The Secret Wolf (A Full Moon Mercy Novel) (shifter / MC romance) Page 11

by Ana W. Fawkes

Lucas took her to her bed and placed her down. As he stood over her, staring at her, he felt the hunger rising to an uncontrollable level. When Leah propped herself up on her elbows, Lucas thought he was going to shift and jump through the window. He needed to seek relief. He needed to taste…

“I need you,” he growled and fell to his knees.

Leah watched with her eyes and mouth opened. Lucas worked fast because he had to. Time was wasting and the urge was getting worse by the second. At Leah’s jeans, he grabbed and pulled, breaking the metal button off like it were paper. His hands gripped the sides of her jeans and pulled, forcing Leah to hang on for dear life as her pants were stripped off her body and thrown across the room.

  “Lucas…”

  “No,” Lucas said.

He placed his hands to Leah’s body, between her legs, feeling the warmth through her panties. He made circles with his thumbs, feeling the softness of her skin under her panties. Leah thrust up and groaned.

Lucas tore Leah’s panties from her. They ripped and dangled down on her right ankle. Lucas had no care of her panties though. He touched the inside of her knees and gently pushed, opening her legs wide. The sight of moist folds made his mouth water. He came forward and stopped with an inch separating him between his hunger and Leah’s need. Lucas slid his hands along her inner thighs, feeling muscle and silky skin. He reminded himself that Leah was human. She could feel pain Lucas couldn’t as a beast. She could be pleasured and hurt. He would need to control himself to a point…

Lucas came forward and inhaled the sweet scent of Leah's body. He rubbed the tip of his nose against the the hardness of her delicate clitoris. Leah jumped and cried out. Lucas gripped Leah’s inner thighs tighter, holding her in place. This wasn’t about Leah coming, this was about Lucas satisfying his hunger.

With the tip of his tongue, Lucas sliced between her folds, lapping at her, tasting her, allow the tip of his tongue to test the tightness of her body. Leah was everything beautiful and perfect, erotic and exotic yet so normal and human at the same time. It drove Lucas mad like no woman before.

As he tasted Leah, he suckled her, testing her. When Leah thrust and moaned, gripping the bed sheets, trying to say she was going to come already, Lucas gently nibbled at her clit. That made Leah’s body quiver. She had her back arched and with a shaky right hand, she grabbed Lucas by his hair and pulled him tight to her body. Lucas had no objections, circling his tongue, darting it in and out, moving it faster than he was sure Leah had ever felt before. His tongue could be anywhere and everywhere at the same time, ensuring her body would feel everything she wanted and needed.

Lucas slipped his hand around Leah’s legs to her ass, cupping her, holding her off the bed. Leah let out a cry and began to rock her hips harder and faster. Something else Leah didn’t know was that Lucas could hold his breath for minutes. It allowed him to literally bury himself in his erotic work, tasting Leah, and when he did need to take a breath, he allowed the scent of Leah’s body into his body, making it a memory for the rest of his life, as man and as beast. It meant that if Leah was ever turned on, Lucas would know. It also meant Lucas would know about any other man in Leah’s life.

But that was something Lucas never wanted to experience.

There was no other man, and if Lucas had his way, there never would be.

Lucas’s large hands gripped at Leah’s hips, his thumbs rolling up and back along her hip bone, teasing her, keeping her thrusting. The wetness poured from Leah’s body, but Lucas knew she wasn’t done yet. The tip of his tongue gently opened her center again and as he let himself inside, he felt her throbbing.

  She was so close.

  So very, very close.

Leah dug her nails into Lucas’s hair and head and Lucas loved it. There was animal like feel about it. It was passionate and even a little cute how Leah tried so hard to hurt Lucas but just couldn’t.

“Oh, Lucas,” Leah managed to say.

Lucas stayed fast and hard, not giving up until he had her orgasm.

  “I’m…”

Lucas hurried and slid his hands up Leah's body. His fingers were fast and strong, cutting under her bra, his hands cupping her breasts. Leah gasped and Lucas squeezed tighter. Using his right hand Lucas brought his fingers together, holding Leah’s nipple. He teased and pulled, feeling the way Leah jumped with the slight stings of pain.

That’s when she began to come.

The throbbing between her legs became faster and tighter, her walls desperate for release. Lucas’s tongue was right there to have it all and to work Leah through the intense orgasm. Each time she tried to make a sound, it came out as a whimpering moan. It was exactly what Lucas wanted her to experience.

This was true pleasure. This was true care. This was the focus of Leah’s pleasure and the desire of Lucas to calm his hunger.

Lucas slowly brought his hands back down Leah’s body, fingers spread wide, feeling all of her perfect, delicate skin. He marveled at her as he removed his mouth from her body. Everything about Leah was so gentle and beautiful, just the way she was so fragile as a human. From the physical sense to the emotional sense, it was overwhelming to watch. Leah looked at him with her face red, her mouth open, her breathing heavy. They stared at other and Lucas knew exactly what he was doing and what was happening.

They were connecting on a deeper level. A level that went further than emotions and even sexual needs. It was a level that was so deep and instinctive not many humans had the chance to experience it.

“Tell me,” Lucas whispered. “Tell me everything you’re feeling.”

Leah’s body shivered. Her legs were still spread. Any attempt at being shy was long gone. Leah reached down with her left hand and placed her index finger to herself, right between her folds. She pressed and slid up, then turned her finger around. Lucas looked at Leah's finger, the glistening look making him hungry again.

  “I never,” Leah whispered. “I mean, I’ve never…”

  Her chin quivered.

“Never what? Never had a man taste you?”

Leah shook her head. “Not that. I’ve never finished before…”

“You’ve never had an orgasm?” Lucas asked.

Leah swallowed. “Lucas, I think… no, I need you inside me.”

“Of course you do,” Lucas said. He smiled. That was something he hoped to hear soon enough.

Lucas stood and stepped to the bed. He lowered himself, pressing his clothed body against Leah’s nude lower half. He hovered over her and looked into her eyes.

  “Kiss me,” she said.

“You know where I just was…”

“I want to taste you, me, everything.”

The shy woman was suddenly a vixen. Lucas pressed his lips to Leah’s and she was the one who opened her mouth in a hurry, her tongue darting at Lucas’s mouth. He gave her what she wanted as they began to kiss. The warmth of Leah's mouth was almost the same as the warmth of her sex. Lucas’s mind still spun, his hunger only suppressed for the moment.

Leah hurried and touched Lucas between his legs. She cupped him, Lucas thickening and throbbing. He wanted out of his pants and into Leah. Again, he reminded himself that she was human and that he cared for her. He would need to be gentle with Leah, wanting to love her on top of pleasuring her.

As Leah pulled at Lucas’s belt, his cell phone began to ring.

  “Fuck no,” Lucas said.

Leah froze, her small hand around the large belt buckle. “Did you need to take that?”

“Of course I do,” Lucas said.

Lucas pushed from the bed with a growl. Looking at Leah was enough to make him want to throw his cell phone against the wall and lose himself for the night. But he’d already caused enough problems by going up to the mountain with Leah alone.

  The call was from Ian.

  “Ian, what’s wrong?” Lucas asked.

“Problem,” Ian said, his voice shaking.

“What kind of problem? Is someone hurt?”<
br />
“They will be,” Ian said. “I think Cooper is losing his fucking mind.”

  “Shit,” Lucas said.

He ended the call and went to work. He pointed at Leah.

“Baby, get dressed. I’m sorry. We have to go. Something’s wrong.”

Leah hurried from the bed without question. She dressed and once they were at the front door, Lucas grabbed her arm.

“I need you to just stay on the motorcycle. Don’t do anything stupid.”

“I never would,” Leah said. “I swear.”

Lucas kissed Leah. “I trust you.”

Lucas rushed to the motorcycle with Leah behind him.

I think Cooper is losing his fucking mind…

Lucas shook his head. Of course Cooper was losing his fucking mind. Cooper was hungry. Lucas just hoped he could get there in time before something bad happened.

  18

Cooper barely gave Ian a chance to think about what he had just said before he was out the door and taking the steps three at a time. Ian caught sight of Vince who hurried him along with a hand gesture. Ian stormed after Cooper and caught up just as Cooper was ready to start his motorcycle.

"Slow it, bro," Ian said. "What's going on?"

"Got a call," Cooper said. "We get to rough someone up."

  "Vince said so?"

"He talked to Chief Charlie," Cooper said. "There's a guy named Lio selling from an alley behind the restaurants."

  "Selling?"

"Drugs, bro," Cooper said with a big smile on his face. "His old man is hooked up through some business deal up in Creighford. Chief's had a bit of a time really pinning the guy down and making a case."

"So we get to go after him?" Ian asked.

"That's right. We're going to get him and take him out into the back of Mercy and do him in. Make him disappear. He'll be out of everyone's way then for good."

"You look excited for this," Ian said.

Cooper didn't respond. He started his motorcycle.

It was pretty obvious this was a favor of a favor. Chief wanted this Lio guy off the streets of Mercy and Cooper needed to get rid of some pent up urges inside himself. And it just so happened that Ian was the lucky guy to get picked to babysit Cooper.

Ian trailed behind Cooper in a black car, giving Cooper the sense and thrill of the hunt. His senses were certainly in overdrive by then, smelling the air, picking up the scent of Lio, and then thinking about how to get him.

They needed the car to have a way to transport the body.

A few minutes later, Cooper pulled to the side of the road and motioned for Ian.

"What's the plan?" Ian asked as he put his feet to the ground.

"Get up on him and make like we're buying."

  "He'll call bluff," Ian said.

  "He will."

  "He'll fight back then."

  "That's the plan," Cooper said.

He rode again and it left Ian feeling uneasy. The last thing anyone needed was direct conflict in Mercy and involving Full Moon Mercy. This thing could easily get out of hand and Ian knew he had to keep it under control. Or at least try his best.

When he caught up to Cooper again, they were an alley. Right ahead, maybe fifty feet, stood what had to be Lio. He looked greasy and high, hands in his pockets, looking around. A woman stood in front of him and for a second Ian thought she was going to drop to her knees. Now that would have been an interesting show. Instead, the woman dug in a small handbag for money and Lio produced a small bag. The transaction was quick and sloppy, something a cop could probably pick up on from a mile away.

Cooper continued forward and then turned. He killed the engine, climbed from the bike, and walked like every muscle in his body was flexed. He put a hand down and signaled to Ian to hang back. Ian had no intention of getting in the way of Cooper and what he felt needed to be done. Ian just hoped Cooper could find a way to do this quick so they could load the body into the trunk and get it the hell out of public view.

"What's up?" Cooper called out to Lio.

Lio faced Cooper and without hesitation, he pulled a gun and pointed it at Cooper.

"Fuck off, biker boy," Lio called out.

"No, man, it's all good. I'm looking to score."

"No you're not. That shit head chief sent you here. What are you going to do, threaten me? I'll put a fucking bullet in your head."

Cooper took his helmet off and dropped it the ground. "Take a shot."

"Shit," Ian whispered. "Just knock him out."

Lio lifted the gun higher. It was shaking. Lio was afraid. He probably wouldn't shoot, and even if he did, the shot would probably be random and miss Cooper.

"I'm looking for something you have," Cooper said.

  Cooper’s shoulders looked wider.

  Was he shifting?

He looked damn close to it and it had Ian very nervous.

Ian had his cell phone in his hand to call for help. He could only help Cooper so much, and if things got out of control and Cooper shifted, what the hell would the town of Mercy think if they heard of a massive wolf eating someone?

Ian honked the horn and Cooper waved. He wasn't going to be bothered. This was about the hunt. Cooper had his prey in sight.

  "Shit," Ian said again.

Cooper walked up to the gun and put his hand over it. "Selling dope in Mercy is risky."

"Thought you wanted some," Lio said.

"I said you had something I wanted. Not dope."

"Then what the fuck do you want, asshole?"

  "Blood."

Cooper threw his head forward. The sickening thud of his heavier skull smashing against Lio's skull was enough to make Ian cringe. Lio stumbled back and started to pull the trigger. The gun went off again and again and again. A bullet hit the windshield of the car but didn't go all the way through. Ian saw Cooper's right shoulder fly back, but he kept advancing on Lio. Cooper had been shot and didn't care.

  This was bad.

Cooper was walking the fine line between man and beast. And if Cooper shifted right now...

Ian hurried and dialed for Lucas.

I think Cooper is losing his fucking mind.

Lucas luckily picked up and he would be on his way. That left Ian no choice but to exit the car and try to diffuse the situation before it got even more out of control. He needed Lucas there to calm Cooper down. They could knock Lio out and take him wherever Cooper wanted. Let Cooper do what he needed.

As Ian walked toward the scene he tried to keep calm and collected. If he showed fear near either Lio or Cooper, things could get even worse. He didn’t want to make this look like a setup but part of Ian already knew that cover had been blown.

Lio had his back to a brick wall, blooding running down his forehead. He held the gun out and continued to pull the trigger. The gun clicked over and over, the look in Lio’s eyes praying that there would somehow be one more bullet in the gun to shoot and tear through Cooper’s head.

Cooper stood with his hands in fists. He stepped at Lio just as Ian stepped next to him.

  “Don’t,” Cooper growled.

“I’m just here for support, bro,” Ian said. “You know what we need to do here. Let’s get it done and then you can…”

Cooper jumped forward. He must have jumped at least five feet straight from the ground. Ian watched in awe, expecting Cooper to shift. But he didn’t. He remained as human, landing an inch from Lio. His elbow hit Lio’s wrist, knocking the gun out of his hand and snapping his wrist, breaking it.

Lio let out a cry and when he tried to move Cooper had his hand to Lio’s throat, holding him up, steady, and against the wall.

“Where’s your other hand?” Cooper asked. “What are you trying to hide?”

“I can do what I want,” Lio said, “in this town.”

“You’re wrong,” Ian said. “You’re so wrong. This town isn’t made for this kind of shit.”

“You people are murderers,” Lio said. “You bully and kill people. Not anymore.”
<
br />   Lio smiled as a skinny stream of blood ran to the tip of his nose. That’s when Ian could sense something. The air felt a little off. He sniffed and looked, smelling and seeing nothing out of the ordinary. Cooper, preoccupied with the prey in front of him, leaned in and flicked the tip of his tongue to Lio’s nose, sampling the blood.

“Show me your other hand,” Cooper said. “Or I’m going to bite your fucking throat out.”

“Cool it, my man,” Lio said with a sense of confidence that bothered Ian.

It should have bothered Cooper too, but his focus was on nothing but tasting Lio’s flesh, blood, and feeding that craving deep within his soul. That’s why Ian had been selected to come with Cooper.

Lio brought his other hand from behind his back. When he opened his hand and showed the cell phone, Ian sighed and shook his head. Cooper knocked the phone out of his hand and stepped on it, crushing it.

Ian knew better, the damage had been done. Lio had made a call. Before Ian could attempt to think of a plan to keep the people of Mercy safe, along with himself and a wild Cooper safe, a black car skidded and started to come down the alley. A gun was pointed from the driver’s side, bullets flying.

Ian hit the ground and watched as Cooper brought Lio from the wall and slammed him against it. Lio let out a cry and started to swing at Cooper desperate to be free. While a punch wasn’t connected from Lio to Cooper, Cooper still let him go. That’s when Cooper lunged forward into the air, shifting into a wolf and crashing down to the hood of the car with such force that it stopped the car dead in its tracks. The back end of the car lifted off the ground and flipped over. On its roof, Cooper stood as a massive, hungry, beast looking at Lio.

Lio was on his back, shaking, fumbling with his gun and loading more bullets.

Ian lay on his stomach, ready to push himself back to his feet, but what the hell was he going to do?

Cooper let out a deep growl as he stood on the car. The driver started to pull himself from the car. He was slow, shaky, and bloody. Cooper threw his head back and Ian hoped he wasn’t going to make a spectacle of himself by howling like a werewolf. The call would sound for at least a mile, if not longer.
