Stung by Stealth: A Satan's Savages MC Novel #3 Page 7

by K E Osborn

She sniffs and sits up on the bed watching me, biting her bottom lip and wrapping her arms around herself. “Stealth?”

I shake my head as I continue to pace the floor wondering what the fuck is wrong with me. Here is the most gorgeous woman who’s willing to have sex with me, and I go and stop it all because of some freakout. I’m seriously fucked in the head. “Shit! I’m sorry.”

She stands up picking her knickers from the floor, and beings to put them back on. “Are you okay?” Her voice breaks which tells me that in asking her question, she isn’t okay.

I stop pacing and turn to look at her.

“I’m sorry! I just… I can’t.” I know I’m separated from Hannah. We’re not together, and I know there’s very little chance of us ever being together again. Hannah has been more than adamant about that situation. So why am I feeling this guilt? This pent up anxiety. I’m not cheating on her in any way.

She nods and sniffs taking a deep breath. “It’s okay, I get it.” She turns to walk out of my door, but I grab her arm making her turn back to look at me.

“I promise this isn’t about you.”

She nods, but by the way her eyes are glistening, I know I’ve just seriously fucked up. “No, it’s fine. Seriously… forget it.” She shrugs out of my grip and walks out of my room closing the door quietly behind her. The gentle click of the door latching behind her sends my body into meltdown. I fall to the floor with my head in my hands wondering what the fuck just happened, and what the fuck have I just screwed up…

  Chapter Six

Closing the door to Stealth’s room, I feel like a part of me is dying. Having him reject me like that is not only embarrassing, but it hurts like hell. Having him so close, only to freak out at the last minute, is a pain I wasn’t expecting. I like him too much already. Wiping a stray tear from my cheek, I take a deep breath, wrapping my arms around myself for comfort and move slowly back out to the clubrooms. I’m confused. I want things to go further with him. Knowing he was married, I’m pretty sure his ex-wife is the issue. If there’s one thing I don’t want to be is a rebound, I want him to want me because he likes me, not because he’s attaching out of loss.

Dragging my feet along the concrete floor, I stagger out to the sounds of ‘Animal’ by Chase Holfelder. The deep chords and dark lyrics reminding me all too much that Stealth is taking a bite of my heart every time we do this dance. Although, we’ve never kissed before, let alone nearly had sex, it’s always just been major flirting with him wanting to kiss me but always backing away. I thought I could handle that, and I have been, but when he kissed me something inside me sparked. I thought this was it, he was finally giving himself over to me. Letting go of his demons and letting me in, but I was wrong, oh so wrong. Now, I’m left here feeling like I’m not good enough and that things with us will be strange.

Moving over to the bean bag sofa that Steel loved so much, I take a seat and huff folding my arms over my chest as I stare into my lap. I don’t want to go to bed just yet, that will only remind me of what I could be doing right now with Stealth, and I don’t want to be thinking of that right now. As I take a deep breath, a pair of killer Louis Vuitton sequin-embroidered satin from red to black heels appear at my feet. If there is one thing I know, it’s shoes. But these are to die for, and could only belong to one woman.

  “Hey, Jess.”

“You turning into a horse or something?” she asks.

I glance up at her furrowing my brows wondering what the hell that means. “Umm… what?”

“Why the long face, honey?” she asks turning and sitting down next to me with a slight smirk like she thinks she made the best joke ever.

Sighing, I shake my head. “No, it’s nothing really.”

She huffs and rolls her eyes. “Ah-huh. Wouldn’t have something to do with that hunk of a man dragging you off to his room… giant boner and all… and now you’re out here not five minutes later?”

Slumping my body into the sofa, I nod. “I like Stealth, I really do. But I don’t think he’s attracted to me or something.”

Jess scoffs and rolls her eyes. “You’re dreaming! I see the way he stares at you when he thinks no one’s looking. He likes you, and wants you. He just has issues. There’s a lot more to Stealth that we don’t know. He’s hiding something, of that I am sure, I just don’t know what. Be careful with him, but follow your heart. If you like him, tell him. Lay it all on the line, and just let him know that you’re there for him.”

  “It’s complicated… he’s getting over his ex-wife.”

Jess shakes her head and wraps her arm around my shoulders. “His wife won’t take him back. You need to show him that you’re better, and you’re here and willing. Once he sees the real you, and that you’re willing to go all in with him, how could he resist?”

Turning my lips to the side, I shrug. “I suppose.”

Jess pulls me to her and squeezes tightly. “Hey, why don’t you go back into his room now and show him that you care about him. You don’t have to fuck Stealth, just be with him. Let him hold you, tell him you’re there for him. Be there for him until he’s ready to give himself to you.”

Nodding and smiling, my stomach unknots itself and my heart starts to flutter back to a normal rhythm. “That’s a great idea.” I lean in kissing Jess on the cheek and she nods.

“I know, I came up with it.”

Laughing, I stand up to take a deep breath while straightening out my skirt ready to head back to Stealth’s room. Not knowing what I’ll find when I get there, I don’t want to go to bed tonight leaving things the way they are. It’s eating me up, and I’m sure he feels just as off about it as I do. Putting one foot in front of the other, I trek back down toward Stealth’s room. My heart is beating frantically as I gnaw on my bottom lip. I just hope he doesn’t send me away because that would hurt even more. Reaching his door, I take a deep breath and knock twice gently.

“Come in,” his deep deflated voice murmurs from behind the door.

I centre myself, then turn the door handle opening the door and poking my head through it. He looks over at me and then sits up on the bed dramatically and half-smiles. It’s an awkward smile like he’s happy to see me but wary of why I’m back.

He tilts his head gesturing for me to come in, so I walk inside and close the door behind me gently. I stay standing by the door. There’s an awkward silence in the room for a moment before I gain the courage to talk.

My heart beats so fast I feel a little sick. I open my mouth, my voice cracks slightly, but I get the words out. “I’m sorry for leaving like I did.”

He shakes his head and runs his hand through his hair. “No, I apologise for freaking out.”

Sighing, I nod. “Would it be okay if… I stayed and you… just… held me?”

He smiles wide and his body slumps like he’s relieved. “Yeah… I’d like that.”

My chest tightens at the thought of spending the entire night with him cuddled up in bed. I’ve been dreaming of this for weeks, and hopefully, we can last the night but I won’t push him. If he asks me to leave, I will.

Moving my hands to the side of my skirt, I grab the zipper and draw it down letting my skirt fall to the floor. He swallows hard as I amble toward his bed, kicking off my heels. Bringing my hands up to the bottom of my tank top, I lift it up over my head and throw it down next to my skirt leaving me in my underwear. He gulps looking at my semi-naked frame. I saunter to the edge of the bed and look down at him. He smiles pulling back the bed covers showing me he’s lying in bed in just his boxer briefs. I smile thanking my lucky stars he isn’t naked. I don’t know how I could have kept my hands to myself if he were. I slide into bed with him and lay down, my back to his front. He wraps his arms around me and the warmth from him sends a spark running right through my back straight into my heart. I know I’m falling for him, even with his flaws. Turning my head, he brings his face up in line with mine and I smile at him.

  “Thank you.”

He shakes his head. “No, thank you for coming back. You’re too good to me,” he says and then leans down planting his lips to mine. Closing my eyes, I relish in his kiss. His tongue dances with mine and I bring my hand up holding his cheek. He pulls back, and I think maybe he’s going to freak out again but his eyes are soft and he smiles. “Really, thank you for coming back. I was going crazy thinking I’d ruined us.”

I turn in his grip to face him and caress his cheek. “It’s already forgotten.” I lean up kissing him again, our tongues dancing with each other’s, as all memory of tonight’s freak out moves to the back of my mind. I kiss him pressing my body against his as he holds me tightly, hopefully for the rest of the night.

Movement on my arm slowly pulls me from a blissful sleep. It’s the first night in a long while I’ve actually slept through the entire night, and damn does it feel good. The movement takes my attention again, and my eyes slowly open to see a beautiful blonde nestled in between my arm and my chest. Her head resting in the nook of my shoulder. Smiling as she murmurs in her sleep and jerking slightly from an apparent dream she’s having, I bring my hand up to her delicate face and gently wipe some stray hairs from her cheek. She really is stunning, and as she settles down and stops moving, her eyes begin to flutter as she takes in a deep breath lazily opening her eyes.

  “Morning gorgeous.”

She looks up at me and smiles wide. “Morning handsome.”

Leaning down, I touch her lips for a morning kiss. She kisses me back without hesitation and with a hard vigour. It makes my cock twitch instantly, but I’m not going to think about that right now. Pulling back, she gazes at me with a smirk.

“You surprise me, you know that.”

I purse my lips. “I do? How so?”

She giggles slightly and rests her head back on my chest like it’s meant to have always been there. “I actually would’ve pictured you as a snorer, but not one single sound came from you last night, except for breathing. You were really out to it.”

Stealth by name, stealth by nature.

“I’m quiet in everything I do, gorgeous.”

She looks up at me with a glimmer in her eyes and a smirk on her face, like she’s thinking about something but doesn’t want to say.

Furrowing my brows, I put my finger on her forehead. “What’s going on in that pretty little head of yours?”

She leans in kissing my chest quickly before sitting up in the bed, the sheets falling from her breasts swiftly making me want to remove her bra to take her nipples into my mouth.

Shaking my head from my wayward thoughts, I look up at her face to see her grinning at me. “Enjoying the view, you perv?”

Smiling, I nod. “Very much. Can you just turn around and bend over for me slightly?” I tease.

She scoffs, rolling her eyes, and gets out of bed picking up her tank top off the floor and pulling it on. Chuckling to myself, I follow her and her eyes snap to my naked chest and her mouth drops open slightly.

“Oh, now who’s enjoying the view, huh?” I tease reaching out and tweaking her nipple through her top. She giggles slapping at my hand and bends down for her skirt.

  “So, breakfast?”

I nod and grab my shirt off the chair and pull it over my head. “Sounds good, I’m starved.”

“Yeah, you need to eat some greasy bacon, those abs are growing their own abs. Eat some fat, damn it!” She pokes at my toned stomach.

Chuckling, I pull her to me and she smiles as I lean down to kiss her again. “But then you wouldn’t want to look at me if I had a beer gut like the Prez.”

She opens her eyes wide in mock shock and giggles. “Talking bad about the Prez behind his back, Stealth. Bad form. I might have to tell him about your delinquent behaviour.”

Smirking, I raise an eyebrow. “Oh no, we can’t have you ratting on me gorgeous. I’ll just have to find a way to keep you quiet.”

She purses her lips and tries to back away from me, but I hold her tightly to me. “Oh yeah, like what.”

“I think I can find a way to keep your mouth shut,” I say and push my lips to hers strongly grabbing her hair and forcing her mouth to mine. Her body sags into me completely surrendering as her mouth opens and her tongue goes rogue with mine. I could seriously become addicted to kissing her like this. Heat builds inside of me, so I move in closer to her, our bodies moulding together. She wraps her arms around my neck as I kiss her deeply. Her leg lifts up and wraps around my waist and I grab hold, my fingers digging into her silky flesh as I grind my now fresh hard on into her pussy. Every inch of me is aching to be with her, but I need to calm this down a notch.

Do I want her? More than anything. But I have to take this at my pace, and if I know Skye like I think I do, she’ll walk the slow steps with me. Easing the kiss and softly pulling back, she moans in appreciation and licks her lips.

  “You’re delicious, you know that?”

I smirk and shake my head. “I think I should be the one saying that.”

She shrugs and tilts her head. “I think your betrayal of Mad Dog is safe with me, you delinquent. If you keep kissing me like that, I’ll keep my mouth shut, or open as it were.” She winks pulling her leg down from my waist and finishes putting on her skirt.

Taking a deep breath, I shake my head. “You gorgeous, are trouble… with a capital fuck me you’re hot.”

She laughs and rolls her eyes. “Put your clothes on, Stealth, I need to feed your abs’ abs.”

Turning, I reach for my jeans and put them on as she steps into her heels. She really is amazingly sexy—her toned body is super fit—and even though I’ve never really been a fan of tattoos on women, I can’t imagine Skye without hers.

  They suit her.

  Perfectly.

Once we’re both decent, we walk out hand-in-hand toward the clubroom for a good feed from Boiler. His big breakfasts are the best. Skye is cuddled into my side as we step into the clubroom. My attention is drawn straight to Techie talking to Crash, they’re pulled together like they’re discussing something secret.

  I wonder what’s going down.

Crash nods to Techie and they both start heading outside like their on a mission, storming fast like something’s actually going down. Turning to face Skye, I kiss her head and let go of her hand.

“Gorgeous, can you order breakfast and I’ll be right back? Just want to check on something.”

She smiles and sits down on a stool. “Sure thing, handsome.”

Turning I follow quietly outside to watch Techie stepping over Steel’s Hog. Furrowing my brows, I wonder what the hell he’s doing. Surely, that’s not allowed. Jigsaw must wonder the same thing as he rushes up to Techie grabbing his shirt. I can’t hear what they’re saying, but Techie’s shaking his head as Jigsaw lets him go. Jigsaw slumps his body and pounds his chest like he’s angry. I’m starting to contemplate whether I should go over when Jigsaw rushes across hopping on his Hog too. Crash jumps in a cage and the three of them take off out of the compound—Techie on Steel’s Hog. It’s really strange to me that Techie would get on another man’s bike, especially his best mates, who he knows wouldn’t let anyone else ride it. Something isn’t adding up for me. So I walk over to the gate and look up the post toward Sentinel.

“Yo, Sentinel, where are they going?”

He shrugs. “I have no idea. I don’t know anything that goes on around here. I’m just a lousy gatekeeper.”

Slumping my body and exhaling at his apparent care factor, I try to lighten his mood. “You’re there to keep an eye on everyone that comes and goes from the premises. That’s an important job.”

“It’s bullshit, is what it is. You’re doing all the good stuff. I just hope you’re reporting in everything you’re being told.”

I duck down in reaction to his words hoping like fuck no one is out here to hear him. “Keep that talk down will you, you cockhead.”

“Yeah, yeah. Go back to kissing arse.”

  “Hey, don’t forget I’m the only f
riend you have in this joint. You don’t want to get me offside too do you?” I berate.

He huffs and flares his nostrils. “Stealth, I don’t think I have any friends in this joint, to be honest. You don’t have any loyalties, not from what I can see, not to the right people anymore. I don’t even know who you are right now.”

“Oi, stop with this bullshit. I know you want to fit in here too, but you keep pushing and prodding people and they’re getting suss of you. You’re the one going about this the wrong way, not me.”

“What the fuck ever, you sit in here in your fucked up make believe world thinking you’re in with these thugs and I’ll do the real work, how’s that?”

  “Doug, I’m on your side.”

He huffs while shaking his head. “You sure have a fucking shithead way of showing it!” He turns his head away from me and closes the gate, not only on the compound but also on our conversation.

Taking a deep breath as my aggravation with him rises, I turn around marching back inside to have breakfast with a gorgeous girl. Then I plan on spending the rest of the day drinking beer.

  Lots of beer.

  Chapter Seven

My head is pounding from over drinking yesterday. Honestly, I’m taking this drinking like a biker thing to the extreme. I need to settle it down a bit. Dragging myself out of bed, I get dressed and wander out to the clubroom. The smell of the customary bacon wafts through the air, and for once it churns my stomach rather than making it grumble. I really did have too much to drink yesterday.

Licking my dry lips as I look around the clubroom, I notice Mad Dog talking to Chops. He spots me and nods his head toward me as if he wants me to go across to him. Stopping on the spot, I raise my eyebrow and tilt my head in question and he frowns.

“Get over here, dickhead,” he calls out waving his hands about.
