“Really?”
“Yes.”
“You would actually give up a new job for me?”
Scott nodded.
“Wait. Is it a good job?”
Scott rolled his eyes. “Yes. This isn’t a trick question. It’s a fantastic job.”
“Then take it.”
“Does that mean…?”
Antonio barely resisted the urge to jump up and down. “I want you here. I want you in my life. I’ve missed you since I sent you away, and now we have another chance. I’m not going to give that up.”
“So you forgive me?”
Antonio rose on tiptoe and kissed him. “I do.”
“I won’t be able to start work for two months.”
Antonio worked his hand between them and cupped Scott’s erection. “Then I guess we should make the best of the time we have while you’re here.”
“Yes, we should.” Scott pulled Antonio close.
Scott ran his hands up and down Antonio’s bare back and then dipped them under the waistband of his tiny shorts. “I wish you dressed like this all the time,” he whispered as he licked the outer edge of Antonio’s ear.
Eventually, the sound of someone loudly clearing his throat broke through Antonio’s haze of lust. It was Marcus.
“I hope you’re not going to make a habit of distracting my bartender.”
Scott blushed. “No, sir.”
“He’s moving here,” Antonio announced.
“Good. Maybe you’ll stop moping around and go back to being your usual charming self.”
Antonio glanced at Scott. “Maybe not quite the usual.”
“You can flirt,” Scott insisted. “I want you to be yourself.”
Antonio beamed at him, thrilled he wasn’t going to start acting jealous.
Scott leaned down and gave him a gentle kiss. “I’ll see you after closing.”
Marcus cleared his throat again. “I called Shane to cover you, but don’t expect that to happen on a regular basis.”
Antonio hugged Marcus tightly. “Thank you. Tell Shane I owe him one.”
“You’re welcome.” Marcus looked very satisfied with himself.
Antonio gripped Scott’s hand and tugged him toward the back of the club.
“Go home,” Marcus called. “I don’t want any surprises back there.”
“Ha! You’re one to talk.”
“What does that mean?” Scott asked.
“Marcus used to fuck a dancer or a bartender in his office almost every night before he met Tyler.”
“Really? Did you ever…”
Antonio shook his head. “No, but not for lack of trying. He’s gorgeous, in case you haven’t noticed, but Tyler got to him before I did, and that was obviously for the best.”
“Yes, it sure was.”
After Antonio grabbed his bag and coat, he led Scott to the side door.
“So what are we going to do now?”
Scott took Antonio’s hand and pulled him close. “I have a room at a hotel just a few blocks from here, so I was thinking—”
“That we’d celebrate?”
Scott nodded. “We can order room service.”
“I’m more interested in bed service.”
“Are you really?”
Antonio squeezed his ass. “I am. Bed first. Then dessert.”
Scott smiled. “That sounds perfect.”
“Scott?”
“Yes?”
“I love you. I loved you years ago, but I never said it. If I had…”
“I would’ve said it back because I loved you too, and I’ve never stopped.”
Antonio sighed. “I’m so glad you found me.”
“Second chances really are the best.” Scott gave him a soft kiss that left his lips tingling.
“They are. Now—which way is the hotel, and how big is the bed?”
