Jenna's Future (Dr. Jenna Harper Series Book 3) Page 14

  “Still not complaining?” Kris asked.

  “Not at all.”

“Good.” Kris pushed against her as she kissed her neck and dug her hands into her waist.

Jenna tasted the wine from dinner on Kris’s lips and tongue. The way Kris made her feel was more intoxicating than any alcohol could ever make her feel. She resisted as Kris pushed hard into her during a tug-of-war of Kris trying to push her down on the couch. Instead, she pushed back against Kris feeling her breasts pressed against her chest. She kissed her hard and deep, exploring her with as much eagerness as a teenager making out in the backseat of a car. The muscles in Kris’s thighs and abdomen glided beneath her fingertips as Kris refused to give in.

She slid her hand across Kris’s inner thigh and cupped Kris’s wet panties in her hand. Kris moaned into her mouth and spread her thighs further apart, but was still determined to push her down and be the one on top. She ran her fingers with firm pressure over the soaked material.

“You’re not playing fair,” Kris whispered between kisses.

“I’m not. I’m playing dirty, and I know you like it.” She ran her fingertips beneath the side of Kris’s panties welcoming the effect her touch had on Kris. She traced her fingers up and down the wet slit she encountered. “Is this what you wanted me to do to you that night I moved in?”

  “Yes, god yes.”

“You wanted me to touch you here?”

  “Mmmm, yes. That feels good.”

Jenna pulled back to watch Kris as she pushed two fingers inside her. “What about this? Did you want me to do this too?” She pushed her fingers in further and began pumping them in and out in a slow rhythm.

Kris placed her hands on Jenna’s shoulders and forced her down on the couch. She ran her thumb across Jenna’s lips. Jenna sucked it between her lips while she continued her steady rhythm inside Kris.

“You’re driving me crazy,” Kris said.

Kris pulled her thumb from her warm mouth. Jenna grazed it with her teeth as it slid past. “No, it’s the other way around. You’re the one driving me crazy.”

Kris trailed her fingers from her mouth, down to the hollow of her neck. Jenna wrapped her fingers around the band of Kris’s panties and pulled hard, but Kris didn’t budge. It afforded her a view of Kris’s mound, and she licked her lips with anticipation of placing a kiss on it. Her chest rose up and down, heavy beneath Kris’s fingertips as they slid further down over her bra and down her stomach. Kris didn’t stop until she had her pants unbuttoned and the zipper down. As Kris’s hand moved inside, she didn’t have the willpower to stop her.

She pulled and tugged on Kris’s panties. The thin material stretched and pulled in her hands. The sound of material ripping caught her attention. Was it her pants this time, her panties? Or was it Kris’s? It didn’t matter. Kris’s hand was against her now, working her up and down. Kris leaned forward, supporting herself on her elbow. The look Kris gave her, was enough to let her know she had no intentions of stopping.

“This is what I wanted to do to you. Run my fingers up and down like this.”

  “Mmmm, yes. What else?”

  “Circle your clit like…this.”

Jenna brought her arm up to her forehead with her shirt partially covering her face. Kris wasn’t lingering at all, she was determined to get her off, quick. She pushed her pelvis up against Kris’s hand working her over, needing to feel more pressure.

“Did you work this fast in your fantasy?” Jenna asked.

“Sometimes, not always. Do you want me to slow down?” Kris asked dragging the palm of her hand across Jenna’s clit.

Her body jerked with the different sensation of having Kris’s palm grind against her while her fingers were on the brink of entering her. “No, don’t. I don’t need slow right now.”

She scratched at Kris’s back as her fingers plunged hard and deep inside her. She shifted her hips a little to get the angle just right. Each thrust of Kris’s fingers was met by her hips. Her intent was to satisfy Kris, but here she was on her back on someone else’s couch with her jeans down around her ankles now limiting her position. It wasn’t the most comfortable position to be in, but Kris was making her forget about it. She loved feeling Kris slide and grind against her leg. Kris was just as wet as she was.

“Oh, I’m so close now. So close.”

“I know you are. I know.”

Kris’s fingers worked her clit hard and fast, erasing any doubt that her orgasm was dancing near the edge.

“Yes, yes. I’m so, so…oh, I’m…I’m…” Her toes curled and her heels pushed against the armrest of the couch. Her hips relaxed and her heart felt like it skipped a few beats before thumping hard and then slowing back down.

“See what you missed out on while we lived here?” Kris asked. She grabbed two fistfuls of Jenna’s shirt and pulled her up for a kiss. She relaxed down into Jenna’s arms lying on her back.

“Lucky me, I get to experience it now and for the rest of my life.” She kissed Kris’s shoulder and wrapped her arms around her. She ran her nails up and down the insides of Kris’s arms from the crook of her elbows to the top of her wrists. It was a sensitive area and she knew how much it relaxed her. Kris melted beneath her touch, letting any tension she had go. Her head rested against Jenna’s shoulder.

Kris sighed. “I could stay like this forever.”

“How’s that? Almost completely naked in someone else’s house?”

“Don’t spoil the moment. You know what I meant. In your arms.”

“I know, hun.” She kissed the top of Kris’s head. “So, what do you think? Would you want to buy this place?”

“You know how I feel about this house, but it’s a big decision. One we have to make together.”

“I know. I love this place too. I always have. The fact is, I should have listened to you before about selling our house, but I’m ready now. We need another place and we both love this house, so what’s holding us back?”

“I just want to make sure you’re okay with it. I want our next home to be our permanent home. I don’t want to be one of those couples who move every couple of years. I want to set down roots.”

“Okay, but you still haven’t given me any real reason why we shouldn’t do it, why we shouldn’t jump right in with both feet before it even hits the market. We’re getting married in three months. We could move in before the wedding and start our marriage off right.”

“I’ll think about it. We have to find out how much she wants and get an inspection and—” Kris stopped talking when Jenna’s right hand ran over her panties and her left hand worked her breast.

“Shhh, we can talk about this later. I have other plans right now.” Kris’s nipple grew hard beneath the pads of her fingers.

“I thought I satisfied that already.”

“Oh, but I’m not done with you yet.” She slipped her hand inside Kris’s panties and went straight for her clit. “All those nights while I laid in bed thinking about you, I would touch myself just like this.”

Kris brought her arm back, running her hands through Jenna’s hair. She turned her head enough to steal a kiss.

“You did? You touched yourself while thinking about me?”

“Mmmmhmmm, just like this. Sometimes, while in the shower too.” She slid her fingers further finding more moisture. “I imagined it was your fingers moving over me…inside of me,” she whispered in Kris’s ear.

The tension in Kris’s body returned, and Jenna felt her muscles tighten as she moved against her. Kris’s thighs separated further giving Jenna all the room she needed. She watched her hand move and her knuckles dance beneath the thin material. She varied her rhythm, her intensity, her speed. She never wanted sex to be mundane and predictable. Kris’s heels pressed into the cushions and her knee was wedged between two cushions on the back of the couch. Kris’s backside moved and pushed against Jenna’s clit with just enough contact to tease her.

Kris’s clit swelled under her fingers, and
she knew how close Kris was. “There was one thing in my fantasies that couldn’t be replicated though.”

  “Mmmm, there was, was there?”

“Yes, but I can take care of that right now.” She slid out from under Kris. Once she was on her feet, she moved in behind the couch.

  “What are you doing?”

“Throw you legs over back of the couch. There’s one more fantasy I need to fulfill while we’re here.”

Kris threw her ankles over the back of the couch. Jenna leaned down and grabbed Kris’s waist, pulling her legs higher until her thighs were at the top of the cushions. She saw the big tear on the side of Kris’s panties and realized that was the noise from earlier. She pulled them off and tossed them to the side.

Kris supported herself on her elbows, but once Jenna’s tongue licked up her center, she collapsed putting her in an awkward angle. It wasn’t long before she used her elbows again. Jenna helped support her hips as she lapped her up. Those yoga classes Kris religiously attended had paid off, and she was reaping the benefits from it.

“I can see how this would have been difficult for you to accomplish yourself,” Kris said between moans and quick breaths.

Jenna shoved her tongue deep inside Kris while Kris’s legs wrapped around her back and held her in place. She watched Kris’s facial expressions looking for any signs of discomfort from the awkward position, but there was no trace of that. She licked back up to the sensitive bundle of nerves waiting to be coaxed into an all-consuming orgasm. She sucked it between her lips letting the tip of her tongue press light against it while her lips created a gentle suction around it. She tapped the tip of her tongue against it, each time causing Kris’s thighs to squeeze against her.

She shoved three fingers inside of her while she sucked on the hard bud. Kris’s moans increased and she rocked back and forth still propped on her elbows.

  “Yes, don’t stop. Oh…my…”

Within seconds, Kris’s thighs had her caged in while her body went rigid and then she collapsed back down. Jenna kneeled on the floor in front of her.

Kris’s legs fell back down to the couch cushions. “That was amazing.”

“Thanks for letting me cross that one off my list. Don’t worry, I have a very, very long list. I plan to mark through each item one by one with you, but first we better get going.”

  Chapter Fourteen

“I still can’t believe I’m doing this.” Kris said.

“You’re not having second thoughts now are you?” Allie asked.

“No, of course not. I’ve never been so sure of anything in my life. It’s just…we’ve been through so much. At times, I thought this day would never come.”

“And that’s why it’s that much more special. You two have gotten all the hard stuff out of the way first. Nothing and no one can come between the two of you now.”

“I hope you’re right. I’ve learned how unpredictable the future can be.”

“Have you heard anything back from Jenna’s parents?”

Kris shook her head. “I didn’t expect to, but we wanted to make sure they knew. I’m sure she always thought she would have her father walk her down the aisle. She says it doesn’t bother her, but how could it not?”

“She’s probably better off without them here. No one needs to interrupt your big day. Who knows what her father would try to pull?”

“So, what about you and Danni? Are you ever going to make an honest woman out of her? You’ve been dating her longer than I’ve known Jenna.”

Allie crossed her arms. “Have you ever thought of me as the marrying type?”

“Doesn’t matter what I think. You’re not my type, and I’m already taken.”

“Don’t flatter yourself. I’m not sure I’m ready to give up my independence and freedom yet.”

Kris laughed. “What freedom? What independence? You’ve been exclusive for years. You’re already living together, eating dinner together every night, and share clothes. So, what is that you would be giving up by getting married?”

“I’ll have to get back to you on that.”

“Okay, but don’t let her get away. For some reason she loves you, and I know you love her too.”

“Let’s get back to today. Do you know if Jenna is wearing a dress?”

“I don’t know. We didn’t discuss it. I don’t care what she wears. The only thing that matters to me is that we get married. I told her I didn’t need a big production. We could’ve done it at the courthouse, and I would’ve been happy with that.”

“So, why didn’t you?” Allie asked.

“Jenna would tell you because of my mom, but I think it’s just as much to do with her. I thought we could skip having a big ceremony because I knew it would be hard for her not having her parents here, but she wanted to do it anyway. She wanted to have the people that mattered the most here to celebrate with us.”

“Well, I’m glad we get to be a part of it. You look beautiful in that dress. What kind of material is that?”

“I think the woman called it duchess satin silk. It drew my attention as soon as I saw it hanging with the other dresses. It has a nice sheen to it.”

“It does, almost iridescent. It’s elegant, but simple. It’s almost like it was designed for you the way it hugs your shape. Jenna will love it.”

  ***

“Thanks for being my best woman.” Jenna said.

“You’re welcome. Thank you for asking me. I kinda like the way that sounds, best woman.” Skylar said.

“Don’t get too carried away with yourself.”

“Hey, it’s my title for the entire day. Let me have a little fun with it. This might be the closest I get to an altar.”

Jenna gave her a disapproving stare. “Please, you’re not fooling me. You could have anyone you wanted, but that’s the problem. You can’t commit to one person.”

“I’ll work on that one day. Speaking of committing to one person, have you seen Kris today?”

“No, it’s supposed to be bad luck to see your bride on the day of your wedding.”

“Since you’re both brides, wouldn’t that cancel out any bad luck out?”

“With everything we’ve been through, I’m not willing to take my chances on that one. Can you zip me up?”

“I’m good at working the zipper the other direction, but I think I can manage.” Skylar zipped the back of the white satin strapless sweetheart gown. “Did you have that discussion with Kris about removing your tattoo?”

“Yeah, we had a long talk about it, but she doesn’t want me to do it.”

“Really? I would’ve thought it would bring back too many bad memories for her.”

“That’s what I thought too, but she said it’s part of who I am and represents who I’ve lost. She understands I got it years ago and what the meaning behind it is.”

“Are you sure she’s not just saying that because she thinks that’s what you want to hear?”

“No, I can tell she means it. She even surprises me sometimes by kissing it. It’s sweet. I had it when she met me. In fact, right after we met I told her I had a tattoo, but I wouldn’t tell her where I had it or what it was. I didn’t mean anything by it, but her curiosity went out of control. It was a little game we played of me keeping it hidden and her trying to find out what it was. So really, it’s a part of our relationship in a weird twisted kind of way.”

“How do you feel about it? Do you want to keep it?”

“Yes, I do. I was heartbroken then and I’m heartbroken over everything that happened now. She’s a part of me and forever will be, whether or not I have the ink removed.”

“Enough about this topic. Today’s a happy day and it’s almost time to celebrate. Then, the real fun happens tonight after the wedding. I don’t need to have the talk with you do I? You know what to do and how to—”

“Thanks, but I think I know everything I need to know about tonight.”

“You sure? There are probably some things I know that you’ve
never heard of before.”

“I’m sure that’s true. Let’s keep it that way.”

Skylar winked. “Let me know if you change your mind.”

“That’s not happening in this lifetime.”

“Kris might have a different opinion. Speaking of Kris, is she wearing the same wedding gown as you? I love yours.”

“I’m not sure. We picked them out separately and wanted it to be a surprise. Is it a bad thing if we’re wearing the same one?”

“Only if she looks better in it than you.”

“Thanks for that vote of confidence.”

“I’m just joking. You look beautiful.”

“Thank you.” Jenna glanced at the clock in the corner. “Well, let’s do this. I’m about to marry the love of my life.”

  ***

She and Kris had gone to several banquet halls trying to find the perfect spot to hold the ceremony, but each one left them feeling like something was missing. They couldn’t quite put their finger on it, but they thought they would know it when they found it, that something would just click. After getting down to the last place on their list, they stopped in the park where they had ice cream that first day they met after Kris’s accident.

It was spring then and the weather had just warmed enough that the ice cream vendor had opened up again. They ordered some and walked around the park talking about where to look next if the last place didn’t work out. Kris suggested they could do it at the house, but it would be so soon after they moved back into Kris’s old house. As soon as the words left Kris’s mouth, Jenna had an epiphany that they should get married in the park. She didn’t have to convince Kris. They chose August 11 because of that first day they shared in the park.

Jenna spotted her aunt Bethany waiting for her as the limo pulled up. Since her parents never responded to her invitation, she asked her aunt to walk her down the aisle. It was a short walk, but a symbolic one.

Jenna got out of the limo and surveyed the setup. There were chairs with white covers in rows along the pathway that led to the gazebo where they would say their vows. Bouquets of white roses surrounded the gazebo and matching ones hung on each end chair of the rows. Everyone was in their seats waiting for the ceremony to begin.
