In a fit of rage I swiped things from my desk. The phone, a keyboard and a few other things clattered to the floor.

Now that Morgan saw her, she probably thought this would be the time to throw a good fit.

She wanted her money, she wanted control over me. If Willow hadn’t been there, what would she have done to Dahlia?

There was knocking at my door. I shook my head and regained my composure.

When I opened the door, it was my secretary, Ms. Hart.

“Sir, are you okay? I tried to call, but your phone didn’t go through.”

“It’s okay, I’ll be out in just a second.”

I closed the door and went to get the folders that were still miraculously on my table.

There it was again, the faint trail of Willow’s floral perfume. Wonderful taste.

Allowing my mind to rest on her for a moment brought me a brief moment of tranquility. She looked after Dahlia the way a real mother would.

I walked past my secretary and she lifted her hand to get my attention. “Ah, Mr. Thrilling. I’m so sorry. The Mizamotos just called in again. They had to cancel. They said an emergency came up and they will be calling to get in touch and reschedule.”

Glancing at the clock, I still had plenty of time. I knew I didn’t keep them waiting.

  “Okay, thank you Ms. Hart.”

Inside my office, the remnants of my anger still surfaced the air. I straightened up my desk and sat down, taking out my phone to make sure Willow and Dahlia were okay.

The phone rang a few times, but she picked up.

  “Willow?”

“Hey, Dahlia’s holding the phone for me. We’re almost home. Something wrong?”

“No, just checking in on you two.”

  “We’re fine. Thanks.”

“Hi, daddy!” Dahlia added in. I could see her smile in the back of my head.

“Hello, princess. Well, don’t let me take your time. Be careful on the road.”

  “I will. See you later.”

I hung up and turned on my computer. Talking to Willow gave me motivation. A motivation to keep going, because getting stuck on Morgan’s antics wasn’t going to get me anywhere.

  No where positive.

“Dean, what’s wrong?” I leaned back in my seat and stared out the window of my office. Willows scent lingered by my nose and a small amount of relaxation hit me.

Dean, my lawyer harrumphed on the phone and took a loud swig of his drink.

“Morgan, her lawyer just called. That fucking bastard. I don’t like him. I bet you she’s sleeping with him,” he roused, his voice raspy with irritation.

“Get to the point, Dean. What’s happening?” My patience was wearing thin. I didn’t hear much from him unless it was about Morgan.

“Her lawyer called over. Morgan’s heated about something. She wants to pursue full custody. I knew this crazy woman was going to do something before the divorce was final. Two years and now she decides to try to act like a mother,” he snarled. My gaze shifted from the sky, down to the buildings and the streets below. My office had floor to ceiling windows, it wasn’t for the faint of heart or those afraid of heights.

Heights took my stress away. If anything, I needed to be sitting on a ledge right now.

“She never was a mother. Dahlia is nothing but a credit card to her. My strings that she can pull to make me dance to her demands.” I got up and walked to the window, shoving one of my hands in my pocket.

The roads were so busy below. People who lived easy lives, people who were going through hell.

And even way up here, hell managed to find me.

“Well, we’ll handle this. She’s not getting away with this. You’re a good damn father. And that’s something I rarely see out here nowadays. Leave it to me.”

My grip around the phone tightened. “I want a restraining order.” If Morgan wanted to be crazy, she’d pay the fucking price for it.

  “I’m already on it.”

“She attacked my nanny,” I growled, biting my lower lip.

“Nanny? Oh god, Darien. You should’ve told me you hired a nanny. That must be why she’s so pissed. Not that it’s any of her damn business.”

“It isn’t. But she thinks anything other than Dahlia and my work is a threat to her monthly meal ticket.” I walked back to my chair and swiveled back around to my computer. I had money to make and a family to protect.

“Huh. She’s not even hiding it. Well, let me do my black magic. I’ll call you with some progress. Enjoy your day, and make sure you up your security around the house,” he suggested.

I tapped the pen to my lips. I did need a better gate and a few extra cameras.

“Will do. Enjoy your day, Dean,” I said, hanging up the phone.

If Morgan was ballsy enough to go up to my home and take Dahlia, then taze Willow, she’ll be crazy enough to do something else riskier.

“Willow? Dahlia?” I called out, looking for my two favorite people in my life. “Willow, Dahlia?” I called out again. I ran out to the back of my house where I saw them rolling around in the grass in different clothes. Dahlia was wearing something I didn’t even recognize. I jogged down the stairs, smiling at them having so much fun.

The light that danced off of Willow’s face as she played with Dahlia was ethereal. I could put a ring on that. Quickly.

Willow lifted her head up from rolling around in the grass.

“Hey, Darien, how was work?!” She got up and strode over to me. Dahlia took notice and was soon close behind.

“Good, what’re you two doing?” I asked, folding my arms and smiling down at them..

“Willow took me to the mall,” Dahlia exclaimed, twirling in the new dress she got. “Dad! It was so cool. We got jewelry and hair stuff. She even bought me these cute dresses and clothes. When I go to school, all the girls are going to be so jealous.”

“Looks like you two had fun. But I thought I said to come straight home.”

Willow frowned and threw her hands on her hips. “Come on, after what happened, we needed a little letting loose.”

Dahlia was on Willow’s side. “Plus, I got to meet Willow’s brother Ronald. He’s asleep right now, but Willow said he was going to wake up soon so I can talk to him!”

Willow’s face dimmed. If her care of Dahlia was anything to go by, then I knew she deeply loved and worried about him.

I remember she told me about his medical bills. If only she would tell me more.

“Willow, I’d like to talk to you.” I began to walk back to the house. Willow followed.

Dahlia ran up around me and stood in the way of the door. “Daddy! She’s not in trouble, is she?”

“No, darling. Why don’t you go into the game room, we’ll come to get you in a few minutes?” I patted her head, and she smiled.

  “Okay. Be nice to Willow.”

  “Well, yes my bossy princess.”

We walked into the living room and I waited until I heard Dahlia close the door to her game room. Willow took a seat on the couch and sat her hands on her lap. “So, what’s up?”

  “Willow, about earlier—”

  “I’m sorry I couldn’t prevent Morgan from—”

“Not another word. None of that was your fault and you know it.” It was impossible for Willow to be the shit starter that Morgan was. I was truly hurt that she felt like she failed in any way whatsoever.

  “But—”

“Willow… Please. I wanted to show you my thanks.” I took out a slim small box from my back pocket that could fit in the palm of my hand and handed it to Willow.

“Huh?” She looked at it without taking it. “I can’t. I’m sorry. You’ve done so much and I… I don’t want to put anyone in jeopardy.” She began to wring her hands.

“Willow, why can’t you let me spoil you?” The desperation in my voice was apparent. I wasn’t used to letting people see me in want for something. That usually meant it was hard to get, and things were never hard for me to get.r />
Willow on the other hand. She wasn’t a thing. She was perfection. The mother figure to Dahlia I wished a thousand fucking times Morgan would be.

She leaned her head to the side and held her arms.

“I have to go.” She stood up. “The hospital needs to talk to me about some things. I don’t want to take your Lamborghini again, so I’ll just walk—”

“No. Please take it. That car means nothing in comparison to your safety. But if you like, you can also take my car.”

She stood unsure of what to do. For a minute I thought she was going to run and not come back. But she knew where she belonged. With me.

  By my side.

  Under me.

“You’re a really wonderful man, Darien. Dahlia is so damn lucky to have you.”

I grabbed her, she was taking this kiss either way or one.

Our lips crashed together in a starving kiss. My hands got lost in her hair.

Breaking our kiss, Willow rubbed my chest, patted it, then ran off.

  “I’ll be back later, promise!”

  Chapter Seven

  Willow

Another night down. I was better at the pole, and my dance moves are more advanced. Now I’m doing flips and twerking upside down. Not that I like it, but it was paying his bills half-way. The other half came from him.

The thought of him, it heated my cheeks up and made me quiver.

Darien Thrilling. He was thrilling alright.

I pulled into his driveway, admiring the glittering lights that framed the way to his garage.

I was counting my lucky stars that the car was being quiet.

I turned off the car, holding my breath and hoping it wouldn’t let out a loud grunt.

After that part was over, I rested my head on the steering wheel and closed my eyes.

“Why does this have to be so difficult? Why did you have to pick me,” I whispered to myself.

I pulled myself together and carefully crept out the car. It was well past one o’clock, and judging from last time, Darien didn’t like when I got home late.

Not that he was my dad or anything. But he worried over me. And ever since he touched me like that, the way he made me forget how to breathe… I just couldn’t stop thinking about how good he could be in bed.

How good it would be to be his.

But first things first was Ronald. And right now, I needed to make sure Darien wasn’t waiting in the main corridor for me, ready to lecture me. I was way too tired for that.

When I cracked the front door open, I eyeballed the inside and saw that all the lights were off. All I saw were faint glows from lights upstairs.

Slipping in and closing the door, darkness enveloped me. With every step I took, I made sure that I didn’t hit something.

Just as I was getting closer to the stairs, I moved faster.

I was gonna get away with—shit! The edge of a rug snagged my foot and I landed face first on the ground with a huge thud.

“Fuck! Great, just great,” I whined to myself, struggling to get up. My legs were tangled with each other and the breath in my lungs was knocked out of me.

“Willow.” Damn it. I could smell the warm cologne, leaching off of him. My body shivered, knowing he was close, yet not being able to see him.

“Darien?” I felt around with my hand and touched his crotch, grabbing his cock. “Oops! Sorry!” He grabbed my hands, and I swatted them away. “I just tripped, I’m fine.”

  “Let me help you up—”

“No, I’m good I can—yikes!” Now I was close to his warm broad chest. It felt like steel under his shirt. “Darien, we can’t do this…”

“And why not? Lights on.” The lights faded on and his dominant eyes scanned my body possessively. “What’re you wearing? You weren’t wearing this when you left.”

I guess he was the billionaire detective now. I struggled in his embrace, but he held on tight and started up the stairs.

“Oh, I went to a club with my friends…”

  “What club?”

Shit, he wanted details. I wasn’t a club-goer, and after Ronald went into a coma, I alienated my friends.

I was a loner. Grieving and wallowing around in my sorrow.

Now here I was, in the arms of one of the most powerful men in the country. Darien Thrilling.

  “Willow, answer me.”

“The one downtown,” I said unsure or myself. Was there even a club downtown?

“There’s only one type of club downtown, it’s a gay club for men. Not women. Try again.”

Fuck, he could see right through me.

“Um…” I gave up. He turned the corner and went down to my room. He pushed the door open and brought me inside.

It wasn’t until we were at the bed did he put me down gently.

I was wearing a cute halter top and some daisy dukes with my black boots. Dahlia was asleep, so I wasn’t concerned about her accidentally seeing me.

  Darien on the other hand…

“You smell like alcohol. The kind that’s served at that bar I met you at. Willow, I want the truth,” he demanded, folding his arms, his eyes baring down on me.

  “Fine, I was over there…”

  “Dancing?”

“Do we have to do this?” I sighed.

“Yes. Willow, why?! You know I’m here. You know if you need anything under the goddamn sun that I’d give it to you. Do you see the way Dahlia looks at you?”

  “Yes, but I—”

“Do you see the way I look at you?”

“Darien, I’m not used to this.”

“Get used to this. Get comfortable with this. I need you here. The only reason you’re out there stripping is because you’re not telling me the whole truth… and that hurts.”

  “Darien…”

“Willow, I don’t see you as just my nanny.”

“And I don’t see you as just my boss either. I see my hero, the man that saved me in the alley, the man that’s helping me save my brother…”

I got off the bed, to stand and face him. I wanted to be on an even playing field, even though I was shorter than him.

He pushed me back on the bed, and I knew that from then on… he had me.

“Darien—” He cut me off with a kiss and a pinch to my nipples. My back raised on its own, bending me and exposing more of my skin to him.

He ran his thumbs over my nipples like last night and sucked on them. The sensation ran through me, making me wet and melt in his arms like putty.

My body sunk deeper into the bed as I relaxed and allowed him to take over my body.

Maybe this was the time to tell him I was a virgin. Too bad his expert mouth of his kept me moaning. My view was of the dark ceiling. I couldn’t dare push myself to look at him.

Instead, the silhouettes of the window and trees on the wall kept me sane while he pleasured the most sensitive parts of my body.

It came so naturally to him. Older men were really something.

Or else I’d… I’d climax too soon. I wanted all of him. I needed to go through this all the way.

“Dar-Darien, I have to tell you—”

  “Hush, Willow, you’re mine.”

He trailed his kisses down my belly while his hands held me firmly in place. He got closer to my mound and stopped to breathe over it. His fingers flicked over the meat of my pussy that was exposed, crowding around my hard wet clit.

What was he thinking? Did he like it? His silence was killing me. His tongue hit my clit and rubbed it around.

He was tasting me, and holy fuck did it feel insane.

  “Oh god, right there! Yes!”

My body was ready to snap from the pressure of arching my back. Darien held my thighs down as I squirmed around. I wasn’t used to this much pleasure. The way he took command over my body in the dark… it just made me wetter.

He inhaled my scent. “Your pussy tastes as sweet as you. You’re so wet.”

He opened my pussy further with his fingers in a scissor l
ike fashion. God, he was able to see all of me. Even parts I hadn’t yet seen. Darien grabbed at his fly and unzipped his slacks. He dug around and pulled out his cock, curved in that delicious inverted banana shape, red with anticipation.

Even in the dull light I saw it twitch for me. My pussy fluttered as it loomed over me, threatening to take me by storm. I could see the faint glint of pre-cum as it beaded on top of his shaft.

I covered my mouth and looked away. Darien looked so edible down there. “That can’t fit, I’ve never went this far before.”

“I’ll be tender, I promise.” Darien ran his hand down my cheek, breast and hips. My skin shivered as his warm skin slid over my colder skin, making my nipples that much harder.

He dove back down into my pussy, attacking my clit with his large rough tongue, flicking it and teasing it.

God, I wanted him to touch me in all the places he wasn’t.

My core ached to be claimed officially by him. He’d be my first, and hopefully my last.

He was different from the other guys. Yeah he had money, but the big bad Darien Thrilling was also a father, and a good man.

He stopped pleasuring my wetness and stood up at the foot of the bed. The dim lighting of the night lights in my room framed his silhouette in warm hues. The musk of my pussy started to rise, beckoning him to get it over with and fuck me.

He motioned with his finger for me to come close and grabbed his cock. “Suck my cock. I want you to lick it the same why sucked your nipples. Tell me how bad you want it,” he rasped.

“B-badly,” I stuttered, crawling to his cock that hung proudly between his muscular thighs. I held onto his legs for support and lowered my mouth onto his slick salty shaft.

Darien bucked forward, wincing at my cold wet mouth and innocent tongue. “Say it. Say you want me. Tell me you’ll stay.” His hand pressed down on the back of my head, making me take more of his dick down my throat. The sounds, the gurgling I made against him made me wetter by the second.

Having him fill my mouth like this… it was so dirty, but it turned me on. Each vein, each dip and ridge, I could taste it, and I teased it with my tongue before sucking the cum out of him. He came into my mouth with thick cum.

But he was still stiff as hell.
