Rules of Bennett: The Complete Collection Page 72

by Ember Michaels

"Oh my god," I moaned when he slipped two fingers inside of me.

"For someone who claimed we didn't have time for a quickie earlier, your pussy sure is greedy," he growled, taking my clit back into his mouth. I gave up in trying to continue to bathe Liam at the moment, unable to let go of Bennett's head or the counter that was holding me upright. It wasn't as if he minded, simply alternating between slapping the water and biting on his teething ring. Bennett's earlier words bounced around in my head as he continued to lick me closer to an orgasm. When we moved out of the main house, we would be able to do things like this. We'd be able to have private moments as a family, private moments as a couple, and just privacy in general. There wouldn't be people milling about at all hours of the night and for once, if Bennett and I wanted to have spontaneous sex all over our house, we could. A smile settled on my lips at the possibilities of all the sexy fuckery I could get up to with my husband.

He was so skilled with his mouth, knowing the perfect speed and pressure to do with his tongue and the right spot to stroke when his fingers were inside of me. Within minutes, my legs grew weak, Bennett holding me upright as he continued to feast on me.

"Shit, Bennett, I'm right there," I breathed as my breath quickened. "Faster...faster....yes, just like that," I moaned.

Liam patted my hand, looking at me with his head cocked to the side, his tiny brows furrowed as he looked at me. I was so close and needed Bennett to push me over the edge before Liam started to whine. I cringed when the door to the penthouse opened, voices filtering into the living area. Fuck. It was as if one fucked up thing after another was happening right when an orgasm was racing right into me.

"Yo, Bennett? Where you at, man?" Saint called from the living room. Oh fuck! It wasn't just Bruce; he'd brought a fucking audience. I tried to pull away from Bennett, but he only tightened his hold on me, fingering and licking me faster as my breaths came in quick.

"Oh god," I whimpered, my voice getting away from me as my body trembled. "Oh fuck, I'm coming!"

I couldn't control myself as my moans filled the kitchen, my body jerking nearly uncontrollably as I practically melted on Bennett's tongue. A few whistles sounded from the living room, but I felt too good to be annoyed or embarrassed. It almost felt as if Bennett were claiming me as his for everyone to know, not that they didn't already. But the fact that he wasn't worried about his men hearing him pleasing his wife turned me on so much that I wanted to skip breakfast, ask one of the guys to watch Liam, and drag Bennett back into the bedroom for him to fuck my brains out.

But I'd save that for our date night tonight.

He gave me a long, final lick before he kissed my inner thigh. "You okay up there?" he teased, his voice low.

I panted, nodding. "Yes, aside from your son looking at me like I'm crazy," I said, letting out an airy laugh. He chuckled and slid my jello leg off his shoulder before shimmying away from me, standing to his feet.

"You love birds need a minute?" Nyxin called out.

"Jesus, Bruce, how many people did you bring?" I exclaimed as Bennett laughed.

"Just the usual gang," Bruce called back. "We'll step out into the hallway until you guys are decent."

"That's a good idea unless you guys wanna see my dick," Bennett threw back.

"Oh naw, I'm good on that, man. We'll be outside the door," Saint said. We listened until the front door closed before I released the breath I didn't know I was holding.

Bennett kissed my neck. "How about you give me this robe and go take a shower? I'm sure Carrie will be here soon anyway. I'll get Little Ducky ready while you get yourself ready."

I'd be lying if I said I wasn't impressed with Bennett's eagerness to help me with Liam. "Are you sure?"

"Positive. Now strip and go on before I bend you over the counter and fuck you," he taunted. I giggled and shrugged out of the bathrobe, handing it to him.

"Thanks, baby. You're the best," I murmured, kissing him on the lips. It was always such a turn on to taste myself on his skin, but I knew I couldn't focus on that or else I'd never leave this place. And with a slap on the ass, he sent me on my way, blushing like a schoolgirl as if I were falling in love for the very first time.

The guys were all gathered in the living room laughing by the time I came back out. Saint sat on the floor playing with Liam as Bennett, Bruce, and Nyxin lounged on the different chairs around the room.

"Glad to see so many relaxed faces around here," Nyxin joked, laughing when Bennett threw a rubber block at him.

"Shut the hell up, man. It's just nice to not think about work for once."

"Nah, I know that look. That's the you've-been-fucked-within-an-inch-of-your-life look," Saint said from the floor. "Gina used to make me like that."

I giggled as I picked Liam up from the floor and kissed him on top of the head. "You guys are insane," I said, clearing my throat. Though my voice cracked sometimes when I spoke and it was a bit sore when I swallowed, I couldn't help but blush when I thought about what made it that way. Bennett looked at me and smirked when I cleared my throat a couple of times.

"Carrie called. She said she'll be here in ten minutes. And I warmed up one of those bottles you had in the fridge and gave it to him, so he should be good," he said. I nodded as I walked over and grabbed the hat that matched Liam's outfit, shaking my head when he pulled it off the minute I put it on.

"Please turn your phone on in case I need you for anything," I said, leaning down to kiss him.

"Will do, gorgeous. And be sure to text me to let me know where you are. I'll look up the menu online to let me know what I'd like for you to bring back for me."

"Alright," I said as I put Liam in his car seat and buckled him in before grabbing his diaper bag and putting it on my shoulder. "I love you."

"Love you too, babe. You need help taking him downstairs?"

"I got it, but thank you. I'll be back soon."

"Alright. Be safe," he said as I headed to the door.

"See you later, guys," I called over my shoulder. "And don't talk about work!"

"You got it, Boss Lady," Nyxin called out right before I walked out of the room.

By the time Liam and I made it down to the lobby, Carrie was pulling up to the entrance. Talk about perfect timing, I thought to myself as I made my way out of the hotel. Carrie smiled at me as she got out of the car and ran around to us, looking at Liam with soft eyes.

"Hi there, handsome boy!" she cooed, reaching out to take his small hand into hers. Liam only grinned watching her as she made all kinds of silly faces.

"You can do all of that when we get to the restaurant," I said and giggled. "I'm starving."

"Okay, okay, come on then." She took the car seat from me, already having a base in her backseat. I got into the front seat with a sigh, pulling out my phone when my text message alert went off.

Bennett: I love you. Hurry up and get back.

I grinned to myself, blacking out my phone screen as Carrie got back into the driver's seat. "Someone's all smiles," she teased as she put the car in drive and moved the line along.

I sighed in contentment, my body still humming from the orgasm I'd just had. "You know, when I left the house last night, I didn't expect the night to end the way it did. In fact, I didn't even expect Bennett to immediately come looking for me. But it just ended so beautifully to where I feel that I truly have my husband back."

"That's good! It's about time something good happens for you guys," she said as she pulled out into traffic.

I looked out the window. "But something isn't sitting right with me."

  "What do you mean?"

"I just...I feel as if everything happening right now is too good to be true, you know? I mean, Bennett agreed to all of my demands without question last night. Like, he agreed to us moving out of the house to have more privacy. You know how he feels about that house and about being closer to work."

"Hmm. What else did he agree to?"

"He also agreed to come home ever
y night, at least long enough to have dinner with me and to be a part of Liam's bedtime routine. That's been our biggest issue these past few months."

  "Wow."

"He even agreed to having a second baby when everything calms down," I said, gasping with Carrie slammed on brakes. "What the hell, Carrie?"

"A baby? You guys are having another baby?" she squealed. Car horns sounded around us, people yelling out of their windows as I glanced back at Liam before narrowing my eyes at her.

"Can you not endanger the one we already have? Jesus," I grumbled. "We're not having the baby right this minute. Things are super hectic right now. We agreed that we'd have one when things mellow out with the new family. The last thing I want is for Bennett to have something else to stress about."

"Sorry, baby talk just gets me so excited. I can't wait to have so many nieces and nephews to spoil," she exclaimed, clapping before she continued down the road. "Well, all I'll say about the feeling you have is just to remain positive. Maybe he's really trying to change. He cares about you and Liam a lot and maybe you leaving scared some sense into him."

"Hopefully," I murmured, focusing my gaze out the window. Even though he'd said all those things, only time would tell if he’d actually keep his word.

The rest of the ride to Culina was quiet aside from Liam blowing spit bubbles and babbling in the back seat. Something in my gut told me that the other shoe was going to drop soon, but I couldn't think of when or how it would happen. Even if it wasn't on Bennett, something was going to happen that would pop our bubble of bliss no matter how hard we tried to preserve it.

"Aurora?" Carrie said, snapping me out of my musings. I looked over at her, seeing her watching me with a raised brow. "Are you coming? We've been sitting here for three minutes."

"Oh, sorry. Just stuck in my own head," I said, giving her a small smile. I got out of the car and opened the back door, taking Liam out of his car seat. He gave me a gummy smile, evidence of his incoming teeth appearing.

"Jesus, he's a spitting image of his father," Carrie said as she tickled his side. "So damn adorable."

"He is," I said, kissing the top of his head as we walked toward the entrance. "I never thought I could love anyone as much as I love him, and I always find small things to love about my perfect boy every day."

"He's going to be so spoiled. I wonder how he'll react to a sibling," Carrie mused, which made me smile.

"Hopefully, he won't be too much older before Bennett and I try again. It all depends on whether or not we can get everything settled in a timely manner," I said, just as the clip holding Liam's pacifier fell off his shirt. "Shit. I need to wash this off."

Liam reached for it, whining when I didn't give it to him. "Aww, what's wrong, Little Ducky?" Carrie cooed.

"He wants his pacifier, but I have to wash it. It fell off his shirt," I said as we walked into the restaurant.

"Hi, how many in your party?" a hostess asked with a bright smile.

"Two and a baby," Carrie said and then turned to me. "Well, go clean it and meet me at the table. Should I take him with me?"

I shook my head. "It's okay. I'm going to check him anyway to make sure he doesn’t need a diaper change, too,” I said. She nodded and headed off with the hostess as I went in the opposite direction to the women's bathroom. Liam whined in my arms, on the brink of a tantrum if he didn't get his pacifier back.

"Hold on, handsome. Mommy has to clean it first," I murmured to him, kissing his chubby cheek. I pushed the door open and walked over to the sink, turning on the water. He stopped whining at the sound of the water, looking down into the sink as I held the pacifier under the stream. After a few moments, I put it into his mouth and kissed his forehead, giggling when he smiled behind it. The bathroom door opened but I didn't pay it any mind, sprinkling kisses all over my giggling son's face.

"Motherhood looks beautiful on you," a male voice said. My blood ran cold as the Russian accent registered in my brain, moving my eyes up to the mirror to see the large man standing a few feet away. He put his hands on his hips, exposing the gun on his hip in the process. "Mrs. Moreno."

"Do I know you?" I asked nonchalantly, but I was scared shitless. I didn't want to make any sudden moves considering that I had Liam in my arms, and I had no idea what this man was capable of.

"Not quite, but I know your husband," he said, taking a step closer to me. I inched away from him, gently bouncing Liam in my arms as he grew antsy. "My boss isn't very happy about Bennett ignoring his requests."

"I don't know what your boss has going on with him. I'm not necessarily in the front seat these days."

He gave me a sarcastic grin. "I'm sure. Well, regardless of whether or not you have a seat in your organization, you have a permanent seat on your husband's dick. I mean you started as a whore after all, according to my boss."

The sneer on his face made me want to break his neck, but I was in no position to do such a thing. I needed to get Liam out of here, suddenly regretting leaving on my own without Bennett or the guys. I swallowed hard, doing my best at keeping my growing fear from showing.

"What do you want?" I asked, my voice trembling slightly.

He grinned as malice twinkled in his irises. "Tell your husband to hand over the contacts my boss asked for. This time it's not optional." He pulled the gun from his hip and pressed the muzzle of it against my forehead before glancing at Liam, who sucked on his pacifier, watching the man curiously. The man smiled at me before he turned the gun to an open stall, shooting the toilet. Liam screamed from the noise, my heart racing in my chest as the man pointed the gun back to me. After a moment, he pointed it at Liam.

"No!" I screamed, clutching my crying baby tighter to my chest.

"It would be such a tragedy if something were to happen to him," the man said, the muzzle of the gun just centimeters from the back of Liam's head. He held my gaze as he continued smiling before finally whispering, "Pow."

A single tear rolled down my cheek as he holstered his gun, chuckling and leaving me in the bathroom alone. An uncontrollable sob ripped through me when the bathroom door closed. I held Liam close to me as I cried, trying to console him. My worst fear was coming to life right before my eyes—the moment where Liam could be put in danger due to the life Bennett and I chose. As I kissed his head and whispered soothing words to him, I did know one thing.

The Russians just made the biggest mistake of their lives and when Bennett found out about it, he'd destroy every single person that threatened his family.

  BENNETT

"Feeling more relaxed yet?" Bruce said when Aurora left.

I shrugged. "I guess. Everything good at home?"

"That shouldn't be your concern, Boss," he said with a smirk.

"And why the hell shouldn't it be?" I asked, frowning.

"Because your wife would have all of our heads if she finds out you're asking about work," Saint said as he tossed one of Liam's blocks in the air.

"It's not like she's here right now. Besides, I only asked if things were fine. You're acting as if I'm trying to fucking plan an escape to go work right now," I mumbled.

"Well, I know you're taking a couple of days off, but there's one problem that can't be ignored," Nyxin said with a sigh. He and the other guys exchanged a look, which gave off the vibe that he wasn't supposed to have mentioned it.

"What's up?" I asked, looking between them.

"It's nothing. We'll handle it," Bruce said before cutting his eyes to Nyxin.

"But keeping him in the dark about it isn't safe either," he fired back. Saint sighed and shook his head, continuing to toss the block in his hand.

"Will someone tell me what the fuck is going on?" I asked.

Bruce ran a hand along his bald head and sighed deeply. "The Russians are trying to start trouble again," he started. "They're still asking about those contacts that you owe them."

"I don't owe them shit," I snapped. "I've talked to Alec a shit ton of times and have told him the same thing."
<
br />   Ever since that meeting I'd had with them last year that resulted me in killing the two previous bosses of the Russian bratva, Alec had been on my ass about getting Wilson’s contacts, even more so after I'd killed him. He'd kept saying that the contacts would make us even for my actions, considering that I'd "done him a favor" by killing his previous bosses. But I had no intentions of giving him anything because they were mine. Why the fuck would I give him something I was actively using to rebuild my empire?

He'd been dishing out veiled threats of what would happen if I didn't comply, but I wasn't worried. If a war was what he'd wanted, he'd get one. Anyone with a brain knew I was a loose cannon when provoked, and Alec was slowly pressing buttons that would cause him to see me sooner than he expected.

"Well, you're going to have to sit down and talk to them again because it's only a matter of time before they try to hit you where it truly hurts to get you to bend to their will," Saint said with a sigh. "You know they always try to strike you where it hurts the most when they can't get through to you otherwise."

Just the thought of them hurting Aurora or Liam made my blood boil. I knew I'd have to sit down with Aurora and get her up to speed on what was going on. I also knew that having this conversation had the potential of pissing her off, as it would require me to backtrack on some of the shit I'd promised her the night before. At the end of the day, making sure my family was safe was my highest priority. I just hoped I could get Aurora to understand that without her throwing me in the doghouse.

"Yeah, I know. I'll plan a meeting with them and go from there," I mumbled.

"Look, it's not something that has to be done right this second," Bruce reminded me. "Enjoy the time you have with your family, man. We'll handle anything that comes up until you're back."

"How the hell can I focus on relaxing when they keep popping up with bullshit?" I said, everyone glaring at Nyxin.

"Should've kept your mouth shut," Saint mumbled to him.

"He did what he was supposed to do," I said, my tone flat. "I can't keep my family safe if I don't know what's going on."
