There wasn’t any joking about safety, and that was one of the reasons he loved Sir Hugh.
The dinner went by comfortably. They talked about their day—those small details that lovers shared. But throughout, Matthew couldn’t help thinking there was something Hugh wanted to say. He worried over what it might be so much he barely tasted dessert. Scrumptious chocolate cake filled with wild berries. Another favorite of his.
“You want to tell me what’s on your mind?”
Matthew jumped at Hugh’s question.
“You’ve been tense most of the evening.”
Sighing, Matthew gathered his courage. “I keep worrying about what you’re not telling me.”
“What makes you think I’m not telling you something?”
“Just a feeling.”
It was Hugh’s turn to sigh. “You’re right.”
At his pause, Matthew held his breath, bracing for the worse.
“You’re awful hard to surprise, you know that?”
“Huh?” What did that have to do with anything?
“I have a gift for you.”
“Oh. Ohhh.”
“Yeah. And you kinda spoiled the surprise.”
“I didn’t get you anything. I thought we weren’t doing the gift thing.”
“We aren’t. It’s a different type of gift.”
“Now you have to tell me what it is.”
“I see that you won’t be happy until you know, so I’ll give you a clue. I didn’t buy it. Well, technically I did, but not by itself.”
“What kind of clue is that?” Matthew couldn’t keep the disappointment from his voice.
“The only kind you’ll get. I’ll tell you if you get it right Otherwise, you’ll have to wait until we get home to find out what it is.”
What could it possibly be? Matthew pondered.
“A cake? Something to eat?”
“Well, which is it? A cake or something to eat?”
“Technically, they are the same, but let’s go with cake.”
“Why on earth would I give you a cake after we had dessert?”
“Hmm. You have a point. Something homemade. Did you go to a pottery class or something?”
“No. Will you give up? The apartment is a few steps away. I’m sure you can wait until then.” Hugh teased.
“Fine, fine. I’ll wait.”
But the minute they walked into his home, Matthew turned to Hugh expectantly. Hugh sighed, shaking his head, but humor twinkled in his eyes.
“Fine.” He sneaked his hand into his pocket and fiddled with something there. Seconds later, a key appeared between his fingers, a tiny blue bow attached to it.
“Will you move in with me?”
Matthew glanced from the key to Hugh and back in shock.
“Well?” Hugh prompted when his silence stretched.
“How the hell was I supposed to guess that?”
“What?”
“The clue you gave me. Something you bought but not by itself. How was I supposed to get ‘key to your apartment’ from that?”
“Will you forget the clue?”
“How could I? It’s the most outrageous clue you could have come up with.”
Hugh rubbed the bridge of his nose with his free fingers. “Will you just answer the question?”
“Oh, yes. Of course. But the clue…”
“I’ll never hear the end of it, will I?”
“Nope.”
Grinning, Hugh took Matthew’s hand and pulled him closer. “Tell me again that you’ll move in with me.”
“I’ll move in with you. Or you with me. But that’s just logistics.”
“Love…shut up and kiss me.”
Matthew arched into him, wrapping his arms behind Hugh’s neck. “I thought you’d never ask.”
“You can add ten more strokes for being sassy.”
Excitement spiked, Matthew’s cock going hard. “Yes, Sir.”

And when the man gets hurt defending Valentin, the vampire knows that he cannot leave him behind. Even if taking him along would mean death for both of them.
Twenty-seven year old Shawn Dougal never thought he’d fall for a man, much less a bloodsucker. But it has to be something special about the vampire, because how else can he explain the sudden lapse in judgment that has him traveling halfway across Romania, risking his own life to save Valentin’s when the vampire gets kidnapped? Will breaking and entering a centuries-old castle full of vampires be enough to get his lover back? And can he keep Valentin alive long enough to discover what is that attracts Shawn to him?

For the first time in his life, Shawn is out of his depth. He is mated to man—a bloodsucker no less—and the entire supernatural community is against their union. On the run, their lives at stake, he has to protect both Valentin and himself. But this time the odds are not in their favor and their list of enemies keep growing.
In a place where even years-long friendships are not what they should be and loyalty is only to oneself, how can Shawn and Valentin survive—or keep their relationship alive?
Out of Choice (Perfect Timing Book 3)
Vampires and shifters, enemies since the dawn of time, now coming together against a bigger threat.

And, of course, being mated to a shifter isn’t winning Valentin any points with either of their kinds.
For Shawn, being home with his mate should be the best time of his life. Except they must face the entire world, and the stupid stone that could help them is nowhere to be found. To make matters worse, the house seems to hate him. How can he face the Council under these circumstances?
With Valentin slipping more and more under the house’s influence, can Shawn keep his mate alive until the very end?

Meet Aimee:
Born in Romania, land of the Iele and Vlad the Impaler, AIMEE BRISSAY has spent all her life surrounded by stories. She has ridden side by side with d’Artagnan and The Three Musketeers to retrieve the Queen’s diamonds, set sail on the Erasmus in search of the Japans, fell in love with Rhett Butler and roamed the Wild West alongside Old Shatterhand. She has walked in the footsteps of the Olympian Gods and searched for Zalmoxis’ sanctuary in the Carpathians. In her mind, she’s never been the damsel in distress but rather the knight in shiny armor fighting for a cause. Aimee Brissay loves each and every one of these characters with a passion, and has always had a soft spot for the men-on-men fellows.
With a background like this, turning to writing was no surprise. Aimee discovered Men-on-Men erotica early in life and has never looked back. After that first story, she devoured all the books she could find. And when she ran out, she decided to write her own. Aimee Brissay has over 10 stories published, varying from contemporary to fantasy and BDSM, men-on-men, men-on-men-on-men or on-women, and anything in between.
She can write anywhere, even in a crowded room or a busy subway station, but she loves solitude. When she’s not at her evil day job or she’s not torturing her characters in her latest WIP, she can be found writing or playing with her cats. Or her newly adopted dog, because 5 cats are just not enough.
She welcomes messages from readers and promises to answer all of them as soon as possible, though that can mean anything from one hour to a month.
