I moved her right hand just when a flower fell towards it. The magic flowing from me through her pushed it up and made it bounce before it reached her skin. Her laugh and her wonder filled eyes were a thing of beauty. I wanted to stop time and remain here with her. Forever. Nothing had ever felt this way and I highly doubted anything ever would.
When I saw her open her door and run to me something awoke inside me. Hope. Her reaction had told me everything I yearned to know. Yet she stopped herself before reaching my arms and I knew if I let that moment pass, that hope I had gained would be lost. And I would possibly be forever lost with it. Deciding to let go of Mo meantóir had broken the last part of me. Yet when I felt her hand in mine I had been reborn. The surge of energy that traveled through me had been like nothing I had ever felt. Our connection had been so strong, the magic poured out of me and flowed into her. White light had encircled her irises and her eyes began to glow. It had affected her just as it did my druid family when I performed the eternal bond rite at the beach. And now she was here with me.
She stepped out of my hold and turned to gaze at me. The smile on her lips was mesmerizing. Her giggles filled the air when the flowers and petals floated towards her. They seemed to follow her when she moved. I watched her stunned, while they began to dance around her with every turn of her body. Somehow the magic was still flowing from me through our connection and into her, prompting the flowers to follow her movements.
“When I was a child I dreamed of being a ballerina,” she said in between laughter. She twirled and leaped high. He arms forming graceful lines. Her long red hair lifted and fell softy over her. Dancing flowers followed her every action. She stopped and bowed indicating her performance had concluded. I laughed when she held her side and raised her index finger to ask for a moment. Apparently, to regain her strength.
“I’m too old for this crap.”
I laughed once more while the flowers stopped in midair and began to fall to the ground around us. Her hair was full of pink petals. I walked to her side putting my arms around her back and under her knees. I lifted her and held her close. She shrieked and put her arms around my neck.
“What’s going on, what are you doing?”
“I shall take you home to rest. It is late and you must sleep to recover your energy.”
“No! Don’t be a party pooper. I’m having fun.”
She scrambled out of my arms and I set her down once more. But I was not ready to let her go. My hands sought her body, needing the contact. I held her waist and pulled her to me until her chest was flushed with mine. She looked up at me silent. There were no questions or protest in her gaze. I was certain she felt this need to be near me too. Looking into her eyes I let my fingers sweep a strand of hair that fell across her face. I tucked it behind her ear only to notice that some of the thin hairs had clung to her lips. My fingers grazed her cheek on their way down. My gaze settled on her bottom lip. Her lips parted the moment my thumb swept the hairs way.
I was dying to kiss her.
My thumb continued to caress her soft lips. They were full and rosy. I perfectly recalled the way they felt on mine the night she kissed me. The memory followed me every second of the day. My body responded to it and I held her closer. Her hands went to my chest and she held my shirt in her fists, as though she needed the support. I smiled and instantly noticed her gaze fell onto my cheek. My smile widened. She had some sort of fascination with my dimples. I loved when she spoke her thoughts around me. It was usually about them. It was endearing. She sighed never taking her gaze from my cheek. I took her hands from my shirt and guided them to my neck. She held on tightly. Her breasts pressed against my chest, my hands roamed her back. I needed her lips on mine once again. I lowered my head and saw her rise on her toes to meet me. I closed my eyes tilting my head ready to taste her lips and felt them on my cheek instead. I stopped, unable to open my eyes while her warm lips caressed me. I wonderful shiver ran down my spine when the tip of her tongue grazed my dimple. I smiled but I dared not move. I was in paradise. Her soft lips kissed me once more and she gently sucked on it. I was not certain it was possible, yet I held her tighter against me. She nibbled my dimple over and over again, and awakened every single inch of me. Her arms tightened around my neck while she enjoyed me. When her lips left my cheek, mine sought her neck. I lavished it with the attention I was dying to give the rest of her body. I tasted the tender skin under her ear, and let the tip of my tongue draw along the curve of her neck and shoulder. Her soft sighs reached my ear, nearly destroying me. My lips returned to her neck and I nibbled on it slowly. Her taste was intoxicating. When my teeth grazed her skin a moan escaped her and she gasped. She pulled back and looked into my eyes. Her cheeks were flushed. A deep rose hue covered them.
“I…” a nervous look entered her eyes. “Water! I need water. I mean I’m thirsty,” she swallowed clearly breathless and spoke slowly. “Please can we go back and get some water? And a sandwich, all this jumping kind of made me hungry.”
Her chest rose and fell rapidly with her breathing. So did mine. She was aroused just like I was. Yet, she was startled by it. I stared into her eyes loosening my arms around her and willed my body to calm once again. I could sense the purity of her essence. I suspected she was untouched by man’s desire. I would not rush her. When she opened up to me, it would be because she was ready. She would give herself to me and take me as hers, when she desired it so.
“Anything you wish, my Goddess,” I placed one last soft kiss on her neck and felt her body tremble. I smiled and let her out of my embrace.
I turned to open the portal.
“Sweet mother of… What the hell is wrong with me? I actually licked his dimple,” she muttered under her breath and I chuckled. I turned to find her cheeks rose. She seemed mortified. She noticed me watching her and froze.
“I seriously need to stop talking to myself.”
I laughed and lifted my hand to her shoulder. I removed the strands of hair that covered her neck and leaned in until my lips were near her ear.
“It is alright, my Goddess. I thoroughly enjoyed it. You may lick my dimple any time you wish,” I grazed her neck with my lips and stood back. I winked at her. Her cheeks reddened but not from embarrassment. She was flushed from my action. My words. For a brief moment, I allowed myself to appreciate her reaction to me. Storing the image in my mind, I smiled and turned to open the portal.
“Where are we going now? You promised to show me the world, remember?” She teased and took a drink of water. We had returned to the Cherry Blossoms clearing after obtaining the food and drink she had required.
“I did indeed,” I answered amused. My hands instinctively sought hers. I cupped them in mine and brought them up to my chest to rest. Her eyes were fixed on mine and I reveled in the feelings that she provoked. “Wherever you wish to go, My Goddess,” I whispered allowing my eyes to seek her lips. I counted the seconds until I would be able to hold her in my arms and kiss her. Before the night was over, her lips would be mine. I would make it so.

BRIANA
My throat had become dry while I looked at him. The sudden haze his eyes created engulfed me and threatened to drown me. All I wanted was to jump this man and I’d never even been kissed before. I’d never had a boyfriend or seen a man naked. It was embarrassing to even think about, but the knowledge I had about sex was pretty much what I had learned at “school.” Let’s just say Grandpa “The Teacher” had not been very thorough with that particular lesson. Don’t get me wrong. Once I became curious enough about it, my friend Google had been there to explain a few crucial, yet uncomfortable details about how things needed to be “handled” in that department. But the truth of the matter was, I was no longer a teenager. I was a woman, and the only knowledge I had acquired about physical pleasure came from getting to know my own body during gentle explorations. Still, the feelings he awoke in me confused me. One minute I was blushing like a fourteen year-old. The next I was wonderin
g how his hands would feel on my body, instead of my own. I wasn’t entirely sure if it was just him…
Not that “just him” wasn’t enough to make any woman’s panties drop.
Or if this feeling had anything to do with the energy that existed between us, but it called me to him. It awakened just for him causing a commotion. Whatever it was, the urge to connect with him in every level possible was present. And it grew stronger every time. Maybe I should be intimidated by this knowledge but only the logical part of my brain urged me to take a step back. The rest of my body instinctively pushed me forward. It wanted me to be with him. All of him.
“Is everything alright?”
His question brought me back to reality and I swallowed looking into his intense eyes. The emotion in them told me he felt the same. Coming out of the haze I realized my hands were on his chest. I held tightly to his shirt, and I was barely a step away from him.
I sighed. “Take me,” my eyes widened at my own words. “I mean, like to the next place, please. Anywhere you want. It doesn’t matter. Let’s just go.”
He grinned knowingly. Even his dimple was amused.
Great. Just great.
“As you wish, my Goddess,” He said still grinning and curtsied, mocking me.
“Funny man,” I said smacking his arm. He laughed and threw the stones in the air.
I brought my hand to my eyes protecting them from the glare of sun. I blinked a few times trying to adjust my vision and gasped when it finally did. We were on some sort of wooden bridge that looked like it had been here for over a century. But that wasn’t what had made me gasp. We were completely surrounded by mountains. These weren’t your regular type of mountains. I had never seen anything like it. The bright bands of blue, orange, green, yellow and red stroked the mountains in the most captivating pattern. It was as though an artist had used his brush to immortalize them, and nature had been his canvas. It instantly transported me to the movie What Dreams May Come. It was one of my favorites and I distinctly remembered a scene in which Robin Williams stepped into a field of colorful flowers. It was his version of heaven. His hands grazed the buds and he discovered they were made of paint. When the colors began to coat his skin and clothes he realized he was in a painting his wife had made. Her painting was his heaven. I turned around me slowly. Trying to take in the majestic sight my eyes were witnessing. I fleetingly wondered if like in the movie, I was standing in the middle of somebody’s heaven.
“This is…” Amazing, spectacular, incredible, weren’t good enough words but my mind was numb. I could hardly believe my eyes. “Astonishing…” I whispered hoping it could do it justice. Cyn’s arms wound around my waist and I sank into his embrace. My back rested on his chest while I admired our surroundings. I was speechless. This place was unlike anything I had ever seen. And I had a folder full of “majestic natural places to visit one day” on Pinterest but this was… No. I didn’t have the right words. Suddenly I wished we weren’t on the bridge. I wanted to run to them. Lay my hands on their perfection and see the colors up close. I wanted to hike their natural trails and discover what secrets they hid in their grooves. I wished I could connect with them.
“Where are we, Cyn?” I asked placing my hands on his and absorbing the peace his touch provided.
“Jansu, China.” His voice was a soft caress in my ear. He nuzzled my neck and inhaled deeply. The action caused a delicious shiver to run down my spine and his arms tightened around me. He placed a soft kiss on the spot right under my ear. His lips lingered for a second, then moved down. His journey continued and he kissed the curve of my neck. I sighed, unable to do anything else.
Yep, Mr. panty dropper…
His hand left my waist and caressed my bare arm on its way up. I felt his fingers rest under my jaw and he tilted my head towards him. The look in his eyes took my breath away. It matched how I felt in this moment. Here… with him. His gaze went to my lips and I swallowed. My throat was suddenly dry. He gently cupped my check and leaned in, closing his eyes.
“Maybe we should go to the next place.”
What?? What the hell was wrong with me?
I was dying for him to kiss me, yet I couldn’t seem to let him. I seriously needed therapy. He stopped an inch from my mouth and took a deep breath, resting his forehead to mine.
I am such an idiot.
He smiled and opened his eyes, “I know a place you will love.”
His head tilted and he placed a kiss on my cheek then stepped back. The loss of his embrace saddened me and I wondered if there was actually something wrong with me. Why was my mind putting a stop to any situation that led to an intimate moment with him? I wanted this. Everything felt so right, so perfect with him. He held my hand in his and intertwined our fingers. I watched him take the stones throwing them in the air. The portal opened.
The sky was marbled with the most beautiful tones of yellow, pink and purple I had ever seen. It was sunrise here. Wherever “here” was. The weather was warm but there was no breeze. It was very quiet. My eyes traveled downward to the magnificent sight. The horizon offered no distinction between the sky and the water as the hues of pink from the clouds seeped into the lake. Pink water started back at me. My mouth gaped slowly. It wasn’t an optical illusion, or the reflection of the tones in the sky above us. The lake was pink. I could see the deep pink tones in the crystal clear water. The pinkish-white sand sparkled even without the full light of the sun. No. It wasn’t sand. My eyes searched the ground around us, trying to make sure I was seeing things clearly. I let go of Cyn’s hand and walked to the edge of the lake where big white rocks lay scattered. They seemed like some sort of foam-covered rocks. The ground became harder the closer I got but it didn’t hurt my bare feet. I stood on the edge and touched the “foam rock” instantly watching it brake into a thousand crystals. It was salt. I dipped my hand in the shallow water and brought out a mound of salt crystals. The lake and ground were full of them. There were small dunes inside the water as far as the eye could see, and along the edge of the lake. They sparkled as the sun hit them on its ascent. I laughed amazed, shuffling the crystals in my hands. The multifaceted salt rocks were different shapes and sizes. They looked like uncut diamonds. Incredulous I searched for Cyn. He was standing a few feet behind me with a huge smile on his face. His eyes sparkled more than the crystal ever could. I stood with my hands full and hurried towards him. “Where are we?”
“Torrevieja, Spain,” he answered.
Wow. This night just kept getting better and better.
“They are gorgeous. They look just like raw diamonds. May I take them home please?”
His dimple answered before he could. His smile widened at my request and he nodded. I beamed excited until I realized a very important detail. I had no place to carry them. Neither my pajama pants, nor his pants had pockets. I didn’t have anything that could serve as a bag. I considered asking him to take off his shirt, but with the way I was feeling around him that could get us into trouble. I sighed in disappointment and stared at the beautiful salt crystals. I wasn’t sure where else we would go and I couldn’t carry them in my hands until we returned home.
Maybe we can come back another day.
I inwardly smiled at my thoughts. I liked the idea of Cyn being in my life. Hopefully we would have many more of these types of day.
“Please allow me, my Goddess.”
He asked noticing my dilemma and placed his hands under mine. I let go of the crystals and watched them fall on to his palms. I lifted my gaze to him only to realize he had already opened a portal into my room. I frowned and sighed. He chuckled walking inside and placing them on my vanity table. I felt silly. We had traveled to the other end of the world. Of course he could open a portal to my room. He came back to my side but he left the portal open and I got the feeling it was time to say goodnight. I didn’t want to leave. I took his hand the second he came back and kissed his cheek. “Thank you for tonight. It has been incredible.”
He caress
ed my cheek while looking into my eyes. “You need not thank me, my Goddess. I am pleased to be here with you. Share this with you. However, there is one more place I wish for you to experience. Close your eyes.”
I did and immediately felt him carry me in his arms. I swallowed a shriek. I placed my arms around his neck but I kept my eyes closed.
He laughed. “You need not worry, my Goddess. You are safe by my side. I promise you. I shall never allow any harm to come to you.”
“I know,” I whispered and rested my head on his shoulder. I felt safe.
The warm breeze caressed my skin and blew my hair gently the second we crossed the portal. The soft sounds of the waves rolling in and out on the shore made me smile. His body sunk slightly with each step on the sand and I knew exactly where I was. I was in heaven. His lips kissed my cheek a moment before he whispered.
“Open your eyes.”
I almost didn’t want to obey. Being in his arms with the peace he provided and being here at the beach with him was my version of heaven. I just wanted to stay like this. Eyes closed, listening to the waves while in his embrace. I reluctantly complied with his request. My eyes instantly widened and I covered my mouth in awe. If I were to gather all the places we had visited tonight and put them side by side, they still didn’t compare to the beauty of this place. I honestly didn’t think anything else could be this breathtaking. A million stars shone brightly in the night just for us to see. Except they weren’t in the sky, and they weren’t really stars. My eyes fell on the sand as the wave slowly rolled in and I gasped unable to do anything else. The “stars” were in the water, on the sand and under Cyn’s feet. They were alive and moved with each of his steps. The night was the darkest I’d ever seen but I could easily read a book here. The millions of little “stars” glowed, bathing the beach in an astonishing blue light. I smiled while my eyes watered. I actually knew where we were. It was the number one natural site to visit on my Pinterest list. I was staring into the Caribbean Ocean. This was Vieques Island, Puerto Rico.
