Hopelessly Devoted (Bayou Devils MC Book 1) Page 27

by A. M. Myers

“Kitten,” he rasps, his eyes glowing with a primal need that sends a shiver down my spine, “you’re getting in that shower one way or another. How quickly you do it, however, determines if you get this cock or not.”

He thrusts into my hand, and I moan before pushing him off me and jumping out of the bed as he laughs. Glancing back at him, I pause and turn to just look at him. He’s sprawled out across my bed, naked as the day he was born with his hand on his chest as he looks back at me with love shining in his eyes. Happiness swells up inside, me and it feels like I may just burst from it.

“Hey, Logan,” I whisper, and a soft smile pulls at his lips.

  “Yeah, Gorgeous?”

  “I love you.”

His smile slowly melts away as he just stares at me, the intensity in his eyes overpowering as he meets my gaze and holds it there, like he can’t physically look away. There’s so much that passes between us as we look at each other across my bedroom, and I can’t believe that I ever doubted this. Our connection is present in every single look, every little touch, and I hate that we wasted time skirting around each other.

He sits up and scoots to the edge of the bed and holds his hand out to me. I go to him without a drop of hesitation and straddle his lap as he wraps his arms around my waist. As he smiles up at me and pulls me closer, I wrap my arms around his neck and lean down, gently pressing my lips to his. He trails his hand over my hair, cradling the back of my head as he takes control from me and teases my lips with the tip of his tongue.

I sigh, melting into him, and he runs his tongue slowly along the roof of my mouth, and I tremble in his arms. Humming his approval, he stands with me in his arms and starts walking to the bathroom without pulling away from my lips. It’s a little awkward but we make it to the bathroom, and he presses one last sweet kiss to my lips before pulling away just enough to turn on the water.

“Was that your way of saying, ‘I love you, too’?” I ask, and he smiles.

  “No.”

I scowl and he laughs, reaching up and smoothing the crinkle in my forehead.

“I can’t find the right words for what you mean to me, Ali. Every time I think I’ve got a grip on this emotion, you do something and my feelings for you grow, eclipsing the sensation I just felt moments before. Each time I think I couldn’t possibly love you any more, you go and prove me wrong, and a simple word like ‘love’ just doesn’t do it anymore.”

“Well, that’ll do,” I whisper, unable to catch my breath after his beautiful words, and he laughs. I’ve never felt more loved than I do in this moment, and I throw up a massive thanks to the universe that all the stars aligned when they did and brought Logan and I together. He kisses me again and walks us into the shower, careful not to stick my face under the water, and I grin at him.

His brow arches, and I reach behind me, cupping my hand so it fills with water. He starts shaking his head. “Don’t do it, Kitten.”

  “Or what?”

“Or I won’t spank your ass this time since you seem to like it so damn much.”

I pout and the water falls out of my hand. He laughs and leans in, biting my neck. “Don’t pout, Sweetheart. I can think of lots of other things that we can do to cheer you up.”

  “Such as?”

He smiles, sliding me down the front of his body, and my breath catches as my feet hit the tile, and he spins me around, pressing my chest up against the tile wall. I gasp, and he circles his tongue on my neck before kissing the same spot, and my gasp turns into a moan.

“Press your hands to the wall above your head,” he whispers in my ear, and I suck in a breath as I do as I’m told. He nudges my feet apart as his hands slips around my body, and he pulls me away from the wall so he can cup my breasts. I move my hips back, pressing against his cock, and he softly groans in my ear, sending another shiver twisting down my spine.

“You want something, Sweetheart?” he asks, and I nod. “You think you’re ready for me?”

  I nod. “Yes.”

His teeth sink into my ear as one of his hands travels down my body, slipping between my legs. I moan when he brushes against my clit, and he growls, his finger sliding into me with ease.

“Oh, you’re so wet, Baby. You feeling a little desperate?” He slowly pulls his finger out and slides it back in – too slowly – and it feels like a form of torture.

“Yes, Logan,” I moan, rocking my hips as I try to get some friction. He pulls away from me, and I cry out as he spins me around and presses my back to the wall. With wide, needy eyes, I watch him as he grips my chin in his hand, hard, but not enough to hurt me, and leans in, moving my head to the side as he presses his lips to my neck. My eyes flutter closed, and he bites a line up my neck all the way to my ear, my body shaking violently in his grasp.

“God, you’re so responsive,” he mumbles, kissing behind my ear as he takes one of my nipples between his thumb and finger. “You have no idea how hard you get me. Everything you do turns me on but watching you come undone beneath me, shaking as your need takes over your body and you lose yourself in me – nothing is better than that.”

“Please, Logan,” I gasp, reaching out and wrapping my fingers around his cock. He drops his head back as I move my hand up and down his shaft, trying to drive him crazy enough that he doesn’t feel the need to endlessly tease me today. “I need you.”

His head falls forward, and his eyes snap open, boring into me as he takes a step toward me. My hand falls away, and he grabs my wrists, pinning them above my head. “Say that again.”

It takes me a moment to remember what I just said but when I do, I smile up at him. “I need you.”

His hand cups my cheek, and he leans in, pressing his forehead to mine and closing his eyes. I watch him, wondering what’s going on in his head right now but I don’t get long to speculate. Gray eyes blink open, and in the next second, he’s spinning me to face the wall again as he grips my hips in his hands.

“Hands on the wall, Alison,” he barks, and my heart jumps in my chest as I obey his command. I need to figure out what the hell I just said and do it again – often. He kicks my feet apart and lines his cock up at my entrance before driving forward. I gasp, my fingers pressing into the tile harder as he stretches me open and holds himself there for a moment. Just when I’m about to glance back and ask if he’s okay, he lifts my feet off the floor so he doesn’t have to crouch down and pulls out of me.

“Hold on to that goddamn wall,” he growls as he drives in and pulls out, and one of my hands slips. He takes a step closer to the wall and it’s a little easier to keep myself upright, and he pulls me back at the same time that he thrusts forward. Something between a gasp and a moan slips out of my mouth, and my mind blanks, only able to focus on holding myself up and his cock plunging into me.

I lose track of time. It’s only him and I as he fucks me better than anyone else ever has, and I know that I’ll never find another man like him. I’m addicted to every little thing about him from the way he smells to the way he is only with me, and I know that I’m ruined. There will never be a man that reaches the depths of my soul like Logan does. He fills in all the gaps and erases the loneliness that I hadn’t even realized was there until the day I met him.

“Logan,” I cry out, my voice bouncing off the tile walls of the bathroom as my body tenses and my pussy grips his length.

“Fuck,” he groans loudly, setting me back on my feet and pulling out of me. “On your knees, Kitten.”

I spin around and drop to my knees as he wraps his hand around his cock, pumping up and down. His eyes are on fire as he gazes down at me, licking his lips. I open my mouth and he groans, slipping his fingers into my hair as his breathing quickens. Leaning forward, I suck the tip into my mouth and he groans loudly, his head falling back as I start to suck. His grip in my hair tightens and cum splashes against the back of my throat as his cock jerks and he continues to groan.

I release him with a pop, and he reaches down, pulling me to my feet a
s he buries his head in my neck and sighs.

“God, I fucking love you, Ali,” he says, and I grin as I hold him tighter and nod in agreement. This is forever.

  Chapter Twenty-Nine

  Alison

Gazing out the window as the trees blur past us, I sigh, relaxed for the first time in weeks. Just being out here on this deserted highway, I feel free. I don’t have to worry that someone’s watching me or that this isn’t going to end well. I still have no idea where he’s taking me but I can’t say that I care all that much right now because I just want to stay here for a while – in this safe space where life is easy. The truck slows, and I glance over at Logan as he turns onto a gravel road almost completely engulfed by trees on either side. We bump along for a few feet before Logan stops and throws the truck in park.

“Where are we?” I ask, and he just smiles as he opens the truck door and runs down the road a couple more feet to unlock and swing open a large metal gate. I watch him through the windshield as he makes his way back to the truck.

“Where are we?” I ask again as soon as he slides into the truck, and he grins, looking like a mischievous boy instead of the hard man I’m used to.

  “We’re almost there.”

Letting out a huff, I turn back to the road in front of us and cross my arms over my chest. “Almost where?” I grumble to myself as I rest my forehead against the window and watch the trees go by again. The forest is so thick here that I can’t see more than six feet into the brush. I’m usually not an “outdoorsy” person but I can’t deny that I like the feeling of safety that this place settles over me – whatever it is.

We pass the gate and he stops the truck again, jumping out, and I peek behind me as he closes the gate and locks it before double-checking that it’s secure. Is it normal to get mushy about stupid stuff like that? I mean, it must be because watching him make sure that we’re safe here warms my insides and only makes me love him more. He climbs back in the truck and glances over at me, laughing when he sees the look on my face.

Well, I’m glad he thinks this is amusing.

I promise myself that I will get some retribution as he grabs my hand and laces our fingers together, lifting our hands and pressing his lips to my skin. I melt, and he winks at me before pulling me closer and laying my hand on his thigh. As I cuddle into his side, he wraps one arm around me and starts off down the road again, the gravel crunching under the tires.

He gives me a little squeeze as the trees open up, revealing a clearing that’s almost a perfect circle with the forest fencing us in. The dirt road leads to a cute little log cabin in the middle of the meadow with a little porch attached. Two white rocking chairs sit on either side of a bright yellow door, and I smile as I peek up at him. Without looking at me, he leans down and kisses my forehead as he pulls to a stop in front of the house.

“What is this place?” I ask, my voice soft as I look around in wonder. I don’t know what it is about this place but being here, something settles inside me.

“It was my grandparents’. They left it to me when they died,” he says, grabbing my hand and lacing our fingers. He tugs on my arm and pulls me into his lap as I shake my head at him.

“It’s gorgeous,” I tell him, peeking over my shoulder at the cabin before looking back at him.

“No one knows about this place,” he whispers, trailing his fingers down my cheek, and I lean into him as my eyes drift shut. “You’ll be safe out here but if you don’t want to stay, that’s okay, too.”

My heart warms at the fact that he’s giving me a choice, and I lean down, gently pressing my lips to his. “I want to stay.”

“I was really hoping you would say that.” His lips brush mine as he speaks, and I let out a breath before his hand slips into my hair and he claims my mouth. I moan and wrap both hands around the back of his neck as he nips at my bottom lip, and his tongue slips past my lips and teases me. He pulls away, breathing hard as he pushes down on my hips and lifts off the bench seat, grinding up into me.

“There’s no one around for miles, you could just go naked all day,” he rasps, his voice deeper and more gravelly than a moment ago.

“Noted. Why don’t you give me a tour?”

He groans, and I giggle as he pushes me off him with a glare. “Well, let’s go then but you’re gonna pay for this later.”

  “Looking forward to it.”

He climbs out of the truck and holds his hand out for me, helping me down before he goes to the back and lowers the tailgate. When he comes back, he has a bag and big cooler in his hands. Bear trots along beside him, his tongue hanging out of the side of his mouth, and I chuckle at him.

“Wanna check out the house first?” He’s got a wicked grin on his face, and I shake my head as I try to fight back my own smile. I know if we go into that cabin, there will be no tour. Laughing, he nods and sets the stuff down on the porch before grabbing my hand again and lacing our fingers. As we walk away from the cabin, I peek up at him, unable to believe just how happy I am. It hits me out of the blue sometimes. I’ll just be going about my day then I’ll look at him and it blindsides me, a giant rush of happiness, and it’s hard to believe that this is my life. And yet, it’s hard to remember how it was before he waltzed into my world. Or even who I was.

He’s changed me but it’s for the better. All the parts of me that used to be closed off and guarded are now wide open, and he owns each of them. There isn’t a single piece of my heart and soul that doesn’t belong to Logan, and that doesn’t scare me anymore. It’s thrilling, and I’m excited for what our future together brings.

“So, basically, it’s just trees,” Logan says, chuckling, as we stop a little ways from the cabin, and it takes me a moment to remember what we were doing.

“How far does your property go?” I ask when I realize that he’s showing me the land.

“Uh, let’s see. It goes all the way to the road and about two miles on each side. And then three or so miles past that lake down there.” He points to one end of the clearing where I can just barely make out the glint of sunlight reflecting off the water.

“How long have you had it?”

He tucks me into his side and leads me over to the back of the house where another little porch sits with matching rocking chairs. He sits down in one and pulls me into his lap as we look out at the water which is much more visible from this angle.

“My granddad bought it in fifty-one, and he built this house for my grandma. My dad was raised out here, and then Grandma passed away when I was ten but Granddad couldn’t stand to leave this place so he stayed here until he died eleven years ago.”

I let my gaze wander over the land again, his story adding a richness to it that wasn’t there before. “That’s beautiful.”

“I always thought so. They were crazy about each other even when I was a kid. I spent so much time out here since it was just Mom and me and she worked so much. My old man wasn’t around much, and when he was, he usually dropped me off here, too. They were good to my mom though and babysat me for her even though their son had kind of abandoned us. Actually, I think they kind of felt guilty about the way he turned out.”

“You aren’t close?” I ask, cuddling closer and laying my head on his shoulder.

He lets out a sardonic laugh and shakes his head. “No, not really. He’s in my life but just barely.”

“That’s terrible.” My heart aches for him once again. I can’t imagine my life without my parents.

“It’s probably better that he was never around. He’s kind of obsessed with money, and he’s always looking for the next get-rich-quick scheme. Toxic is what the shrink called him when he took my mom to court for custody.”

I sit up and look in his eyes. “I’m sorry, Babe. That sounds awful.”

“I think I turned out all right,” he says, an easy smile on his face, and I nod.

  “Yes, you sure did.”

“So, about that tour of the cabin now?” he asks, his eyes heating, and I wiggle
in his lap. My stomach growls, and he sighs as I throw my head back and laugh.

“I don’t know. I’m kind of hungry,” I joke, and he shakes his head.

“Yeah, I heard that,” he grumbles before standing with me in his arms. He sets me on my feet and points to the back door. “Inside that door is a blanket. Will you grab it and meet me over by the lake?”

“Uh, sure,” I say, glancing back at the door. “What are we doing?”

He starts off toward the front of the cabin. “I packed some food for us.”

“What? Like a picnic?” I ask, scrunching my nose up in confusion. I try to imagine Logan setting up a cute little picnic, and the picture is so absurd that I laugh.

“Yeah, something like that. Just grab the blanket, Kitten.” He disappears around the corner, and I shake my head as I open the back door and grab the blanket that’s folded up on top of a dryer.

“Well, you’re just full of surprises,” I mutter to myself as I close the door behind me and start off toward the lake.

  * * * *

Crickets chirp and frogs croak as the fire crackles and dances in front of us, warming my skin as night descends. I cuddle into Logan as we lie next to each other, stretched out on a blanket in the grass just off the back porch of the cabin. Stars begin to pop out in the clear sky above us, and I roll to my back, staring up at them. Today was absolutely perfect in every way imaginable. After we ate lunch down by the lake, Logan showed me the old tree house that his granddad built for him on one side of the meadow, a couple of feet into the forest. Then we spent the afternoon fishing down at the dock, and not once during that whole time did I think about the situation back home or the mess we’re going back to tomorrow.

“Are you sure we have to go back?” I ask and turn my head to look at him as he grins.

“Yeah, Kitten. We gotta go back but we can come here anytime you want.”

I nod and turn back to the stars. “I’d like that,” I whisper, and he slips his arm around my waist and pulls me closer.
