“Are you taking a break, Ruger?” Spencer asked.

  “Yep,” Ruger answered. “Now strip.”

Spencer made a big show of frowning and rubbing his arms. “It’s getting cooler out here every day. I don’t know if taking my clothes off is such a good idea.”

Rugger shook the blanket out until it lay flat on the ground before throwing the tube of slick near the corner. They had gone into the clinic and had the tests done. Condoms were now a thing of the past.

“Baby, are you really going to give me a hard time for wanting a piece of your sweet ass?” Ruger asked, taking a step closer to Spencer.

“So you think my ass is sweet, Ruger?” Spencer batted his pretty green eyes. Thank goodness the man had started unbuttoning his flannel shirt, before finally pulling it and his T-shirt off.

By the time Spencer had the rest of his clothes off, Ruger was naked and pulling the man down onto the blanket.

“I think everything about you is sweet,” Ruger informed him.

A fingertip traced down Ruger’s nose. “You’d better be careful, Mr. Black. Your old unit and the new team will think you’re getting soft if they heard you talk like that,” Spencer teased.

Ruger lifted Spencer’s leg and bent his knee before pushing it up against his chest. This opened Spencer up so Ruger could get down to the business of putting his cock where it wanted to be.

“Have you ever heard all the mushy crap those guys say to their partners? You could get a cavity from some of that stuff.” Ruger pushed a finger inside Spencer’s hole, loving how the muscles clung.

Spencer gasped when he added another finger. “Ruger, I need…” he pleaded.

Ruger’s cock jerked at Spencer’s words. Pulling his fingers free, Ruger kneeled up and coated his cock with lube. Once he finished, he leaned over Spencer and guided his cock to his lover’s hole.

“Push out, baby,” he said. Ruger pressed his cock into Spencer’s body, not stopping until his balls brushed against the soft skin of Spencer’s ass.

“Shit, you’re big,” Spencer breathed out.

“Is it too much, baby?” he asked.

  “Give me a second.”

Ruger dipped his head down and started licking one of Spencer’s nipples. He proceeded to bat it with his tongue before taking it between his teeth.

Spencer’s hips started bucking up. Ruger leaned back a little and let Spencer ride his cock.

Ruger sucked Spencer’s nipple in deep before letting it go with a pop. Looking into Spencer’s green eyes, Ruger said, “I love you.”

His words had Spencer’s eyes widening and his mouth dropping open. Ruger took advantage of Spencer’s shock by grabbing his hips and pulling them close. Ruger plunged into Spencer and started thrusting deep.

Spencer reached between them and wrapped his hand around his dick.

“Ruger, ah…” Spencer said before cum flooded over his hand.

Muscles throbbed around Ruger’s cock, triggering his own orgasm. A groan escaped, and Ruger sank into the pleasure of Spencer’s body. Hot cum made the velvety cavern a paradise that Ruger didn’t want to leave. After a while, his sharp thrusts turned into easy slides.

“I love you too, you know.” Spencer buried his fingers in Ruger’s hair.

“I know,” Ruger responded. For Ruger, Spencer’s love had never been in question.

Spencer pressed his finger against Ruger’s lips. “Do you have to go back to Cade’s, or are you mine for the rest of the afternoon?”

Ruger turned Spencer’s left hand until he could suck on the ring finger. A tattoo of commitment encircled that finger. Ruger had a matching black band tattooed on his own. Treble was the one who had told Ruger about Rescue for Hire’s tradition of tattooed commitment rings. Ruger had liked the idea of a permanent commitment with Spencer so much, he had taken him to the tattoo shop the same day.

“Unless there’s a rescue or a training seminar, I’ll be with you and out in the woods. That’s the agreement Cade and I came to.” After helping the team rescue the children of Granite City, Ruger had accepted Cade’s offer of employment as a member of Rescue for Hire and managing the forests. One soothed his conscience and one soothed his soul.

Spencer teased Ruger all the time now, telling him he was no longer a reluctant rescuer. And that was just fine with Ruger.

  Epilogue

Cade Miller lifted the glass to his lips. A delicious slow burn and rich, smoky flavor accompanied every sip of the expensive whisky.

He watched the man he had come looking for move a large stack of chips forward. Minutes later, groans echoed around the table. Roman Marshall smiled and pulled an array of multi-colored chips back in front of him.

Roman knew Cade was here. The man’s glance had settled on him a time or two. They had a meeting scheduled in an hour at the upscale restaurant situated in the basement of the casino. Roman had spent two months working with Cade’s Rescue for Hire team back in Granite County. After another month of negotiations back and forth, by e-mail and Skype, they were close to an agreement. If things went well, by the end of the evening, Cade may have a new employee and maybe so much more.

Men like Roman were few and far between. They lived their life by their own set of rules and few could detour them from their chosen path. Intelligent, athletic, and deadly, combined with imperial leadership qualities, was what Cade had found in Roman. It was a good thing Roman was fighting for the good side, because if he switched over to evil, Cade didn’t know how anyone would stop him.

Cade was the owner of a company who rescued people. He employed men who excelled in their field of specialty. Together they formed a team who went out and found missing persons, weather-related victims, or people caught up in dangerous situations. Families hired Cade’s team to find loved ones. Townships hired them to help with disasters. His guys did what needed to be done to help people. And they were a close-knit family.

Now Cade was setting up a new division of Rescue for Hire in east central Nevada. Cade’s original company in the Midwest had five members, although they had added a few more over the years. This branch was starting out with eight. That is if Roman agreed to manage it and be the leader of the team. It had taken Cade months of hard work and plans to get to this point. One last hurdle remained to be conquered, and Cade would have a new company called Rescue for Hire West.
