John G. Hemry (aka Jack Campbell)

John G. Hemry (a.k.a. Jack Campbell) is the author of the best-selling Lost Fleet series under the pen name Jack Campbell (Dauntless July 2006, Fearless January 2007, other volumes to follow). Under his own name, he’s also the author of the ‘JAG in space’ series, the latest of which is Against All Enemies. His short fiction has appeared in places as varied as the latest Chicks in Chainmail anthology (Turn the Other Chick) and Analog magazine (which published his Nebula Award-nominated story Small Moments in Time). John’s nonfiction has appeared in Analog and Artemis magazines as well as BenBella books on Charmed, Star Wars, and Superman. John is a retired US Navy officer who lives in Maryland with his wife (the incomparable S) and three great kids.
Bud Sparhawk
BROADSIDE ALLIANCES
Bud Sparhawk began writing science fiction stories in 1975 and, after two sales, stopped writing for thirteen years. Since again taking up the pen, his stories and articles have appeared frequently in Analog, Asimov’s, and other SF magazines as well as anthologies. Lawrence M. Schoen
THRESHER
Lawrence M. Schoen holds a Ph.D. in cognitive psychology, with a special focus in psycholinguistics. He spent ten years as a college professor, and has done exten-sive research in the areas of human memory and language. His background in the study of behavior and the mind provide a principal metaphor for his fiction. He cur-rently works as the director of research and chief compliance officer for a series of mental health and addiction treatment facilities. He's also one of the world's foremost authorities on the Klingon language, having championed the exploration of this con-structed tongue and lectured on this unique topic throughout the world. Among other writing endeavors, he is currently expanding “Thresher” to novel length. He lives in Philadelphia with his wife, Valerie, who is neither a psychologist nor a speaker of Klingon.
Patrick Thomas
DERELICTION OF DUTY
Patrick Thomas is the author of over 75 published short stories and more than sixteen books including seven books plus two spin-offs in the popular fantasy humor series Murphy’s Lore.
Patrick co-edited Hear Them Roar and the upcoming New Blood vampire anthology. He has edited for Fantastic Stories and Pirate Writings. His novellas appear in Go Not Gently from Padwolf and Flesh and Iron from the Two Backed Books imprint of Raw Dog Screaming.
His stories have sold to many anthologies including Until Somebody Loses an Eye, Hardboiled Cthulhu, Dark Furies, Clash of Steel 3: Demon, Unicorn 8, Jigsaw Nation, Crypto-Critters Vol. 1 & 2, The Dead Walk Vol. 2 & 3, and Warfear. Patrick is penning three issues of a comic mini-series with artist Daniel Horne. His Graveyard Angel series is currently being serialized in Cthulhu Sex magazine. He has a short story collection coming out from Elder Signs Press as well as a novella in another Two Backed Books collection centered around Kali. Terrorbelle, The Daemor, and the DMA will also be getting their own collections in the near future.

Tony Ruggerio
PERSPECTIVE
Tony Ruggiero has been publishing fiction since 1998. His science fiction, fan-tasy, and horror stories and novels have appeared in both print and electronic medi-ums. His published novels include Team of Darkness and Aliens and Satanic Creatures Wanted: Humans Need Not Apply. Tony is also a contributing author to The Fantasy Writers’ Companion from Dragon Moon Press. Other collaborative work in-clude the anthologies The Writers for Relief Anthology and No Longer Dreams.

Tony retired from the United States Navy in 2001 after twenty-three years of service. He and his family currently reside in Suffolk, Virginia. While continuing to write, Tony teaches at Old Dominion University, Saint Leo University, and Tidewater Community College in Norfolk, VA.
C. J. Henderson
SHORE LEAVE
C.J. Henderson is the creator of both the Jack Hagee hardboiled detective series and the Teddy London supernatural detective series. He is the author of some forty novels and books, everything from The Encyclopedia of Science Fiction Movies to Black Sabbath: The Ozzy Osbourne Years. A professional writer for some thirty years, he has also had published some thousands of non-fiction articles as well as hundreds of short stories. In the wonderful world of comics, he has worked with everyone's characters—from Archie to the Punisher and from Batman to Cherry Poptart. He tries to finish at least 10,000 words a day, but often will settle for 80 or 90, especially if an episode of Hercules or Xena is on.
