First off, I would like to thank God for even giving me the ability to have the talent of writing. I believe in Philippians 4:13, “I can do all things through Christ Jesus who strengthens me.” There were times when I didn’t want to continue writing this book because I didn’t think it would be good enough. I started working on I choose you in January, 2014. I stopped working on it due to school. Just last month, I opened it in word where I had it saved and I realized that I did have the talent to write. I pushed myself every day to complete this book, and I was thrilled when I finished it.
To my amazing boyfriend, David Hudson, who helped me along the way. He helped me with the mistakes that he caught as he read and pushed me to get the book done. He motivated me in ways that I don’t even think he knows he did.
To my amazing parents, thank you for believing in me as well and for not doubting me when I came to you guys with the idea of writing my very own book. I love you guys so much.
To my readers, I would like to say thank you from the bottom of my heart. You guys constantly keep me motivated with positive feedback. I appreciate the love that you all offer in the book reviews and even on Facebook. Without you guys, this journey wouldn’t even be possible, so I thank you.
I hope you all enjoy this book as much I enjoyed writing it. I’m doing this for you guys. Keep a look out for Diamond, this is only the beginning, I have so much up my sleeve for you guys.

Chapter 1: Tracy
You see, I wasn’t even trying to get involved with this bullshit ass plan that Chantel had hit me up with the other day. I had done my fair share of killings and other shit that I’m not too proud of, but fuckin’ with old people and little kids has never been my cup of tea. So, that’s why when Chantel told me about taking that nigga’s daughter for ransom, I wasn’t really down with that shit, even though I would’ve missed out on a lot of money.
I didn’t know that nigga personally, nor did I care to know his fuck ass on any type of level, but I can tell that the nigga loves his daughter and he would be willing to pay any amount of money to get her back if someone had her. So, after talking to Chantel on the phone and telling her crazy ass how I wasn’t down with the situation, I hung up and headed to the corner store to kick it with a few of my niggas. That’s when I ran into that bitch nigga, Quan. Let me explain to y’all how it all went down.
It was Tuesday night, and a nigga was standing in front of this little corner store on 183rd called Juniors with a few of my niggas. The Miami bike life niggas were out riding on their dirt bikes, bitches were walking around damn near half naked, and there were about five different blunts going around. I sold a little weed in front of this spot from time to time, which is why I was standing over there at the moment. Everything was good and everybody was vibing. It was a dice game going on and the niggas who were playing were standing around talking shit as usual, and the niggas who weren’t playing, were just standing around betting on who they felt would win the game.
All of a sudden, a bad ass 2015 Maserati Gran Turismo pulled up into the parking lot, blasting that new Future mixtape. All eyes instantly went to the car because we all wanted to know who was pulling up in the hood in a foreign. When I saw that show off nigga, Quan, step out of the car, I immediately took my eyes off of him because I wasn’t going to give him what he wanted, which was attention. I guess he felt the need to come to the hood to show off his new toy. I didn’t like his ass in the first place because he did outrageous stuff and he felt like he couldn’t be touched.
I eventually had to look. It was hard not to because everybody ran up to him, giving him love and admiring his new whip and shit. Mothafuckas really thought that this nigga was the best thing since sliced bread. He made his way up to where I was standing with a few of my boys and those niggas was even on his nuts. I shook my head at those clowns and focused my attention on what was in front of me, which was nothing. I just didn’t want to be staring all in this nigga’s face.
“Tracy, you ain’t gone give that nigga Quan some love?” this dumb nigga, Zay, that I hung with asked me.
Zay was a senior in high school and he barely took his ass to school because he would rather stand on the corner and sell weed. He was a stupid ass nigga, if you ask me, and the route that he was going, I could see his ass dead or in a jail cell within the next few years because the nigga was ignorant as fuck. If he wasn’t selling weed, he was somewhere robbing people, with his silly ass.
“Man, fuck that nigga!” I said, just as Quan walked inside the store. I didn’t think he heard me because he had already turned and had his hand on the door handle, but when he turned around and faced me, I knew then that he had heard me.
He made his way over to me, grilling me like he was scaring me or some shit with the look that he was sporting. “Fuck you say to me, lil nigga?” he asked, as soon as he walked up on me.
“Lil nigga? I’m old enough to be your damn daddy!” I said to him. I wasn’t old enough to be his daddy, but I did know that I was older than him.
“You sound real fuckin’ upset. What’s wrong? I fucked your bitch or something? She came home with my dick still on her breath?” he asked and everybody that was in ear shot died laughing. “Fuck did I do to you? I know I don’t owe you no money, so why the fuck you so mad with me?” he asked.
I could tell that his ass didn’t even remember me, which pissed me off more because I was having all this beef with a nigga that didn’t even know I existed. I planned to rob this nigga blind one day, and he didn’t even recognize me from when I handed him my mixtape.
“Like I said, fuck you, nigga! You ain’t nobody to me! Just a ghetto ass rap nigga that forgot where the fuck he came from,” I spat.
Before I even had time to take into account what I had said to him, my face ran smack into his fist. This nigga punched me so damn hard that I felt a few of my teeth wiggle. I don’t know if this nigga had punched me in my mouth or my nose because both of my shits were bleeding.
“If you said anything correct just now, it’s the fact that I am just a ghetto ass rap nigga, but I know one thing, lil nigga, I don’t fuckin regret where the fuck I came from, bitch! Look where the fuck I’m at right now! I’m a long way from my motha fuckin mansion! I still bring my ass to the hood to kick it with my niggas! So I’ll never forget where I came from. I just figured out where I know your lame ass from. You the same nigga that tried to hand me your fuckin mixtape. It must really piss you off that I’m living the life that you wished you had. Silly ass nigga!” he spat, before turning his cocky ass around and making his way inside the store.
It was then that I decided I was going to help Chantel out with her little plan. I was going to show this nigga how it felt to be touched, since his ass thought that he could march his ass around, punching niggas in the face and nothing would happen to him.
That’s how I got myself into this situation, and it was taking everything in me not to strangle this little bitch, China, to
death because she hadn’t stopped crying since we brought her back to my house in the city. I don’t know where the fuck Chantel’s cousin, Nita, had disappeared to because we hadn’t seen her since we all left the house that we had Charlie drop China off to.
The shit worked so smooth because we all knew that if the sleepover were to be at Nita’s house in the projects that Charlie would have never let China’s ass stay over there. Luckily, Nita still had the spare key to her mother’s house from when she used to stay there with her years ago. She informed us that her mother worked late nights at the hospital, so we had enough time to get China in the house and out before Nita’s mother came home from work.
“I want my daddy!” China yelled. She had been saying that for the past hour, and that shit was really starting to drive a nigga crazy.
“Fuck your bitch ass daddy, little girl! And stop crying before I hurt your little ass!” I yelled at her.
Her eyes bucked, and she went back to crying, only this time not as loud.
“What are we going to do now?” Chantel asked, walking back into the room where I had China. It probably wasn’t a smart idea to have all of this dirt going down at my house, but shit, nobody knew I had his daughter. Besides, the nigga didn’t know where I stayed, so I was good.
“Fuck you asking me that for? You had this all mapped out! You came to me with the idea, dishing out orders and shit!” I told her.
“Damn, I didn’t think the plan was going to go successfully like this. I done did my share of dirt, robbing these niggas and shit like that, but I ain’t never kidnapped nobody’s kid before. This is too much, Tracy. Think about it, she knows what we look like, so as soon as we hand him his daughter and we get the money, she’s going to explain to him how we look. I don’t know about you, but I ain’t ready to die yet,” she said.
I could see in her eyes that she was beyond terrified. “You go around trying to play a grown man’s game, when this shit ain’t even for you. You worrying about that nigga killing you, I got the mind to kill your ass right now for even getting me in the middle of it!” I reached behind me and pulled my gun out through the waist band of my jeans. As I pointed it at her, I said, “Now, I don’t trust your ass! How I know that you won’t get your share of the money and run to the cops and tell on a nigga? Make me believe something, bitch, because I’m about two seconds away from killing your ass.”
I watched as her body shook and tears formed in her eyes. “I would never go and run to the cops. I took part of this just as much as you did, so I can go to jail as well, especially if Charlie tells the cops that Nita was hosting the sleepover and set her up. I know Nita will testify against me and say that I held a gun to her head and damn near forced her to be a part of the plan. So, going to the cops isn’t even an option,” she cried.
“Bitch, quit fuckin’ crying, with your scary ass. Give me that nigga’s phone number and I’m going to call him myself. When we do the drop, you can get your share of the money and get the fuck out of dodge, since you so damn scared of that nigga. I shouldn’t even give your ass shit,” I said to her.
She went over to her purse and pulled out her phone. After a few seconds, she read the number off to me and I called him *67 from my cell phone. I kept calling back to back, but the nigga wasn’t answering.
“You sure your dumb ass gave me the right number? Because he ain’t answering the phone,” I barked at her.
She jumped from the bass in my voice. “Yes, I’m sure. Would you answer your phone if someone were calling you from private?” she sarcastically asked me and I shot her a look, letting her know not to fuck with me.
I called the number again, and this time, he answered. “Fuck is this playing on my damn phone?” he barked and I inwardly laughed because I could already hear in his voice that he was pissed off about something else, and it wasn’t because I kept calling him from private.
“Chill out, man, because I got something you want,” I said, walking over to China. “Say hi to your daddy, China.”
“Daddy! I’m scared. Where—” she started to say, but I removed the phone, took it off speaker, and placed it back to my ear.
“I don’t know who the fuck this is, but you got to be a brave ass motha fucka to mess with my damn seed. A nigga got cars, money, jewelry, and you decide to take the most important thing in my life away from me. What the fuck do you get from doing that? How does that make you feel like a man by taking another nigga’s baby?”
I could tell his little punk ass was fuming by now.
“I get your money out of this, nigga,” I said.
It was silent for a few seconds.
“Fuck is you talking about, man?” he asked, obviously not knowing what I was trying to say.
“I want a million dollars handed over to me in cash by midnight, nigga, or else I’m killing this little cry baby ass bitch,” I said.
“You got it, and watch your motha fuckin’ mouth, calling my daughter a bitch! I swear to God, y’all motha fuckas—”
“Nigga, you got a lot of nerve trying to dish out orders when I’m holding a gun right now and can easily stop her heart beat. So, like I was saying, meet me down at Scott Lake park tonight and have the money sitting over by the playground, and come alone. If I feel like you on some fishy shit, no questions asked. I’m offing her ass,” I said and hung up.
“Get her little ass so we can head out,” I said to Chantel and walked out of the room.
Chapter 2: Jaquan
Clearly, this dumb motha fucka who just called me begging for a million dollars in exchange for my motha fuckin’ daughter doesn’t value their life. A nigga was ready to die for an easy million dollars. Shit like this infuriated me, and it only made me that much more eager to kill whoever was behind this shit. Niggas think just because I’m a rapper now, married, and living that Hollywood lifestyle, that shit has changed and made me a pussy, but I know for a fact that it hasn’t. I wasn’t in the business of risking my life or my freedom by standing on the corner selling drugs because that shit wasn’t worth it. I had a daughter to raise and a wife to take care of, but it seems that even when a nigga tries to do the right thing, niggas still try to fuck with me.
My daughter never went through half the shit or saw half the shit that Charlie and I went through at her age because it was our job to keep her sheltered from the harms of this world. China only had to live in the hood for the first couple years of her life, and everything after that has been glitz and glamour for her, so I know that my daughter is over there right now having a fit because she doesn’t have either of her parents there to protect her. I’m willing to risk my freedom tonight when it’s time for the drop if something has happened to my baby. Lord knows that I wouldn’t be able to just walk away and hand over the money if I were to look at my daughter all battered and bruised. As a father, it’s shit that I wouldn’t be able to let go of, off the strength of my pride.
Right now, Quay and I were in my Ferrari, leaving an appearance that I just made in Orlando, Florida. Quay was behind the wheel going about 90 miles per hour, so hopefully we would be back in Miami within another hour or two.
“She still not answering the phone, man?” Quay asked me as he went around a silver Nissan Altima in front of him because they were driving way too damn slow.
“Naw, man. I been calling her ass for a whole hour now. I don’t know if somebody snatched her ass up or if she too damn scared to answer her phone because she knows that I’m going to get in her ass about this dumb ass move she just made,” I told Quay, referring to Charlie.
I was still in a state of shock that Charlie would even let our daughter go to another person’s house without consulting me first. I don’t know if she felt like it wasn’t important to tell me since I wasn’t in town or what, but that move was just too fuckin stupid. If something happens to our daughter, I don’t know if I will ever be able to forgive Charlie for that shit.
I set the phone down in my lap and decided that I was going to give it a couple more
minutes before I decided to call her back again. Right when I was about to dial her number up, my phone started to ring and it was Charlie calling.
“Where the fuck are you, Charlie? And why am I hunting your ass down just to get in contact with you? Did you not hear what I told you over the phone?” I barked, referring to me telling her about the kidnapping of our daughter.
“Umm, hello, Mr. Williams. This is nurse Jackie and I’m calling from Memorial hospital. Charlie was brought into the emergency room a little while ago. The EMT gave me her phone, and you are listed as her emergency contact. Charlie has had an accident and we need you to come here as soon as possible,” the nurse said.
“In the hospital for what? What the hell is wrong with my wife?” I barked.
“Sir, please calm down. Mrs. Williams seems to have fallen down a flight of stairs, and—”
“She what? Man, this is some bullshit, yo! Did she fall down or did a motha fucka push her down?” I yelled into the phone. What the hell did I do to deserve all of this bad luck today?
“Mr. Williams, as I said, she is now in Memorial hospital and when you get here, I’ll be here. See you then,” she said and hung up the phone.
I didn’t even blame her for hanging up. I knew I was taking my anger out on her because of the amount of stress that I was under right now.
“Before we swing by the crib to get the money, drop me off to Memorial hospital, man. That was them just calling to let me know that Charlie is in there for falling down the stairs.” I reached into the cup holder to get me a blunt started. The way I was feeling right now, I needed something very strong that would prevent me from killing a bitch.
“I don’t even want to jinx this shit or talk it into existence, but Charlie is pregnant, man. What if something happens to the baby, man? That shit will kill me and her. And then I got this shit going on with Chantel, not knowing if that’s my child that she’s carrying or not. Can you imagine this shit? Charlie loses my seed and Chantel has mine. There’s no doubt in my mind that Charlie will kill my ass, Chantel, and the damn baby,” I told Quay.
