Sold To The Athim Prince Page 15

“Please don’t worry about that,” Modric said, rubbing my back as we drank our coffees. “He will love you as much as I do.”

We parted ways after breakfast and I went to my closet to get ready for the day. Modric told me that my closet in the palace would be even bigger.

“Plus, there are many, many stores for you to shop in on Athim,” he said. Shopping. I hadn’t done it in so long that I almost forgot how much I liked it. Even when I was in the White House, I didn’t have the luxury of going to the mall much.

I missed Natira, especially when it came to getting ready. She had the magic touch when it came to hair and makeup. Modric also told me that he could bring in a makeup and hair team when we landed on Athim. I had to admit, I didn’t hate this idea. If anything, I could learn to be as good as Natira was, and then I could do things on my own.

“You look great.” Modric entered the bathroom. I looked at him and back at myself in the mirror.

“Are you sure?” I asked. I wore the navy-blue dress that we married in. While it may not be royal, it made me feel more comfortable.

“I’m positive,” he said, twirling me around. I felt and looked good. He took me in his arms and kissed me.

“We’ve landed on Athim,” he told me. “But it’s going to take a few minutes before we can get off.”

“Speaking of getting off, do we have time to hook up before we leave the ship?” I asked. Although we had sex before breakfast, I wanted more. Natira had told me Athims were sex-crazed. I had to play the part.

Modric surprised me by picking me up and placing me on the bathroom corner. He quickly pulled his pants down, revealing his already rock-hard cock.

“A quickie?” he asked. I nodded. He didn’t even bother taking my underwear off, he just pushed them aside and shoved one of his fingers inside. I grabbed his shoulders and pulled him closer to me.

“Are you ready?” he asked, taking his finger out. I nodded. He quickly pushed his cock against my entrance, sliding it inside.

“Oh, that feels so good,” I whispered in his ear, as he pumped in and out of me.

He picked me off the counter and held me up by my ass. I was literally bouncing up and down on his cock when I heard a noise.

“Ahem.” An older Athim stood in the doorway. He looked just like Modric, except many years older. My father-in-law.

  Shit.

“Oh my god,” I said, jumping off Modric. I was thankful that I was still fully clothed. Modric managed to pull his pants up without zipping his cock up in his zipper.

  “Father,” he said.

I was right. This wasn’t the best way to introduce myself to Juri. I waited for him to yell at us, but instead, he started to chuckle loudly.

“Good to see you son,” he said, embracing Modric in a hug. He turned to me next.

“Sorry for interrupting you guys,” he said, “But in all fairness, the door was wide open.”

He embraced me next. I was still embarrassed, but felt relieved.

  “Hi Juri,” I said. “I’m…”

“Freya,” he finished for me. “I’ve heard so much about you. I’ve also received many updates from the ship, and I hear that you’ve made my son very happy. Welcome to the family.”

  “Thank you,” I said.

“Everyone is ready to meet you,” Juri said. “Why don’t you two freshen up and come down? There is someone in particular I want you to meet, Freya.”

“I can’t wait,” I said, as Juri left the room. As soon as the bedroom door closed, Modric and I erupted in laughter.

“Holy shit,” I laughed, crying through tears.

“I’m so sorry,” Modric said. “I accidentally left the door open when I came in to check on you. You looked so good that I forgot to close it. I’m glad it had a happy ending, though.”

  “Or not,” I laughed.

We quickly freshened up and headed down to Athim. I was excited to see what Athim had looked like. I had seen pictures, but nothing prepared me for what it looked like.

We opened the door to complete paradise. A warm breeze wrapped around me as we stepped out of the ship and on to the platform of the stairs.

There were palm trees everywhere. We had landed on what looked like a pristine beach. The beach was white and pure. Turquoise waves with white tops lapped against the shore.

“This is beautiful,” I whispered to Modric. We walked down the stairs. I had expected a large gathering, but there wasn’t. Juri stood at the bottom of the stairs with a brunette human woman next to him.

“Who is that?” I asked Modric. We were still too high up to see them properly. Modric smiled at me, but didn’t respond. We were about halfway down the stairs when she came into view.

“Tiffany!” I ran down the stairs, two at a time and practically tackled my best friend.

“I’ve been waiting for you!” Tiffany squealed. We jumped up and down.

“You look so great!” Tiffany said. “The glow on your face… you aren’t a virgin anymore, are you?”

  Modric walked up to us.

“Surprise,” he said. “I know that you’ve been missing Natira and the girls, so we arranged Tiffany to visit for a few weeks.

“I love you!” I wrapped my arms around him next. I was so happy to have both my best friend and my husband next to me.

“I have some things to attend to, but we’ve set up a little area for you and Tiffany to relax before we head to the palace,” Modric explained, pointing to a beach cabana.

“Girl time!” Tiffany and I said in unison.

Juri and Modric went back up into the ship, leaving us humans behind. We trekked through the white sand to the beach cabana. An Athim soldier handed us frozen margaritas as we took our seats on the large chaises.

“This planet’s so amazing,” Tiffany told me. “I wasn’t sure about coming here, but now I don’t want to leave!”

  I laughed.

“Well, I’m sure you don’t have to!” I said.

“Does Modric have a brother?” she asked, putting on sunglasses. I laughed into my drink.

“That’s a negative, but I’m sure he has a cousin or a friend we can hook you up with!”

We spent the last hour catching up on everything. Even though I had only been gone for a couple of months, it seemed like we had years’ worth of stuff to catch up on.

“Have you seen Anya or Joaquin?” I asked. She shook her head.

“I have not seen them, but I have talked to them,” she said. “Your sister is doing well. She hasn’t gone back to the White House since you left. She has been too busy with work to go back. It isn’t like your father cares.”

“What about Joaquin?” I asked. She frowned.

“He left the White House shortly after you were traded,” she said. “He left on his own, which is a good thing. He’s working as a bodyguard for Justin Bieber now, actually. He said it’s much less stressful.”

I laughed. He’d actually teased me for liking Justin Bieber, and now he was his bodyguard. How times had changed.

“And my father?” Part of me didn’t want to know, but the other half wanted to.

“He’s your father,” Tiffany said. “Nothing has changed. They put out some news story about you being very happy as an Athim Princess, so most of the country has forgiven him. Do you think you’ll ever go back?”

I looked out at the never-ending ocean in front of us.

“I’m not sure,” I confessed. “There’s really nothing there for me anymore, especially if you can visit. I’m sure that Modric can arrange for Anya to visit, too. Maybe she can be a model here.”

We laughed. The tequila in the margaritas were already making me a little buzzed.

“So, how are you and Modric?” Tiffany asked.

“Juri just walked in on us having sex, so there’s that,” I said casually.

“Freya!” Tiffany raised her hand to her mouth. I shrugged.

“We’re really good, though,” I said. “I never thought I’d fall
in love with him, but I have. I’m actually really excited to start a family with him.”

“Start a family?” she questioned. I nodded.

“Yes,” I said. “I want to. We’ve been trying.”

“Wow,” Tiffany said, drinking her margarita. “Cheers to that, girl. Cheers to that.” We clinked our margarita glasses against each other. It felt so good to have my best friend next to me again.

We lay in the sun, soaking up the warm rays for another hour until Modric came to get us.

“Are you girls ready to head to the palace?” he asked. I was more than ready.

“Have you seen it yet?” I asked Tiffany. She nodded.

“It’s amazing!” she admitted. “I’ve spent the last two nights there. You’re going to die.”

  Modric looked at her, confused.

“It’s an American saying,” I explained. “I’m not going to literally die.”

  He shook his head.

  “Americans,” he laughed.

The trip from the beach to the palace was a good thirty minutes. However, the scenery stayed pretty much the same. Lots of palm trees, clear, blue skies, and endless beaches.

“Is the palace on the water?” I asked, as we traveled in a vehicle similar to a hovercraft. Modric nodded.

“It is. Our bedroom has a huge balcony that overlooks the Athim Ocean,” he said. I gaped at him. I’d always wanted to live oceanfront, but never had.

When we arrived at the palace, my jaw nearly dropped out of my mouth. I had expected it to be similar to the Hallon palace, but the size completely blew my mind away. It was nearly double the size of the Hallon palace. It was light pink and at least twenty stories tall.

  “This is it?” I asked.

“Yes,” Modric said, squeezing my hand. As we got closer to the doors, I saw the people I’d expected when we originally landed. There was a crowd of Athim aliens, touting the Athim flags.

Modric stepped out of the hovercraft first and grabbed my hand. As soon as I emerged, the crowd went wild.

“Princess Freya!” they yelled at me. Since I had practice on Hallon, I felt comfortable waving to them as their princess.

“Welcome!” They cheered as we walked past them into the palace. Juri, Tiffany, Modric, and I entered the palace, and Modric shut the door.

“That was quite a welcoming,” Tiffany said.

“They really like you, huh?” Juri said. Modric put his arm around my waist and pulled me closer.

“Of course they do,” he said, kissing the top of my forehead. “She’s the perfect Athim princess.”

“Speaking of Athim princesses,” Juri said. “I miss Natira. I still can’t believe that she married a Hallon.”

  Modric shrugged his shoulders.

“Neither could I,” he said. “But there was no stopping her.”

  Juri nodded.

“I wouldn’t have expected you to stop her,” he said. “I know her only too well.”

Juri led us to the sitting room. It was beautiful. White walls, white carpet, white furniture. There were white flowers in white vases. Not to mention, there was a large bay window that overlooked the Athim Ocean. It was absolutely gorgeous.

  “This is amazing,” I said.

“This was Modric’s mother’s favorite room in the palace,” Juri said. “I don’t use it much, but please feel free to make this your own, Freya.”

I felt honored. I knew how much he loved his wife. Allowing me to take over her favorite place at the palace was so special to me.

“Thank you,” I said. Modric beamed. He was pleased that I had taken such an immediate liking to the palace, but how could I not? It was more than I had ever dreamed of.

“Let me take you girls on the rest of the tour,” Modric said. We left Juri behind, promising to be back before dinner.

“You lived in the White House,” Modric said. “This surely can’t be that exciting?”

  Tiffany and I giggled.

“This is very exciting,” she said. “We have never seen anything like this before.”

She was speaking the truth. We had never experienced anything this beautiful, this lavish.

Modric took us from room to room, pointing out Juri’s bedroom, Modric’s office, the command room, and so on. The rooms were endless. There were bedrooms for all the help from the soldiers to the maids.

“This almost feels like a castle,” I told Tiffany. She nodded.

“So, Modric, do you have a cousin you can hook me up with or what?” Tiffany asked. We all laughed, but also knew that she was halfway serious.

  Chapter 22

Dinner that night was similar to the one we had on Hallon. There was a large, long table filled with different types of food. Athim food and human food lined the table. Fresh fruit, fresh vegetables, bread, and wine.

I met Modric’s extended family – Some aunts, uncles, and cousins. Unfortunately, Tiffany didn’t hit off with any of Modric’s cousins.

“Pipe dream, I guess,” Tiffany said as she sipped her wine. “I’m not mad, though. I’m in this paradise for free. Plus, there are still a lot of Athim men to discover.”

“Cheers to that,” I said as we clinked glasses.

“I love seeing you in this environment,” Modric said to me. I turned to him and smiled.

“I love seeing you in this environment,” I said back to him. It was true; I did. He was much more relaxed when he was on Athim.

“I’ve missed home,” he confessed. “I thought I wanted to venture out in outer space, but now that I’m back here with you, I kind of want to stay.”

“Kind of?” I asked curiously. He shrugged.

“I haven’t quite made my mind up yet,” he said.

“Well, you better let me know when you do,” I said.

Juri began to clink his knife against his wine glass. He was, of course, sitting at the head of the table. The rest of the group immediately went quiet.

“Thank you,” Juri spoke. “First, I would like to thank everyone for attending this special dinner. I know they were delayed by a few days, but I’m so happy that my son and his wife, Princess Freya of Athim, have arrived back to their home.”

Those gathered around the table clapped.

“Freya is a breath of fresh air to our family,” Juri said. “With Natira on Hallon, we need a strong, young female in our family. Of course, I’m not saying that Freya is taking Natira’s place in our family, I’m saying that she’s a good addition. Also, I may have had too much wine to drink.”

The gathered relatives erupted in laughter. I loved how open and honest Juri was. I felt like I was going to fit right in with this family.

“Let me take over please, Dad,” Modric said, rising from the table. Juri nodded and sat back down.

“I would also like to thank everyone for being here,” Modric said. “Thank you also for being so warm and welcoming to Freya. She may never admit to this, but she was a bit nervous about coming to Athim.”

  I felt myself blush.

“But, like I predicted, she fit right in,” he continued. “Believe it or not, this woman has completely changed my life. I never have felt such love from or for another being. I had spent so much time in the universe looking for my purpose. I thought it was conquering another planet or fighting off another race. In reality, my purpose in life was being Freya’s husband.”

“That’s so cute,” Tiffany whispered to me.

“Basically, I just wanted to gloat about how happy I was,” Modric said with a grin. He raised his chalice in the air. “To my beautiful wife, Freya!”

  The others raised their glasses.

“To Freya!” They all said in unison. Modric sat down next to me and kissed me on my cheek.

“Can I speak?” I asked. Modric looked at me in surprise.

  “Absolutely,” he said.

“Ladies and gentlemen,” he said loudly. “Freya would like to speak.”

I stood up from the table, suddenly a little nervous with the eyes on me, b
ut there was something I wanted to say. I wanted to declare my love for Modric as well.

“Thank you,” I said. “I feel so much love from everyone in this group. Thank you so much for being so warming to both me and my best friend, Tiffany. I’m not going to sugarcoat it. The past couple of months on the spaceship have been rough. Our ship was attacked by the Hallon aliens, then we ended up on Arilia with Modric’s psycho ex-girlfriend. After surviving all of that, we arrived to Hallon, only to find ourselves in the middle of their internal turmoil. But throughout all of that, Modric and I grew as a couple. We learned each other’s languages. We talked about our pasts and our dreams. In the past couple of weeks, I found myself as a person.”

I stopped to take a drink of my wine. While all of this felt extremely freeing, I also needed another sip of liquid courage.

“I just wanted to say that I’m honestly happy,” I spoke again. “I never thought that I would be after my own father betrayed me, but it honestly turned out to be the best thing that ever happened to me.”

I sat down to claps and smiles. Modric leaned over to me.

  “I love you,” he said.

“I love you, too,” I replied.

Later that night, we found ourselves on the main balcony after dinner. Juri had excused himself, leaving Modric, Tiffany and myself.

“What a long, strange trip this has been,” I said. I may or may not have been a little drunk from the wine that freely flowed at dinner. I lay on a chaise next to Modric. His hand touched my leg.

“Seriously, though,” Tiffany said. “You two are so cute, I can’t take it. I need to find someone like you, Modric!”

As if on cue, a tall Athim appeared at the balcony door. He walked on the balcony and Modric rose from his chaise.

“Dereki,” Modric extended his hand to the soldier. Dereki was tall and handsome, just like Modric. Both had dark, wavy hair, the same tone of blue in their skin, and a similar angular jawline. He looked like he was maybe a year or two younger.

“Ladies,” Modric turned to us. “This is my cousin, Dereki. He couldn’t make dinner tonight, but I invited him for drinks on the balcony. I hope neither of you mind.”
