As he continued to pump inside her, he came to realize she was just herself. That’s who he fell in love with. She was all that mattered to him.
He felt her body responding to his and then she was falling apart in his arms. She tightened down on him and he pushed through. He couldn’t control his body as he delved into her again and again. Finally, he felt his body tighten then he exploded inside her. Filling with his hot cum his mind went blank for a moment.
When he came back around, she was sighing in his arms. Looking up at him, she wet her lips and whispered, “Wow, that—that was incredible.”
Jack smiled at her. “Maybe we made us a new baby tonight? At least that’s what I hope we did.”
“You want another baby with me?” she whispered hoarsely.
“I want as many babies as you’ll give me,” Jack told her honestly. “I watch you with Rosa and know you are a great mother. Maybe this is what you were meant to do. You are just you, no one else’s child, just you. You grew up with nothing to call your own but you’re smart and funny and I love you so much. Our children can be your legacy to the world. Once you connect with your family again, you can teach them the ways of your people and I can teach them our ways. That way, they have the best of both worlds and maybe it will bring balance to both parts of themselves.”
“You don’t mind that to me it doesn’t matter who my father is?’
Jack shook his head slowly. “No sweet girl, it doesn’t matter to me at all. Not one of those bastards matter. They will be spending the rest of their lives behind bars anyway.”
“And you don’t mind about the money?” she asked him again.
Jack shook his head. “I earn enough to take care of my family and you are part of my family. You and our children will never want for anything. You and they will have me and the MC to look after you now. No matter what, you are a Young now and will be for the rest of your days. We don’t believe in divorce and we work for what we want.”
Kalinda smiled. “Well, I’m not afraid of hard work that’s for sure. It’s all I’ve ever known. And you also belong to me now as much as I belong to you. I don’t believe in divorce either. I’m in this for the long run and I also believe it takes two people to have a relationship. I want a lifetime of what you just gave me. A lifetime of waking up in your arms and of working beside you, building up a real legacy to leave our mark behind for our children.”
“Then so be it.” Jack leaned down to kiss her when they both paused for a moment when the silence was spoiled as Rosa cried out. She was awake from her short nap. They laughed and separated to finish getting dressed. Kalinda went into the bathroom to get cleaned up and as Jack went out to the living room to collect their daughter.
Chapter Thirteen
It was a week later and they had had the window James shot out replaced. Some of the outer buildings also had been repaired, otherwise it all looked like it had before. The threat was now gone as Joshua and his brothers were under indictment for drug trafficking and other charges.
There would be more charges as well. As the FBI had already taken Kalinda’s statement about the murders. Both of her mother and sister and the two Crockett boys. There was no statute of limitations on murder. And even though she’d been so young, her statements were clear as a bell on what had transpired. The Moon brothers would never be free again.
Renegade was also healing nicely. He and Kalinda were finally allowed to have some time to be closer.
During that weeks’ time, he told her stories about the tribe and her grandfather and her aunt. Her mother’s father and her sister were waiting to meet her. Andrew Hunter was her grandfather’s name and his daughter’s name was Glory. They had spoken a few times on the phone once the dust settled but Andrew complained it wasn’t good enough. He wanted to meet in person.
So today, Andrew and Glory were coming to meet Kalinda in person. Jack had stayed home to meet her family. Kalinda was a wreck and had been a couple of days before hand with Andrew and Glory’s coming.
Renegade asked if she would mind if he was present and she’d told him she was hoping he would be there.
Jack was watching her as the time drew near for them to arrive. He went to her and took her in his arms. “Please babe, you have to stop worrying. They’re just people.”
Kalinda nodded the planted her face in his chest. “I know that, I really do.” She looked up at him with tears in her eyes. “I grew up in an orphanage where all the kids yearned for this. No matter who they were. I yearned for it too. No one knows what if it feels like to be abandoned and unwanted like orphans have to feel. Being a child with no one to love you? It stays inside you, your whole life. I’ve never had this feeling before. Of someone who is blood wanting to be my family. I know it sounds stupid as I’m not a child anymore but I can’t help it.”
“Oh, sweetheart.” Jack groaned. “That’s not being stupid, that’s nice. It’s normal. Everyone should have family that wants them around. I’m sorry you never had that before but you have that now. Andrew and Glory are going to love you. You know that, right?”
Kalinda nodded. “I never realized just how much I wanted a family. I’ve longed to hear about my mother all my life. I never remembered even what she looked like. I was only three when she died. It was ok that I never remembered Joshua. I didn’t want to remember him. But my Mom, I always wondered about her.”
“Maybe you can get your questions answered now.”
“That’s what I’m hoping.”
Then there was a knock on the door and Kalinda froze. She didn’t move toward the door at all.
Jack grinned at her then leaned down and kissed her silly. When he broke the kiss, he could see she was dazed. He chuckled and stepped toward the door.
Opening it, he saw Renegade standing there with an older man and woman. He stepped aside and allowed the three of them to come in. The older man paused when he saw her standing there. Catching his breath, he reached out for the woman’s hand.
Her eyes too were wide as they gazed at Kalinda. “Oh my, you look so much like your mother.” Tears ran down her face and she stepped forward. “I’m your aunt Glory.”
Kalinda smiled. “I’m Kalinda Young.” Kalinda moved into her aunts’ arms and the hug she got seemed to heal something inside her she didn’t realize was broken.
The older man walked over to where they were standing. “I’m your grandfather child,” Andrew told her. “I’ve been waiting to meet you again for so long. I can’t believe the day is finally here.”
Kalinda opened her arms and hugged her grandfather. “I never knew you existed. I’ve been so lost.”
“Aww, it is okay.... you’re home now,” Andrew told her. “I feel as if I’ve got a small piece of my Luna back.”
“Please come in and sit down,” Jack offered. “I’m her husband, Jack.”
“Oh, I’m sorry.” Kalinda fussed. She flushed bright red and began falling apart she was so nervous.
Jack shook his head and leaned down to crush her lips with his own. When he was finished, she looked less dazed.
Renegade chuckled.
Andrew looked at her fondly.
Glory smiled. “Oh sweetie, relax. We aren’t here to judge you, we’re here to meet you.”
Kalinda shook her head. “I’ve waited so long to meet my family. I guess I tried too hard huh?”
“If you’d like... I have some stories to tell you about your mother.” Andrew nodded.
“I would like that very much. I don’t remember anymore what she looked like,” Kalinda stated.
Glory reached into her oversized bag and brought out a photo book. “I can do one better. I can show you what she looked like.”
Kalinda stared at the photobook with wide eyes. “Really? My mom is in there?”
“Yes, sweet baby,” Andrew told her. “Come let’s sit down and have a look.”
He led Kalinda over to the sofa and with her on one side and Glory on the other, he opened the book and began lookin
g over the pictures.
Renegade joined Jack. They both watched as Andrew and Glory introduced Kalinda to her mother.
Finally, Jack looked over at the other man. “You know, you aren’t so bad.”
Renegade grinned. “Glad to hear it.” His eyes twinkled.
Jack laughed. “Okay, I deserved that. But I want to say... You gave my woman something she didn’t even know she wanted. I thank you for that. But I also have to ask you, why? I’ve been watching you since you got here and I’ve seen the way you look around this place. What are you really doing here? It feels like you have something else going on.”
Renegade shrugged. “Maybe I’m looking for something here too. Maybe I want to start over. You know I’ve been nomad for a while now. With what happened in my family. I just couldn’t settle. My grandfather, Micha was the one that led me here in fact.”
Jack stared at him. “How is that possible?”
Renegade shrugged. “Micah Wolf wasn’t your average man. He told me to come to this very area and that here, I would find Kalinda. When I first pulled into your Gas station, I knew then. I knew she was here. I also figured out that maybe I found a place right here. To stay. To stop my wandering as it were.” He looked over at Jack. “Would that be so wrong?”
Jack stared at him for a moment then said, “No I guess that wouldn’t be so bad. Is that something you really want?”
Renegade nodded. “Yeah, I think it is. I’ve done my time in the service of my country and I’ve drifted around waiting to find a place to call home. When I left Alpine, I thought I left all my troubles behind, but I realized I needed to find my own place. I think I can find that here.” He nodded at Kalinda. “This way I can keep an eye on her too.”
“She’s my woman sunshine.” Jack glared at him. “I don’t need any help from you to keep track of her.”
Renegade shook his head. “You don’t understand something here big guy. I know all too well you’re in her corner and I’m not messing with that at all. I’m glad she’s got you and you’re the type of man to step up and take care of her.” He paused. “I don’t’ know if I can explain this in a way you’ll understand this or not. Every young man goes on his Vision Quest. It’s a right of passage in our tribe. The quest you have is what helps shape the type of man you are for the rest of your days. My quest confused me for a long time. I thought it was telling me that I would meet the woman of my dreams in a place far away from the tribal lands our family lives on, but I’ve come to realize that that wasn’t the message my quest was all about anyway. I had to come here for her but she wasn’t the woman I dreamed about. Kalinda was only part of the dream. My woman is still out there and I have a feeling she’s very close to here.” Renegade shrugged. “Maybe I’m completely wrong but this place feels like home to me and I’d like to see if this what I dreamed about.”
“Ok.” Jack shook his head. “I don’t know that I understand all that but ok.”
“I love what you guys stand for,” Renegade told him. “Most MC’s are in it for the power and the glory but not you guys. You guys area family, a good solid unit and that’s what it should be. That’s what I’ve been looking for all along. Would you have any objections if I asked your brother to join this group?”
Jack shook his head. “I wouldn’t mind at all. I think you fit in with us quite well.”
“Good, then I’ll ask him soon.”
Jack grinned. “Welcome to the family.”
“I hope so. This is a place I’d be proud to call home.”
They turned and watched as Glory handed Kalinda something else. A bundle of letters.
“I don’t know if you want to read these or not,” Glory told her. “These are your mother’s letters. She wrote them to us a long time ago. It’s hard to read what she wrote in these letters. These letters tell a little about what she was going through, living with Joshua Moon.”
Kalinda shook her head. “I don’t want to know that part of her life,” she told her aunt softly. “I want to remember her with love not sorrow or pity. I do remember some things about her but it was a long time ago that I lost her. Keep those letters. I don’t want them.”
“If you’re sure about that then can I burn them?” Glory asked. “Dad and I have read them but only once. We couldn’t read them again. I wanted to save them in case we found you one day and you needed to know them.”
Kalinda took the letters from her aunt and walked over to the fireplace. She hesitated then threw the letters into the flames.
Her mother’s past was just that, her mother’s past. She had endured a lot of pain and Kalinda wanted to rid the world of that pain if she could. She had only her future ahead of her. She took Glory’s hands in hers.
The woman nodded, as she seemed to understand. Tears formed in her eyes.
Andrew seemed to look proud if her for doing what she had. “I feel as if you were the one meant to do that. I mourned my daughter for years. It didn’t help that her killer served time. He still took her away. She deserved better. Now, maybe since we found you, she can rest in peace.” He bowed his head.
Kalinda stared at him with tears in her eyes then she hugged him.
He held her tight as a lone tear rolled down his wrinkled cheek.
Glory was full out crying. “Luna can rest now. We have found her daughter and she has made peace.”
Kalinda stepped back. “We have Rosa. She is your family too. I want you to meet her soon.”
The pair looked excited.
“A great grand?” Andrew looked hopeful.
Kalinda nodded then she went over to where Jack was standing and wrapped her arms around his waist. “We also have more.”
“More?” Jack asked as he stared at her face with love in his eyes.
“I hope you’re ready for our family to expand.” She looked over at Renegade and smiled. “You told me I would have a son and two daughters, well I certainly think this is news to share with family. We’re having another baby.”
Renegade smiled. “Micha Wolf said this. He knew. He wanted you to live on and so that your children may bring peace to the tribe as well. For all the lost years.”
Kalinda nodded at Jack and then Renegade.
Jack looked happy and excited as he grabbed her up and kissed her soundly.
The group all laughed at his actions and him lifting her up above him. “Wahoo!”
Jack then set her down as he grinned hugely. Then he turned and disappeared down the hall for a moment.
Andrew and Glory stood close to Kalinda, talking softly.
When Jack came back, he was holding Rosa in his hands. “This is our daughter Rosalinda.”
Andrew reached out his hand and touched Rosa. Then he spoke a few words in Apache as he put a gentle hand on her head and closed his eyes. When he opened them, he saw the look Rosa was giving him.
Renegade spoke a few words in Apache to the other man.
Andrew answered him. He then turned to Jack and Kalinda. “I have blessed your child in Apache. This should have and would have been done the day she was born but it is not too late. I hope I have not offended anyone here.”
Jack reached out and laid his hand on the other man’s shoulder. “Not at all. Thank you for blessing our daughter. I hope you are around enough to teach both Kalinda and our children about their past and what it means to be exactly who they are.”
“I would be honored to do just that, young man.” Andrew nodded.
“You will always be welcomed here,” Jack promised. Turning to look at his wife, he smiled.
Kalinda smiled back. Then she paused to look over at her family. Jack and Rosa, Renegade, Andrew and Glory. Her family! The Youngs would be joining them later for evening meal and she knew Andrew and Glory would fit right in, even though they were a different generation.
She stilled for a moment as a breeze came into the room. She looked around to see what window they may have left open. Then she smelled it.
Cloves.
Kalinda
smiled brightly.
Finally....All was good in her world.

About K. J. Dahlen
Author of the bestselling, award winning Bratva Brothers and Satan Spawns MC Series...
I live in a small town (population495) in Wisconsin. From my deck, I can see the Mississippi River on one side and the bluffs, where eagles live and nest on the other side. I live with my husband Dave and dog Buddy. My two children are grown and I have two grandchildren. I love to watch people and that has helped me with my writing. I often use people I watch as characters in my books and I always try to give my characters some of my own values and habits.
I love to create characters and put them in a troubling situation then sit back and let them do all the work. My characters surprise even me at times. At some point in the book, they take on a life of their own and the twists and turns they create becomes the story. Of all the stories, I could write I found I like mystery/thrillers the best. I like to keep my readers guessing until the very end of the book.
