“Mark and Fisher are on this along with Wyatt. They want us to bring Lucia to the department tomorrow and tell her side of the story and why she ran from her home. She’s going to be scared,” Maxwell said.
“She might try to run in a panic,” Lucifer stated, looking down the hallway toward the bedroom.
Gabriele stood up.
“We need to reassure her that she’s safe in this town and that everyone will and can protect her.”
“I think we should call in some friends to assist us. The more protection she has here, the better she’ll be,” Maxwell suggested.
“We need to discuss it with Lucia first, and let her decide,” Lucifer replied.
“Discuss what with me?” Lucia asked, as she walked into the kitchen with Salvatore, his arm around her shoulder. She was only wearing one of Salvatore’s sweatshirts and a pair of her socks. Salvatore held her close as he took a seat near the table and pulled Lucia onto his lap. She crossed her legs, placed a loose strand of hair behind her ear. She was so sexy and such a lady.
“Baby, I had to stop into the sheriff’s department today after work. Wyatt and two of our friends called me in with some information,” Maxwell told her.
“What information?” she asked. Salvatore looked at Gabriele, Lucifer, then Maxwell, and he wrapped her in his arms a little snugger. He knew something was up.
“It’s a long story, but the gist of it is that someone was in town taking pictures of you and us together. A private detective.”
She covered her mouth.
“Don’t panic. We’re going to protect you. We won’t let him near you.”
“Let who near her? What the fuck is going on?” Salvatore asked, raising his voice.
“Derek. Derek found me. Oh God, what am I going to do?” she asked.
“We’re going to meet Wyatt and the others in town. You’re going to have to explain what happened back in South Carolina and why you took off. We don’t know what this asshole has planned, but we’re damn lucky some US marshal who was visiting Pearl with his family caught sight of this Gerry Levant,” Maxwell told her.
“Gerry works for Roscoe Levine. Roscoe was the one who put the pressure on the woman’s family when their daughter accused Derek of raping her in college. They paid her off, but not until after the girl’s father had a car accident,” Lucia explained.
“You mean you know this guy? You’re saying they threatened this woman’s family and caused injury to her father?” Maxwell asked her.
“You have no idea how low, how corrupt and unethical these people are. They would kill to get what they want. I have to leave.”
She stood up, and they all yelled, “No,” scaring her.
Salvatore pulled her back onto his lap. “You’re not going anywhere. We love you, and you love us. We’ll protect you. This entire town will.”
“He’s right. We’re lucky this US marshal identified this dirtbag Gerry like he did. Now we know they’re looking and perhaps waiting to make a move. One of us will be with you at all times, and no more talk about leaving town, understand?” Maxwell asked, and she nodded her head.
Maxwell stepped forward and cupped her cheeks between his hands. “We can and will protect you. We’re not going to let this ruin our holidays.” He kissed her softly and then lifted her up from Salvatore’s arms and held her as she straddled his waist.
When he ran his hands under her sweatshirt, Maxwell widened his eyes as if pleasantly surprised to find her naked.
“Oh, baby, what exactly did you have planned when you came out here?” he asked then stroked a finger along her ass to her pussy.
She moaned and tilted her head back.
“To offer myself as an appetizer before dinner,” she whispered.
“I think that’s a great idea,” Maxwell replied.
“So do we,” Gabriele said, and Maxwell lay her down on the table and pushed her sweatshirt up. He cupped her breast and then leaned down and licked her nipple.
“Open for him Lucia,” Lucifer ordered, and she held his gaze, lips parted and breathing growing rapid. Maxwell shimmied out of his pants, pulled Lucia by her hips, and sunk into her.
“Oh God, Maxwell.”
“Fuck yeah. I needed this. I needed to be deep inside of you, baby.” He kissed her then began a rapid pace of thrusting into her cunt. She held on to him, and Gabriele and Lucifer undressed as Salvatore watched her. He caressed her hair from her face and ran his thumb along her lips.
“No running from us. We can and will protect you.”
“Yes, Salvatore. Yes,” she moaned and then came.
Maxwell pulled from her body, lifted her up, and began carrying her from the room. She laid her head on his shoulder, and Gabriele followed.
“We’re going upstairs to the bedroom where we can all be together. You need to know that we love you, we’ll give our lives for you, and that you’re our everything,” Maxwell exclaimed.
* * * *
Maxwell lay down on the bed, taking Lucia with him. She immediately took his cock inside of her and felt so wild with need. He cupped her cheek and neck and counterthrust up into her.
“You’re all ours. Always, Lucia.”
“Always,” she whispered back then felt the hand on her ass, and the cool liquid pressed to her anus. Her pussy tightened and spasmed all over again.
“Yes, please, Lucifer. I need you too,” she begged. A moment later he pushed his cock into her ass, and she lowered her chest to Maxwell’s. The two men set a nice, slow pace. It was torture as she moaned, parted her lips, kept her eyes closed, and relished in the feel of their thick, hard muscles penetrating her. She felt the touch to her cheek and opened her eyes to see Gabriele and his thick cock.
She licked the tip, and he gripped her hair. “Fuck, I love this mouth. I love being with you like this, and with my brothers.”
The three men stroked into her, and she felt her body lose control as every fiber in her tightened and then released. She came, and so did Maxwell.
Lucifer continued to thrust into her ass when Gabriele pulled from her mouth. She followed his cock, mouth open and wondering why he pulled out when she felt Lucifer lifting her up, and Maxwell slid from underneath her.
Gabriele took his place, then reached up to accept her from Lucifer as she took Gabriele’s cock up into her wet, needy cunt. Now Lucifer and Gabriele began to fuck her. In and out, up and down, she could feel the beginning of another orgasm. A touch to her cheek, and there was Salvatore looking needy and wild. She licked her lips, and he pushed his cock between them. All three men fucked her and claimed her, sealing their bond even more. It seemed to her that every time she made love to her soldiers, they inched their way deeper into her heart and soul. She couldn’t even imagine life without them. The thought brought tears to her eyes. She suckled Salvatore harder as Gabriele and Lucifer picked up speed. Lucifer moaned and shook as he came then Salvatore followed.
She licked him clean, and he pulled from her mouth. Lucifer pulled from her ass, kissing along her spine then her ass cheeks before giving her cheeks a light smack. The moment she gasped and Lucifer stepped away, Gabriele rolled her to her back, lifted her thighs over his shoulders, and fucked her until she screamed her release. Gabriele grunted then came, but she was so exhausted, she closed her eyes and just allowed them to clean her up and then tuck her under the covers. She thought they might leave her, but instead all four men climbed onto the bed and kept a hand on her in a loving, possessive way.
“Rest, baby, and we’ll watch over you,” Salvatore told her. She believed they would, and knew in that moment there was no place she would rather be, and that they would protect her from anything Derek tried to throw at her.
Chapter 14
Lucia was talking with Sage and Diane as the men were mingling with their husbands. Lucia was so impressed with the Thanksgiving Day activities, she couldn’t even imagine how the evening could end.
They spent the morning watching the children in town perform
a traditional Thanksgiving Day parade and play. Some were pilgrims and others were Indians, and even small children got to play animals and other roles. She laughed a lot and didn’t ponder over all the wasted Thanksgivings of her past, but instead focused on how special this first Thanksgiving was with her men. Especially since she officially moved in with them this week.
“I love watching the Thanksgiving parade in town. The children get so into it.” Sage said as she patted waved to one of the children walking by them.
“Me too. It’s my favorite part. Of course coming here and enjoying a Thanksgiving feast with family and friends is my favorite as well,” Diane said then inhaled with her eyes closed.
“Everything smells so good too,” she added.
“Do they have parades where you’re from Lucia?” Sage asked then popped a piece of carrot into her mouth from the platters of food on the table.
“I don’t think so. If there were, I never attended any.” She thought about that as she looked around. She felt the hand on her arm.
“Well, now that you’re living in Pearl, you’ll get to see and partake in all the fun holiday celebrations,” Sage told her then winked.
Lucia smiled.
“This town has the tendency to celebrate everything. There’s always some event or gathering. It’s what makes us all so close and the town so united,” Diane told her.
“It’s a beautiful town, and everyone is so nice,” Lucia told them. The women smiled.
As she absorbed the sounds of music in the background from a local band, she took in the sights of the large buffet table filled with turkeys and all the trimmings. It was a large crowd, but there was plenty of food to go around.
They were waiting for Wyatt, Maxwell, Mark, and some of the others to return from delivering Thanksgiving meals to the elderly outside of the town limits and those who were too ill to travel.
“I love how Mrs. Higgins’s bedroom came out. She said she has some very special guests coming to stay with her this December. I wanted to know where you got that gorgeous wooden rocking chair. I have never seen anything like it,” Sage asked, drawing her attention back to the conversation.
“Oh, it is a very special piece. Salvatore made it,” she told Sage.
“Really? My God it is beautiful. He should make more and sell them. People would pay big bucks for them,” Diane told her. Lucia smiled at the compliment. She knew Salvatore would never sell his work. It was his form of therapy.
She felt the hands on her shoulders as Salvatore joined them, then heard the cheers as the men arrived.
“Well, it’s time to eat and celebrate another Thanksgiving together here in Pearl. Cheers, everyone, and may we all have a very blessed holiday season,” Doc said as he toasted everyone. They reached for their glasses, cheered, and began to enjoy the feast.
The tears hit her eyes, and Salvatore was there to take Sage’s seat as she got up, and so did Diane, so they could talk with their men and eat with them.
“Hey, what’s wrong?” Salvatore asked. She felt someone take the empty seat behind her and glanced to see Gabriele.
“Nothing is wrong, everything is perfect.”
“Then why the tears?” Gabriele asked her.
“This is the first real Thanksgiving I’ve ever been part of.”
“You mean you never celebrated it before now?” Gabriele asked, and Lucifer and Maxwell came over.
“I was never surrounded by family and friends and made to feel like life was so wonderful and that I was blessed. So many times I stayed at the boarding school with other girls whose parents went off on vacations or didn’t send for them because they didn’t celebrate or care about the holiday. This town and all its people, plus the four of you, are my new family. This is my first real Thanksgiving, so that’s what the tears are for.”
Salvatore smiled. “There’ll be many more like this, Lucia. Many more.” He kissed her tenderly, and they all smiled before they helped her from her seat and prepared to enjoy the feast.
Gabriele wrapped his arms around her waist, placed his head on her shoulder as they waited to make a plate. “If you think this is wonderful, just wait until Christmas, baby. The holiday season officially starts now.”
He kissed her cheek, and she felt his excitement. She prayed that nothing would come between their happiness. But given the fact that there had been no updated information on Derek or his associates, she wasn’t feeling too sure the happiness would last. Derek McMillian was not going to give up. He would come, and when he did, she needed to be ready.
Chapter 15
Lucia joined Mary Higgins for lunch at her home. The work in the two bedrooms was complete, and Lucifer and Salvatore had moved on to another job closer to the house on the other side of town. They had planned on dropping her off in the mornings then picking her up in the afternoon as she started working longer hours for Mary. They weren’t too happy about leaving her, but she insisted that she would be fine and that help was a phone call away.
As Beth joined them in the kitchen, Lucia saw all the Christmas decorations spread out on the table in the adjoining dining room.
“I thought you said you were just about finished decorating for Christmas,” Lucia said.
Beth chuckled as she held a small sandwich in her hands. “Are you kidding me? You saw what she had put up outside of the house, didn’t you realize that every room in the house must be decorated too?” Beth teased.
“Oh my goodness, this really is your favorite time of the year,” Lucia said to Mary.
“It sure is, and I have so many guests coming to visit. You’ll come over with your men Christmas Eve, won’t you?” Mary asked.
“Of course. I’ve heard all about your parties, Mary, they always wind up being the talk of the town.”
Mary chuckled. We do get a little crazy with the eggnog,” she replied, and they laughed.
“So what do you think about all the decorations and the events planned in town, Lucia?” Beth asked her.
“Oh God, it’s so beautiful. Yesterday we picked out a tree and set it up in the living room. Salvatore made this fancy base for it and a container to hold the water so the tree doesn’t dry out. We’re letting the branches fall, then we’ll decorate it.”
Mary smiled, and then she wiped a tear from her eyes.
“Mary, what’s wrong?”
She chuckled and used her sleeve to pat the tears away.
“Just thinking of Lilly and Benny. They would be so happy to know that their sons found you and fell in love. I don’t remember the last time those men celebrated any holiday, never mind put up a Christmas tree.”
“Really?” Lucia asked, suddenly feeling so sad for them.
“You’ve helped them to heal Lucia, and to move on with their lives,” Beth added then reached over and squeezed her hand.
“I don’t know about that. I think they’ve helped me to heal and to finally feel loved.”
They heard a sound coming from the back door, and all three of them locked gazes.
“What was that?” Lucia asked. Beth stood up and headed down the hallway then screamed. The door kicked in and someone knocked Beth over as Mary put herself in front of Lucia.
“Get away from her. You can’t have her,” she screamed.
The man in the mask backhanded Mary across the face. She fell to the rug.
“No. Get away from me,” Lucia screamed as she tried to fight the man. Two others were there to help him. They grabbed Mary and Beth covered their mouths and eyes then tied them to the chairs.
“Don’t hurt them. Please don’t hurt them,” Lucia begged as the one guy tied her hands behind her back.
“Let’s move, Gerry, we have seconds to get the fuck out of here,” one of them said.
Lucia tried to run, but the other guy struck her. She screamed out and could hear Beth and Mary yelling for the men to stop. They were calling her name.
“Tell them I love them. Tell them, Mary,” Lucia screamed, and then she felt the blow to
her cheek. The room spun and the other guy covered her mouth and then her eyes.
“Let’s move. The helicopter leaves in fifteen minutes.”
* * * *
“We have to get loose, Beth. We need to get her help,” Mary said even though there was a thin piece of sheet over her mouth. Beth seemed to understand her. They both wiggled and strained to get free. Beth was trying to wiggle her hands free, too.
The sound of a cell phone ringing drew their attention. “Lucia’s. That’s Lucia’s cell phone the guys gave her,” Mary said. They rocked the chair side to side and wiggled more and more until the one chair tipped over, leaving Mary on the floor but free from the ropes. She grabbed the cell phone.
“Maxwell! Maxwell, they took her. They got Lucia.” She carried on and gave him all the details. He told her to stay put, that help was on the way. She looked at Beth and undid the bindings and her blindfold.
“We have to do something,” Beth said then reached for Mary and gasped. “Your cheek. Those bastards struck you.”
“They picked the wrong women to mess with, Beth. I need my cell phone.” Mary crawled along the floor to the coffee table and grabbed her hot-pink phone case. She scrolled down, looking for the number. She pressed send and his voice picked up on the second ring. “Mary, what’s wrong?”
“It’s time. They got her. He had men break in here, tie us up, and take her away. Can you help me?”
“Of course. I’ll take care of everything.”
She ended the call and looked at Beth as the sirens filled the air and the front door swung open. Lucifer, Salvatore, Maxwell, and Gabriele were there with Wyatt and the others.
“You’re too late. Three men in masks broke in and took Lucia. They’re gone.”
* * * *
There was total chaos and not a sign of a helicopter or any witnesses to what transpired right behind the Main Street Inn at Mary Higgins’s place.
