The Petros Chronicles Boxset Page 98

by Diana Tyler

Chloe shook her head as images of Deimos and Phobos, and the haunting River Lethe flashed inside it.

“But there is hope,” he said. “Even when we’ve convinced ourselves there’s no turning back, that metanoia is no more attainable than the moon.”

Hermes rose and, taking Chloe’s hand, went outside to the balcony. “Hope is our beacon, and all we have to do is fix our eyes on even the faintest speck of its light. It’s what draws us from the darkness, stoking the fire Duna placed inside our souls. And in that way, I suppose you could say that every one of us is a Vessel.”

He bent down and kissed her lightly on the forehead. “Goodbye, my dear Chloe. May you cherish the days you are given and live your life to the full.”

  AFTERWORD

I hope you enjoyed The Petros Chronicles. If you don’t mind, I would appreciate it if you could head over to Amazon, Goodreads, or your website of choice and leave a brief review of your favorite installment.

Also, I invite you to join my Greek-mythology-related mailing list at www.dianatylerbooks.com or www.dianaandersontyler.com. Each month I do fun things like send exclusive short stories, and run giveaways—all related to books and/or Greek mythology, of course.

  ACKNOWLEDGMENTS

Every morning, I wake up and realize how extremely blessed I am, not just because I get to do what I love every day, but because I have the support and assistance of amazing people who have enriched both my writing and my life. The Petros Chronicles series has been a tremendous journey, one I surely wouldn’t have completed without the motivation, encouragement, tips and advice offered by the following people:

My husband Ben: my #1 fan who puts up with my writerly quirks, moods, compulsions, and extemporaneous brainstorming sessions.

My mom Barbara: who has always nurtured my dream of becoming a published author and patiently listens to me vent and cry on the bad days.

My editor, Penny, at Book Cover Cafe: words fail to adequately convey just how grateful I am for an editor who not only polishes and corrects, but also affirms and educates. Thank you for shaping me into a better writer, page by page.

The team at Book Cover Cafe: who always do a fabulous job of typesetting, design, and e-book conversion.

  ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Diana has been writing all her life, starting with her own versions of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle comics when she was four. She’s always been fascinated by Greek mythology and comic-book superheroes, all of which inspire her fantasy novels. She’s also a gym rat who loves to pretend she’s Wonder Woman while lifting heavy weights, and swinging from rings and pull-up bars. She co-owns CrossFit 925 in San Antonio, Texas with her husband, Ben.

Diana currently writes entertainment and media-related articles for movieguide.org, and runs a popular blog for writers at www.dianaandersontyler.com. When she isn’t writing or working out, she can be found playing Scrabble with her husband, watching Marvel and Pixar movies, pinning recipes on Pinterest that she never gets around to cooking, and reading, of course.
