“Where shattered sanity lives delighted, from the feelings that run within ourselves. And all logic is left behind it, for finally our soul is saved…”
The image of her falling apart in my arms made me jerk against her softness. She moaned in my ear. I wished more than anything that I was not limited by the restraints my trousers created. I wanted to truly feel her against me.
“And I’ll be in this place with you, for as long as you want me here.
Because there’s no place else you belong, nowhere else you should ever be…”
My hips began to move against her. I groaned as her softness stroked me with each movement. Her arms pulled back from me and I stopped. I lifted my head to gaze into her eyes. My breath was ragged. So was hers.
“Tell me more, Cyn… don’t stop,” she said breathlessly.
Her fingers pulled at the fine straps of her dress. Slowly, she revealed herself to me. The fabric fell from her lush breasts and the thick rosy nipples were exposed. They hardened under my gaze.
“For you and I belong together. Our bodies, our hearts, our souls, I’ll make you mine in our forever, and pledge to unconditionally be yours.”
The words had barely left my lips when her fingers dug through my hair and she pulled me down. She arched her back offering her breast to me and I complied gladly. My lips closed over the thick, hardened tip and I began to suck while my tongue twirled around it.
“Yes! Yes… don’t stop,” she begged.
My hips moved against her of their own volition. The throbbing intensified with each stroke. I wished to hear her moan my name. I wanted to moan hers too, and lose ourselves in each other. Her hips began to move with mine. They matched my rhythm and intensified the sensations. I jerked against her and pulled her impossibly closer. Her moans became louder. I sucked harder on her nipple leaving it tender. I moved to the other, devouring it all the same. Tonight the need inside us matched perfectly. We needed each other and our bodies were sensitive from desire. I bit her nipple gently triggering her release.
“Cyn! Oh…”
Her long moans engulfed me and she began to shake in my hold as the pleasure reached its apex. My body complied with her request and I lost myself in her. I kissed her lips as the rush of desire ran down my spine and escaped me in a powerful release. I moaned into her mouth and felt my body shudder in her embrace. I loved experiencing this with her. Being the one to show her what love and pleasure truly meant. I would wait for as long as it was needed to make her truly mine, for I desired to be inside her in more ways than one.
I wanted everything from her.

BRIANA
I awoke feeling the same way I had for the last two months. Happy. I had found love in the most amazing man to ever exist. Cyn was incredible.
Like literally. No one would believe me if I ever told them who my boyfriend truly is. Well except Lia who already knows about him. Well… sort of. She knows of him but not really who he is. I don’t care though. I don’t need anyone to know. He is mine and I am his, and that is all matters to me. Well except for Grandpa. He kind of needs to know.
The heavy metal music blasted through the room, making me jump in bed. I slammed my hand on the snooze button, nearly breaking the damn thing. On the downside though, these late nights with Cyn were kind of killing me. The black circles under my eyes had black circles in them. I sighed. I really needed to tell Grandpa so Cyn and I could be a normal couple. Well as “normal” as an immortal Druid Warrior and a mortal environmental lawyer could be. But the time I got to spend with him was always worth being tired or being late for work. As promised, Cyn had shown me the world. Every night we visited a place that was somehow more amazing than the last. The love we shared for nature was definitely the strongest thing we had in common. Aside from that, I loved the man he was. His soul, his humor and how he teased me. I loved how he made me feel. The woman I was with him.
And let’s not forget his delectable dimples.
I chuckled. Also our make out sessions were impressive. We still hadn’t made the full trip to fantasyland, if you know what I mean, but sweet mother of all things mind blowing. That man was indeed Cynfully Delicious. The things he could do with his lips, tongue and his fingers on my body. And the way we came apart together was just… I blushed just thinking about it. I wanted him, I wanted to be his and for him to be mine but I just couldn’t seem to build up the nerve.
I’m an idiot. I know… I should go into the Guinness book of world records.
I sighed and sat upon the bed. I looked at the annoying clock while music blasted through the room again. I brought my hand down on it to slam it again, although what I really wanted to do was throw it across the wall. I touched it and the clock went flying from the night table and connected with the wall shattering on contact. I gasped and stood up startled. What the hell? I put my hand over my heart trying to calm myself. Had I really hit that hard?
“Sweetheart, you are going to be late again. Are you sure you are not sick?”
Grandpa’s voice brought me out of my thoughts and I blinked. I picked up my phone it was ten minutes to eight. Crapola! “Yes, I’m almost done. I’ll be right there Grandpa,” I rushed to the closet and grabbed the first blouse and pants I saw. I had run out of always-look-good-outfits about a month ago. These late nights were even killing my style. I had to talk to Grandpa today, it was going to be a difficult conversation but, “Hey I’m a Ginger, I can get it done,” I turned towards the vanity for my brush and noticed my latest potted plant had died. Again. They seemed to be dying faster in the past weeks. I made a mental note to tell grandpa NOT to buy them anymore. I sighed and rushed to the bathroom.
Either I got ready in record time or I had actually managed to slow time down but we parked outside the office at 8:05 am. Grandpa took my hand to stop me from opening the door.
“I know you need to go in sweetheart but I just wanted to say something. I’m really worried about you. Lately you seem exhausted all the time. I don’t believe you are sleeping well enough. You might be spending too much time with Lia. Don’t get me wrong little Bee. I really like her. You found a good friend in her. I can tell her soul is pure and she’s smart and funny. I’ve enjoyed talking to her when she stops by the house, but you’ve been so tired lately. Waking up late for work, sleeping during the day on Saturday and Sundays when you used to spend time with me. Now, I know I’m an old man, you have a new friend and you are making your own life but I still worry about you.”
My heart broke. I had been neglecting Grandpa just so I could spend time with Cyn. I leaned in and hugged him tight.
“I am so sorry Grandpa. Having friends doesn’t mean you are not still part of my life. I’m sorry. I just have been distracted preparing for the case and reading until late then spending time with Lia and I just didn’t realize it,” And now I was lying to him. I was a horrible person. He deserved better. “Actually I wanted to talk to you about something.”
He looked at me expectant and I took his hand in mine. “Well I wanted to tell you that I met someone. A man. He’s sweet and considerate, and very protective of me. We’ve been talking for a while now, and I would love for you to meet him,” I held my breath while Grandpa’s face seemed to go through every emotion that existed. Panic, worry, understanding, apprehension, gloom then settled on acceptance. He took a deep breath, looked into my eyes, and held my hand tightly.
“Is he a good man?”
“Yes Grandpa, he’s amazing. Noble and honest, he’s in the military. A soldier,” I almost cringed at the lie but it was the closest I could come to the truth. Well the closest without him freaking out or taking me to the nearest psych ward without passing go or collecting $200. He looked into my eyes and took another deep breath.
“Ok Little Bee. I trust you. Bring him to the house on Saturday morning, for breakfast. I want to talk to him.”
“Wait, the day after tomorrow night? But you work Grandpa. You’ll be just home from your shift and yo
u need to sleep so you can work again that night.”
He shook his head. “I’ll ask for a change of shift or take Saturday night off. This is important.”
Wow. This was serious. Grandpa had not changed his shift or taken a day off since the last time I got sick and that was years ago… I hope Cyn doesn’t have a problem with it.
I smiled and nodded. “Thank you Grandpa. I love you,” I hugged him again, and rushed out of the car. I looked back when I entered the building and he was still parked there. He seemed lost while he looked out the window. I frowned. I knew this would be difficult for him but I didn’t want him to suffer for it. I stopped under the metal detector placing my purse in the security basket. A shrill alarm blasted through the air. I covered my ears and looked at the guard. I could be wrong but he seemed in shock. It was so brief I wasn’t sure if I had actually seen it. I frowned. He reached for the control panel and turned off the machine. I lowered my hands from my ears, blinking and opened my jaw trying to clear the ringing in my head.
“You may go in,” one guard said while the other picked up the phone and started calling someone. I grabbed my purse and rushed to the elevator. Risking a glance at my phone I discovered the time was 8:20am.
Great, Just great…
The clicking of the keyboard under my fingers was the only thing keeping my mind occupied. I had gotten here this morning to a giant tower of files in my desk. I continued to enter the info in the filing system hoping it would make the day pass faster. Lia and I were having lunch and I couldn’t wait to see Cyn after that. The phone rang.
“Are you ready Linda? I’m starving and I can’t wait to try the shrimp lo mein you brought.”
Crapola! “Ok don’t kill me. But I kind of, completely forgot to grab the food from the kitchen this morning,” I cringed waiting for her outburst. Instead she laughed.
“Ay por Dios! Esta niña está mal! Uno de estos días vas a dejar la cabeza, Linda!”
I frowned, “Ok I only got days and head from that.”
She chuckled. “That I swear one of these days you are going to forget your head at home. Don’t tell me, another late night with Mr. Cynfully Delicious?”
I blushed and chuckled.
“Mmh I know how that is,” She sighed. “I can’t believe you did this to me. I dreamt about that shrimp all night.”
I laughed. “What is it with you and food?”
“Listen, don’t judge ok? We all have our faults. I know I’m perfect in your eyes but you had to find out someday,” We laughed again. “Ok let’s go to the Deli. Are you ready?”
I frowned looking at the monitor. It was already 12:30pm. “Oh I didn’t even notice the time. Yes, I’ll meet you at the elevator.”
Lia and I stood on the counter at the Deli waiting for our orders. It smelled delicious and to be honest I was starving too. I smiled remembering the portal hoping with Cyn through Australia last night. It had been absolutely incredible. The outback was impressive to say the least. I had fallen asleep in his arms looking at the splendor of the night sky above us.
“Oh what it is to be in love… such a wonderful thing. It turns people into complete idiots.”
Lia’s voice broke my thoughts. I laughed. “What are you talking about?” I asked looking at her.
“Yes exactly. Please tell me what I’m talking about. Because I have been yammering away for the last five minutes and I’m totally sure you haven’t heard a word of it.”
I frowned, she was right. “Ok I’m sorry. I was distracted, but you are wrong. I’m not in love with Cyn,” I said chuckling. That was silly. “We’ve only been going out for like a month and a half or something. Love takes time. It’s nurtured.”
“Uh, two months, thank you. And hello, have you not heard of ‘Love at first sight?’ You are wrong my friend. Love knows no logic. When it’s meant to be it takes a minute to know that they are the one,” I chuckled. “Anyway, I was saying that you look really tired. I know you want to spend time with Cyn and all but that man needs to let you rest.”
I chuckled again. “I’m fine.’
“Yeah well those bags under your eyes beg to differ. I just don’t want you to get sick for lack of rest. I know it’s exciting and everything right now, seeing him every night and making out with him. But your health comes first.”
“Thanks girlie, but you don’t need to worry about me. I’m not getting sick. I promise. I have a really good immune system,” I frowned. “I actually can’t even remember the last time I got sick. I think I was eighteen or something.”
She choked on her drink. “You haven’t gotten sick in five years?”
I shook my head. “Not that I remember.”
“Not even a cold?”
“Uhm. Not really. I used to have allergies as a child though. I was allergic to peanuts or something. I remember grandpa used to have an EpiPen in hand all the time. But then it disappeared. I never had an issue anymore.”
She looked at me perplexed. “Ok tell me you are kidding. Allergies that require an EpiPen don’t just disappear from one day to the other. Those are life threatening allergies, Linda.”
“Well it didn’t really disappear. The doctor prescribed a medicine or something and it went away.”
Her eyes widen in disbelief. “Ok, that must have been some miracle cure because as far as I know that doesn’t happen. As a matter of fact, about fifteen million people in this country alone are going to need the name of that doctor.”
We chuckled. “I can’t remember girl.”
“So tell me, have you gone all the way, yet?”
“Shhhhh,” I looked around us mortified. She laughed. There was no one. “What if someone had heard you?” I reprimanded her then blushed when I saw the deli guy waiting for us to take the sandwiches. We did and walked to a table.
“Then they would have probably congratulated you, Linda. I mean it’s been two months! The poor guy must be blue by now. He might as well move to Pandora and change his name to Tsu’Tey. Seriously, that guy was blue for a reason. Freaking human comes and steals his girl after he’s been waiting a whole life for her. Talk about sexually frustrated.”
We laughed. She was crazy. I loved her.
I cringed when she took half her sandwich in one bite. I chuckled and opened my chips. “I don’t know what to tell you girl. I really don’t know what it is. I mean it’s not like he’s not doing all the right things. I want to, like really want to, but I don’t know there is just something holding me back.”
“Well I’ll tell you something. I’m your friend and I love you. So I’ll do him for you. Just say the word.”
She laughed and I threw my chip at her. She laughed louder.
“Ok seriously though. I know this is a first for you and everything, but if he is as amazing, and romantic, and perfect as you tell me he is. Then what are you afraid of? It sounds to me like you are just letting yourself be held back by something. Just stop thinking about it and feel him. You say you get butterflies and all the crazy feelings you are supposed to get. That’s love. You need to let go of reason and just follow your heart because I’ll tell you something else. Love waits for no one, so if you love him you need to tell him. Regardless of whether he has said it or not, just tell him. I don’t want you to lose him because you let fear control you. I know how much that hurts.”
We walked out of the elevator and onto the seventh floor. We began our way down the main hallway. Lia continued her story about the recipe she was going to try tonight for our lunch tomorrow. I chuckled at her craziness. We turned to the right so each of us could head to our own desk and boom. Felix.
Why? Why did he have to show up now?
“Hi Felix, just returning from lunch. I’m going to go to my desk and finish the filing I received this morning,” I turned to Lia, “bye sweetie. I’ll text you later,” She nodded.
I looked at Felix praying to whoever was listening, that he would get the hint and let me pass. It didn’t happen.
“Wait what
’s the rush Carrot curls? I haven’t even asked you how you are yet. Why are you trying to leave? Is it the sexual tension between us? Do I make you nervous?”
He chuckled and I tried with everything in me not to throw up my lunch.
“So are you excited for our trip on Monday? If you are lucky, you might get to be my roomie,” He winked. “I’m sure we can arrange something. Just come prepared to have really good dreams. I sleep naked.”
I decided to ignore his come on. I had other things to freak out about. “On Monday? But Mr. Cornelli told me it would take at least three months to put everything together? That was two months ago.”
Crapola! I haven’t even brought it up to Grandpa yet. I was counting on the three months to sell him on the idea slowly and with all the, “Cyn excitement,” I completely forgot about it. Now I have to tell him from one day to the other. This is so not going to help my case.
The expression on Felix’s face changed and I frowned. It was as if he had said too much. I doubted it had to do with his “roomies” comment.
“Well, things have changed and we had to accelerate the deadline. I’m sure my uncle will brief you on what is needed. Stop distracting me, Briana. I have an important case to work on,” He turned and walked hurriedly towards his office.
What the hell? He had never even used my name before. I wasn’t completely sure he even knew it.
I looked at him while he walked away and noticed Lia had stayed close. We looked at each other.
“That was just weird.” She said and turned to follow him.
I agreed.
Crapola, now I have to tell Grandpa about the trip this weekend and he is about to meet Cyn. Yep, this is a recipe for disaster.
CHAPTER 13. ANEW
CYNWRIG
As I admire you my Goddess,
So many things go through my mind.
Will you give me your heart to care for,
And leave everything else behind?
Can you let my arms embrace you?
As I whisper “I am yours.”
