Blade laid his eyes upon her as she slept in the backseat with her arms tied behind her back. She looked so damn good. Sexy in her business attire and her long, wavy blonde hair cascading down her back and shoulders.

“Want us to carry her upstairs to the apartment?” Skip asked him.

He looked up at him and smirked. “No,” he said and reached inside, lifted her up, and heard her moan. His heart pounded inside of his chest and his cock throbbed. He had her back. His beautiful prize. His one and only. He was going to keep her forever.

He placed her into the SUV.

“I thought you were bringing her up to one of the rooms?” Jerry asked him. He closed the back door of the SUV and looked at the two of them.

“Change of plans,” he said, and both men looked scared shitless and rightfully so. He had to do this right and make sure that no one found out where he had Shelby.

“Where’s Miss Queens?” he asked them.

Jerry looked scared shitless. “Home, why?”

“Just asking. Don’t want any loose ties,” he said.

“Loose ties?” Skip asked, and Blade pulled out the gun with the silencer and took both men out with one shot each to the head. They fell to the ground and he smiled.

“Loose ends resolved,” he whispered and thought about finding Eve and killing her, too, but obviously Jerry and Skip hadn’t taken her along with them and she didn’t know what they were up to so she shouldn’t be a problem. What did it matter anyway? He was taking Shelby up north and into the woods.

He got into the SUV and headed out of the parking lot in the back of the abandoned building. He thought about the spot up north as he glanced into the backseat at his sleeping beauty. He had it all planned out. During the day he would travel into the city to work and do his business and then return at night to take care of his woman, to feed her and make love to her, and eventually she would accept him. He had enough drugs to keep her sedated while he was out of the house. The drugs would ensure she didn’t escape. He smiled. He needed to be patient. As much as he wanted to claim her officially, he needed to break her down and make her beg for him to take her. That was what he fantasized about. It was his ultimate dream. Shelby would beg for him to make love to her and relinquish to his command.

  Chapter 7

“This sick fucking bastard killed them right in the middle of a dark parking lot four nights ago. Where the hell is Eve? Why the fuck can’t anyone find her?” Bender stated in a deep, raspy voice. He’d had very little sleep. He and his brothers, everyone involved in the investigation was surviving on small catnaps from exhaustion. They had no clues, no evidence or idea of where Blade took Shelby, and it was killing them.

“God, I can’t take this. It’s day fucking five. What is he doing to her? Is she even alive?” Kenneth asked and the others in the room made noises signaling their upset and disgust with the situation as well.

“Don’t give up hope. We’re close. We know what type of vehicle he has and we’ll find it and find them. We have people searching for Eve in the city, and Hunter and York are all over Mickie. He’s given up some locations where they kept high-end prostitutes. We’ll get word soon if they find her there,” Tazer said to them.

“They won’t find her there. She isn’t in the city. We’ve hit up all these fucked-up locations,” Bender added.

“It all adds more evidence to the case to bring down Mickie and Blade. It’s evidence the feds can use to put them away for life,” Tazer said.

“That’s fucking great, but meanwhile this sick fuck is probably torturing Shelby and doing God knows what. I can’t fucking take it.” Bender stood up and slammed his hand down on the desk. He grabbed the edge and shook it hard as he growled out in anger.

Kenneth stood up and placed his hand on his shoulder. “I feel the same fucking way but we need to be strong for Shelby, Bender. We’ll find her. I know we will,” Kenneth told him. When Bender released the desk and looked at his friends and the new ones they made because of this situation, he couldn’t help but feel desperate and angry. Why did they have to be here in the city in someone’s meeting room pulling together evidence and running out on bullshit leads and coming up empty-handed? They could be holding Shelby in their arms, making love to her, protecting her like they promised they would.

He heard the phone ringing and didn’t bother to look up. It was more than likely another bullshit lead or another call saying they didn’t have squat. They all had friends of friends working this abduction and looking for Blade and Shelby.

“Are you serious? Get it to us and use it to get Mickie to talk. He has to know another safe house or location that Blade has Shelby at,” Tazer said and then spoke a little more before hanging up the phone. Bender stood up straighter the moment he saw the positive expression on Tazer’s face.

He was right in front of him and Kenneth.

“Sam and Hunter found Eve along with friends of Hunter’s. She was in Yonkers hiding out. Once they told her that Blade killed Jerry and Skip, she handed over an envelope that Skip gave her that contains all this evidence against Mickie and Blade. There are pictures, there’s the contract Skip signed giving over Shelby as payment, and evidence that describes why there was a contract.”

“Oh God. Does Eve have any idea where Blade took her?” Bender asked.

“The contract and evidence, anything we can use to get Mickie to start talking?” Kenneth asked.

“Jerry and Skip apparently raped and abused some woman who was underage. They hired Blade and Mickie to make it disappear,” Tazer said to them.

  “Disappear?” Max asked.

“Yes, Blade killed the girl and got rid of the body. Mickie knew about all of it and was involved in a series of other cases. He’s done. Finished, and the feds are going to interrogate the shit out of him along with Hunter and Sam.”

“But he’s a killer. What if he loses it on Shelby and kills her, too?” Bender asked.

“Stay positive, Bender. Your brother Sam is on top of things with the feds. He won’t let them take this over and focus on putting Mickie behind bars and not finding Shelby. Sit tight. Hunter said Sam is calling on some friends of his to help. He sounds really positive,” Tazer told him and Bender looked at Kenneth, who ran his hands along his beard. He hadn’t shaved in days and the lack of sleep and frustration was showing on his brother’s face. Bender was sure he showed it, too. A glance around the room, and he could see that his friends and the others who volunteered to help them hadn’t slept at all either. They all wanted to find Shelby. He prayed that Sam came up with something fast.

They all knew what Blade was capable of. They’d found so much stuff on him, his jail record from his younger years, some accusations of assault that were dropped and where Mickie was the lawyer. His history and the stories they were told by acquaintances as they searched the city. Anyone they questioned anyone who was associated with him or knew of him and his reputation repeated the same thing. He was evil. He was a monster. This monster had their woman in his possession. It made Bender and his brothers sick with worry. Then there was Caroline. She hadn’t eaten in days. She was losing it and C.J. was concerned that she would have to take tranquilizers to rest. Dr. Anders was trying to help along with others in the community. Eliza was a mess and wished she could have done more to help. It was an emotional roller coaster, and Bender knew that every hour they didn’t find Shelby, the worse off she would be. The longer Shelby was with Blade, the greater her chances of dying were. He felt the tears fill his eyes and he quickly sucked up his emotions and ran his hand along his jaw. Do your thing, Sam. Find our woman so we can go get her and bring her home.

Shelby felt so weak. She was shivering, her body shutting down and giving up the hope that she would be found. Blade won. He was in charge. He was in complete control and there wasn’t anything she could do about it.

She didn’t even know what day it was. She didn’t care. Her stomach felt hollow, h
er heart broken, empty of the will to live and go on. She tried fighting him, resisting his control, and Blade punished her for it. He struck her several times, beating down her defenses and making her realize that he was the man, that he owned her now and this was her life. The same thing every day. He only fed her very little. Just enough to make sure her organs didn’t break down, but not enough to make her feel strong. Every night when he returned from wherever he went, he whispered in her ear, licked and kissed her skin, making promises of eternal possession of her mind, body, and soul. Then before he left, he stuck the needle in her arm and she felt the sensations of light-headedness, then like she was floating and she drifted off into a peaceful sleep. She savored that sensation now. To not hear his voice or feel his lips against hers and on her skin. To not feel his touch as he played with her body but had yet to rape her. She wondered why, but at this point, she didn’t even care. She didn’t even feel like she was in her body anymore. It was so weak, and she could feel her stomach shrinking, her ribs clearly showing against her skin. How long had she been here? Where was here?

Blade knew exactly what he was doing. He was breaking her down minute by minute, hour by hour. She laid tied to the bed in something he chose for her. Skimpy panties, thin lace bra, and today when she awoke, she was wearing a silk teddy in pale pink that barely covered her breasts.

She didn’t know what was real and what was a dream. She inhaled and smelled the soap. Had the bath been real? Had his hands caressing her, washing her been real or was she losing her mind? A tear rolled down her cheek. She thought she was all cried out by this point. She listened to her body. The way it felt and she knew she was so weak and couldn’t fight him off. She also knew he hadn’t forced himself on her, or tried to seek pleasure. Why? He had every opportunity to do it. Why not just do it already then kill her?

“There’s my girl.” His voice echoed around her and she didn’t jerk or feel shocked. She rolled her head to the side, noticing her hands weren’t tied, but she was just lying there. He came closer, and she could barely focus on his dark black beard, his dark hair, and almost black eyes that sparkled. He was happy, excited as he lifted her up and carried her from the room. Everything spun, and she felt how light she was and weak. When he sat her on his lap, she couldn’t keep her head up and she used his shoulder for support. He turned and kissed her cheek.

“That’s right, Shelby, I’ve got you. You can lean on me, and need me for everything now. You’re all mine,” he whispered and she nuzzled closer, trying to get the dizziness to go away. He massaged her arm, rubbed it up and down, and then cupped her breast. She didn’t even move. He moved her to the cushion next to him and helped her to lean back so her head wouldn’t fall. He stared at her and she closed her eyes, unable to keep them open. When his hand massaged her thigh and then fingers pressed over her panties, she opened her eyes to look at his smiling face.

“That’s right. You belong to me now and always. You’re almost ready, Shelby. Just a little longer I think and we can seal this deal.” He kissed her lips and caressed her body.

Her head spun and she leaned against him.

“That’s right. You’re learning really fast that you’re all mine.” He ran his hand along her jaw and tilted her head toward him. Her eyes blinked and she saw Bender. She blinked again and saw Blade.

It kept happening. More and more she would see Bender, Kenneth, and Sam as Blade talked to her and touched her. She was losing her mind, and she didn’t even care anymore.

“You need to eat a little something. Let’s get you to drink first,” he said. She felt the bottle press to her lips and she drunk from it. She looked at him. “What do you say?”

She saw Kenneth in front of her. She moaned. “Thank you, Kenneth.”

Her body jerked and he shook her hard. “Kenneth?” he screamed at her and threw her down to the rug. He was over her in a flash and she cried out and felt her bones ache and then her arm cracked as he threw them up above her head. She screamed out, and he clenched his teeth and threatened her. “Never say their names. You say thank you, Blade. Thank you, Blade!” he screamed to her and she shook with fear and pain.

He shook her hard. Her arm throbbed and her body felt like it could break from his weight.

“Say it, Shelby! Say it now,” he demanded.

“Thank you, Blade,” she cried, and he released her abruptly and stood up. She couldn’t move and as she looked to the left she saw her arm. It didn’t look right. It was all destroyed. She felt her belly wrench as she realized it was broken, yet she hardly felt any pain at all. But then he was kneeling on her, his knee in her sternum, and she gasped for air.

“When you wake up, I expect better behavior and for you to beg me to make you mine.” She didn’t even feel the prick to her skin. Instead she felt that instant feeling of floating again, and then Blade picked her up and carried her. She saw Bender, Kenneth, and Sam in her mind, their images flashing through her head. She saw them smiling at her, and then Sam reached out and touched her skin. She closed her eyes, felt his arms around her, and hugged him close. She squeezed him to her best she could with one bad arm that felt numb and unusable. She felt the large hands caressing over her bare ass and then the heavy body press her down to the bed. Lips kissed her neck and her chest then along her breasts. The strap to the teddy fell from her shoulder and his lips kissed along her skin.

She moaned softy. “Sam.” She said his name and then the roar filled her ears and her body jerked up and down. She opened her eyes and saw Blade. It was Blade the whole time, not Sam. Oh God no.

He struck her and then pulled on her arm and stuck her with another dose of the poison. She shivered and shook and wished to never awake again.

Hunter slammed his hands down on the table. “I want every fucking name of every location and I want them now. If you keep dicking us around, I’m going to let Shelby’s boyfriend here have his way with you and show you how they get murdering pieces of shit to talk in the military,” Hunter yelled at Mickie. Sam held his ground and remained silent. He had to abide by the rules in order to ensure that this asshole Mickie didn’t get out of this. With the feds there as backup and a few of them knowing Hunter and his reputation as a Navy Seal, they were given more freedom with Mickie than normal.

“I gave you all the places I know. I’m not that psycho’s fucking babysitter.”

  “Bullshit.”

“Hunter, we got intel working on that cell phone he had in the glove compartment. Looks like Mickie made a call to a cell phone that picked it up in a tower upstate a ways. It was near West Point,” the federal agent told him. Mickie’s eyes widened.

“Where is the fucking place? Tell us now,” Hunter said to him.

Mickie looked smug and like he didn’t think he had anything to worry about.

Sam stood up. He towered over Mickie and as soon as Mickie’s weasel eyes took in the sight of him and he saw the fear in them he made his move. One swift right jab to his stomach and the little dirtbag was gasping for air.

“You. You can’t do this. I have rights,” Mickie said in between gasping for breath.

“You’ll go to jail for this. Mark my words,” he cried out, and Sam struck him again and then lifted him up and pressed him down on the table on his back. He was on his face. The sound of the chair scraping across the floor then falling was the last sound before silence. Sam felt the side of him he didn’t like showing surface. A monster had Shelby and this dick knew where. He held him by the throat and got down next to his face.

“You think I give a fuck about jail? You think I’m scared of jail or scared of a lying dirty piece of crap like you? Think again. I’ve been in places, held prisoner by sick, masochistic killers that would make a sissy like you piss your pants. I’ve killed more men with my bare hands than you’ve destroyed lives with the shake of your pen. I’ll think nothing of starting to break your bones one at a time until you give me what I want and tell me where Blade has Shelby. You wan
t to find out if I’m lying? Challenge me,” he said so fiercely with his heart racing and such anger and fear. He hoped this man said the right thing or Hunter would have to stop him from breaking Mickie’s neck.

“In a cabin in the woods about fifteen miles from West Point. It’s secluded but there’s a dirt road leading up to it. He has surveillance and traps set up to notify him when someone is coming.”

“An exact location, Mickie,” the federal agent, Lewis, demanded to know. Sam hid his chuckle. Seemed the feds liked his way of interrogating this asshole, or maybe he feared Sam was capable of way more than most men.

  “I don’t know. I swear I don’t know.”

Blade was coming out of the building. It was late and would be dark soon and he couldn’t wait to get back to Shelby. He was gone a little longer than normal. He got a bit spooked when he saw the unmarked cruiser outside of the bar, and then Penny, the guy he did some loan-sharking for, seemed a little nervous. He hoped the guy hadn’t given any information up on him to the cops or the feds. Mickie said he was out and didn’t want anything to do with the situation. That was fine with Blade. If Mickie showed up, he would have killed him and buried his ass in the woods. He got into the SUV and headed onto the side street. That was when he noticed the other vehicle.

He wasn’t stupid. They’d found him, and now he would have to do some serious driving and outmaneuvering to get them off his ass. He thought about Shelby and that sexy body of hers. He figured just a few more days and she would be so long gone she wouldn’t say her boyfriends’ names anymore and would start saying his. Last night he almost had her. At least he thought he did. He slammed his hand down on the steering wheel. He broke her fucking arm. Now she wouldn’t be perfect. He had to set it somehow. He brought some stuff that could work, but eventually he would have to get her to a doctor to fix it. He couldn’t have her looking imperfect. The lights flashed on, snapping him from his plan-making and he swerved the wheel to the right and then jerked to the left. The sirens blared and he knew they had him. But he wasn’t going out without a fight. He wanted to get to Shelby. He never should have come here to get the money owed to him. He should have stuck to the plan. But he was angry. She made him so angry when she moaned her boyfriend’s name. He jerked the wheel and nearly missed hitting a car. The car he hit went into the other police cruiser but two more were right on his tail.
