Raw Deception Page 8

His cell phone chimed and he grabbed it.

Shane: Had an amazing day hiking with you. I have your guitar. Can I bring it over?

Gregory: Today was awesome! Sure, I clean forgot about it.

  His cock throbbed.

Shane: Be there in a few.

Gregory heard the door close opposite the narrow pathway and quickly slipped on a pair of shorts and when he looked up, Shane stood in the doorway. He held the guitar against his chest. “Hi, sexy man.”

  “That was quick.”

He placing the guitar on the chair at the door.

Gregory reached out for his hand and pulled him closer. “You’re the sexy one.”

  “You more.”

Gregory was just about to kiss him when he remembered Shane had a fiancé. He released his hand. “You want a whiskey?”

  “Sounds awesome.”

  “Jack Daniels.”

  “Even better.”

Gregory opened the bottle and poured two glasses, neat.

“Before Stephen knocked me for a sixer last night, what happened to you?” Gregory asked, handing him the glass. “Cheers.”

  “I don’t follow?”

“You were having such a good time until Joe called.”

  Shane sighed heavily. “Joe again.”

“You don’t have to talk about him. I’m just curious. I thought it was me, that I had said something wrong.”

“It’s not you at all. I loved every moment spent with you.”

  “Something’s wrong, Shane.”

It started with a quivering lip. His eyes blinked faster and faster to keep the wetness from escaping. Shane gradually let go of his defences, and tapped into a place deep inside.

“Please, I want to help,” Gregory said, holding Shane’s face.

A flood ran down his cheeks and fell onto Gregory’s fingers.

“What’s got you into this state?”

  Shane shook his head.

“It’s okay, you can tell me when you’re ready.”

“I’m not happy, Greg. Joe doesn’t do it for me but I don’t know how to get out of this engagement. Last night I told him that we could never be a true couple if he’s jetting all over the country. He said if I broke the engagement he’d sue me for breach of promise.”

  “You’re kidding.”

“I’m serious. He doesn’t take rejection lightly. He said he’s returning home on Tuesday and I better be there. He wants to talk face to face about this.”

“What have you got that he doesn’t have? Money?”

“That’s just it. I have nothing. I’m just a cop. Nothing special or rich about me.”

“When were you planning to leave here?”

“Thursday. I wanted to spend a few days rejuvenating my mind and spending time with my friends.”

“Are you going to go back on Tuesday to have it out with Joe?”

“I must. You have no idea how aggressive he becomes if I refuse to do what he says.”

  “Has he beaten you before?”

Shane didn’t say anything. His silence was enough.

“If I were you I would ignore him. But, I have just one question for you. Do you love him enough to marry him? To spend the rest of your life with him?”

  “I don’t know. I don’t know.”

“If there’s doubt then you should call off the engagement.”

“I don’t want to be the first to break it. I want him to leave me, not the other way around.”

“Sometimes you have to make the first move. You are so miserable in this relationship. He sucks your energy and you allow it.”

“I don’t know what to do.”

“Do what your heart tells you. Do you think he’s serious about suing you?”

  “Yes. He’s quite capable.”

“I think you’re asking for a lifetime of trouble being with him. Don’t return on Tuesday. He’ll get the message. I’ll be there to support you in any way I can.”

“Thank you. Like I said, I’ll have to think about it carefully.”

  “Want another JayDee?”

  “Are you having?”

“Yup. After what you’ve told me, I need another. Also thanks for bringing my guitar.”

“The last time I was here I took the canoe out onto the river, I thought we might do it together. You feel like canoeing?”

  “Now?”

“Yes. It’s a beautiful full moon. I want to show you something.”

  “Let’s do this.”

  “Bring JayDee with you.”

Gregory grabbed the bottle of Jack Daniels and Shane took Gregory’s hand and led him to the canoe resting on the water’s edge beside the pier not far from the main house.

  “Climb in.”

  “Where are we going?”

  “You’ll see.”

Shane took the oars opposite Gregory and rowed a little way until they approached a bend in the river.

“Close your eyes. Don’t look until I say,” Edward said, paddling the water.

Gregory covered his eyes with two hands and waited. He felt the boat turn and gradually stop. Heard Edward step over the middle seat and sit beside him.

  “You can look now.”

  Gregory opened his eyes.

The moon above Cathkin Peak, full and glowing the brightest he had ever seen, sent a sliver of white light tapering across the sparkling water.

  “That is beautiful.”

The nervous energy between them the entire evening needed to explode. Gregory wondered who would make the first move. Younger, or older? Shane was the same age as Edward. Would Edward and Raw see this move as being inappropriate like Stephen had found with his sister? He didn’t know, and right now, he didn’t care.

Gregory stared Shane for a long time before Shane realised he was looking. Gregory swallowed hard, but it was Shane who came in for the kiss. A gentle, caring kiss. One that spread sprinkles of stardust throughout Gregory’s body.

“Do you think the moon cares?” Shane asked, whispering.

“I think the moon cares,” Gregory replied, whispering too.

“There’s no one here. Just you and me and the moon.”

“I think I prefer it that way.”

Shane kissed his neck. “I couldn’t take my eyes off you from the moment we met.”

Gregory felt Shane’s hand cover his groin and he shut his eyes hard. “Shane, I…I don’t think we should be doing this. You’re engaged.”

Shane continued playing down there. His fingers groped and squeezed gently, then he brought his hand up into the light. He had removed the ring.

“Not anymore. I know what I want.”

“That’s the problem. You don’t know what you want. You want Joe, then you have doubts. Now you want me. You’re confusing yourself, and me. Don’t get me wrong, I want you too, but not while you belong to someone else. If we have sex tonight, it’s done. It’s over.”

Shane leaned back. “What do you mean?”

“I’m tired of one-night stands. That’s all it’s ever been for me. I want to get to know you.”

Shane answered without hesitation. “I don’t know how this will all end, Greg. I know how it began, and I know what I feel. Maybe I’m fascinated by everything you are. You completely get me. You pluck all the right strings. No one has ever done that. People think they know me, and when they see the real me, like you did last night, they pull away instead of facing me. I was rude to you because I’m attracted to you and maybe you should have let me go.”

“I wanted you to stay. Fucking hell. I needed you to st…”

Shane plugged his mouth with a sudden kiss that went deep and, as they got lost in the moment, their tongues knotted and their lips danced together. They crushed against each other with grinding hard-ons.

“Jesus, Shane. What are you doing to me?”

“We’d better take it easy or we’ll both land up in the water,” Shane laughed. “Just hold me.”

  Gregory wrapped his arms
around him in a tight embrace and for a few moments allowed his hands to run free over Shane’s body.

“I don’t want to come between you and Joe. I’m like that. I don’t destroy relationships. I told Dirk the same thing.”

“I’m not Dirk. And I know you’re being honourable. I’m just a big idiot.”

“No. You’re the finest guy I’ve ever met. But you have to deal with Joe first.”

“I think I need a swig of that JayDee,” Shane said, reaching for the bottle of Jack Daniels behind Gregory.

  “I’ll join you.”

They both took two mouthfuls of neat whiskey and Shane pointed at the moon.

  “It’s fucking awesome.”

Gregory placed an arm around his shoulder. “I’m learning so much from this trip. It’s moments like these I don’t want to end because I know there’s something shifting in the air. Something I like.”

“You feel it too. Must be the full moon. If Joe doesn’t agree to the breakup, what do I do?”

“The way I see it he has no choice if it comes from you.”

“He can make my life miserable.”

“You’re a cop, you can handle it.”

  “I should be able to.”

“Another swig of whiskey?” Gregory asked, downing another mouthful.

“I’m getting drunk as it is, but what the hell.” Shane took another gulp and closed the bottle. “Do you really mean it when you said it will be the end of us if we make love tonight?”

“I meant it. I want you without Joe tagging on.”

“Or maybe you don’t want me at all.”

Gregory winced. “That’s not true. I crave you.”

“I want to make love to you, Greg. Not lust. I want to feel you, the real you. Is that too much to ask?”

“You’re making this so difficult for me. Fuck!” Gregory pulled Shane towards him and their lips touched lightly.

  “Your jaw.”

  “Fuck that.”

Their lips and mouths came together like the stars in the southern sky, their tongues rolled in the deep and left them breathless.

“Are you sure you want this?”

  Shane nodded.

Shane stroked Gregory’s face with his fingers in the full moonlight and traced his lips and jawline much like a blind person. Unbuttoning his shirt, he disrobed Gregory and let the shirt drop into the canoe. Gregory’s heart skipped a beat. This forty-eight-year-old man’s pecs and abs were textbook perfect. Well rounded and hairy down to his navel and beyond.

“Jesus, you are beautiful,” Shane whispered, running his hands over Gregory’s chest.

  The canoe wobbled.

  “Whoa!” Gregory said, laughing.

“Just rocking the boat,” Shane said, smiling. “I mean it. You’re perfect, Colonel.”

Gregory leaned in with his tongue ready to penetrate Shane’s mouth and send him into heaven. It was a kiss that dangled like a million bells in Shane’s mouth. Gregory removed Shane’s t-shirt and came in for a deeper tongue-rolling kiss as their hands fumbled to unzip their trousers. Shane had his hand inside Gregory’s trousers quicker than you could say give it all to me. He covered Gregory’s cock with the palm of his hand and moaned inside the everlasting kiss. Gregory unzipped Shane’s fly and groped Shane’s cock through the underwear. Shane’s cock was girth-thick and throbbed so hard Gregory imagined he heard it calling for his mouth.

Shane gently kissed Gregory’s body all the way down to his throbbing cock and stared at it for a second before rolling the tip of his tongue gently from the base to the tip, licking it like vanilla ice-cream. The sexual tension built up as Gregory begged him to take it into his mouth.

“Yes, love that. Take me. Please, take me.” Gregory moaned.

Shane brought his mouth onto the tip of Gregory’s cock and slowly covered it until it hit the back of his throat. Gregory thrust his pelvis forward and his cock went deeper; Shane gagged and released his cock and spat onto it, then came down gently in a lip and tongue rolling motion that made Gregory’s toes curl.

But he dare not rock the canoe. Just one sudden jerk could send them both into the river.

Gregory reached for Shane’s head and tried to pull him up but Shane continued rocking his cock with his mouth.

“Shane, no! Stop. I’m going to cum. Stop. Don’t stop. Oh my fuck!”

Arching his back, he shot wildly into Shane’s welcoming mouth and stumbled backwards. The canoe danced and wobbled from side to side and then

  SPLASH!

They were both in the water, flailing about and screaming out with laughter.

Back at Gregory’s bungalow, Shane stood at the open door with a fresh, dancing breeze coming in from behind him. They had showered and towelled themselves dry and Shane noticed how, compared to a couple of hours ago, the man of his dreams looked so different now, relaxed and easy. Gregory lay naked on the double bed, every muscle, every curve, every nook of his body bathed in a translucent, wan light. It took all of Shane’s willpower to stop from leaping onto the bed and taking him there and then.

“Are you going to stand there and stare or join me?” Gregory issued a warm, welcoming smile.

“You are so beautiful, Greg. I want to take in all of you.”

“No rush. But I can’t wait too long.”

Shane had never experienced a man like this. His words, his outlook on life, his very existence made him thank whomever it was up there that he had this man in his life.

Gregory slowly crept out of the bed and stepped towards him with one single goal. He gently lifted Shane into his arms, and carried him to the bed.

“I’ve wanted you from the moment I saw you. Had to hold my breathe. There was a time I thought it was just a dream. This weekend would never have been the same without you.”

“Fuck! You say the sweetest things.”

  “I mean every word.”

“You’ll never be enough for me, you know that don’t you.”

  “I’m hoping.”

The kiss felt like a thousand rainbows merging in a clear sky. Skin collided. Tongues twisted and lips explored. They kissed each other’s eyes, traced long finger-lines down their necks and held onto each other so crushingly tight.

  Two lives had changed.

It was clear that their hearts belonged. It was time for Gregory to start a new learning process before the colours of love faded.

“I want to make you cry every time you think of me. Happy tears,” Shane whispered.

Gregory didn’t take his eyes off Shane as his tongue swept across each hardened nipple. The perfect dream. Not make believe. This was all too real. Two hearts bonding, realising that life needed to be shared.

Shane moaned and threw his head back, allowing Gregory to explore the wilderness of his hard body. Gregory’s teeth bit into his nipples. “Harder,” Shane insisted. “Bite. Give me pleasure pain. Harder.”

Gregory bit hard and Shane released a loud exclamation of pleasure. His hands gripped Gregory’s shoulders and he pulled him into his body.

  “You like this?”

“Don’t be shy, Colonel. Bite. I want pain.”

Gregory bit harder still and with each bite his cock swelled until he thought it would explode.

Shane lifted Gregory and bit into his neck.

“Yes. I love that. Jesus, detective. Jesus.”

“I want this moment to last forever, Colonel.”

Shane gently brought his lips to meet Gregory’s in a slow, wet kiss that melted Gregory’s heart. “I can’t get enough of your lips. Gives me a head rush. Can I be cavalier?”

“You can be anything you want,” Gregory said, “But first, I think I owe you.”

Gregory knelt before him and swiped the palm of his hand over Shane’s cock, gently taking it into his hand. “So beautiful,” he whispered, gazing into Shane’s eyes.

Gregory went onto his knees and he stared at Shane’s manhood for a long time. Just staring. Eventually he let his tongue tickle the
long shaft and collected the precum onto the tip of his tongue. Shane closed his eyes. Every pulse in his body quickened as Shane directed his cock into Gregory’s mouth and ran his tongue across the bulbous helmet. Shane pushed into Gregory’s throat and suddenly Shane pulled out.

“Oh Christ! Sorry. Sorry! I’m going to come! Can’t hold it. Sorry. Sorry! “ He exploded across Gregory’s face.

Gregory didn’t try to stop him. He opened his mouth as Shane came, allowing a jet of white to fall into his mouth.

He stood up and kissed Shane wildly, transferring the cum into Shanes mouth.

Shane moaned continuously for several moments then relaxed his body, Gregory’s hand on his cock, feeling the blood as it escaped from Shane’s shaft, leaving it soft and calm. He grinded his cock against Shane’s stomach and danced across his skin. His breathing increased and blood rushed to his head as jets of cum spilled all over Shane’s abs and treadled down in long transparent lines.

“You’re amazing,” Gregory whispered, kissing his neck.

  “I’m so sorry.”

“No. This was amazing. Just fucking amazing.”

Spent, they collapsed onto the bed and continued kissing until their lips burnt raw and their chins had turned red from the friction. Shane’s breathing deepened and he let out several whimpers. Gregory felt the warm liquid spurting out onto his chest.

“I think I’ve just had an immaculate ejaculation.” Shane laughed.

“Twice. Twice in an hour?” Gregory exclaimed

  “You do that to me”

  9

  Monday

“So, are you going back tomorrow?” Gregory asked, taking a seat beside Shane on the pier.

“I’ve decided to go back on Thursday. And then I’m going to have a long heart to heart with Joe.”

In his mind, Gregory danced. He had gotten through to Shane, and it pleased him to no end. His skin tingled and he couldn’t hide the excitement. He did an elbow punch with absolute glee on his face. “Yes!”

“I’m going to be in such kak*, but I don’t care,” Shane whistled.
