Aquetong shook his head. “There’s something more.”
“A ritual?” Like at midsummer. Again, his keeps his secrets close to his chest. “When were you going to tell me?”
Aquetong made a motion similar to a shrug but his fins lay flat in a gesture of apology.
“Can we go home?” she asked.
“Are you still interested in the position I have for you?”
“I’m interested in all the positions.”
