“Fuck, Nancy. I’m going to come.” Rusty thrust two more times then held himself deep inside of her as he groaned out her name.
He didn’t move for long minutes then finally fell forward, catching his weight with his hands so that he didn’t crush her.
“Think you broke me,” he rasped out.
Jared chuckled from the other side of her. “She’s good like that.”
Rusty rolled off her and lay panting on the opposite side of her. His labored breathing loud in the room.
“Roll over, babe. We all need to get some sleep,” Jared said, pushing against her until she’d rolled over to drape her arm over Rusty’s chest while he snuggled up against her back.
Rusty reached down and pulled the covers over all of them before settling down and holding Nancy’s arm against his chest.
“Night, hon,” he said.
“Night Rusty. Night Jared.”
“Mmmhmm.”
Chapter Seven
“Here’s the last of the tomatoes,” Jared said as he carried in yet another basket of the dreaded scourge of Alpha.
What in the hell could they ever do with that many tomatoes? Yeah, there was sauce, tomato gravy, chili, and an assortment of other uses, but she was sick of peeling, cooking, and canning them.
She grimaced. She needed to stop complaining. Poor Randi did this all day every day while she only worked a half-day at the most on putting the veggies up. She could be stuck doing it full time. No, she was by far the luckiest of them. She’d peel the damn things and make soup to put up next. Maybe doing something different with them would help with the monotony of dealing with the dreaded thing.
As she washed and put them on to boil, Jane let her mind wander to the night before. She’d felt like Jared was really growing to care for her. They’d actually made love for the first time. They’d each had sex with her separately, but the night before had been the first time they’d taken her at the same time, and it had been everything Felicity had told her it would be.
She waited on the tomatoes to boil and sat at the table shelling peas while she thought about how much she’d needed that bit of intimacy to feel like they were a family instead of three people living in the same house.
They’d kissed her all over, paying lots of attention to her breasts before Jared had rolled her over so that she lay on top of him. He’d looked up into her eyes, his dark with arousal, and told her to ride him. She’d leaned in and kissed him before lifting so that he could hold his cock steady while she slowly sank over the hard length of him. It felt like heaven when either of the men was inside of her, but for some reason, it felt extra special when it was Jaden. Probably because it meant that he wanted her when she’d doubted it earlier.
“Ride me, hon. I want to feel that tight pussy clenching around my dick when you come,” he’d said.
Jane could still almost feel what it had felt like to have him deep inside her, nearly reaching her cervix. His thick shaft stretched her in ways she’d never thought were possible, but they always made sure she was ready for them before they took her.
Where Jared was thick, Rusty was long, bumping her cervix with each thrust of his hard cock. Together they would be powerful inside her, but they hadn’t taken that last step yet. Until last night. She’d lifted herself nearly all the way off of Jared’s hard shaft then sank back down, faster and harder until she felt Rusty’s hand at her back, urging her to lean forward.
“Let Jared hold you while I grease up this tiny little ass, baby girl. I want inside tonight. Is that okay with you?” he’d asked.
“God, yes. I want both of you inside of me. Jared?” She’d looked into the other man’s eyes to be sure he was fine with that.
“I want it, too, hon. It’s time,” he said.
She’d searched his gaze until she was satisfied that he was ready then let him pull her down over his chest where he wrapped his arms around her. She still got a shiver thinking about the heat in his eyes when she’d asked him if he was ready. Yeah, he’d been ready.
Rusty had dribbled something cool and greasy on her little back hole then pushed a finger inside with more of the substance. She wasn’t sure what they were using as lube, but she couldn’t smell anything that might have clued her in. It felt a little oily. Then she’d forgotten all about her curiosity as Rusty began fucking her ass with his finger. The sensation didn’t hurt at all. It felt odd but not unpleasant. It wasn’t until he’d added more of the lubricant and added a finger that she felt the first twinges of pain.
It pinched like Felicity had told her it would then a soft burn that soon went away. When he pulled his fingers out this time, she felt him add more of the greasy substance at her back entrance, and then his cock pressed against the little opening. That was when the real burn hit. She wasn’t sure she could do it, let him inside her there, but as she’d pushed out, the mushroom cap slipped past the tight ring of her ass.
The pressure had all but evaporated as he surged inside of her. The friction burned like fire at first, but as he slowly moved in and out of her, the pleasure began to take over. Then both of them had moved, pushing her back against Rusty then forward toward Jared. God that had been amazing.
Both men had cursed when she’d climaxed. Neither man able to hold out as her body convulsed around them, squeezing and tightening on their twitching cocks. She’d never felt anything even remotely like that in her life. She’d felt stuffed and full and so a part of them while they’d both been inside her.
Once it was over, they’d cleaned her up and tucked her between them so that she hugged Jared from behind, his hand holding hers at his chest while Rusty spooned her from behind. For the first time since they’d moved out to Space Station Two, Jane felt like they were a true family.
Rusty walked through the door cursing a blue streak. He was holding his hand, and blood dripped from it as he headed for the laundry room where the first aid supplies where.
“What happened?” Jane jumped up and followed him into the other room.
“I caught my hand on the edge of one of the hinges on the transport craft. Cut it, but I don’t think it needs stitches.”
“You didn’t touch anything else, did you? I don’t want you to end up sick from something on this crazy planet.” Jane opened the kit and grabbed a clean cloth. “Let me take a look.”
Rusty let go of his hand where he’d been trying to hold pressure. It was at an odd angle on the outside of his palm. She could see that it was a good inch long and fairly deep. He did need stitches. It was going to hurt for a while by the looks of it.
“Rusty. I’m going to need to stitch it. It’s too deep to heal cleanly, and you wouldn’t be able to do anything for fear of opening it back up if we don’t close it,” she told him.
“Well, hell. Okay. Do whatever needs doing. I swear. I can’t believe I was that clumsy.”
“How’s the cut?” Jared asked.
“Needs stitches. I’ll fix him up, but he’s done for the day. If he pulls the stitches out before he’s even had a chance at them healing, it will mean going to the doctor at Space Station One,” she told him.
“Need me to hold him?” Jared asked, a serious expression on his face.
“What the hell? No. You don’t need to hold me down or anything. I can take it.” Rusty glared at the other man.
Jared’s face spread into a slow grin. “Figured you could.”
“Asshole.”
Jane nearly burst out laughing at the two men. It felt good to smile despite the dire situation of needing to put stitches in one of her men’s hands. She realized that, though they’d taken long strides into becoming a family, there hadn’t been a lot of teasing between them, and there needed to be that just as much as there needed to be intimacy.
“Jared. Could you turn the stove off for me? I don’t want the tomatoes to boil over or dry,” she said.
“Sure. I’ll carry the first aid kit out to the table, as well. He’ll need to sit down while you do it so you c
an rest his hand on the table.” Jared picked up the case and carried it into the kitchen.
Jane wet a cloth, and then she followed the two men into the other room. Once Rusty was safely sitting, she put a towel beneath his hand and poured some of the antibacterial cleanser over the cut and dabbed it with the wet cloth.
“Hell, that stuff burns.” Rusty grinded his teeth as he seemed to fight to keep his hand still.
“Sorry, but it will kill any germs, and it has a deadener in it that should kick in after a few seconds. That will help with me sewing it up.” Jane opened a package with the needle and thread used for small wounds. She tested the skin near the cut with the needle and, at Rusty’s nod, began putting small tight stitches in to draw the edges of the cut together. All in all, it took six stitches to close it. She cleaned up around it then applied a pressure bandage that was infused with antibiotic ointment.
“You’ll need to be careful with it for the next twenty-four hours. Then you can use it to some degree. Nothing heavy or anything for three or four days or it might open back up. I’ll probably pull the stitches in a week to ten days depending on how it looks.”
“You sound like a damn doctor,” Rusty snapped.
Jared slapped the back of the other man’s head. “Be nice. She just fixed you up.”
Rusty narrowed his eyes at the other man. “Sorry, Jane. I’m just pissed that I did it. It’s going to put us behind with everything.”
“You can help me with keeping watch over stuff when I’m trying to cook and shell peas at the same time. For now, go sit in the living room and put your hand on a pillow to keep it elevated so it will stop bleeding sooner.”
“Yes, ma’am.” Rusty grimaced when he lifted his hand off the towel and stood.
“Keeping it up on a pillow will also keep it from throbbing,” Jane told him.
Once he’d disappeared into the other room, Jared helped her clean up the mess.
“Is it bad?” he asked.
“Not too bad, but he really is going to be sidelined for a few days so that he doesn’t open it back up. If he does that, he’ll have to go back to let the doctors there treat him. I’m only trained in putting in stitches and taking care of small things. I can’t handle anything bigger than that,” she told him.
“I’ll keep him down if I have to sit on him,” Jared said.
“Don’t worry about it. You do whatever you’ve got to do, and I’ll take care of him. It really will help me if he can keep an eye on whatever I have on the stove while I shell peas and snap beans. I waste a lot of time getting up and down trying to make sure I don’t end up with a mess on the stove.”
“Good. That way he’ll feel like he’s doing something. Otherwise he’s going to be a bastard to live with for the next few days.” Jared pulled her into a hug. “Thanks for seeing to him.”
“Just be careful so that I don’t end up with both of you on the sidelines acting like bears with sore paws,” she said.
Jane smiled as Jared replaced the first aid kit then walked out of the kitchen to return to whatever they’d been doing when Rusty had gotten hurt. She poured a glass of tea and took it into the living room with a pain pill.
“Here you go. This will help keep it from hurting too much once the deadening stuff wears off.” She held out the glass and pill to him.
“It feels like it’s on fire as it is now. I sure don’t want it to hurt any worse than this.” Rusty spoke through clenched teeth.
“Let’s put your hand a little higher.” She took one of the pillows off the couch and propped his lower arm up to the level of his heart. “That should help some with the pain. I’m in the other room if you need me. Just yell. I’ll hear you.”
“Thanks. Sorry I’m snapping. It hurts like a mother, and I’m not used to having to sit things out.”
“It will only be for a few days. Just until it looks like it’s healing up. Things are supposed to heal much faster here on Alpha with whatever that strange cell is in our bloodstream. You’ll be out doing your job in no time. Tomorrow you can help me in the kitchen if you’re able to get enough rest tonight.”
Jane thought about it and wondered if he needed to sleep in the recliner so that he didn’t accidentally hurt his hand during the night. She’d talk about it with Jared later. She sure didn’t want him to tear out the stitches in the middle of the night.
The rest of the afternoon, Jane checked on Rusty off and on while she worked on making soup and canning it. All they’d have to do would be to add meat when they got it out to eat that winter. It was hard to believe how bad the winters could be on Alpha when you dealt with the hot summers, but she’d seen two now, and they’d been rough. She wondered how hard they would be living out in the far reaches of the planet instead of on the much larger Space Station One. At least there you could make your way around the town on the covered sidewalks. They didn’t have those here on Space Station Two.
How will we manage to milk the cows and gather eggs in the driving snow? I sure don’t want to get out in that mess.
She sighed. She’d do whatever she had to do. That as what living on Alpha meant. To survive, she’d work as hard as she needed to and make sure everyone around her was safe.
By the time Jared had returned several hours later, Rusty had finally fallen asleep and Jane was frying up chicken and cooking potatoes to mash. She’d put up all the tomatoes she’d had that day along with several batches of snap beans. They would be having the leftover beans for dinner along with the potatoes and fried chicken.
“Smells good in here,” Jared said.
“Dinner will be ready in about twenty minutes. Try not to wake Rusty if he’s asleep. He’s been hurting most of the afternoon now.”
“What about the pain pill?” Jared asked as his brows knitted.
“One doesn’t seem to work. I’m going to give him two when we get ready to go to bed. I’ve been thinking. He probably needs to sleep in the chair tonight so that he doesn’t accidentally split his stitches open in the bed tonight. I mean three in the bed at one time will get a little tight if you have a hurt hand,” she said.
“You’re probably right. We’ll see about that when the time comes. He’s going to kick up a fuss. I know I would.”
“Yeah. I already expect it. Go shower and get comfortable.” She shooed him off.
Jane worried about Rusty the entire time she finished up the meal. It really hadn’t been that bad of a cut, but anything there on Alpha could be dangerous. The fact that he’d cut it on the transport and not something indigenous to the planet helped allay some of her fears, but they kept encroaching on her thoughts as she cooked.
“Ready for me to wake Rusty?” Jared asked from the doorway.
“Should we let him sleep then he can eat later when he wakes up on his own?
“If we wake him now, he might not be hurting as much as if we wait. When he wakes up, he probably will be in some pain. I vote for waking him up now.” Jared waited for her decision.
“Okay. Go ahead. Hopefully he’ll feel like eating. He needs to. At least it’s not his right hand.”
Jared walked into the living room. She could hear muffled voices, and then the two of them walked back into the kitchen with Rusty sporting a scowl and holding his hand up. To his credit, he sniffed the air and smiled as much as he seemed to be able to.
“It smells damn good in here. I think I could actually eat,” he said.
“Good. Fried chicken, mashed potatoes, gravy, and green beans. Hope that will be enough for you.” Jane set the platter of chicken in the middle of the table then returned to the stove to pull out the rolls.
Rusty reached over to Jane when she sat down and squeezed her arm. “Thanks for this, baby girl. I know I’m being a bear, but the son of a bitch hurts more than I expected it to.”
“It’s deeper than it looked. It will be better tomorrow. You’ll see.” At least Jane hoped that would be so.
“Let’s eat. My stomach is growling hard enough to spook a ma
ntis,” Jared said.
Jane was relieved to see Rusty eating a healthy portion despite his hand throbbing as he’d said it was. Together, the two men all but cleaned out the bowl of potatoes and platter of chicken. She was glad she’d cooked two birds instead of just one. She had just enough to warm up for her and Rusty the next day. She’d already decided she’d stay at home with him to keep him from being lonely and wallowing in pity. No doubt he’d fuss about that, as well, but she’d tell him she had way too much vegetables to put up to work a half-day at the station. She could catch up another day.
“Thanks for dinner, baby girl. It was wonderful. I ate enough that I feel like another nap.” Rusty stood, holding on to the back of the chair when he wobbled a bit.
“Easy, man. Besides the cut you have, you’re still carting some pain meds in your system.” Jared stood close by but didn’t grab the other man to steady him.
Jane sighed. Men could be such babies when they were ill or hurt. Had it been her, she had little doubt one of the men would have carried her into the living room. She smiled. Now she felt more confident in saying one of the men in that she knew Jared cared for her, though he hadn’t actually said the words. Still, Jane was much more positive that everything would work out soon enough. She already knew she loved the two men. It had come awfully fast, but they were good men who worked hard and paid close attention to her.
Only time would tell if Jared would actually love her one day. Even if he didn’t, Jane would be happy with the way things currently were. She knew better than to expect miracles all the time.
Chapter Eight
“I swear I don’t want to see another vegetable in my life. Hell, I could do without cows and chickens, as well,” Jane told Felicity. “All I can think about and dream about are giant tomatoes attacking the house with mantises riding on their backs.”
Felicity laughed. “I haven’t had to put up near what you have, but I feel the same way. Imagine how poor Randi feels. That’s all she does day in and day out. Now that she’s pregnant, there’s no telling how she’ll manage next spring.”
