“What the fuck happened? You never texted saying it was done.”
“I couldn’t take the shot.”
“What? Why the fuck not?”
“She got in the way. If I took the shot, I would have hit Adalina.”
“Fuck!” Turk yelled and slammed his hand down on the steering wheel. “I need this done. Stand by for my call. We need to eliminate the problem.”
He disconnected the call and stared out the window.
They would be with her tonight. Fucking her, doing her together. This had to end. She was his woman. The one he longed to have and had waited patiently for. Those fucks weren’t going to get her. No, they were going down, and perhaps the best way to ensure that happened was for him to set them up. Tonight.
Chapter 7
“Sunny. Oh God, what are you doing?”
“Saying hello.” He suckled her neck as he wrapped her in his arms and began to unzip her dress. He’d arrived at her apartment, along with Vinny, delivering takeout food. Vinny placed the bags down on the counter in the kitchen, but it seemed Sunny wanted to make love first.
She ran her fingers through his hair until he shoved her blouse up over her head then shoved her skirt and panties down. Vinny unclipped her bra, and she let her arms fall then gasped as Sunny hoisted her up onto the bed and dropped her down. He grabbed her ankles, pulled her lower, and spread her thighs wide. She was moaning and then wiggling the second his mouth landed on her cunt.
“Sunny. Oh, Sunny, please.”
Vinny was tearing off his clothes, and then he tossed a tube of something onto the bed.
He lay down, and she reached for him as he rolled toward her and suckled her breast. She held on to his head while both men feasted on her body.
Her pussy clenched, and then she felt the orgasm hit her. That deep, tense cramp then turned to an explosion of pleasure.
“Oh!” she exclaimed.
Sunny pulled back and started to undress as Vinny gripped her hip and turned her toward him. She kissed him on the mouth, plunged her tongue in exploration, and then lifted her thigh up over his hip and straddled his waist. His hands ran up her thighs, and then his palms spread her ass cheeks. She rocked her hips. She needed them both. Wanted them both inside of her.
A moment later she felt Sunny move in behind her.
“Ours. You’re all ours, always,” he said, and then she felt something cool against her anus.
“This is lube. It will get that ass nice and lubricated. The first time we were easy on you.” He thrust two fingers into her ass.
It burned, but then it caused a vibration of need to penetrate to her core. She started to rock her hips and feel hungry, needy for their cocks to fill her up. She lifted her hips with Vinny’s assistance and took his thick, long shaft inside her channel. “Oh.”
They both moaned. She started to move, to ride him in slow, long strokes, but then Sunny’s fingers pulled from her ass, and she felt the loss.
“Sunny.”
“Easy, baby. Easy now. I’m coming in,” he said.
“Do it. Please. I need, Sunny.” She moaned.
“Holy fuck, do it. Let’s take her. I can’t hold back,” Vinny confessed.
She felt the tip of Sunny’s cock against her anus, and a moment later, his hand slid up under her hair to her neck in that possessive hold he knew drove her insane, and he thrust all the way.
“Oh.”
They moaned together. He rocked his hips, pulled out, and then shoved back in.
“Please. Oh please, I feel so tight.”
Both men began to thrust, one after the other, into her body. Vinny cupped her breasts, and Sunny gripped her hips and stroked harder. She was panting, trying to catch her breath when she cried out and came.
“Yeah. Oh yeah, Adalina. So good. So tight and incredible,” Vinny said and then thrust up into her and came next.
“Mine. All fucking mine,” Sunny exclaimed then thrust again and again before he shot his load into her ass.
She fell against Vinny, who wrapped her in his arms and kissed her neck and shoulders.
Behind her, Sunny massaged her ass cheeks and her thighs as he slowly slid his cock out of her ass. He kissed each cheek and disappeared a moment.
“Are you okay? We didn’t hurt you?” Vinny asked her, pushing the damp strands of hair from her cheeks.
“Amazing. I feel amazing when I’m with you.”
He smiled and kissed her temple, and then she jerked when she felt the cool cloth against her skin.
She lifted up.
“I can do that.”
“No. You’re our woman, and we take care of you. Get used to it,” he said very firmly, and she pulled her bottom lip between her teeth and stared at him.
“What?” Sunny barked and leaned over her.
“You’re very commanding in bed.”
“I’m very commanding out of bed, too. Remember that.” He kissed her lips, and she cupped his cheek then leaned into the crook of his neck until Vinny pinched her nipples.
“Hey,” she scolded.
“Hey, yourself. How about something to eat?” he asked.
“Okay, but then I’m having you for dessert,” she teased him as she got up and bent to grab her skirt.
Smack.
“Hey,” she said, placing her hand over her ass cheek after Sunny smacked it.
“We own that ass. Remember that.” He snagged her around the waist and started sucking on her neck and tickling her, making her laugh. When he scooped her up into his arms and began to carry her out to the kitchen naked, she reprimanded him.
“Sunny, I need to put some clothes on.”
Vinny pressed close and trailed a fingernail along her nipple.
“We like you just like this.”
“Accessible,” Sunny whispered and lowered her to her feet, sliding his palm along her ass and dipping a finger into her pussy.
She rubbed her hands up and down his chest and hugged him tight. Vinny kissed her bare shoulder.
“A girl could get used to this.”
“And we can get used to having you whenever we damn well please,” Vinny told her, and she closed her eyes and absorbed how perfect she felt in their arms and how amazing starting this relationship with them was truly going to be.
Chapter 8
Sunny held Adalina’s hand as they walked down the sidewalk. Vinny was on the phone right next to her, and they’d just finished up having breakfast at the café before she needed to head to work.
“Are you sure you can’t take the day off?” Sunny asked her.
She hugged his arm. “As much as I would love to, I can’t. I have a meeting with Tudoro at ten and some computer work I need to go over.”
“Well then, how about lunch?” Vinny asked, ending his call and obviously listening in on the conversation.
“No can do. Besides, don’t you guys have a bunch of work to do?” she asked as they headed to the SUV.
Sal stood by the door prepared to open it. He’d parked by the side street and away from crowds and traffic. She’d stopped short, remembering to mention the event on Thursday, the club and male strip show party with the ladies, when suddenly Vinny jerked back. It happened so fast.
Sal grabbed Vinny, and Sunny lifted Adalina up and practically threw her into the SUV. Vinny followed, cursing and holding his arm. She saw the blood.
“Oh God. What is that? You were shot?” she asked as the door closed, and then the SUV was taking off into traffic, horns honking and Sal driving like some madman. Sunny was ripping Vinny’s shirt and talking on the phone.
“We were shot at,” he said into the phone.
She looked at Vinny and the wound.
“It’s a flesh wound. It skinned me,” he stated.
She ripped the shirt the rest of the way from his arm and then rolled it and applied pressure to the wound. He looked at her, and she could see the anger in his eyes. He reached up.
“I’m okay, Adal
ina. I’m okay.”
She felt like throwing up, like crying, screaming at whomever had taken the shot at him.
“She’s okay and safe. We got into the SUV and took off. No, I don’t think anyone saw shit. Yes, we’ll meet you there.” Sunny ended the call.
“To where, boss?” Sal asked.
“Golden Street.”
She didn’t know where that was, but she looked at Sunny, who was furious. He covered her hand that covered the wound. Blood was seeping through. They locked gazes.
“Who?” she whispered, and he shook his head.
“I don’t know, but I promise to find out, and when I do, they’re fucking dead.”

“You don’t know who the fuck it could have been?” Mateus asked Sunny out in the hallway. They were at a special location getting Vinny patched up. The cut from the bullet that punctured his skin needed stitches. He wasn’t happy. Sunny was pacing. His phone rang, and a call came in from Tudoro. He was on his way with backup.
“What has been going on with those deliveries and the missing merchandise you mentioned and that fight the other day last week?” Mateus asked him.
“We found out this group of guys do these jobs for people. The old man we bought the business from couldn’t seem to stop them. It’s why we got rid of the employees and put our own in place.”
“Good, but do you think these men you fired could be seeking some revenge?”
“I don’t know. It wouldn’t make any sense. They were losers. I’m surprised more wasn’t taken.”
“No other issues then?” Major asked.
“None.”
Major looked at his cell phone.
“Tudoro is going to flip out. You know that, right?”
“I know.”
“Where the fuck is Adalina?”
They all turned to see Tudoro and Vega. Tudoro looked ready to kill.
He pointed at Sunny. “I don’t know what shit the two of you are involved in, but Adalina is off-limits. This is what I was afraid of.”
“What the hell are you talking about? She was safe.”
“Safe? Fucking really, Sunny? Your brother was shot, and he was right next to her.”
“Behind us actually, and we’re working on leads now.”
“That’s fucking great, but what about Adalina? Whoever took the shot either meant to send you and your brother a message or they were a bad shot. Are you going to count on hope that next time that bullet doesn’t hit Adalina or maybe the bullet ends her life?” He headed into the room, and Sunny looked at Mateus and Major.
“We’ll see what we can find out.”
He stared at them. “This doesn’t make sense. Something isn’t right.”
* * * *
Adalina was standing next to Vinny as he pulled on a shirt. The door opened, and there stood Tudoro and Vega. “Tudoro.”
“Adalina,” he said, and she went right to him, and Tudoro hugged her tight.
“You’re okay?” he asked.
She pulled back and nodded. “It was the strangest thing. We didn’t even see where it came from.”
He caressed her hair and stared down onto her eyes. “Grab your things.”
She squinted at him as Sunny entered the room, too. “What?”
“Grab your things. I’m taking you home.”
“I was going to stay with Vinny for a bit.”
“No,” he snapped at her.
“Tudoro?”
He turned to look at her. That expression in his eyes, she knew, meant business.
She took her things and then leaned down to kiss Vinny, and then she kissed Sunny.
“Vega, take her to the car. I’ll meet you there.”
She didn’t want to leave them, but Sunny gave her a nod. She knew he was feeling guilty, and today had scared him. She could have gotten shot, and she wondered if the shooter had bad aim or if they were sending a message. But what message? Was this because of her? It couldn’t be. No one knew who she was. What were Sunny and Vinny involved in that would make someone want to hurt them? She didn’t know, but reluctantly, she walked out of the room.

“I’m only going to tell this to you once. Stay clear of Adalina. This little romance is over, done.”
“No disrespect, Tudoro, but you don’t have a say in that,” Sunny stated.
“Oh, I don’t have a say in that? Bullshit. She could have been killed today. I’m her guardian, her protector, and you should have been protecting her, not involving her in your shit.”
“We don’t even know who did this,” Vinny stated.
“Really? Because my sources say that you’ve been skimming from shipments from various places. I think your jig is up. You stole from the wrong person, and now there’s a bull’s-eye on your heads. Stay clear of Adalina, or else.”
“What the fuck are you talking about? We haven’t skimmed shit. We busted men for doing that recently and fired their asses. We run a legitimate operation, Tudoro. Just because you have a bug up your ass from us beating you out on a job a few months back doesn’t mean you have a right make accusations and to interfere with our relationship with Adalina. She’s our woman. We won’t give up on that.” Sunny raised his voice.
“She’s off-limits. You don’t have the capabilities of protecting her. Solve your fucking problems. Ask yourselves this question. Are you willing to risk her life and have her be with the two of you when you don’t even know who wants to hurt or kill you? She could have died today. That bullet could have missed Vinny and hit her. Tell me, if you care so much about her, are you seriously willing to have her share the same bull’s-eye the two of you have on you right now?”
Sunny looked at Vinny.
“I didn’t think so. Stay away from her. It’s over.”
* * * *
“What did you tell them? What’s going on?” Adalina asked Tudoro as they drove back into the city toward her apartment.
“You are to stay clear of them, and they will stay clear of you.”
“What? Why? This wasn’t their fault. Something is going on here, Tudoro.”
“Yeah, you defied my orders, insisted that these men could take care of you and protect you. Look at what happened. How close you came to getting killed. It’s over, and you are not allowed to see them. I will assign protection in case they’ve jeopardized your life now, too. They’ll be an additional guard at your apartment. You’ll have an assigned escort wherever you go.”
She shook her head.
“I’m not staying away from them. I want to be with them. It isn’t fair. I can carry, too. I’ll take the necessary precautions.”
“No, Adalina. There’s more going on here than you know. The Costanza brothers cannot be trusted. You won’t be going anywhere alone, and you won’t be seeing them again. End of story.”
“What am I? A fucking teenager? What the hell is going on? What do you know that you aren’t telling me?” she demanded to know.
Tudoro took a deep breath and released it. “The Costanza family, Vinny and Sunny, are ripping me off. They have been for quite some time and even before they bought out that liquor route.”
“Bullshit,” she stated.
He yelled at her. “No. Not bullshit. There’s evidence.” He took a few unsteady breaths and looked at her.
“What evidence? What the hell are you talking about? It isn’t true. It can’t be true.”
“It is true. Vega saw for himself. We got a tip, and we investigated it. There’s a back storage area to one of their warehouses. They’ve been delivering and storing stolen merchandise there then reselling it. The only reason why they aren’t dead right now is because of you, Adalina. Keep away from them. If you don’t, then you leave me no choice than to put them in their graves.”
Chapter 9
Adalina didn’t sleep a wink. She was exhausted, hurt, and confused, and her gut clenched every time she tried to accept the possibility that Vinny and Sunny had stolen from Tudoro. It didn’t
make sense. She spent most of the night on her laptop trying to make a connection to the shipments that came in through Garlitto Industries as well as through the Monteith family business, and things weren’t adding up. Which led her to believe that there was no way Vinny and Sunny, or their family, were stealing from Garlitto Industries, but instead someone else was doing it and making it look as though it was Sunny and Vinny. Perhaps by them taking the potshot at Vinny, it would add to the suspicion that they were in trouble and up to no good. It was all speculation. She had no proof of anything or even evidence yet proving that there was a connection here. She stood by the kitchen counter, her bags packed and ready for work as she waited for her escort. Who the hell was it going to be? Vega? Sergio? Who?
When the doorbell rang, she paused to look out the peephole, and her heart felt as if it were lodged in her throat. Turk was standing there and it looked as if he was looking into the peephole. She remembered how pissed he’d been weeks ago when she opened the door without knowing who was there.
“Who is it?”
“You know who it is. You just looked through the peephole.”
“Not interested,” she said, and he banged on the door.
“Open up or I’ll use the key.”
She yanked the door open. “The key? Who gave you a key to my place?” she demanded to know.
He smirked and then slid past her. “Like I would need a key to get into this place? It’s the worse fucking security ever.”
“Why are you here? I’m expecting Vega any minute.”
“Can’t be. Vega is at the office with Tudoro.”
She looked up at him, standing there, seeming pompous and also angry. He was gazing over her body. She put it together quickly. Tudoro had put Turk back in charge of her security? He was going to be her escort? Her bodyguard?
She crossed her arms in front of her chest and stared at him.
“No.” She held his gaze. His blazer was open, and she could clearly see the gun he had on his hip in the holster.
