’t stop myself. I came immediately and screamed out his name as he slammed into me, each thrust feeling deeper and deeper.

“Oh Xander.” I screamed as he grunted behind me and filled me up.

“Yes Liv. Scream my name.” He pulled out and flipped me over. “Scream my name, Liv.” He grinned down at me and entered me again quickly. I moaned as I looked up into his eyes and he grabbed my hands and held them tightly as he started to move a little slower.

“Oh shit, Xander. I’m going to come again.” I screamed as the tip of his cock kept hitting my g-spot every time he moved inside of me.

“Come for me, Liv.” He groaned and then I felt his body shuddering as he increased his pace and exploded inside of me. He collapsed next to me on the bed after a few seconds and then kissed me on the cheek.

“Promise me something Liv.” He whispered in my ear.

“What?” I asked him softly as he kissed the side of my face.

“Don’t leave the bed until we both wake up.”

“Okay.” I nodded, my heart soaring as he pulled me into his arms. “I won’t leave the bed until we both wake up.”

“You can leave if you need the bathroom though, I don’t want you to wet the bed.” He said lightly with a laugh and I slapped his arm as I laughed with him and closed my eyes. I wasn’t sure how he’d done it, but I was feeling a million times better about our situation now. I had faith that we’d figure out a way to make this work. He liked me, he really liked me and his staying and asking Alice all those questions had to mean that he wanted to see where we could go in our relationship. He was ready to give us a chance now. He had to be.

  Chapter Eleven

“Morning.” Xander’s voice was warm as I opened my eyes.

“Morning.” I blinked and looked at the clock on the wall. “Wow, we slept the whole evening away?”

  “I guess you were tired.”

  “You didn’t sleep?”

  “Not until night.”

“Oh no, what did you do?”

“Watched you.” He said and then laughed. “I didn’t expect that to sound so creepy.”

“It does sound a bit creepy, doesn’t it?” I giggled and my heart soared as he stared at me and leaned down to give me a kiss.

“I’m not a creep.” He kissed me harder and ran his hands through my hair. “I promise.”

“Hmm, I’ll take your word for it.” I laughed. “You did kiss my ass yesterday.” I flushed at the memory.

“I think I did more than kiss it.” He winked at me as he ran his fingers down my stomach and between my legs and rubbed gently.

“Xander.” I groaned and pushed his hand away. “Not now.”

“Okay.” He laughed and played with my breasts instead. “Did you sleep well?”

  “Yes, I did? You?”

“Great.” He nodded. “I figured out the secret.”

  “What secret?”

“The secret to making sure you’re not gone in the morning.”

  “What’s the secret?”

“Have sex with you in your apartment.” He grinned and I laughed.

“You’re an idiot.” I ran my fingers down his chest lightly and played with his nipples.

  “A sexy idiot.”

“I guess.” I leaned forward and kissed his chest lightly and he rubbed my back. “So what do we do now?” I asked softly and he froze. I looked up at him with a slight frown and studied his face. “Everything okay?”

  “Yes of course.” He nodded.

“So what do we do now then?” I asked again.

“I’ll do whatever you want me to do, Liv.” He kissed the top of my forehead and leaned back.

“Whatever I want you to do?” My heart thudded, those weren’t the words I wanted to hear.

“Yes, if you don’t want me to go through with the engagement, I’ll end it.” He nodded.

“What do you want to do?” I cocked my head and studied his face. Didn’t he want to end the engagement? I could feel my body growing warm. I should have been happy that he was willing to do what I wanted, but I wasn’t. I didn’t want him to do what I wanted him to do. I wanted him to do what he wanted to do. I wanted him to be the one to decide to call off the engagement. I wanted him to be the one that made the decision because there was no other option in his mind.

“I don’t care.” He shrugged, his face indifferent. “Whatever will make
you happy.”

“Why do you like me, Xander?” I asked him softly. “I mean asides from me leaving you in the hotel room. Why do you like me?”

“I was intrigued by you the moment I saw you at the church.” He stroked my hair. “And I thought you were beautiful and sexy as hell. And sassy too. And then you called me Mr. Tongue and I thought that any girl that has the confidence to hook up at a wedding and then give me a nickname had to be a girl I wanted to get to know better.”

“I see.” I said and sighed. I didn’t know what I was hoping he would say.

“And I’m still intrigued by you. I’m more intrigued by you now, than I was before.” He kissed me. “So tell me, Liv. What do you want me to do?”

“You said that you met up with Luke and Gabby and Henry that day?” I said and decided to ask him the questions that had been puzzling me. “How do you know Luke?”

“His grandfather and mine grew up together.” He said right away. “I’ve known him since we were young.”

“How come we never heard about you or met you when he dated Alice?”

  “I don’t know.” He shrugged.

“How does Luke know Gabby?” I said softly. “And why do either of you care what happens to her and the baby.”

  “It’s complicated,” Xander made a face. “I don’t think it’s important.”

“I just want to be able to understand.” I sighed.

“Look, I have to go and meet Henry now.” He sat up and pulled me up as well. He kissed me hard over and over again and then pulled back. “Henry and I need to meet up with Luke to discuss something this morning.”

“Oh okay.” I frowned and he kissed my cheek.

“Don’t be mad at me, okay.” He gazed into my eyes. “This whole thing will work out. You just tell me what you want.”

“I want you to do what you want to do.” I said softly. “I want you to make the decision.”

“Okay.” He nodded and got out of the bed. “I have to go now. Can I see you later tonight?”

“Yeah, call me.” I said trying not to have an attitude.

“I’ll see you later, Liv.” He jumped out of bed and I watched as he pulled his clothes on and left the room. I lay back with a sigh and closed my eyes. Maybe one day we’d be able to get it right.
