Alexandra “Attie” Hotep is no virgin to attacks. Her ancestors, the Zarconians, were hunted to near-extinction, leaving the existence of their home, Atlantis, and their people little more than myth.

When a class trip turns deadly, Attie and her friends become stranded in the middle of the Pacific, and Attie finds herself targeted once more.

Enter Doug Hutchinson – the school’s soccer star with his own secrets. Attie and Doug soon realize the uncharted island’s wild animals aren't the only threats. There is a traitor amidst the group, one that plans to turn all Zarconians into permanent myths. And Attie is next.

She doesn’t know it yet but she’s been here before—twice in fact. Though, she’s never lived past the age of sixteen.

Now in her third lifetime, Brooke must stay alive until the equinox, when she will be gifted with a limited-time use of ancient power. Only then will she be able to defeat the evil that has plagued her for centuries.

When another girl is attacked, Aileen learns that Jamie’s family belongs more to myths and legends than they do in the real world—they are selkies.

But they aren’t the only ones in her small fishing town who can keep a secret. As Aileen uncovers the truth, she learns why her own soul is bonded to the sea–and faces a painful and dangerous choice.
