MARLA WOLFBLADE—Princess of Hythria. Sister of Lernen Wolfblade and mother of Damin. Married five times, she is also the mother of Kalan and Narvell Hawksword of Elasapine.
RORIN MARINER—Lower Arrion of the Sorcerers’ Collective. Cousin of Luciena Mariner.

JAYMES OF KIRKLAND—Karien page attached to Lord Laetho’s retinue during the Karien-Medalon war. Now a Raider in Hythria. Brother to Mikel.
MIKEL OF KIRKLAND—Karien page attached to Lord Laetho’s retinue. Jaymes’s younger brother. Appointed as Adrina’s page following his escape from Medalon. Ordered to be executed by Damin Wolf-blade for attempting to poison the demon child. Also known as Mica.
XAPHISTA—The Overlord. God of the Kariens. Destroyed by the demon child.

ALARIC—Crown prince of Fardohnya.
HABLET—King of the Fardohnyans. Has countless illegitimate children and thirteen legitimate daughters. His heir is Alaric, his only legitimate son.
NAVEEN RAVEVE—Chamberlain of the Fardohnyan court. Naveen is a former court’esa who makes his fortune collecting bribes.
MEYRICK KABAR—General of the Fardohnyan army. Former captain of the harem guard in Talabar.
CHARISEE—Fardohnyan slave raised to serve Princess Rakaia. One of Hablet’s illegitimate daughters.
RAKAIA—Princess of Fardohnya. One of Hablet’s legitimate daughters sent to Hythria to marry Lord Frederak Branador.
About the Author
JENNIFER FALLON is the author of twenty-one full-length novels and a number of published short stories in genres ranging from horror to science fiction. In addition to her own fantasy series — The Demon Child Trilogy, The Hythrun Chronicles, the Second Sons Trilogy, The Tide Lords quadrilogy and the Rift Runners series — she has written both a tie-in novel and short fiction for the TV series Stargate SG1, an official Zorro story, a novella for the Legends of Australian Fantasy Anthology and has her own superhero —The Violet Valet.
Jennifer has a Master’s degree from the Creative Arts faculty of Queensland University of Technology. A computer trainer and application specialist in her ‘day job’, Jennifer currently works in the IT industry and spends at least a month each year working at Scott Base in Antarctica.
