by Mona Calhoun
Maverick represents them; Mrs. Calhoun is lead rep to their family. While the children take their seats. Jnanson takes hers at the judge's seat. Mona and Mrs. Calhoun's hearts start beating faster as they finally get to see her again, she use to be Nicky’s lover back in the colony. She could almost taste her. Mona feels her wife's emotions as it tantalizes her. Six years, she had a crush on her, and her lover for four more. Her fist love is hard to forget as her desires remained.
Residing judges: Judge James Harkin, Timathy Jamison, Tec Mohr, Burk Biemich, Captain Janeway, Enforcer Jnanson, and Judge Sara Hedrik. State Attorney David Coman
Mona watches her as Mrs. Calhoun sees it for herself. The courts wouldn't object with her so boldly showing up with no clothes, just like the enforcers. Mona watches, conflicted.
The Gavel sounds as the officers takes 2 steps forward.
Court Officer Brian Omalie: Please Rise for the Supreme Judge Sara Hedricks.
Judge Sara Hedrick enters the court room from her new chambers. Everyone rises including the judges. Captain Jainway remains seated wondering what’s so special with her. While Sara walks behind her. Captain Jainway finds her self being thrown over the bench and onto the courtroom floor. She watched her tuck and roll, using her military training avoiding injury. Mona absolutely loved it, watching her show utter disrespect. Tec was about to say something when she leered at him with a stern look.
When Mona seen Sara in her dreams, she almost lost it. Her heart started racing and she felt her wife's desires soar. Mona had her first orgasm that was so intense; it buckled her knees while she followed her.
Judge Sara Hedrik: It is by the people that I have been elected and supported by the enforcers that I was dragged here! Should any of you disrespect my customs, rest assured. I will not show any mercy. Captain Jainway. If you ever fail to respect my customs, per station policy. I will show you what I'm made of, forget your girly combat training. You are not on Earth; it is the law of the owners of this station. We respect the customs that the captain has enforced. You do that again, I'll request you be removed from the judge's seat.
Judge Sara bows to Judge Tec, respecting his custom. She moves to her seat. She kneels before Enforcer Jnanson. She kisses her feet as several judges clamor.
Mrs. Calhoun stands and walks before the judges.
Mrs. Calhoun: If you dare talk about her respecting my family. I will personally throw you off this station. Jnanson saved her life, it is Sara's custom to show such respect. She owes her, her life. That is the only reason she has done such.
She sits down fuming at the arrogance. Sara gives her a kiss on her cheek and takes her seat. Captain Janeway sits only after she sits.
Judge Sara Hedrik: Case 02-213a. Unfair trade practices, manipulation of Replicator services. 327 complaints have been filed. These complaints range from business favoritism to unauthorized business reconstruction. Mrs. Calhoun... How do you plead?
Mrs. Calhoun: Guilty as charged for unauthorized Construction. Innocent in business favoritism.
Judge Sara Hedrik: You can only plead Guilty or Innocent.
Mrs. Calhoun: Innocent.
Judge Sara Hedrik: Mr. Coman, State your case.
Sate Attorney David Coman: 327 complaints have been filed by various businesses, that the enforcers performed free construction on the business Hcaru's restaurant. Apart of the complaints, that none of the enforcers has ever visited any other businesses. The Enforcers are a driving factor in the business in question.
Mrs. Calhoun: All the enforcers eat free at the establishment, by the owner’s expense. All 473 enforcers have been eating that the establishment, since he has ordered his staff to feed us for free. It is the owner's choice to do so. There’s no reason for us to go to any other establishment for one main reason. My family trusts my judgment. When Mona Nicky informed Elasa and Jnanson they served shrimp. I went there to investigate. That is the only reason I chose to go there. My family loves seafood as much as I do. Both me and my wife only eat shrimp there. No other establishment offers shrimp that has no seasoning. They do not offer it. As for the replicators. I stopped charging them for that main reason. I have 606 children, including enforcers that eat there now. The bill would close his doors. We could order what we want in our home, but it would not be the same, since they prepare it, and serve us for free. We pay the military through the proceeds, from the business district and services supplied to various companies that use the replicators. It is within our judgment to make adjustments; the business in question has offered their services for free.
We made adjustments to their building, to accommodate our children and us. There are promises that I keep before I married her. I do not break promises. It is not a law, but it is apart of the Procreation Act that I must follow. It is also one of the reasons we made 9 new additions to the station. We have also made 2 of those additions for Earth environments, for the population to visit. It is what Earth use to be like, before the contamination. Judge James Maverick has the 1st addition made for him, with his wives. He is to perform his duties, and he has not missed work from what I have heard. If the courts have reviewed all the licenses, we have acquired. We hold over 300 licenses. From zoning, construction, excavating, nursing, doctor’s degree's too many levels of law and enforcement. We have recently been given titles of Scientists.
And I have built this station, because the original station was 64 miles, it was contaminated. It posed a threat to all life on board. So we built this, we spent 8 days building this station by hand. All the technology is made by our hand, and we setup a way to pay the military with the proceeds. We also gave away free homes, virtual parents for the orphans. All the paperwork has been filed by the children, and each step was taken before the construction began. I must warn all that has heard of our upper floor. There will be no photos or theft of our place in the business district. It is to be considered part of our home. We have also filed that with the zoning commission, it was approved. I see no law that has been broken; we have followed the proper channels.
Mrs. Calhoun picks up a large box filled with documents, and sets it on the states desk.
Mrs. Calhoun: If it pleases the courts, I have a complete set of these documents for you to review. You also have a complete set of filings at your fingertips in your database.
Mrs. Calhoun sits smiling. Mona's desires are bursting at the seams with her wife's creative views and how bold she's being. So assured of herself, she knows she wouldn't have the patients with all the paperwork.
While the judge’s clamor over the information that they have gone over.
Judge James Harkin: It is to the findings and information given, that the enforcers are found Innocent of all charges.
Mrs. Calhoun. We also need to address the next case of patent infringement and property theft of patents.
Judge Sara Hedrick: Case 02-213b. Patent infringement, patent theft, distribution of stolen intellectual knowledge.
Sate Attorney David Coman: Several companies filed that the enforcers used patents to create their devices and gave them away. It is to the extenuating evidence that the loss in revenue is extensive, even after they have began operations.
Mrs. Calhoun: It is to the request of the owners of this station, that each of the representative parties be present for this case. They are asked to proceed to the nearest portal, and report their location so I can bring them here.
The courts compile Jnanson provides all the information on the companies and owners. A few hours pass as they are all present and accounted for.
Mrs. Calhoun: I would request cross examine the owners, and the complaints given by the court's permission.
The judges wage their arguments on the request; Jnanson wages theirs by using her knowledge on laws and drawing advice from Mona. She persuades the judges by adding logical reasoning.
Judge Sara Hedrick: You may proceed.
Mrs. Calhoun: Company IshiMagao manufacturing: Owner Agagowa Ishi Please take the Podium.
&nb
sp; When an old man takes the stand.
Agagowa Ishi: We found that the body of our cars, were used to facilitate the transportations of the population on this station. They were apart of the residential giveaway when we arrived on board. The Patents are proprietary and owned by the company.
Mrs. Calhoun: The patents are from your company. Does this Document familiar to you?
Mrs. Calhoun hands him several documents from the stored archive of Mona. They were signed affidavits securing the survival of patents, designs, equipment should the company perish.
Agagowa Ishi: Yes. We signed these in the preservation of our patients, should our company perish to the contamination.
Mrs. Calhoun: I present to you, the documents submitted to Working for Tomorrow. That in the event that there company perishes, that the patents be preserved and registered a licensed patent under the company of WFT. Mr. Ishi. When you restarted your business, how did you pay personnel to operate your business?
Agagowa Ishi: A form of currency was put in place before we got here. We paid for the use of virtual personnel to operate our company. We saw no need to hire anyone because they were very efficient.
Mrs. Calhoun looked shocked that they used their virtual people as slaves.
Once Mona seen the data in her dream, and had to check it out. They found the weapons when they went to investigate the virtual personnel. They had access to enforcer technology. Each of he warehouses were teleported to storage hanger 297 deck 17. Mona contacted her father to investigate the technology. They found a device on the verge of detonation and jettisoned it into deep space, it exploded on contact with the cold of space. Lives would have been lost wile the damage would have been devastating. Mona couldn't explain how her dreams were so accurate, and only had one thing that was not real. Mona watched, her dream played out, the children recorded everything.
Mrs. Calhoun: Did you pay the virtual personnel, and were any of them injured at any time.
Agagowa Ishi: We found it odd that they asked to be paid wages, but they were never paid. And there were a few injured, we could never figure that out. We just hired more to replace them.
Mrs. Calhoun: Who or what part of the organization, offered our personnel. They are virtual yes, they feel and live just like everyone here. They are apart of us, my Virtual programming. WHO AUTHORIZED IT! Your honor... They live and Die, hey have offspring just like you. They have lives inside the virtual world that moves at a faster rate than we do, out here in the real world. Each virtual personnel have no patent. They all have ENFORCER status because they are self thinking and adapting. You not only failed to pay them, but you failed to pay us. What's worse, you threw them away thinking that their just a program.
She looks at the business owners and takes the floor.
Mrs. Calhoun: If any of your companies had virtual personnel, I want a complete list of names that were working for you and for how long. It is to the first business, when we brought everyone on board, is to get the businesses up and running to form a sense of a community. The vehicles are all powered by our main power supply to the habitat. My home. The materials are virtually indestructible. They have no batteries or chemicals inside to lubricate them. Making them totally safe for everyone. The designs are from your companies, and the contracts are null when you all left earth. Your businesses did not come with you. All that information is stored in each of the enforcers, a compendium of mans knowledge. We are the caretakers, you are our responsibility. If you need the information to your patents. They are denied, because of pollution. There are no fossil fuels on board this station to burn.
It is all powered by the power we put out. We charge the cells or use the sun to recharge them. If your companies want, we can give you the patents. But you are not to build anything that will put out pollution. We can share the technology on how to tap the power supply, like the automobiles do, or even the lighting. Your honor, I mean you no disrespect, the virtual personnel are apart of us, they think, live and die. They even have children. I need the courts to find out who authorized it. We tried to organize all this, to get the population organized and back on their own feet, instead of starving or dying from contamination within 13 years. We are doing our best to help. But we are also avoiding anything that will pollute our environment. We are after all on a station that has air filtrations now. It takes a lot of time to clean them; last thing we want is a pollution machine.
Judge Sara Hedrick: I've heard enough. There is no reason for a deliberation. It is clear they used virtual personnel, and refused to pay them when they asked for wages. It was not known that they have enforcer status, let alone feelings and live like we do in a virtual environment. We will consult with others, to investigate the allegations and stop all use of virtual personnel immediately. For the patents, Mrs. Calhoun is correct, we do not have burning fuels on-board, and having machines that produce carbon monoxides and other forms of gases would only make things worse on a station this size. It is well known that these gases are deadly in confined spaces, without the trees or oceans to absorb these gases; people would die because of it. I know, we all had to leave earth because of pollution. As for you owners.
A list is required, if anyone destroys or tamper with evidence, we have no jurisdiction because the enforcers are the ones that take care of that. It is here by this ruling that the case of patent theft is here by dismissed. To the companies that lodged the complaints, an investigation into your companies' practices will begin immediately. I am aware that companies were supposed to hire people to work for them, not virtual personnel. As a people, we rely on businesses to pay our bills and live our lives. If you don't pay anyone and take in the profits, you are not apart of the community, and you do not support them either. If any of your companies sold any device that creates pollution, you are ordered to recover each and everyone. It is immoral to create such devices after what’s happened. I do know that the enforcers are the only ones taking care of this station, just because they can fly does not mean we can ignore the frailties of the human condition.
The gavel sounds out as the children remains quiet. Mrs. Calhoun takes the floor.
Mrs. Calhoun: First order of business. To each of the companies here. Your businesses are hereby seized by order of the owners of this station. Your homes, cars, equipment, buildings are to be seized. You are hereby under investigations for violations against the enforcers. Your accounts are already frozen. Girls, you know what to do. Each of you is to hand over your keys to your vehicles.
Mrs. Calhoun takes the keys from 37 owners; the children remove their families from their homes with the military's help. Days go by as 1273 new designs were created by their virtual personnel as they discover horrible working conditions. All the machines in 13 companies were enforcer technology. They even discovered a prototype battery on the verge of detonation when they quickly dismantled the battery before the Holo discs recycled the device. Each device was confiscated, along with the buildings. The Holo discs put each building in storage hanger 297 deck 17. Mrs. Calhoun enlisted the services of Toal Calhoun to investigate each device.
She even found the creation of weapons being made. Mrs. Calhoun held 23 hearings and terminated 19 owners, for violations of weapon construction. The enforcers shut down the transporters, and did a deck by deck search for weapons of any kind. They used all their technology to scan every structure completely, to ensure the safety of all on board. Thousands were killed trying to use the weapons on the enforcers; their families were killed on the spot. Word got out how they took no prisoners and the people cooperated, they finished their searches. The enforcers were not messing around, wanting to keep the peace. They rounded up 4,391, in connection to hide or create the weapons. They were thrown into space while everyone got to see first hand, what happens to those violating the owner’s laws.
Mona had the children pick up everyone that was in her dream, and moved them to an uninhabited section of the station while several enforcers guarded them.
The re
maining hearings were held publicly, they were denied to ever operate aboard the station. Several cooperated and were willing to pay restitution. Several teams of enforcers worked with the remaining owners, to hire real people to work for their companies. They allowed them to hire some Virtual personnel only to advance the technology for environmentally safe devices. Raffles were held and the winners got the proceeds from the owners, who lost their business licenses or were terminated. Their families, they got to own regular homes and had to work for others to pay their bills. Like every family, all the homes were free as well as 1 vehicle. Their children had powered bikes like every home, accounting for each child. Mrs. Calhoun connected with all the children and enforcers, reconciling with the abused virtual personnel. They reset each one, and gave them virtual bodies again to work in the real world, along with their wives, girlfriends and families. The station alarms activated, the captain contacted Mrs. Calhoun and informed them of a large ship that fired on the station and was headed their way. Mrs. Calhoun had to finish up what she was doing and join the family outside the station. The younger Jenni, she went outside the station and began heading towards the ship, all by herself, giving her mother time. She stopped 8000 yards from the ship.
The ship had stolen technology; they fired a beam of light at Jenni as her body absorbed all of it. They fired several types of beams at her and she absorbed it gain. The captain of the attacking vessel was intrigued how she did it and survived. Mrs. Calhoun finished making the adjustments to the virtual personnel, and then went to the bridge where she was needed. She seen her there, realizing they had no chance. She opened a window when the captain appeared "Surrender or we will kill the life form" Mrs. Calhoun laughed,
"She's already defeated you. Do you want to surrender now or be incinerated by her?" She laughed hysterically terminating communications. They opened up with every weapon, and fired at her. Minutes goes by while she moves. She raises her hand and forms a large bubble over her head, she fills it will plasma, and it glowed brighter than the surface of the sun. They fired at her again, only to make the bubble bigger and aim it towards the ship. "We surrender" She could hear alarms going off in the background.
