  Karina

My body felt like it was going to burn up from the inside out. I didn’t know how he pulled the feelings he did out of me, but he did. From one moment to the next, like a flip of a switch, with just a look, Frank changed from the man I could just be with to the one I not only willingly but happily submitted to. Sitting on the edge of the chaise, my bikini bottoms pulled to the side, I inhaled sharply as he settled on the hunches of his legs, his face almost right where I was dying to have him.

  “Is this mine, baby?”

“Yes.” His darkened gaze met mine, and I licked my lips. “Yes, Daddy.” I whimpered.

“Good girl.” His lips quirked up. His fingers traced my outer lips, and when I squirmed, his eyes looked up at me, his wordless warning. “So wet.” He mused, “Only for me?”

I moaned and nodded, looking around, my heart beat quickening. I knew there were people outside, and even though they couldn’t see us, they could hear if I got too loud.

“You’re a tease, Karina.” His head leaned in closer, and I gasped at the first touch of the rough texture of his tongue against my sensitive, greedy flesh.

  He was a master.

There was a confidence Frank wore on an everyday basis, but on his knees, feasting off me, he was a whole other beast.

This wasn’t a chore for Frank Titan. He got off on it as much as I did. He savored and devoured, confident in his skills. Right then and there, I loved he was the age he was because with it came the experience to play my body like a bloody concert pianist.

Every husky ‘So sweet’ and raspy ‘Take it, baby girl’ against my thighs only added fuel to the fire. Making me needier for more. Greedy for what only he could do to me. He spread me open, and if I thought his mouth felt good before, it was heaven on earth now. Tremors rocked through me, his deep moans vibrating off me, and my hand went to the top of his smooth head.

“Daddy.” I quivered, on the ledge of free-falling as his eyes looked up at me, his finger taking the place of his tongue.

“Fuck, I love when you call me that.”

“Dirty old man,” I groaned, meeting his eyes between my thighs.

“We can’t have you getting loud here.” He stood, and before I could whine about the loss of his touch, I was straddling him on the chaise.

“Mmmm,” I groaned, biting my lower lip, slightly embarrassed by the sounds I was making. “It’s so hard,” I squeaked out, gasping for air as he filled me, inch by inch. His open palms fit my hips perfectly as I sunk down his shaft. We’d been having sex more than enough; you would think I would have got used to his size. The bite of pain as he stretched and filled me said otherwise, no matter how much he had worked me up, and I was addicted to it. There was something seriously wrong with me because it only made me burn hotter, addicted to him.

“More,” I begged, and his face moved into my neck.

His mouth licked and nipped, probably leaving marks in its wake, but I didn’t care. He quietly breathed dirty words on my skin, and along with his marks, I craved them. I rode him, taking every inch of him. Grinding down against the base of his thick shaft, I mercilessly rubbed my clit until we were both sweating and breathless. The weather was perfect outside, but the temperatures were rising within the cabana walls.

“Fly for me, Karina. Please, babe,” he gritted through his teeth, but I didn’t hear anything else.

  I couldn’t.

My body strained like a tightly spun coil, and I knew there was no turning back from where he was taking me. He rested his forehead on mine, his eyes on mine, and I was losing my battle to keep control. I bit my lower lip hard just as I came undone. White lights flashed behind my eyes. My head fell forward, resting where his shoulder and neck met.

“Frank,” I panted, my throat dry, breathless and lost in everything he was making me feel. There was something about having to stay quiet that made my orgasm impossibly long. His hand covered the back of my head, centering me as he rutted up, and I tried my hardest to keep up with him. Holding on tight as he shifted us a little, moving his body closer to the edge of the chair, thrusting up like a mad man. Once. Twice. Three times before his own face rested on my collarbone, hushed grunts fell from his lips, and his arms tightened around me as I felt the warmth of his release.

We stayed tangled up with one another, as if that was how we were meant to be. I couldn’t think of anywhere else I’d rather be.

“You okay?” he broke the comfortable silence, and I nodded into his neck. “You sure?” he asked again, softly, against the top of my head. I smiled, nuzzling against his chest. He was so damn sweet.

“Yeah,” I whispered, not wanting the bubble of intimacy between us to burst. “I’m very, very okay.” I smiled and kissed his neck before pulling away to look up at him. “I like spending time with you, Frank,” I admitted softly, not because I felt shy, but because I was comfortable in his arms.

“Me too.” He kissed my cheek and looked at me for a long moment before something warmed behind his eyes. “We should get you dressed.” He winked, and I shook my head, smiling.

I got off his lap, and he stood with me. I watched as he tucked himself back into his swim shorts and grabbed a towel as I found my discarded bikini top. He moved over to me and kneeled.

  “Frank?”

“Shh…” He brought the towel and cleaned between my legs. “I took you without anything.”

“I’m clean,” I whispered, feeling as he kissed his way up the front of my thigh as he righted my bikini bottoms and looked up at me.

“I am, too. But I was talking about birth control.”

“Oh. I’m safe on that, too. Pill,” I shared, letting my hands touch the top of his smooth head.

“Okay.” He stood and took the top from my hands, helping me put it back on, making sure the strings were tied securely.

“How do I look?” I asked with butterflies flying through my belly.

  I wasn’t a bikini kind of girl.

The only reason I owned the one I was wearing was because of a shopping trip with Daisy where she had talked me into buying it. It had hung out in the back of my drawers for two years. You would have thought the shyness and nerves would have hit before, when I had stepped out of the bathroom in our hotel room, instead of after our swim and hookup, but there I was.

Nervous, standing in front of a boy—no, a man—who drive me absolutely crazy. He stood, and I looked up. The way he towered over me made me feel dainty. Feminine in a way I never had felt before.

“Like a dream,” he whispered. Something flashed in his eyes, and I could have almost sworn he hadn’t meant to share that. “But you’re my dream, so how about we cover you up, so I don’t have to beat the crap out of those guys out there?” He winked, grabbing a fluffy bath robe.

“What guys?” I asked as he put the robe over me and turned me to face him, so he could tie the belt around me, making sure to cover me up.

“You know exactly who I’m talking about,” he answered gruffly.

“I really don’t.” I laughed, my smile slipping away as I realized that he was being serious. “Frank?” He looked away, slipping on his sandals, and once they were on his feet, I touched his shoulder. “Baby,” I called to him and his eyes met mine. “I don’t see anyone but you.” I was probably showing too much of what I was feeling, never having been one to play games when it came to dating, but I didn’t care.

He pulled me into his arms, and there was nowhere else I would ever want to be. Ever?

“You can’t say sweet things like that when I can’t reciprocate properly.”

“Properly, huh?” I met his eyes. “Did I finally wear you out, Mr. Titan?”

“Not even close, Miss Castillo,” he teased back, “I have a feeling that when it comes to you, I’m insatiable.”

“Who am I to deny you?” I winked, kissing him softly on his strong lips and pulling away. His hand took mine, intertwining our fingers before we stepped out to the real world.

  Nothing ha
d really changed since we had walked in, yet my world felt like it had tipped on its axis.

  For the better.

  Chapter Seven

  Frank

“HOW CAN YOU NOT LIKE GUAC?”

“I don’t know.” She giggled, and I couldn’t get myself to tear my eyes away from her.

  “You’re a California girl, right?”

  “Born and raised.”

“I think it’s against the law to be anti-avocados.” Her laughter rang in my ears, and I knew there wouldn’t be a sweeter sound.

“It’s a texture thing.” She shrugged, dipping a chip into the salsa before popping it into her mouth.

We were at the hotel’s restaurant having dinner, and I couldn’t remember the last time I had been this relaxed and totally captivated by one person. I had even left my phone in the room, giving her my undivided attention and not giving a shit at the fact I’d probably have more than a good amount of emails and texts to return when we got back into town.

  “What’s your thing?”

  “My thing?”

“Anti-California thing you would be tarred and feathered for?” she beamed, and I grabbed her hand, stroking my thumb over the top of her knuckles.

  “Surfing,” I confessed.

  “What?”

“I don’t see the point.” I shrugged, and again the sweet sound danced around me. Her eyes glittered in their darkness, and her skin had a glow to it as the sun set behind her and she looked around.

“This is a great hotel.” She relaxed in her seat. “Have you been to it before?”

“Not this one, but its sister hotel in Scottsdale.”

“And it was a success with your date there?”

  “I don’t date. Or I didn’t. Not before you.”

“Ever?” she questioned, the curiosity clear in her eyes.

“Only Ruby’s mom, and that was catching a burger and a shake before watching a movie, so I could take her to a darkened movie theater and get to second base.”

“I have a hard time believing that.”

  “And why is that?”

“I don’t know.” She looked around, but I could see she was trying to get the words together. “You look the way you do. You act like you do. You obviously have a bit of… experience with dating. I mean, look at this place. Not only is it seriously cool, but the vibe is perfect.”

“Honestly.” I leaned in closer. “Sheer luck.”

“I don’t believe that.” She grinned, a twinkle in her eye shining back at me.

“My brother got married at this place’s sister hotel in Scottsdale. That’s why I took a shot for it here.”

“I don’t know. You’re very smooth, Mr. Titan.”

“Karina,” I warned, feeling the familiar stirring beneath my waist.

“You are. You know you are. I mean, just look at how we met! I know a lot of girls say they never do things like that, but I’m being one hundred percent real with you when I tell you that I had never, ever gone off and hooked up with a random stranger.”

“But you did with me.” The restaurant felt like it was getting warmer, and I was suddenly famished for something other than the incredible Mexican food we’d enjoyed.

“The way you just… I don’t know…” Her cheeks turned a pretty shade of pink, and it had nothing to do with the sun she’d enjoyed earlier. “The way you took over,” she whispered. The reminder of her enjoying me being in charge made me grow harder. “You just strolled over, put your hands on me, and ordered and paid.”

“I also cut in line to stand behind you,” I admitted and took her by surprise as her eyes broadened.

  “No way.”

“Way.” I chuckled and cleared my throat.

“I like how we started,” she softly added, and everyone around seemed to fade away as our fingers intertwined as we sat across from each other, our eyes locked on one another.

“I do, too.” My voice was rough, and I knew why. I wanted her. Again. She brought out something in me that made me and my body decades younger.

“I mean except for the whole small world thing we keep ignoring.” She shrugged, and I could see the worry in her eyes. There is that.

“Ruby,” I said out loud and caught her slight nod. “Speaking of, she had a great idea when I talked to her.”

  “Oh?”

“I have a project at work that needs a new graphic designer.” She leaned in further, obviously interested in what I was saying. “We want to rebrand and start fresh. From business logos to website.”

  “Wow. That would be fun.”

“It’s a farm,” I quickly added and saw the cogs of her mind going to work. “Family-owned place, been around for a couple of generations.”

  “In California?”

“Southern California,” I shared. “We are taking bids.”

  “Bids?”

“Sample work, estimated bid of work, shit like that.”

  “That sounds awesome.”

“You should put yours in,” I finally threw out there, but she didn’t say anything. She didn’t have to. Not when she looked at me with a raised pretty brow.

“Frank,” she finally broke the silence between us, “I don’t think that would be the greatest idea.” Her answer didn’t surprise me. If anything, it made me like her more. If that was fucking possible.

“You wouldn’t submit it to me. My business partner does that part of things. I emailed you a submission packet. Bid if you want or don’t. The choice is yours.”

  “I don’t want a job because we’re, you know.”

  “Fucking?”

“I was going to say hooking up.” She rolled her eyes. “But yeah. Fucking. That wouldn’t feel right.”

“You wouldn’t. It would all be on merit and ability to do the work. Plus, like I said, this is my partner’s thing. Enzo’s the one in charge of hiring.”

“I just… Frank—” I brought her hand to my lips, kissing her fingertips.

“Give it a shot. You don’t lose anything by trying.” I didn’t know why I was pushing when I knew she was right. This was probably a bad idea, but something was telling me she would do fantastic.

  “Okay.” She smiled.

  “You finished?”

“No dessert?” she pouted, and I laughed.

“Come on. I have dessert planned out. It’s a surprise.” I winked as I stood and offered my hand.

I couldn’t keep my hands to myself when it came to her. There was something incredible about touching her and holding her hand in mine that made me feel invincible. Masculine to the tenth power. And I was nowhere close to getting enough of her.

  _______________

“This is so cool!” she said with glee, and I laughed.

“I can’t believe you have never been out here!” I said as we walked through downtown Palm Springs.

“I haven’t.” She was smiling so damn brightly that despite the darkness, she shined like the stars above us. She closed the small amount of space between us, her front pressed against mine, her hands around my waist as she looked up at me. “We need to take pictures here. Take a picture of me?”

“We didn’t bring our phones!” I laughed and watched her face fall.

“That’s right. Dang.” She sighed, and I looked around.

“Hold on, I have an idea.” I ran into the pharmacy, and as quickly as I could manage, I came back out to see her sitting on the bench next to the Lucille Ball statue.

“Let’s do this old school,” I suggested, showing her the disposable camera and loving the joy fill her eyes.

“Yes!” She laughed and jumped into my arms, and I took her weight against mine as she set her lips against mine and gifted me with a kiss. I wasn’t the kind of man who liked public displays of affection.

  Until her.

We took pictures together and of the statues. Funny face ones. Serious and playfully dramatic ones. Kissy face ones. She was my personal fountain of youth, and I couldn’t remember the last time I had su
ch a great time with a woman.

We walked around until I found the place I had been looking for. An ice cream parlor decked out like a Hawaiian tiki hut. We placed our order, and when we stepped out of the shop, she moved in close, pushing my hand over her shoulder—not that she had to push too much—and when she looked up, I just knew.

I knew I had to figure out a way to make this work, because if I didn’t, she’d become my greatest regret.

  Karina

“Karina. Baby, wake up.” I opened my eyes and focused them on the most beautifully handsome masculine face I had ever laid eyes on.

  I still couldn’t believe it.

  How had I gotten here?

How had my life become so damn good yet frustratingly complicated?

“Home already, huh.” I tried to smile as I blinked the sleep away from my eyes. The weekend had flown by too quickly, but that was what happened when you were busy having a good time, right?

“What’s that face for?” he asked, and I shook my head trying to wipe the worry away.

“Nothing. Just thinking tomorrow is Monday.” I sighed as I stepped out of his ridiculously cool car and moved with him to the trunk. “Lots of work to catch up on,” I muttered.

Will this be it? Would we get back and go back to pretending we didn’t exist? I mean, we had said a lot on our trip, but what if he had said everything because he had been caught up in the moment?

“I can understand that,” he said, snapping me out of my thoughts, and I blinked once twice. “About work.”

“Oh, right, work,” I mumbled under my breath as I reached into the trunk to get my duffle, but he stopped me. I looked up into his beautiful eyes.

“What do you think you’re doing, beautiful?”

  “Getting my bag.” I frowned.

“I got it.” He threw it over his shoulder and took my hand as we walked to the pool house I called home.

“Walking me to my door. So gallant,” I teased trying to make light of the situation.

“Of course. Any man lucky enough to spend time with you should walk you to your door,” he shared as I took my keys out of my purse. He took them from my hand. “Any man lucky enough should wring out every second possible,” he said confidently, and I knew he meant it. I shivered. The beauty of his words was slightly unnerving.
