Taken Hostage Page 24

“Come. Have a look,” he said, and he took me by the arms as we moved towards it. It stood there with a blue metallic color, shaped like an upside down breakfast bowl. The rim of it flashed with white and yellow lights. Within a few feet of it, I thought there’s no way this could be fake. I touched the side of it, and I felt a throbbing sensation throughout my entire body. I pulled back; scared. I wanted to run. Jehveh grabbed me, dragging me onto the spaceship. He tossed me in the corner. I was now trapped. I couldn’t escape. As soon as we entered the spaceship, the door closed. Within minutes, had taken off. I don’t know how the spaceship was operating because I couldn’t see any controls. There were chairs in front of where the control panel should be, but there was just windows, and nothing else.

“Let me show you around my ship, “ he said, lifting me up. I staggered up, still a little giddy from everything that’s been happening to me. I followed him around the ship. What else could I do? There wasn’t really much to look at. There was chairs around control panels, which didn’t really exist. It was just a metallic surface with a spray of lights floating above it. And windows all around the sides of the ship. I stopped to look out one of the windows, and I could see earth getting smaller and smaller. Thoughts were rushing through my mind like in a panic. I presumed they were looking for a reality they could believe in. My first thought: will I ever see earth again? And: this is really happening. I’m being taken away on a spaceship to another planet. What is going to happen to me? Shaking my head in dismay, I kept moving on, catching up to Jehveh.

“Where are all the rooms? Where do we sleep?” I asked. I couldn’t see any doorways or openings on this ship.

Jehveh indicated a column in the middle of the ship. “The rest of the ship is through there.” I didn’t know how. There was no doors and the column was two feet wide. He put his hand on a panel on the side, and the whole column vanished into the floor. In its place was steps going down to another level. We went down the steps and into an area where there was compartments that made up bedrooms and bathrooms. Everything else was in the centre of the spaceship, including the kitchen and dining area.

Jehveh sat down and said, “Make yourself at home.”

I sat down opposite him. “What am I going to do on your planet?”

“You will be my son’s governess.”

“You’re crazy. I can’t do that. I’ve got a life back on earth,” I said, feeling exasperated.

“Now you will have a life on my planet. It is similar to earth, except we are superior beings, although we don’t know how to feel. That’s where you come into it. You will teach my son to feel.”

I looked at him; into his eyes. They were icy eyes when you looked at them long enough, and I had to look away.

  Chapter Four

The spaceship starts to vibrate as it descends to Jehveh’s planet. I tried looking out the windows but I couldn’t see much as the power from the ship was kicking up dust. I could only see lots of plant life; greenery meshed with brown-red dust. Finally, the ship landed, and the doors opened, and we disembarked. I wasn’t tied up or chained. Where would I escape to? I was now a prisoner of this planet. I walked down the steps, and took my first steps on this planet. Well, it felt like earth. I looked around, and suddenly my eyes filled with beauty. I saw a maze of green ferns and trees as far as my eyes could see. I spun around to see what was behind me, and it was more of the same, except it was more beautiful, if that’s possible.

I turned to Jehveh. “This is paradise.”

“We call it Helix,” he said, leading me towards a path, which was straighter than the Nile river. It was wide and some type of dark slate. My eyes followed the path to a tall structure in the distance, which was pyramid-like, but it was shiny; and it was finding the light of two suns. We were being met by a man in a black uniform. He took Jehveh’s bag, and led us to the palace, which was only about a hundred yards away, even though it looked a lot further.

I stopped once I was inside the palace, and to be honest, I was star-struck and overawed by how grand this palace was. The size of the halls was staggering to me, and my eyes were struggling to take it all in. Actually, it was impossible to take it all in. As I looked at the furthest point, my eyes were failing to pull in what was at the end of the palace. It was just a bit of a blur. That’s how big it was. As I kept looking, things that were a blur were now turning into people as they got closer to me. Soon the people turned into servants who greeted us, and we hopped onto their mode of transport, which was some sort of floating machine. As we moved with speed, I couldn’t help but to check out everything around me. The ceiling was like giant clouds, and the walls were misty, sparkling with crystals. There were water fountains that seemed to be made of glass, making the fountains see-through. Everywhere I looked it left me with wonder and amazement. Without even realising it, we had reached our destination, and I was the last to step off the floating car.

I was totally amazed by what I had seen already, but the main palace area was breathtaking, to say the least. I slowly moved through the palace with Jehveh in the lead, showing me around and introducing me to people. There were so many beautiful colors here with hints of different shades on the walls and curtains. The colors were all bright and sunny, at least in this part of the palace. I was so in awe of the palace, I can’t remember what the people said to me at all.

We moved into another part of the palace. A young man came walking towards us, greeting his father.

Jehveh turned the young man to face me. “This is my son, Prince Rafael. Rafael, this is Katie. Your new governess.” He bowed towards me, but shouldn’t I be doing the bowing?

“It is nice to meet you, Prince Rafael.”

He started speaking in his own language until his father told him to turn his speech translator on. He did so. “I’m sorry. I have not used this very much before. It is nice to meet you too.”

Jehveh was happy. He was kind-of-smiling. “Now that you have met, maybe you can get to know each other. Rafael, take Katie for a walk in the garden.” He nodded his head, and I followed him as we walked out into the garden. Everything here was beautiful. Actually, it was too beautiful for words. How can you explain paradise?

We walked together between trees and shrubs. We sat down on a bench. I accidentally brushed his hand, but quickly pulled back. It was like touching a wet stone. He was so cold. At this distance I had a better chance to see him up close, and in better light. He very much resembled his father in appearance, although his mottled skin was much fainter. You could hardly see the spots across his face or on his hands, but they were there. There was a depth to his appearance that made him look older than he actually was. His hair was almost white and straight, and blended in with his patchy skin color. He was weirdly handsome, but there was something else that made him terrifying, below the surface, that I couldn’t put my finger on. Not just yet.

“Do you come to the garden often?” I asked, finally breaking the silence between us.

He looked at me. “Yes. I do a lot of my studies here. Father says it’s healthy to get out in the garden. He’s right of course. We and the garden need the light, and also the pink rain.”

I didn’t want to say it out loud, but this planet is so interesting. Pink rain? I’m sure I will discover so many other surprises.

“There are many surprises here. You are right,” Rafael said.

“How did you know what I was thinking?”

“I can read people’s minds. Sometimes I can know what someone is going to say in the future. What are you going to teach me?”

I was still amazed at his psychic ability before I realised he had asked me a question. “I will be teaching you about having feelings and emotions.”

“I know about emotions, but I have trouble experiencing it. I have seen earth movies where people cry or become happy or excited. I’m very curious.”

Jehveh joins them in the gardens. “You should start teaching him now.”

  I was feeling pressure
d. It was just too much to me. “I don’t have to teach him at all. I shouldn’t even be in this situation.” I stood up. “I belong on earth, not here! I demand YOU TAKE ME BACK NOW!” I screamed, and emphasized my anger by jumping up and down.

They both stared at me, and a strange fascination came over their faces. “Are you teaching now?” Jehveh asked.

  “No, I’m angry.”

“That’s emotion, isn’t it?” They were both still staring at me.

“Yes!” I stamped my foot to emphasize that I was still angry, but I don't think they understood subtle body language at all. “When you raise your voice, you angry and unhappy about something. You feel frustrated.”

“Being makes you feel angry?” Prince Rafael asked.

“No and yes. No disrespect. Your planet is beautiful, and I have nothing against your planet. It’s because I was taken away from my own planet against my will.”

Jehveh puts his hand on his chin. “That’s interesting. I know you want to go home. I understand that. I miss home sometimes too, but we need you here. You must stay. We can learn so much from you.”

  Chapter Five

After dinner, I arrived back at my room for the first time. I was in love with this room too. And why shouldn’t I be? It obviously wasn’t the biggest room in the whole palace, but it was adequate for me. In the middle of the room, there was the biggest four poster bed that I have ever seen. It seemed to be made out of some material that I’ve never seen before. It was part wood/part metal or precious stone. On the top of each corner, there was a carved creature that I’ve never seen before. The rest of the room was beautifully furnished with all the colors that I love. Crimsons and pinks and lilacs in the bedding and curtains. I fell onto the bed, relishing the softness of the mattress, and spreading my arms out. I felt like I was in heaven.

There was a soft knock on the door. I opened it to discover it was Rafael standing there, looking anxious.

He comes in with his shoulders slightly slumped. “What’s the matter, Rafael?”

I stood back at arm's length to get a good look at him. When he was at dinner, he seemed ok, although a little quite. I didn’t get much of a chance to take notice as I was conversing with Jehveh. “When you were angry today, were you mad at me?”

“No, of course I wasn’t. It was just the situation I was in. Was that all was troubling you?”

He sat down on the bed next to me. Our legs were almost touching. “No. I don’t think I want to learn anger. I, for instance, don’t want to be mad at you.”

I looked at Rafael’s face. At this very moment, he looked so adorable. “Being angry isn’t a good emotion to have. There are better emotions.”

He looked at me in the eye. “What is the best emotion to have?”

I didn’t hesitate. “It’s an emotion called love.”

  “What is it?”

I breathed out, and thought: here goes! How am I going to explain this one? “Love is when two people care for each other by holding hands, kissing, and sleeping together.”

Rafael moved closer to me. “Can you show me?”

I nervously laughed, and hesitated. It wasn’t that I wasn’t attracted or felt anything for Rafael. Every time I looked at him, I felt something, but I didn’t know what exactly. “I don’t know if I could do that.”

He put on his knee, and it feel cold at all. Not this time. “Please Katie. How else will I learn about love?”

I didn’t want to touch him. Oh yes I did. My hand went straight onto his hand, which felt warm, like I just said. I don’t know why. Maybe he was starting to come alive with his feelings. “This is called touching. People who like each other touch each other and hold hands.” I started to hold his hand, my eyes watching what I was doing. Actually, I couldn’t believe what I was doing. His talon-like fingers curled around my hand. It felt good to have someone holding your hand, even if it was an alien. It didn’t feel like an alien hand, although a bit scaly but there was some warmth there. I touched his arm, gently rubbing it, then my hands went to his face, feeling the pattern of his markings. His eyes widened in this excitement. We moved closer, and I couldn’t stop myself from kissing him. The eagerness of both of us as our lips met, was in our eyes, and the tingling sensation I was feeling. I grabbed Rafael, pulling him down onto the bed, with our lips still together. For a moment, I pulled away from him.

  “Am I doing it wrong?”

I had both my hands around his face. “No, you’re doing it fine. Just keep pressing your lips onto mine, and we can also kiss with our tongues.” When he opened his mouth before I could see how long his tongue was. It could reach all the way inside of me. We tried again, pressing our lips together, then it happened. His tongue searched for mine, found it, played it for awhile, before he moved passed it, with his tongue reaching the back of my throat. I was feeling so turned on. My hands slipped between his legs, and I could feel how hard he had become. I grabbed it, running my hand up and down it. It felt like any other human penis, except it was huge and it had spots all over it. It looked so sexy. I couldn’t wait to get my mouth on it. It didn’t take me long to move from his lips down to his shaft, and using a combination of hand and mouth, wetting it with my tongue and the insides of my mouth. All over it. He started to moan in a guttural sound like an animal on heat. But it wasn’t enough for both of us. We wanted more.

Holding onto his shaft, I positioned myself, opening my legs, for him to come inside of me. But with it all in my hand, he looked to be too big for me. How was it going to fit? I pushed his shaft into my opening as I climbed on top of him. At the same time, squeezing it in, bit by bit. Oh my God, it’s only halfway in. I pushed some more, and it went all the way in. And it felt so good. I could tell by the look on Rafael’s face, he was enjoying it too. Especially when I started to rock on him, up and down, putting everything I had into it. Now working up a steam as he grabbed me and pulled me into him. Faster. And faster. He was so strong. You should have seen the look on his face as he came inside of me. We kissed and cuddled for hours before he went back to his own room.

The next morning I was still smiling. I tried to hide it, but I think most people could see there was something different about me. Jehveh rushed up to me.

“What’s wrong with Rafael this morning?” Jehveh asked. “He’s acting strange.”

“Where is he?” I said. My happiness turning into a worried look. I found him in the gardens, sitting on a bench, weeping. His hands were in his hands.

“Don’t worry, Rafael. Crying is good. You are starting to show real emotion.”

His voice sounded so miserable when he spoke. “I’m happy but I’m crying. I feel so happy, but sometimes the happiness disappears, and in its place I feel lonely and so sad.” He finally faced me, and dried the tears with his hands. “Is this normal?”

“You should be happy, but not so happy you’re crying. And you shouldn’t be sad either.”

Now it looked like Rafael was happy again. He was smiling uncontrollably. He looked like one of those Hollywood stars that had too many facelifts. His face was pulled into some type of smile. “I couldn’t stop smiling in front of Michael this morning. He said he wants to meet you.”

  “Who’s Michael?”

“He’s my eldest brother. Oh, here he comes now.”

I followed my eyes to where Rafael was looking. He was walking over a little bridge and down a little slope. They both looked similar to each other, although Michael had black hair and his markings on his face were a little darker than Rafael’s. He also had more muscle than Rafael too.

He came up to Katie. “You must be Katie. I’ve heard so much about you from Rafael.” He looks at Rafael. “I wish I could have emotions too, like Rafael. It’s a dream of mine.”

Rafael walks away, smiling. Michael looked after him. When he’s out of earshot, he said, “I deserve to be happy, not him.” I was about to reply to Michael’s retort when Jehveh arrived on the scene.

  “Is Rafael ok?” Jehveh as
ked me.

“He’s ok. He’s just happy, and he’s just getting used to this new emotion.”

Jehveh breathed out his worry. “I am glad you are making progress.”

“What about me?” Michael said, pumping his chest out. Jehveh turned to face his eldest son, and I moved away, but I could still hear the conversation.

  “What do you mean, Michael?”

“I want a governess too. I want to experience the same emotions that Rafael is experiencing.”

“No, Michael, you’re not getting your own way this time. The governess is for Rafael only as he will be going to earth to find out more about humanity.”

“That’s not fair!!” Michael storms off in a huff.
