“I’m- I’m a-a-about to come,” he stammered through heavy breaths and moans.

She paused for a second to weigh her options before deciding it would be easier, and quite frankly hotter, to let him finish in her mouth. She kept on going until it felt like she was milking him and the warm load spurted from his tip and traveled straight down her throat. She took it in and gulped with her eyes shut like she was enjoying the world’s tastiest treat for the last time in her life.

  Chapter Seven

The two of them walked back into the house before awkwardly realizing going in together after having disappeared would raise questions. Before any discussion could take place, Jenna darted off to the den where Tara, Harrison, and Cole sat talking.

“I hope everything’s all right,” Tara said in concern as soon as she saw Jenna.

Jenna smiled and nodded before sitting at the edge of the couch. Nothing had come of the phone call but they did not know that; she saw no reason why they had to be any wiser about what had really happened out on the back patio. She looked around nervously waiting for Michael to return but she did not even hear distant footsteps. Then it dawned on her that this was her perfect out.

“I’m sorry to spoil such a lovely evening,” Jenna suddenly said. She had interrupted the conversation of the other three without noticing but it was really of no consequence to her. “I do have to get going,” she announced before standing up and slinging her purse strap over her shoulder. Tara bustled to the kitchen for the slice of pie she’d packed, Cole politely said goodbye, and Harrison insisted on walking her out to her car.

“Seems like you and Michael finally got on,” Harrison commented after he’d closed the front door. Jenna coughed but did not reply. He had no idea just how well they had ended up getting on a few short minutes ago. She felt her cheeks burning again and was thankful Harrison was unlikely to notice her face turning red due to how dark out it was. He then made a noise that sounded like laughter and disapproval in one. “He got the car,” Harrison remarked.

Jenna looked over at the car she’d seen Michael step out of earlier and rolled her eyes. It was a very nice car, to be sure, but it was just so flashy and really spoke to the image of Michael she’d built up in her head. Suddenly what had happened out on the patio felt like it had happened with a completely different person. Her stomach clenched. What the heck had she been thinking? It was bad enough she’d actually gone for it with someone who had turned her off so much due to arrogance, but she had given him pleasure without strings. He had not even had to do anything in return for her. It was like she had just told him he was enough to fulfill her by tasting him. She groaned in disappointment and Harrison turned to look at her.

“What was that about,” he muttered. He was inquisitive and she knew he meant no harm but there was a prickling sensation at the back of her neck she could not shake. Jenna was not particularly keen on discussing Michael any further. She was also not thrilled about the idea of him walking out of the house and making the already awkward situation even worse for her.

“I should really get going,” Jenna said hastily, jingling her keys before unlocking her car. She turned to face Harrison and, with a small smile, she told him, “Thanks for a lovely evening.” Before he could say anything more, she got into her car and closed the door. There was no delay in her turning the car on and pulling out of the driveway but when she was about one block down, she did pull over to catch her breath.

Jenna gripped the steering wheel tightly and took deep breaths, eventually shutting her eyes. There was no way Michael had the control. Although there was a chance she had unnecessarily boosted his already too-large ego, it had not been her intention at all. Jenna reminded herself she had wanted to go there with him. She had desired to feel and taste him and while she was doing it, every moment of it had been enjoyable. The truth was she had derived a lot of her own pleasure from the situation so that was what she had to focus on. Jenna blasted her favorite songs as she sped home. When she arrived, she plunked down on her couch and happily at the pecan pie Tara had thoughtfully packed for her. It was just as delicious as she’d remembered it– and, well, it was important to savor everything she could.

She stood leaning against the cool refrigerator door, lost in thought. She could not quite figure out what had come over her when she’d been on the back patio with Michael. Through the course of the evening Jenna had discovered he could be interesting and even charming. There was no denying he was insanely physically attractive, with his hazel eyes, dark brown hair, and golden skin all in a tall and muscular package. He was just the right amount of muscular, too. Jenna bit her lower lip and shut her eyes, remembering how it was to be on her knees in front of him earlier that night.

She felt something drop to the pit of her stomach. Jenna did not want to regret what had happened but her need to stay in control was strong. “That’s it,” she muttered, standing up straight. Standing in her kitchen and pushing away the memory of Michael in her mouth, the sounds of his pleasure invading her ears, she decided nothing more would happen. She would not allow it. It had been a one-time thing and, sure, it had been enjoyable but that was all. There was no way she would allow him to play her like he probably had countless other women. In fact, she would not allow him to even think about it.

The following morning Jenna woke up about thirty minutes earlier than the time she’d set her alarm. She sighed and turned to look out the window noting it was an overcast day. After stretching in bed, she climbed out and pulled together a quick outfit before hopping in the shower and allowing her mind to wander for a bit as she lathered her hair. It was just for a few moments but she pictured Michael pushing her up against the wall, his hand running up her leg under the hem of her skirt. It was not until she felt her own hand running over her center that she snapped her eyes wide open and gasped. “No,” she told herself firmly. Even if it was only in fantasy she did not want to give into her inexplicable desires. Whatever it was that had happened with Michael was a one-time deal.

That did not, however, keep her from talking about it to Kelly once she got off work. The one thing she was careful to avoid was telling Kelly about dropping to her knees and taking Michael’s erection in her mouth until he came and she swallowed every last drop. No doubt Kelly would have made a field day out of it.

“So you’re not going see him again,” Kelly concluded.

“Well, I’m going to see him again. We have mutual friends,” she said.

Kelly gave her a reproving look, holding back from rolling her eyes. “You know what I meant,” she said dryly.

Jenna flashed a fake grin and shrugged before muttering something about having to run an important errand. She regretted bringing it up now; what she’d hoped would give her some peace only made things worse.

“You can run away from this conversation,” Kelly warned, “But if there’s something more you don’t want to admit, it will rear its ugly head at some point.”

Jenna sighed and waved goodbye, heading home to get some rest.

The following morning, she walked out to the seating area of the restaurant only to find Michael, Harrison, and a woman in her 50s seated at one of her tables. Jenna froze. There was no way to avoid them but judging from the looks of things they were having a business meal and that offered her the small consolation she might not have to socialize with them much. Taking a deep breath, Jenna walked over to them with her signature work-friendly smile. “Good morning,” she greeted.

“Jenna!” Harrison was grinning and Michael was looking at her with his ever-present smirk. Before having enough time to appropriately process he was not actually looking at her like a trophy or anything remotely related to what had happened between them, Harrison continued talking. “I’m so glad we have you again. This is Caroline Prewitt, one of the higher-level executives in Michael’s company. Guess what? I’ve been officially hired!”

“Congratulations,” Jenna told him with a smile before turning to greet Caroline.
“It’s lovely to meet you.” The woman smiled before taking to her menu, all the while Michael staring Jenna down like it might be the last time he ever laid eyes on her. His smirk grew. She gulped.

“What’s the most delicious thing to have here?” Michael asked quietly. Just like it had been when she first met him, his tone of voice was highly suggestive.

Jenna, however, refused to play into it. “The Brioche French Toast is extremely popular,” she replied simply and professionally.

  “Do you like it?”

Jenna paused and stared into his eyes trying to search for something, anything, but he was just being his regular self. There was not even a hint of what had gone down between them– or rather that she’d gone down on him. “I’ve never had it,” Jenna said honestly.

Michael quirked his brow and lowered his eyes to the menu without another word, leaving Jenna to stand in front of them awkwardly unsure if she was supposed to wait a bit longer or was free to walk away. After what felt like an hour of silence she slowly made turn and walk away but he stopped her. “What is your favorite?”

Jenna stayed rooted to the spot but didn’t immediately turn to look at him. She looked over her shoulder and licked her lower lip before saying, “Eggs Florentine.”

  “I’ve had that,” he stated.

“Yes, yes you have,” she replied quickly. That was when both Harrison and Caroline looked up and glanced at the two of them, clearly curious about the exchange going on.

“I’m not sure what’s going on here,” Harrison muttered cautiously.

Caroline Prewitt laughed, taking Jenna completely by surprise though it paled to what she said next. “Isn’t it obvious? He’s trying to toy with the poor girl. He is Michael Black.”

Jenna stared at Caroline in shock, unable to find a suitable response and her legs unwilling to move and carry her away from the increasingly awkward situation. Michael chuckled before leaning back in his chair, arms crossed, to appraise Jenna. She straightened up and looked around before asking, “Would you like to start with drinks? Are you ready to order?”

Harrison quickly ordered three coffees and she rushed off to get them, thankful for the sanctuary of being behind the wall and away from even their field of vision. She leaned back and took three deep breaths before heading toward the kitchen area. She still felt flustered and Mac picked up on it as soon as he saw her.

“So your boyfriend showed up today,” Mac commented blandly.

Jenna shot him a glare before going into a small coughing fit. “He is not my boyfriend,” she grumbled before cleaning her throat and leaning forward to add, “But yes, he’s here.”

Mac let out a long, sardonic laugh as he shook his head. “Get it together, girl.”

“There’s nothing to get together, much less anyone to get it together for,” she griped.

“Sure,” he responded sounding as bored as ever.

Jenna rolled her eyes but then looked down at her shoes. She was fidgeting and that only meant one thing– she was nervous and confused. She did not want to say it out loud because it made it real, too real for her taste, but it was the only way to deal with it. “Look,” she started but then promptly clamped her mouth shut.

Mac set down his spatula and turned to look at her. He cocked his brow and said, “What? Just come out and say it.”

Mac had an inkling what was on her mind even if she did not want to admit it to herself. “I just don’t know,” she complained. “I’m so confused because of him and I don’t get it.”

“You’re not confused because of him. You’re confused over him,” Mac corrected.

  Chapter Eight

It was a Friday afternoon and Jenna had just thrown together a last minute picnic for herself when her phone rang. She glanced over at the kitchen counter, where she had left it as it charged, to see Tara’s name on the screen. Jenna paused; it was usually Harrison who contacted her. Although Jenna got along quite well with Tara there was no doubt her friend was Harrison and she’d befriended his wife by default. It was not until after she’d accepted the call it dawned on her there was a possibility it could be an invite and one of the invitees would be Michael.

“So glad to catch you,” came in Tara’s ever-chipper voice. “I know this is entirely last minute but we’re having a little celebration for Harrison and we sure would love it if you could join us!”

Jenna could hear the anticipation in Tara’s voice and instantly she got a mental image of her sitting, quite literally, on the edge of her seat. She could even see her pretty blonde hair pulled into a cute bun and her big eyes wide with hope. It was really quite a cute picture but Jenna had to take a moment to think about it. She knew she could not avoid Michael forever, not if she wanted to keep Harrison as a friend anyway, but did not know how to act around him. Then she recalled he’d acted like nothing had even happened back at the restaurant so she made a snap decision.

“I’d love to go,” Jenna responded, sounding a bit more sugary than usual.

“Oh! Yay! I’m so happy and I just know Harrison will be thrilled!”

With that they ended the call and Jenna awaited the text message with the details. She sat on the arm of her couch and tapped her phone’s screen, spacing out at the wall. Her thoughts began to pick up speed; Michael had been on a business meal at the restaurant so of course he wouldn’t have made any mention or even subtle hint about what had happened. She was not sure if he would do it in a social setting where Harrison was present but it would not exactly surprise her given how overt he tended to be. Then Jenna jumped up abruptly. “He better not,” she muttered as the scenario of him requesting another encounter with her played out in her mind. She suddenly felt angry as if it had already happened, as if he’d already demonstrated the gall of actually asking her to go down on him again. Jenna reminded herself of her resolution and charged into the bedroom to pick out an outfit.

It was almost without a second thought she picked out a silk blouse that clung tantalizingly to her very large, DD-cup breasts and showed off ample cleavage. It was one of her party shirts but this time at the very back of her mind she’d had a very specific reason for picking it out. She pulled on tight black slacks that hugged her thick thighs in the most flattering way and slipped on a pair of black pumps to match. She stared in the mirror fussing over whether or not to wear her hair up or down and it was not until she thought she’d feel sexier with loose hair that she pulled it back into an effortless high-ponytail.

“I refuse to be sexy for him,” Jenna muttered to her own reflection.

Jenna spent the entire cab ride over to Harrison’s house dreading seeing Michael more and more. It was not just that she had no clue how to act around him, feeling even more confused after seeing him at the restaurant; Jenna did not want to risk falling for the wrong guy again. The fact it was even a concern she now had made her stomach coil uncomfortably. Everything about Michael Black was dangerous, from his obvious wealth to his playboy attitude and especially down to his strange ability to come through as interesting against all odds. It was disarming, really. The cab pulled up in front of Harrison’s driveway and it was not until she handed the driver the fare that she realized she was a bit shaky.

Adjusting her top, she made her way up the walkway when the door swung open before she even had a chance to knock.

“Hello there,” Michael greeted in a low, husky tone that almost made Jenna forget all about her resolution to keep away from him. She wanted to push away the attraction toward him but the small smirk tugging at the corner of his lips and the glint in his eye made it near impossible. There was something about him whether she liked to admit it or not.

“Hello,” came her rather terse greeting.

Michael looked up at the sky before glancing back at her and stepping aside for her to enter the house. Just as Jenna crossed the threshold he shifted so that her arm grazed his chest. Jenna could not help pausing but quickly moved forward, trying to act like nothing had happened. She heard the door
close behind her but Michael did not appear; instead she felt him inches behind her, so close they were almost touching.

  “Nice shirt,” he complimented suggestively.

Jenna held her breath and took a couple steps forward to make sure he could no longer stare right down her cleavage. Nothing about his behavior was different considering he’d come in her mouth last time they were at Harrison’s together and it was precisely that she did not know how to handle. On the one hand, it was a relief he was not expecting or asking for anything more. On the other hand, it was just so odd to her that it might as well have never happened by the way he behaved. Was he being considerate or was he being a jerk?

Then she felt his hand lightly touch on the small of her back as he said, “Everyone is in the den. Shall we head over?”

He removed his hand just as quickly as he had placed it on her and stepped forward with a smile. Jenna looked at him briefly before heading toward the den, where she was greeted with a lot of joy and excitement. It was obvious that Harrison and Tara were even perkier than usual and it helped somewhat ease Jenna.

“Congratulations,” she told Harrison as he pulled her into a hug. Tara bounded up and pulled her into a tight hug as well, excitedly saying something about how wonderful everything was even though the move had been a big decision.

“I’m so happy you’re here, Jenna! This is just swell,” Tara went on with a huge grin. It was not long before little Fay made an appearance, dressed in what looked like a princess costume, and she trotted about the room happily. Michael swept her up and she giggled loudly. Jenna could not help watching him; there were so many sides to the man she wondered if he was even the same person. She was curious on what else there was to discover about him.
