Guiding her back to the table after she nodded her head. Once she saw her muffin and coffee, she offered me her sweet smile and we sat sharing our breakfast and coffee, fully aware that at that moment we were on display.
Neither of us cared that we were being watched, everyone else quickly faded away.
When we'd finished our breakfast and stood, I grabbed her hand, and side by side we walked out onto the sidewalk. "Thank you for breakfast and the coffee. " She attempted to back away from me toward the shop only I walked with her. "I better get over there," again she stepped back, and I matched her movements. "Is this going to be an ongoing thing until I reach Blossom’s?" She laughed and I hooked my finger through the loop of her jeans.
"I'm going with you."
Her brows wrinkled as she stared at me.
"Did you honestly think that I'd sit back and allow Beau and Levi to help you without joining them?" Her perplexed look only multiplied. "Babe, whether you want it or not, I'm helping."
Leaning in I kissed the tip of her nose before tugging her along to the front of the flower shop. I was hers for the day, longer if she'd have me.
"Did you get volunteered too?" Levi hollered out to me as I stepped inside, still holding Sadie's hand. I noticed the way he looked down at our hands and then back up again.
Grinning I moved in behind Sadie and placed my hands on her hips. "Where you want me?"
"That is a loaded question If I've ever heard one," Anna came in from the left winking at me, before bumping her hip to Sadie's. "If what took place on the dance floor or on her front porch between you two is any indication what might be rolling around in her mind in response to that question may not be appropriate with an audience."
"Anna," Sadie gave her a silent warning forcing her to move along quickly.
"Is that true?" I whispered the words near her ear, and she chanced a glance at me. "If so, we could sneak off and let these fools do all the manual work. We could find us a quiet corner and you could explain to me all those thoughts in your mind." She took in a deep breath and her body shuddered as she exhaled.
"We should get busy," her voice sounded husky.
"Later than," I kissed the side of her neck and moved around her to join the others. It took Sadie a few minutes to join us and at first, she seemed extremely distracted. Feeling satisfied beyond explanation at just how I'd gotten to her.
She quickly fell into her element and things flowed smoothly after that. It was a good day, the group of us gathering the arrangements and boxes of bouquets, loading them in the van.
When she climbed behind the wheel with Anna and Miley piled inside, I didn't want to let her go.
"Are you sure that you don't want me to come along?"
"With you there she won't be able to focus." Sadie shot Anna a glare and it made me laugh.
"There's not much else to do, so really, we'll be fine."
Pushing off the side of the van I stepped back and gave her the room she needed to back out of the parking lot.
As she drove off, Levi and Beau stepped up on either side of me. Each placing their hands on my shoulders, I looked between the two of them, both smirking.
"You're sunk brother," Beau insisted.
"A goner," Levi added.
Chuckling they moved past me toward their awaiting vehicles and not once did I attempt to argue with them. There was no point, they couldn't be more right. I was at Sadie's mercy.
Chapter Twenty-Two
Sadie
* * *
My feet were killing me. I know now that I really should have worn more comfortable shoes.
I dropped one to the floor and then the other as I made my way toward the refrigerator. I was hungry, but I was too tired to cook. Grabbing a bottle of water and a protein bar I left a trail of clothing down the hallway that led to my bathroom.
Flipping on the hot water, I was in desperate need of some heat and relaxation. The weather was getting cooler and fast and tomorrow I would be standing outside for some crazy festival. Selling decorations for the fall and winter seasons, wreaths, centerpieces, and so much more for hours. What I really wanted to do was curl up on my couch and watch a movie, or read a good book, possibly even fatal asleep in the middle of the day and not feel guilty about wasting half my day.
I was just about to pull my tank top over my head when the sounds of someone knocking on my door had me pausing in the hallway. With one arm out, the other still holding a half-eaten protein bar, staring mid-chew, I knew there would only be one person standing on the other side. It was too late for anyone else to stop by.
My heart instantly raced with excitement. Still after several encounters, and a whole lot of kissing I found it strange that the one man I said I'd never give a second glance to was the one man I can't stop thinking about.
I hurried to put my shirt back on and my sweater, gathering my pants up off the floor I shoved one leg in and then the other. Almost tripping in the process, I shuffled down the hall and stopped to take a few deep breaths in the center of the living room. Composing myself, I wiped over my face to ensure I didn't have food around my mouth and took a quick drink of water.
Another knock sounded and I grabbed the lock, twisting, pulling the door open. I tried to hide the joy I felt when I found him standing there, wearing a pair of jeans, hiking boots, and a coat looking all rugged and handsome.
It was like a second wind, rejuvenating my exhausted body.
"Hi," biting my lip I noticed that he focused on my mouth and took in a deep breath. Lifting his gaze, he met mine and stepped forward through the threshold. "Hi," his breath tickled my lips just before he pressed a soft kiss there.
Internally I was sighing, or maybe it was externally because Wyatt chuckled, and immediately I felt embarrassed.
"You busy?"
Shaking my head, I felt eager for what he may have planned. Frankly, anything would work for me as long as he was kissing me and holding me like he was right then.
"Wanna take a ride," he jutted his thumb over his shoulder and that is when I noticed the four-wheeler sitting there. "The neighboring land belongs to a friend of mine and the teenagers sneak out and used the property for shenanigans."
I arched a brow at the word shenanigans and tried not to laugh.
"I thought it was a better choice of wording than saying they treat the acreage like a breeding ground." Wyatt shrugged and that unbelievably alluring grin made my stomach feel like it was flipping all around.
"So, if I choose to go, should I cover my eyes? Not sure I want to see all the shenanigans?"
Hooking my waist, he pulled me in tight to his chest and his mouth hovered over mine, the feeling of his lips tickling as they lightly glide back and forth. "What if it's you and I that are creating it?"
"Is that a promise?" Taunting him was fun. I'd noticed that the more and more time I spend in his presence the less nervous I became. It was so easy to flirt with him, creating that build up between us was like a goal, I love how it made me feel. I also loved how it managed to get him so worked up his voice shook and has hands fisting.
"Grab something warm," he kissed me. "I'll wait right here."
"You don't have to."
"Yes," he nodded as he scanned over my body from head to toe, "I do."
I found his honesty about his lack of control refreshing. I felt it too.
I left him standing there as I gathered something warm in my closet. Searching for my boots that were tossed in the bottom of my closet I decided to leave my phone on the nightstand and rushed back to the door. He stood next to the four-wheeler, leaning back with his ankle crossed over the other.
"You ready?" Standing tall once more he climbed over the seat, straddling it before reaching his hand out for me. Once I was securely seated behind him, I wrapped my arms around his waist and inhaled. He smelled of soap, and fabric softener, mixed with a manly spice that I found comforting.
Taking off slow, I watched over his shoulder as he approached the darknes
s, his headlight on the front leading a path. "Won't these trespassers see you coming with the light on?"
"We're still on my land, we'll turn it off when we get closer. Plus, we'll reach a point when we have to walk," Peeking back over his shoulder. "You okay with that?"
"I'm good." And I was. In fact, I was better than good. Being with Wyatt had quickly become my new favorite place to be.
I looked around as he maneuvered through a few patches of trees and down into some valleys. I'd always loved Montana, it was beautiful. Since I've returned, I've yet to take a drive and explore like I used to. I've just been so busy, but this was nice, it was the peacefulness I was in desperation need of.
The headlight was flipped off and for a few seconds, I was blinded until I was about to refocus. "It's just up over the hill over there," Wyatt pointed to the darkness.
"What is?"
"The hot springs," without meaning to my eyes widened with excitement. He chuckled and shook his head. Okay, I was just like those eager teens, I guess. But in my defense, I'd missed my chance at a hot bath.
"We'll park right over here," tucking the four-wheeler behind a line of trees he turned it off and reached around to pat my thigh. "No flashlights either."
I nod, knowing that I'd be sticking closely by his side. A girl could get lost out here.
In the silence of the night, my hand safely tucked in his we walked around, listening for any signs that we weren't alone. "Seems like tonight is a quiet one," Wyatt whispered near my ear just as we stepped around a large pile of oversized rocks and the springs come into view. I was in awe instantly. The steam that floated up from the water, the hidden cove it was tucked into, it all looked so inviting.
"Seems like we're alone," repositioning his body in front of me he blocked my view and I noticed the heated look in his eyes. Without any further delay, he cupped the side of my face and tipped my head up using his thumb under my chin. Kissing Wyatt was like being lost deep in thought, that moment when everything else around you fades, and you are left with nothing more than the feeling of his lips to mine. I was really starting to love that place.
"Do you want to get in the water?" He doesn't give me the chance to answer before kissing me once again. Gliding his tongue over mine and I gripped his coat and tugged, needing to feel more of him.
"When your friend asked you to keep an eye on his property I’m pretty sure he didn't mean use it at your leisure. What would he think if he caught us?"
Wyatt started backing me up toward the water, slowly unzipping my coat. "He knows all about me being here, and that I brought you with me." After my coat is gaped open, he started to slide it over my shoulders before laying it on the rocks to our side.
"So, this was some orchestrated plan the two of you worked out?"
"No," his smile told me he was fibbing. "I mean it was my plan and he just agreed to ensure I had some uninterrupted time with you."
Again, with such honesty, this man surprised me more each day.
Chapter Twenty-Three
Wyatt

Lounging back, I spread my arms out wide and watched. Sadie was beautiful and sexy, but timid too. I'm sure somewhere hidden inside of her was an adventurous woman, but it was almost like she was afraid to show that side.
"It's so cold out," Shivering she looked around, twisting her body from side to side as if she was afraid at any time someone was going to find us here.
"It's warm in here," I wasn't going to allow her to talk herself out of this. "Besides I think it more of a fear than being cold." When she faced me one again, she narrowed her eyes, staring me down. "I'll admit Sadie, I thought you were determined, more dauntless, but maybe I was wrong."
"That's not gonna work."
"What," shrugging I tried my hardest to hide my smile.
"Taunting me," I noticed the way she was already trying to remove her shoes from her feet as she continued to challenge me. "I'm not gonna fall for your little game." But she was doing just that. Instead of firing back I sat there in the hot water with a smirk on my face while one piece of her clothing at a time hit the pile.
When she was down to nothing but a pair of royal blue panties with a matching bra, I felt myself grow hard. She was perfect and she was killing me slowly.
"If I'm getting in, it's because I want to." She dipped one foot in and then the other. "Not because you decided to make it a challenge."
Again, I don't bite back, I wait for her to be completely inside before I reached out and hooked her waist pulling her in toward me. Without hesitation, she positioned herself on my lap straddling me. I noticed the look in her eyes change from playful to turned on in a matter of seconds when she felt what she was doing to me.
"The water feels nice," I shifted, knowing that I was pressed against her in the perfect position. Immediately she bit her lip and I swear I heard a little moan escape her. "But you feel better." Leaning in I kissed her shoulder, moving upward to her chest. The palms of my hands roaming over her thighs, her sides and around to her back. Tracing the contour of her neck with my tongue she looked up, allowing me better access.
When she pushed her hips forward, grinding against me I grabbed her hips and guided her. I didn’t want to come off as demanding, but I was losing the battle with control fast. She trembled, moving quickly to grip my hair in search of my mouth. So many things rolling around in my mind, the desire overpowering the rest. I wanted to be a gentleman, but it was proving to be more difficult with time.
Sadie was a temptress, she knew what she did to me, and her challenging nature excited me in ways that I had never felt before.
I wanted this woman, so damn bad.
With one hand on her ass, I traced over her hip with the other. Shivering, she pushed out her chest, and I needed no further invitation. Pulling down the cup of her bra and licked over her nipple and her hips moved, chasing the friction. My eyes remained locked on her, I didn't want to miss a second of her reaction. Biting gently, I gave the hardened bud a little tug, before sucking once more.
"Wyatt," the sound of my name falling from her lips drove me mad.
"What do you need?"
"More," the way she moved over me I'd wished more than anything that we were both bare and I was buried inside of her. My head was spinning.
Releasing my grip on her ass and carefully tracing along the crease of her leg, feeling the lace of her underwear against my fingertip made my heart race even faster. Reaching the very spot I knew she wanted me most, I pulled up the edge of her panties and sought her wetness. Just as I thought she was as turned on as I was. With no trouble at all my finger slid inside of her and instantly Sadie started to move.
I was going to lose my shit, I could feel it. I was like a teenage boy about to embarrass himself.
The way her inner walls squeezed my finger, her lips parted slightly and the whisper of my name as she continued to grind was too much. Adding a second finger, I allowed her to move against more and I was lost in her. Seeing her lips part, the continuous swivel of her hips, the grinding of her body against my own it was all so fucking hot.
Suddenly her body jerked, she threw her head back and my name, followed by a yes echoed throughout the dark night. And that was the final straw, I was done. I shook, feeling my own release rip through me like an uncontrollable tidal wave.
It took several seconds for either of us to regain some control. I felt hazy, my body still suffering from aftershocks of the moment we'd just shared.
When she finally looked back at me, laughter bubbled in her chest. "Maybe we should never tell your friend about this." Sadie buried her face into the crook of my neck, her body still vibrated with laughter.
In that moment something inside of me clicked, and I held her tightly to me. Her amusement, mixed with the elated feelings I had, clarity and acceptance I was happier than I had ever been. I knew right then that I wanted to have a million more moments just like that one. I wanted to act crazy, live life and I wanted to do it w
ith Sadie Michaels at my side.
The feelings I had for her in such a short time surprised me, I'd sworn I'd never again allow another woman into my heart. My life would remind closed off beyond a physical connection, it was too messy, but Sadie was different. She was like an unstoppable force that gave me hope. Truth was with Sadie I don't think falling is avoidable. She was nothing like Karlie, not even close. Falling for her carefree spirit and her kind heart was without a doubt something I already knew I was doing.
I stretched my arms above my head, feeling the ache in my muscles. The sensation of a hand gliding over my chest before slipping just beneath the edge of the blankets brought a smile to my face. My legs tensed when fingers wrapped around my cock and started to move up and down.
I fought the urge to roll over and cover her body with mine.
Slow strokes, soft kisses over my chest and up my neck left me breathless. Then the wetness of a tongue against my cheek caused my body to tense in an entirely different way.
Jerking up in surprise I come face to face with Gus as he panted and slobbered. Scanning over my bedroom I realized I was alone and the visions I was just having were nothing more than a dream.
"Smooth," I tell Gus and his head tilted to the side, just before he whined.
Climbing out of bed I treaded across the floor and straight for the bathroom. When finished I looked back to find him following me. "Come on," I'd slept like shit. The second I left Sadie at her door after yet another round of heavy kissing I went home feeling like I hadn't just come in my boxers like a schoolboy an hour prior. I was a damn mess, a pent-up hormone-driven mess.
Opening the back door to let Gus through I found that Sadie had already left. I knew she had an early morning setting up her booth, which is why I begrudgingly left her at her doorstep. What I really wanted to do was bring her to my place and keep her up all night doing all the things I'd imagined doing to her for hours.
