“Depends on what you consider to be reasonable,” Nicola said under his breath. “I want to make it clear to you that she won’t be involved in anything illegal. She’s worked too hard to be the subject of a federal investigation just because there was no one else to be the fall guy.”
“I’m hurt that you’d think I’d do such a thing,” Dmitry said, taking a sip of his wine. “If I wanted to frame someone, it wouldn’t be a V.P in Marketing. You can’t go to jail for bad PR, but I do appreciate your candor.”
“I just want to make sure that we’re clear.” He checked his face in the bathroom mirror. “So…what favor do you want from me.”
Dmitry smiled. A man of his word to the death. That was why he liked Nicola Agosto. “Two words. Luke. Johnson.”
