A Vampire's Kiss Page 4

“Sounds good to me,” Brett said. “Shall we start down the street, then?”

“Let’s go,” Ryan replied. In the distance, about a block and a half away, he could see a long line-up leading to heavy wooden front doors. Four large bouncers stood guard with their arms crossed, holding the line of people at bay. “That seems like as good a place as any,” Ryan said, nodding towards the building.

“Dude, that line looks like it would take hours to get in,” Brett said. “I’m ready to party now.”

“Well, let’s just get closer and have a look,” Ryan replied, and set off towards the club. He knew from experience that anywhere there were bouncers standing around looking bored, there was a way to get in that didn’t involve the front door.

When they got closer to the club, Ryan saw that the line waiting outside was even worse than he had anticipated. There were literally hundreds of people, standing three-deep, waiting to get in.

“A place this popular has got to be good, huh?” Ryan said aloud. His friends murmured something in agreement, but Ryan was already looking for a path to the bouncers. He had an ace in his back pocket that he was willing to pull out immediately.

“Wait here,” Ryan told his friends as they got within a hundred feet of the entrance. “Don’t follow me unless I motion to you. I’m going to go talk to the bouncers.”

“Pfft, good luck,” Jamie snorted. Then, he looked somewhat surprised at his own snarkiness, and added, more sincerely, “seriously, good luck bro. I hope we can get in.”

Ryan nodded, and started walking towards the front of the club. Not a direct beeline – he knew he had to be more subtle than that. He walked in beside some of the people waiting in line, stopping by a few of them to ask for the name of the club, which he learned was Divinity, and pausing by some others to ask about the popularity of the place. Everyone said the same thing: Divinity was the place to be this week in Ibiza. Some of the guys mentioned crudely that both the hottest and the easiest girls frequented the place, which only increased Ryan’s resolve to getting him and his friends in.

In time, he reached the front of the line. He made eye contact with one of the bouncers – a large, intimidating man with a heavy beard – and nodded to him surreptitiously. Then, he made a motion with his hand of the universal sign for money – rubbing his thumb against his first two fingers. The bouncer looked around, then slowly made his way over.

“Hey man,” Ryan began, “how are the crowds looking inside?”

“Lots of girls,” the bouncer said gruffly. “Perfect for you.”

“Nice, nice. And how long does this line-up take?”

“Hah, these idiots aren’t getting inside for hours,” the bouncer laughed. “Unless they come in a group with a five-to-one girl-to-guy ratio, we’re not letting them in.”

“Makes sense, makes sense” Ryan said thoughtfully. “Say, I’ve got two friends with me, and we just landed from the United States. Both guys. I thought we’d find a good time inside tonight.”

  “Smart man,” the bouncer replied.

“But the problem is, we don’t have fifteen other girls with us quite yet.”

  “That is a problem.”

“And you seem like a good guy, so of course you’d understand our interest of getting in before the sun goes down.”

  “Of course.”

“So, shake my hand,” Ryan said simply, and extended his right hand. The bouncer took it, and found three fifty dollar bills that Ryan had discretely placed inside his palm.

“The same once we get in,” Ryan said after the bouncer has had a chance to count the bills.

“You know, I don’t typically do this,” the bouncer said, “but you seem like a good guy. Call your friends over to the side—” he motioned to an alley by the building “—in five minutes, and I’ll meet you there. Make sure that nobody else sees you.”

Absolutely,” Ryan said, and slipped back into the midst of the line-up. He saw Brett and Jamie standing right where he left them, and made his way over to them.

“So?” Jamie asked when he saw Ryan. Ryan spread his arms in an apologetic gesture and frowned in response.

“Didn’t work, huh?” Brett asked, the disappointment clear on his face. “Well, we can always try some other place…”

The corner of Ryan’s mouth twitched up in the beginnings of a smile. Just like he remembered Jamie doing after meeting Ashley. Then he burst out laughing, embracing both Jamie and Brett by the shoulders.

“Just kidding, guys!” Ryan said. “Of course it worked. Did you expect anything other than excellence from me?”

“Whew, you really had me for a minute there,” Brett sighed. “Don’t do that again!”

“I’ll try to contain myself,” Ryan promised.

“So what do we do, then?” Jamie asked. “Are we supposed to just walk over to the front doors, or…?”

“No way,” Ryan said. “Once of the bouncers said he’ll meet us by the side of the building in a few minutes. We should make our way over there.” Then, Ryan noticed that his vision was starting to become a little blurry. “Perfect timing, too,” he added, “as I think the tequila’s just starting to hit me. How about you guys?”

“Yea, me too,” Jamie replied. “I feel great. Ready to slay some pussy.”

“Oh, you’ll get your chance, tonight,” Ryan laughed. “The bouncer said the crowd inside is almost all female.”

“Really?” Jamie’s eyes grew wide. “If that’s the case, tonight’s going to be fucking epic.”

“Let’s get going, then, and get it all finally started,” Ryan said, and walked out towards the side of the building where the bouncer told them to meet. He checked over his shoulder to make sure his friends were following, and, satisfied that they were, made his way to his destination.

The bouncer was already there when Ryan and his friends arrived. “Follow me,” the bouncer announced as he turned down the alley. Ryan and Jamie and Brett all trailed him to a set of dilapidated looking doors at the far end of the building. The bouncer knocked once, and Ryan heard a click. Then the doors swung open.

Ryan could see a long set of stairs going deep into the ground past the doors. And, he thought he could just barely make out the sound of house and dance music playing in the distance. The bouncer motioned for Ryan and his friends to go inside, which they did, and then he closed the doors behind them and led them down the stairs.

As they all descended, Ryan could start to really hear the noises of the imminent party. Halfway down, the bass of loud music began to be really noticeable. When they finally reached the bottom of the stairwell, another set of metal doors stood closed.

“You said there’d be another… donation… once I got you inside,” the bouncer said. “Well, this is where you wanted to be. These doors open up to a balcony that overlooks the entire dance floor.” He held out his hand towards Ryan. “The donation?”

Ryan scrambled in his pocket to pull out the three other bills he had saved, and handed them to the bouncer, who counted them in the pale light.

“Looks good to me,” he said, satisfied, and gripped one of the door handles to pull open the doors. “Enjoy the party.”

As soon as the doors opened, a blast of noise slammed against Ryan hard. It was the music he had heard faintly before, amplified a hundred times now that there was no barrier between its source and him. Mixed in were all the other noises expected of a boisterous party crowd – yelling, and hooting, and cheering, all mixing together in an immense cacophony.

Ryan stepped through the doorway, and his mouth fell open in amazement. The bouncer was right – the doors led to a balcony that overlooked the entire party going on under them. Hundreds, if not thousands, of people were dancing wildly below them. It was dark, except for flashing red lasers and strobe lights that came on and off in time with the music. And, Ryan noticed excitedly, at least two thirds of the throng of people below them were girls. Smoke effects came and went, adding to the energy of the place. A floa
ting bar stood in the middle of the floor beneath them, where six or seven bartenders rushed to hand out drinks to the people crowding around.

“Now, this is my kind of place!” Ryan yelled to his friends. The music was so loud that his own words almost drowned out before even reaching his own ears.

“I say we go down there, and meet back here in an hour!” Brett yelled close to Ryan’s ear.

“Sounds good to me!” Jamie yelled in reply.

“Every man for himself!” Ryan yelled, and, at a nod from his friends, started to make his way down the windings stairs of the balcony and into the crowds. Before he could walk down even three steps, though, he felt a tap on his shoulder. He looked back, and saw Brett.

“Hold on!” Brett said, and reached into his pocket to produce something. “Here!” he said, dropping a small pill into Ryan’s hand.

  “What is it?”

“MDMA! I picked it up from one of the people in the line-up while you were gone.”

  “Is it any good?”

“It’s great! Jamie and I already took ours.”

Ryan had never tried MDMA before. But hell, this was the final spring break of his life! “Thanks man,” he yelled to Brett, and quickly popped the pill.

“Get ready for some crazy action,” Brett warned, and turned back. Ryan looked back down at the crowd at the bottom of the stairs. Even from here, he could make out dozens of girls dancing alone – each one of them a prime target for him tonight.

He jogged down the rest of the stairs and made his way into the midst of the dancing mob. He had a great buzz going already, and was feeling fantastic. All around him, wild hollers and shouts rose from the crowd as the bass of the song picked up, and Ryan was swept away by the music.

Dancing, he wove his way through the bodies. All of a sudden, an unbelievable wave of pure euphoria hit him. He was on top of the world. He started dancing to the music, the flashing lights guiding his senses. His mind was absolutely blank – he was focused on the moment, enjoying every beat and sound. His senses felt like they had been amplified tenfold.

The mass of bodies around him all blended into one giant blur, and he spun around, taking everything in, laughing wildly. Suddenly his eyes stopped on a girl dancing beside him. She was blonde, and fit. And barely wearing anything.

He came up to her, lusting for her body, and began to dance with her. She looked at him, grinned slyly, and stepped even closer. Her short blond hair was being flung side to side as she moved to the music. Ryan put his hands on her hips and brought her closer to him, which she accepted easily. She threw her hands up on a particularly strong beat, and Ryan traced the curves of her sensual body with his hands. She laughed, and started rubbing her ass right on Ryan’s crotch. Already, he had a semi going – this girl was hot. And the feeling of euphoria only increased with this girl rubbing against him.

He didn’t know how long he had been dancing with the blonde girl when she took his hands and turned around to face him. Time and space all seemed to blur together in the flashing lights, but he could make out her face – and she was absolutely stunning. Even in the dark, her bright green eyes shone like stars. She placed his hands on the small of her back, and stepped closer to Ryan. He could smell her rosy perfume, and the citrus scent of her hair. She grabbed at his hair with her hands and started rubbing her crotch against his – hard. Ryan was almost fully erect, and the friction from her body only made him harder. Slowly, tantalizingly, she brought one hand down to Ryan’s waist, and slipped it in his shorts. Then she started stroking his already hard penis, while continuing to grind to the music.

Ryan’s hands ran over all her body. He gripped her neck with one hand, and with the other squeezed her tight ass and pulled her closer to him. She gasped, then smiled at him again, continuing to rub his hard cock. The feeling of her body against his was absolutely exhilarating. It was unlike anything he’d ever felt before – as if every one of his senses had been completely dormant up until this point, and now sprang wildly to life. And the feeling of her hand moving up and down in his pants only made everything that much better.

Suddenly, she stopped, pulling her hand out, and brought it to her lips. She licked each one of her fingers, then – very slowly – moved that same hand down along her body to put it into her own jeans. She started rubbing herself, and little gasps came from her mouth. Ryan couldn’t believe what was happening. This girl was getting off on her own!

Just as suddenly, she stopped, pulling her hand out, and gripped Ryan’s head with both her hands. She pulled him in quickly, and wildly started making out with him. Ryan felt the soft touch of her lips, the passionate exploration of her tongue, and kissed her back with equal fervor. She was definitely the aggressor in this, but he didn’t mind. Both their bodies still moved to the music, and both their hands explored the other’s body freely.

The song playing ended, and before the next one had a chance to start up, Ryan’s girl pulled away, and looked him straight in the eyes.

  “What’s your name?” she asked.

  “Ryan.”

“I like that,” she said breathily, and took one of his hands in her own. “Want to get out of here?”

“I have a room close by,” Ryan managed. His head was still swirling with the passions of the moment, under attack by the overwhelming music and lights all around him. And, of course, by the feel, taste, and smell of her.

“I have a better idea,” she said, and started leading Ryan through the crowd by the hand. He followed, hazily. He had to focus on her shape in front of him to avoid going the wrong way, and the arm she held for some reason felt as if it belonged to someone else. The flashing lasers, the ever-present smoke in the air, and the loud bass from the music all merged together to create a party atmosphere unlike anything he’d ever experienced before. Ryan knew he was still hard, with his dick pressing against the inside of his shorts.

He couldn’t wait to get somewhere more private with this girl – not that being in public had stopped either of them, really. But he wanted to strip her out of her clothes, to explore her entire body not with his hands but with his tongue, to feel the warmth of her against his own bare skin. He wanted to put his hands around her slim waist while his cock was deep inside her wet, warm pussy, and to have her ride him with her tits bouncing in his face.

All of a sudden, Ryan realized that he had both his hands by his side, and that he was wandering through the club on his own. Shit! He had lost her! He tried to look around, but everything was a blur. He could feel other people dancing all around him, feel the heat from their bodies mixing with the air. Desperately, he lunged forward, trying to find his blonde companion, but all he managed to do was stumble a few steps before nearly falling into another dancing couple. God fucking dammit! He had totally lost her.

Now what? He decided he wanted drink. It wasn’t a conscious decision, really – it was more like one second he was thinking about the girl he’d lost, and the next about getting a drink. There was no transition, there.

He felt disoriented in the middle of all the bodies, but could see – barely – the dark outline of a far wall to one side. He decided to make his way over there, and then walk around the edge of the club to find the bar. He pushed by all the other dancers and couples and groups to make his way to the edge. Everything slowed in his mind, and he felt like he was walking through a dream. Or underwater.

Suddenly, out of nowhere, he found himself walk right into the middle of a large, empty gap in the crowd. It was like a force field had been put up, and nobody else dared step in. Confused, he looked around, but the shapes of all the bodies blurred into a single indistinctive mess. Why was there such a large open space in the crowd? Panic started to set in – was everybody looking at him? Why? He felt so naked, so vulnerable, standing here in the middle of this space by himself. He made a move to get to the edge, to the safety afforded by all the bodies there – and was shocked when the edge of people seemed to waver further back, away from him.

&
nbsp; In the darkness, the intermittently flashing lights streamed together, spooking him when mixed with the ominous beat of the music. Just as he felt the whole world was about to collapse in on him, his eyes focused on a single, very distinctive shape in the distance. It was hard to see every detail, in the low light, but the shape was definitely a female’s.

For some reason, this shape was the only thing his eyes could focus on. Everything else – everything around it – blurred and danced in an incoherent jumble of colors, but he could make out that shape if his life depended on it. He could make out that girl. Her head was turned back, and… familiar?… jet black hair streamed down her neck. He recognized her, he thought. But where did he recognize her from, and why was he so able to pick her out amid everything else?

As if on cue, she turned around, and their eyes met in a fiery blaze. Despite the dark of the club, he knew exactly who he was looking at: it was the girl he had run into at the airport carousel. She wore a single-piece streaming black dress, and had exactly the same red-colored lipstick on that stood out so much against her pale complexion earlier. She didn’t break eye contact. Instead, she took a step into the empty circle, towards Ryan. For him, all thoughts of the blonde girl evaporated instantly on seeing this one. He walked closer to her. Wow, he thought, she looks even more beautiful in the dark

“Fancy seeing you here,” she murmured in that exotic slurring accent.

“And you,” Ryan replied. His mind couldn’t focus on anything else but her.

“You seem lost,” she said, “are you looking for someone?”

  “I was, but—”

“—or maybe something,” she interjected, “like a lost piece of luggage?” Then she laughed; a deep, sultry laugh that spurred all kinds of passion in Ryan’s body. She was making fun of him! “No,” she continued, and rose a hand up to Ryan’s face to trace his cheek with a sharp red nail, “if you were looking for someone, you’d have long since forgotten them on seeing me. Am I right?”

“Uhh…” Ryan stumbled, feeling uncharacteristically unsure of himself. She had a strange effect on him.
