  The Prophecy (Now Available)

  Chapter One

Sasha was running scared, this street was too dark. She looked up, the street lamps where broken, she heard a shuffle behind her and ran faster. Whatever it was that was after her it wasnt giving up. Sasha ran towards the train station hoping it would be busy and that thing, what ever it was, would leave her alone, she was beginning to slow down from exhaustion but her life depended on her keeping going. Pushing herself harder Sasha made it to the station entrance. "Noooo" she cried, the station had been locked up for the night, she glanced at her watch it was only ten pm, the station normally stayed open till eleven. What on earth was going on?

Sasha was on the verge of giving up when a voice called, "Over here, quickly" she turned to her left and saw a face peeking around the wall, she didnt know whether to trust it but instinct kicked in and she realised she had no choice, go with this person or face what was coming after her.

Running towards the voice, she heard another shuffle behind her it was close that was for sure. There was a blinding flash of light and a hand grabbed her and yanked her down the alley way.

Sasha couldnt see anything, "Let go of me" she screamed, the voice replied "If I let go off you, it will suck your life force from you and you will die! Now keep running." They ran in all sorts of directions Sasha felt with all the turns she was going to be sick. Eventually the voice stopped, "We should be safe here" he told her opening a small rickety gate and walking up to a run down derelict building. Sasha looked up somehow the place didnt instill hope into her bones. It was a small house which obviously hadnt been lived in for a while. Since the beginning of time Sasha joked to herself. Stiffling a giggle she turned to the voice and asked "What was that thing after me?"

"That, my dear was a Demon and I think it is after your soul, its how it feeds and sustains its own life." The voice replied. Sasha looked at him with an open mouth, "A Demon?" she raised her eyebrows as if to say I dont believe you. turning round she looked once more at the house he had brought her to. "Well, if its safe here shouldnt we go inside, instead of staying in the garden where that thing can find us?" Sasha began walking to the front door. The voice replied "Its not the house thats safe, its the whole place, though the protection spells are weakening, I need to get a witch to strengthen them for me, but for now they are still strong enough to hold anything out that is a threat." Max was surprised the spell had lasted this long, what with the original witch who placed them being dead for twenty-one years. She had been a powerful witch, but even he didnt expect it to have lasted this long.

Sasha turned back and looked at him, "Witches, Demons?" she smirked "Do you really think I will believe those things exist" She laughed "Please I wasnt born yesterday!" Within seconds he was in front of her and she gasped, that wasnt normal. Baring his fangs he said "Yes they exist and so do Vampires, you would do well to believe young witch. Acting like nothing is a threat, will be your down fall." He put his fangs away and took her by the arm, guiding her into the house. Sasha was for once lost for words, he called her young witch, what on earth did he mean by that. That thing that was after her wasnt human, she knew that much, but could she really believe it was a Demon? Sasha needed time to think.
