Drowsiness plagued me during the drive. I had brought a thermos of coffee and drank as much of it as I could during the ride.
I slid in next to John, putting my head on his shoulder and hand on his thigh. It felt cozy… then a thought occurred to me. It was my first race, and I thought it was time for another first. I took my hand from his thigh and slid it up to the bulge between his legs. It immediately sprang to life at my touch.
“Would you look at that?” I teased.
“Candy! That’s not fair.”
I let my fingers walk up to the zipper of his cargo shorts and pulled. While his erection was still bendable, I pulled it through the opening.
“Sir, I don’t believe we can live with this. No, no this won’t do. You can’t have an erection outside your shorts while driving. You could get in serious trouble.” I started stroking my hand up and down his shaft.
“Oh god,” he said glancing down at my hand.
I undid my seat belt and slid down, wrapping my lips around the tip of his now throbbing erection. He gasped when he entered my mouth.
“Wait. I can’t drive like this.”
I heard the blinkers clicking as he pulled over.
“Windows are tinted, but please hurry.”
That was all I needed. I quickly went to work sucking and licking the top, while stroking the shaft. John’s hand was now firmly on the back of my head, urging me to take more of him in my mouth. His moans encouraged me as I increased the speed of the stroking. I withdrew him from my mouth and rolled my tongue across the top.
“Candy, please! Please finish me off,” he begged. He was now thrusting upward, cramming his erection as close to the back of my throat as he could get.
“Fuck!” he yelled as he released into my mouth.
I could hear him panting as I grabbed a napkin from the center console to clean everything up. I tucked him quickly back into his pants.
“I’m going to catch hell for this,” he said. I looked in the rearview to see three cars pulled in behind us.
“Who is that?” I eyed the cars in the mirror. “Those aren’t police cars.”
John laughed. “Candy, I told you there was a group of us going.” He ran his fingers through his hair before putting the truck in drive. “Those are my friends following us.”
“They didn’t see why you pulled over?” My face was red hot with embarrassment.
“That’s why I said I’m going to catch hell. My buddy walked up to the truck to see if I needed help. He got an eyeful.”
I sank a little lower in my seat. “Wonderful.”
He laughed. “I can think of worse things to be teased about.”
“I can see why you’d think that from your perspective. But you can brag about getting some road head. Being the giver of such isn’t exactly worthy of bragging rights.” I chewed the bottom of my lip as I stared at the cars behind us in the side mirror.
My stomach twisted in an awful knot. I was about to meet a group of his friends and their first impression of me was that I was a crazed knob gobbler who endangered everyone on the road to give her boyfriend a blow job.
“Relax, Candy. My friends are cool. If anything, they’re certain that you’re not uptight. Now, we’re almost there. Take a deep breath. We’re about to have some fun.” We pulled into a large grassy parking lot and once we were ushered to a spot I took a deep breath.
“Out of the pan and into the fire!” I chuckled.
We started unloading the truck, pulling out our cooler and folding chairs.
“Johnny Boy!” An enormous man wearing an M&M shirt slapped John hard on the back. “Lookin’ good buddy!”
John gave the guy a big man-hug. “Mikey! Good to see you!” John put the tailgate down and took a seat. Reaching in the cooler, he pulled out a beer for himself and handed me a Smirnoff Cherry-Lime. I gave him an approving smile.
“And this must be your girlfriend you keep hiding.” He stuck his hand out, which closely resembled a baseball glove.
Slightly worried he might crush my hand, I stuck it out. “Candy. Nice to meet you.” Much to my delight, he gave me a gentle squeeze and shook my hand.
“Great work back there on the interstate.”
“Mike!” John slugged him in the shoulder.
“Sorry. Just sayin’.”
I wanted to crawl under the truck.
“Candy, I’m Shelly, Mike’s unfortunate other half.” I didn’t even know anyone was standing behind me.
“Hi, Shelly.” She was cute as hell, her blonde hair up in a high pony tail, wearing stretchy pink shorts and a matching top sporting a driver’s name.
“Mike, get the damn grill out of the truck and stop humiliating John’s date,” she yelled.
“Yes ma’am.” Mike put his head down and started walking to their truck. Shelly smacked his ass as he passed her.
It was the craziest thing I ever saw, a woman who only weighed a hundred a ten pounds maximum, bossing around a man who had to top around three hundred pounds.
“You guys bring food?” she asked.
“I packed some sandwiches and chips.”
“Well, keep it in your cooler. I packed enough for a small football team.” She patted my ass before she walked away. Hello to you too.
John was on his cell, standing in the bed of his truck looking around and waving his arm high in the air.
“Hey Mike! Dave, Jackie and Jordan are walking this way. Where’s the super soaker?” He jumped out of his truck and ran over to Mike.
Mike handed him a huge water gun. John crouched down behind the bed of Mike’s truck. I saw two guys and a girl walking toward us. Both guys were dragging coolers behind them with one arm and bag chairs under their other arm. Were all John’s friends former football players? These guys looked like they could do a calendar. I tried not to look toward John at all and give him away, so I turned my back toward him.
The woman immediately screamed and John attacked the three with the water gun. They all stood in shock for a second, then the two guys tackled John and took the water gun away. They held him back and let the woman empty the contents of the water gun on him.
“You bastard! Do you know how long it took me to get ready!” the woman squealed.
John, still laughing started yelling uncle as they began pouring ice down his pants.
After digging all the ice out of his underwear, John pulled his t-shirt off. I found myself very happy that they had overcome him and attacked him with the water gun.
“Come on guys, there’s someone I want you to meet.” The three followed John over to our tailgating area. “This is my girl, Candy.”
“Hi, nice to meet you.” I said, shaking all their hands.
“I’m Jordan,” the woman held her hand out. “This is Dave and this is Jack.” She pointed out the two large men behind her.
Shelly had an entire large cooler full of food that she was pulling out and filling up the tailgates of the two trucks.
“Would you like some help?” I asked.
“Hell, I never get help. You can bet your ass I’ll take it. Take this grill set over to Mike and this Ziploc bag full of spices.” She nodded toward her husband.
“Dammit girl! Stop helping or Shelly’s gonna start barkin’ orders at all of us.” Mike laughed as he took the items from me.
“Leave her be Michael! It’s nice to get some help this time.” Shelly was waving her finger at him.
“I’d better get back over there,” I said smiling.
“Good girl, now drag that cooler over to that big oaf. It’s got all the meat in it. It has wheels so you should be able to do it.”
Nodding I grabbed one end of the cooler and pulled it over toward John’s truck.
“Here, take your drink. Shelly’s gonna have you busy for a while.” Mike handed me my drink.
“Hey, if she’s tough enough to boss you around, I’m gonna be on my best behavior.” I winked at him, kissed John on the cheek and went back to Shelly.
&n
bsp; “You two sure are cute together. John’s smiling more now than I’ve ever seen him smile.” Shelly pulled a big brown bag from the back seat of the truck and handed it to me.
I could see John and the other two guys setting up a tent that had tarps hanging down on the sides offering much needed shade from the sun that now seemed so hot, it was stinging my skin.
“He’s a heck of a guy.” What else was I going to say? I was starting to feel in love with him, but wasn’t ready to paint the sky with professions of my affections. I didn’t really want to divulge how our relationship started.
Jordan was sitting between the two guys she walked up with. They were all visiting while Mike cooked.
We started unpacking the bags that had plates, plastic ware and cups. The two truck beds were now covered in food and ready for the strangest buffet I had ever been a part of.
“Alright, it’s our turn to sit on our asses.” She hooked her arm in mine and guided me the few feet over where John had a chair all set up and another drink waiting.
“Food smells good,” I said.
“So whose your driver?” Dave asked.
“Driver?”
“She’s never been to a race before.” John smacked Dave’s arm. “So back off.”
“Well at least she’s not a Jimmy’s-a-Johnson fan.” He teased.
I was confused.
“Shut it dude! You’re a fan of Kins-ass! You got no room to talk.” Jordan was teasing.
“Come on, Candy-cane just wants to be a real boy.” John teased Jordan.
I was beginning to feel left out of the friendly banter about their drivers. I’m sure that the nicknames would have been funny had I any idea who they were talking about. So I turned my attention toward Jordan. I wondered which guy she was with. She was relatively attractive and filled out her jean shorts nicely, but had the largest chest I had ever seen on a person in real life. He had her curly black hair up in a baseball hat.
But she didn’t lean more toward one guy or the other. Nor did she pay either one more attention. Maybe she wasn’t dating either. More importantly, why was I spending so much brain power on this? Oh, that’s right…the conversation was all about a topic I could not add to.
“Candy!” John’s voice was loud but not angry.
“I’m sorry. What?” I shook my head.
“Where were you just now?” John squeezed my hand.
“Just thinking about work.” Lie! Why did I lie?
He gave me an eyebrow raise. He knew I was lying, but smiled anyway. Everyone was quiet.
Awkward.
“All this race talk, she was probably zoning out,” Jordan said winking at me. “You all bore me to death with it all the time.” She turned and tapped Jack with the back of her hand. “Grab the shots.”
Shots? It was ten in the morning.
“Here,” she said handing me a small plastic shot glass. “It’s delicious and tastes like apple pie.”
I stared at the shot glass. Was I surrounded by alcoholics? Who drinks shots at ten in the morning?
“Bottoms up!” Dave cheered.
I took my shot along with everyone else. Jordan was right, it tasted good, not like alcohol at all.
“Damn, that’s dangerous,” I said.
Jordan laughed, “I know, right? You could really fuck yourself up with those. I tend to lose my clothes if I drink too many.”
Duly noted.
“Okay, I got ribs, steaks, chops and chicken. Get your plates and grab what you want. There’s plenty.” Sally ordered everyone.
After eating, more shots and a trip to the worst smelling outhouses on the face of the planet, we went to the infield, which was about an hour’s walk. My feet were filthy and aching by the time we found our spots.
After jets flew over, a local celebrity kicked off the race by singing the national anthem. Some country artists told the racers to start their engines and we tried to watch cars as they flew by so fast they were a streak of color. It was so loud, my ears were numb.
After a few more drinks, I had dozed off and was woken by the sound of screeching metal. I leapt out of my chair as a four car pile-up, slamming against the concrete wall in front of us. Fans were standing and cheering.
I felt the adrenaline surge through my veins that John has talked about. Suddenly I was awake and alert, on my feet and cheering. For what, I had no idea.
“Exciting, right?” John grabbed my hand and kissed me.
Jordan had lifted her shirt and flashed her very large breasts to the drivers and pit crews. She had grabbed them both and bounced them up and down then side to side yelling, “whoo hoo.”
“Yes it is. Who do you support here? I mean, who is your driver?” I asked, finally taking an interest in what was going on.
John smiled. “I like Kyle Bush, and so does Mikey. It’s the car with the M&Ms on it.”
“That’s right! Best damn driver since Dale senior.” Mike nudged me.
“I see.” Who the hell was Dale senior?
The race finish with a guy named Junior winning. Apparently, it was his favorite track and the fans loved him. As we made our way back to our trucks, people were screaming, “Go Junior!” and “It’s a Junior Nation.”
The crowd seemed very pleased at the results.
We packed everything in the truck and waited among lines and lines of cars to get out of the track, then the town.
We were both so exhausted, neither one of us spoke on the way home.
Back at our apartment building, John carried the cooler to my place and kissed me goodbye.
BREATHTAKING
After two weeks of planning, prepping, shopping and the most exercising I ever recall in my entire life, John and I were at the airport ready to board our plane. John and I had only managed to make love a few times in the last few weeks, so I was primed and ready for play.
“Did I mention I hate flying?” John asked as he stared at the gate.
“Are you afraid to fly?”
“No, I hate the security, the waiting, the tight quarters. Flying is a miserable experience.” John’s left leg was bouncing, shaking the whole row of seats.
“John, it’s a short flight. They will be boarding any minute.” I tried to reassure him.
“I know, I’m not going to freak out, I just don’t like it. I promise, once we’re in the air, my mood will change for the better.” He kissed the back of my hand and forced a smile.
Finally a female voice came over the intercom announcing boarding for first class passengers.
“That’s us.” I pulled his hand trying to get him out of his seat.
“What?”
“Oh, did I forget to mention,” I giggled, “that we had first class tickets?” I bent down and kissed him. “Now off your ass and on your feet!”
He grinned widely then hopped out of his chair, holding my hand as we went through the gate. We were ushered to our seats and immediately offered a drink.
“I can get used to this. This is the life.” He leaned over, placing his lips softly on mine.
“Yuk, save it for when you get off the plane.” It was Janette taking a seat in the center row with James behind her.
“Oh my gosh, I didn’t know we were on the same flight!” I should have known. She would have purchased the tickets all at once.
I got up from my seat and gave them a hug. “This is my boyfriend John. John this is James and Janette, the very sweet friends of mine that we have to thank for our vacation.”
John smiled at me whispering, “boyfriend?” He stood, shaking each of their hands. “So nice to meet you. Thank you so much for your gracious gift.”
“It’s time to take your seats,” the flight attendant said as she passed through.
After pre-flight instructions we were taxied down the runway. As usual, I got the giggles during take-off.
“What’s that about?” he asked.
“It’s like a roller coaster. I giggle during every roller coaster ride, whether I like it or no
t.”
“I love the sound of your laugh.” John kissed me again and gave my hand a squeeze.
Between the four of us conversing and the champagne that flowed freely, we were descending before we knew it. After retrieving our bags, Janette led us all to where our limo awaited to take us to the resort. I wasn’t paying attention to where we were going so I was thrown a bit when the doors of the limo opened up on a dock.
“Where’s the resort?” I asked.
“It’s on the island, silly. We take a boat from here. Don’t worry, it’s a short trip and the water is calm.” Jeanette put her arm around me.
Four large men in resort uniforms took all of our bags and loaded them on a ferry. I was a bit nervous now, as I was no fan of boats on sea water. I had been plagued with nightmares involving sharks as a child, which left me weary of shark infested waters.
The ferry ride was one big party. People were already mingling, drinking and laughing. I was already unprepared as most of the people were in bikinis. My sundress was sticking to me in the heat and humidity.
“Color me impressed!” John whispered in my ear. The sound of his voice already calmed my nerves.
“Yeah, this is the nicest vacation I’ve been on and we haven’t even gotten there yet. I thought your friend said it had big concrete walls and stuff. I don’t think he’s been to where we are going.” I turned around to face John. “He made it sound like it was in the middle of other resorts.”
“Yeah, I don’t know. We’ll see when we get there.”
The captain announced we were pulling into port. Everyone started making their way to the area of the ferry that got on.
When the ferry rounded the corner of the island, I was astonished at the sight. The sand was white, setting off the blue water. The palm trees framed the most beautiful site. There was a waterfall and lagoon to the left and the resort was set at an angle so that the whole area was private. We were greeted by bikini clad women handing information packets and gift bags to each of us as our feet hit the sand.
“Your bags will be waiting for you in your room. You just have to go check-in and get your room combinations.”
“Combinations?” I asked.
“Uh, well, there are times where you won’t really have anywhere to put your card key if you get my meaning.” She winked at me.
