Several minutes later, with both their bodies still in motion, he stiffened, his face contorted, and he grunted from somewhere down within the depths of his stomach. The dam finally broke. Vie again screamed out in ecstasy, pleasure, and pure bliss.
For close to five weeks, Officer Vie had been spending countless hours with her target, learning everything possible about him. His crew, his business dealings, and overall lifestyle, spinning a black widow web of deceit.
Her partner, Sgt. Stokely, took everything in stride. Gathering all the information he could to put his most hated rival in prison for good, or the one place he most preferred…the ground.
Vie was truly doing her job to the fullest. Little did she know, Q was working undercover as well. He knew he had to investigate Scar's and Asia stories completely. Neither one of them could be trusted enough to take a woman’s life. Q also believed he saw something genuine in Vie that he hoped he could touch, before it lead her to her own demise. Maybe Stokley had fed her lies or even set her up to take him down.
Q had been wining and dining her, trying to give Vie a chance to know the real him. If she would break down and be truthful with him, he would spare her life. But if she chose to continue on the road Stokely had placed her on, he would be forced to kill her.
If life had taught him one lesson, it was to not leave any loose ends. Destroy your enemies completely. This night, Q had used himself physically as a last resort. If this didn't convince Vie to be totally honest, nothing would.
“So have you had any interesting cases recently?” Q asked as he was exiting the bed on his way to the bathroom.
“No in fact its been real boring as of late.”
“Oh really, well you know this is a small town, have you ever considered moving to a larger city?” Q shouted over the sound of the water running into the sink.
He grabbed a wash cloth and soaped it up and began to lather the hairs above his shaft. Vie stepped into the bathroom with him.
“Let me handle that for you,” Vie said as she grabbed the soapy cloth from his hands.
She placed the toilet lid down and sat on top of it. She then pulled him closer and started to wipe his manhood. Q was fighting the feeling to keep his dick from getting back erect. Today was Vie's final day to come clean. He pulled her up and placed her on the sink. Q looked Vie directly in her eyes.
“Vie I feel like it's something you are holding back from me. If you want to continue this relationship, I need to know you are being completely upfront with me.”
“What do you mean? I have been totally honest with you Quentel.”
“And there's nothing about you I need to know?” Q asked, giving her yet another chance.
Vie grabbed his chin gave him a small moist kiss and spoke.
“I promise you, I have been completely... totally... and emphatically honest with you.”
Q knew at that moment that Vie would have to meet the same fate as Stokely.
Chapter Twenty-One
"Crew Love"
Q and the crew sat in the back of the club discussing their next move. He knew that Stokely and his new partner Vie, had to be dealt with. His and the crew’s lives had come full circle. He had everything a man could want, a beautiful wife, four beautiful children, and he had his best friend back in Tee.
Either he would have to move from Rockingham, or move them out the way, he liked the latter. “The rock” was his home and it would belong to him until the casket was closed.
“Ok, so I'm open for all ideas, but let me let y’all know that they want me and only me. I know we are older and we have families to consider now. So if anyone wants out of this, now is the time to say something. I give you my word that no one will look at you differently.”
“Man fuck that, we crew for life, if they want you they get us…all of us,” June shouted.
“Nah, I don't want to put that on nobody who ain’t ready to deal with the consequences. Let me remind you, they working with the feds on this. So once they come up missing, the heat coming down on me and anyone with me."
“Shit, I like it hot B, that's why I moved to the south,” Dame added.
Everyone laughed.
“So does anyone have a plan?” Q stated the question again.
Everyone just looked around at each other, until finally, Baby Rasta spoke.
“I think I got something mun. Me mother always told me to catch a fish you have to use some bait.”
“No doubt, use a person’s own self-interest, to lure them in,” Tim added.
“Exactly mun.”
Baby Rasta gave the crew the whole run down on the plan he had devised. In between, he would make a couple of phone calls then come back smiling. It looked like he was orchestrating a major event, and he had just booked the main act.
“Rasta, boy you a fucking genius, nigga,” Q said while extending his hand for some dap. Rasta met Q's hand with his own, then they pulled each other close and man hugged.
“I love you, my nigga, you taking a big chance and don't think I will ever forget this.”
“Respect mun, and don't worry, me own Jamaica mun.”
Baby Rasta decided that the best way to handle Officers Vie and Stokely was to get them out of Rockingham and from underneath the guidance of the FBI. He also knew nothing could ever come back to Q's door step. So wherever they ended up, the police would have to be willing to play ball. He knew of no better place than his hometown of Kingston, Jamaica.
Rasta had called up some high level officials in the Jamaican government and police department. Everyone knew how zealous both Stokely and Vie where. They would jump at the opportunity to arrest what they thought to be an international criminal and drug-lord. This would ensure national, maybe world news coverage. Now the only thing left was for them to take the bait and he could get these fishes fried.
__________
It was 3:31pm when Stokely received the call from his assistant about some man with a foreign accent trying to reach him about an important matter. One possibly involving national security and world politics, she was told.
“And you said he was calling from what country?”
“He said he was calling from the Jamaican Constabulary Force in Kingston, Jamaica. He said to let you know he had already spoken with the state police and he needed your assistance immediately,” Stokely’s secretary repeated.
Officer Stokely walked into his office, holding the small paper with the man’s name and number on it. He made sure he shut the door securely behind him before he took his seat and picked up the phone.
“This is Commander Rankins, how may I assist you?” the heavily accented voice spoke.
“Hi yes, Commander Rankins, this is Sgt. Stokely with the Rockingham police department, I understand you have been trying to reach me.”
“Well yes sir, I have. I have a very important situation that I am hoping you can help me on.”
“I don't completely understand how I could be of any service to you, in my small town, but I'm all ears.”
“Well actually sir, you are in perfect position. It has come to our attention that one of the most infamous international drug lords is currently residing in your city. He has known drug affiliates in that area, are you familiar with a gentleman by the name of Quentel Jackson?” Just the mention of Q's name perked Officer Stokely up.
“Why yes, I am very familiar with him, he has been a target of mine for some time,” Stokely responded.
“Great, we have an undercover officer conducting surveillance, so we are 100% sure that our target is residing in your town and conducting business with Mr. Jackson. We are not personally interested in Mr. Jackson, just Mr. Brenton. But if you help us, we can surely help you. Oh and Mr. Stokely, this will bring your small force tremendous attention, all of the news outlets will be covering his capture and his extradition back to Jamaica. Can we count on your help in this matter?”
“Mr. Rankin, I consider it an honor and my duty,” Stokely said with a big smile across h
is face.
“Again, thank you, and I will have our undercover officer contact you first thing in the morning.”
Both men hung up, pleased with the conversation.
“Wanda!!!! Get Vie on the phone for me and tell her it's an emergency.”
__________
Officer Stokley and Vie sat anxiously waiting on the arrival of their Jamaican contact. Both had arrived extra early to the office that morning. Stokley had even put on a neck tie.
Breaking the silence, Vie asked “What time did she say she would be arriving again?”
“9:00 am, I didn't think to ask her our time or hers.”
Vie gave him an are you serious? look before responding. “I'm sure she meant our time.”
“Yea you probably right, it’s just 8:55 so she should be here shortly.”
At exactly 9:00am, the young attractive Jamaican officer walked thru the door. Vie instantly noticed her beautiful almond eyes.
It had taken Q and Baby Rasta nearly two days to convince Inga to go along with the plan. Not because she didn't want to help, but because she wasn't sure if her acting skills would be enough. After practicing over and over with Van, she finally felt ready for the undertaking.
Inga walked directly up to Stokely and in her native accent, introduced herself.
“Hi, my name is Detective Inga Yuma, I’m with the Jamaican Constabulary Force. You must be Officer Stokely.”
“Sgt. Stokely,” he corrected her. “And this is Officer Fuller.”
“Pleasure to meet you both, I look to forward to working with you guys.”
Inga played her role so perfectly, she deserved an Oscar. She told Vie and Stokely about how she had been trailing Q and Rasta for some time and she was sure where they could find them both. And that once they had Rasta back in Jamaica they were sure they could get a conviction on him and turn him against Q. Both Stokely and Vie’s mouths watered at thoughts of the accolades they would receive.
For Stokely, the idea of getting Quentel Jackson was an added bonus.
Inga set it up for them to arrange a sting operation for the following morning at the crew’s club. She told the officers she had intel that a major deal would be going down that afternoon and this would be the perfect time to make the arrest. After all the final plans were worked out, Inga dismissed herself and left Vie and Stokely to one another.
“She was very impressive, don't you think Ms. Fuller?” Stokely asked Vie.
“Yeah, she seems to be a professional,” Vie responded, not really wanting to give her too much credit.
“Well come this time tomorrow, we will not only be famous, but will have wrapped up our major case as well.”
“Yeah, I can probably name the big city department I want to go to,” Vie said with a laugh, knowing she meant every word.
__________
The following morning, Q got set to leave for his meeting with the crew. He looked down at Bear Jr.
“Look out for her, big boy,” Q said while patting Bear Jr.’s huge head.
His bark shook the entire house when he answered Q’s request.
“Don’t worry about me, Quentel…I mean, don’t worry about us. All the girls will be here, so everything will be fine love,” Van continued.
“Aiight Ma…but…still, be careful.”
“No dear, you be careful.”
“I will Van...I will,” He kissed her, then stood to leave.
He thought for a moment about what he was about to do. It bothered him, but he was left with no choice. He shook the thought away, looked back at Van and held up one finger.
Van frowned, then held up four.
“What about your little boy and girl?” she said, caressing her stomach.
Quentel smiled, then held up four fingers.
“I love you Ma.”
“I love you more, Quentel Jackson.”
Q and the whole crew met up at the club as planned. They had Ms. Janie cater in some breakfast while they waited to put Baby Rasta’s plan into action. Mrs. Janie had made a full breakfast including bacon, eggs, toast, hash browns, grits, pancakes and much more.
Dame was looking at the grits like he half expected them to eat him. He still had not been in the south long enough to take a liking to grits or the liver mush that Poo and Tim were stuffing in their mouths.
June and Q began to tap their orange juice glasses.
“Listen up niggas, listen up. First I want to raise my glass to my family. A family that has stood by me, and me by them, through any and everything. We have all been tested and certified, and I want to say from everything that's good in a nigga, I love each and every one of you. We are more than blood brothers we are brothers joined together by our faith in each other.”
Q motioned his glass toward Rasta.
“And to you, Baby Rasta, when this all over, we going to lay on a beach in Jamaica and throw back some big cigars, have some drinks and…” He looked around first, before he continued “some bad bitches!”
Everyone laughed.
“Again, I love you niggas, Salute!!!!!”
The whole crew began chanting.
“Am I my brother's keeper? Yes I am!”
Meanwhile, the squad cars began pulling up outside. Stokely was busy placing everyone into position. He had the biggest smile on his face and Vie was standing right beside him, matching his smirk.
Vie willed herself to focus on the satisfaction that would come from ridding the world of these lowlifes. In her mind, it didn't matter how good a person Q was, or how many mind-numbing orgasms he could deliver. Even if he wasn’t the man Stokely claimed him to be, the mere fact that he kept such company, was reason enough for her to see him go down.
“Ok, first team on my command take down the front door,” Stokely yelled into the walkie-talkie.
The battering ram hit the front door with enough force to knock the door from its hinges. One after another, the swat officers piled into the club where Q and the rest of the crew sat. None of them made any motion; they just continued to eat their breakfast, totally ignoring everything going on around them. Stokely, Vie, and Inga were the last two officers to enter the room occupied by the crew.
“Well, well, well, look at what we got here. Mr. Jackson this has been a long time coming, but I knew we would get you,” Stokely said with a wide grin.
“Yes sir, you got me, but when did having breakfast with your friends become a crime?” Q asked, flashing his own smile.
Stokely looked down at the table of food. He was expecting to see drugs and money. His face now wore a look of disgust.
“Bring in the canines,” he yelled into his police radio.
On command, the large German Shepherds were brought in. The dogs searched and sniffed the entire building, coming up with nothing. All the officers wore a bewildered expression. The crew never budged from their position.
“Well if you good officers are through interrupting our meal, could you please show yourselves out the door that you kicked down, coming in?” Q uttered.
“Not so fast, Mr. Jackson, you are in the company of an international criminal and we could charge all of you with harboring,” Vie sarcastically informed him.
Q stuck out both his hands, suggesting that she handcuff him.
“Well handcuff me, Vie. I mean, it’s only fair. You were my prisoner last week, when I was blowing your back out right? I still have scars from you digging your nails into me.”
Stokely shot a disappointed look at a red-faced Vie, then turned to Inga.
“Detective Yuma, what would you like to do? We can take them all in if you’d like.”
“No sir, I don't see the need. I suggest we just take in Mr. Brenton. Once we have him in custody, we can get him to flip on the other gentlemen and secure a tight case.”
“Excellent,” Officer Stokely responded.
They handcuffed Baby Rasta and placed him in the back of one of the patrol cars. Just as quickly as they came, they left.
The plan was
going exactly as designed. Baby Rasta was to spend the next four days in the Rockingham County jail before being extradited back to Kingston, Jamaica. Accompanying him would be Sgt. Stokely, Officer Fuller and supposedly, Detective Yuma. Once there, Rasta and Inga would make sure their new guests got familiar with the island. So much so, that they would never return.
