His to Use: Mastering Melody, Book 1

Seemingly satisfied with my remaining silent, I heard the squeak of the shower knobs being turned and held my breath for whatever would come next.

Ice cold water rained down as a result and pelted every raw inch of my skin, screams ripping unbidden from my throat and me with no way to escape them.

A slap across my face had me tipping sideways for a moment before he grabbed my hair and pulled it, making me follow in total cluelessness and blindness until he said, “When I let go, you’ll turn to the left on your knees. Then put your ass in the air and cover your head with your hands, keeping your face down.”

Giving me barely a second to register what he said before releasing his hold, I moved as quick as possible, ignoring the sting of the cold water while trying not to tremble from the chill setting in. I didn’t know what he would do, but I couldn’t scream anymore. It seemed to move him to more violence instead of making him stop and I didn’t like pain; I certainly didn’t want to invite it when I could do something to hopefully lessen it.

So when I heard him pull the detachable shower head from the wall, I bit my lip in preparation for whatever he was going to do, and relief flooded through me as he moved the water from hitting my whole body to just between my legs. Yes, it was fucking cold, but he hadn’t hit me there so it didn’t hurt.

But then he proved he would cause me pain whenever he could by yanking on the ribbons down there instead of untying them more gently, and although it wasn’t hard enough to tear the rings out, it was enough to have me swallowing cries of sharp pain begging to escape.

“Don’t hold back.” When I didn’t cry out, he tugged harder while twisting the ribbons, responding with a hearty laugh when I yelped. “Good girl. I want your natural reactions, so don’t hold back — unless you want more pain. I’m happy to oblige if that’s the case. Is it?”

He knew damn well it wasn’t. “No, Master.”

“Pity.” Letting go of the ribbons, he rubbed what I assumed was the rag up and down between my legs, cleaning me off before dropping it with a plop to the bottom of the tub. “I’ve been too easy on you, pet. I thought you would wish to please me considering our agreement, but since that isn’t the case, it seems you’ll need to be put in your place first. Maybe you’ll be ready to serve me properly once you see where those who displease end up.”

At those words, mainly due to thinking I’d done everything he asked me to when it was reasonable, I lost my cool and shouted even while staying in position. “What the fuck did you expect by telling me not to move? It was a long time, and an impossible task, which you knew when you fucking told me—”

The sudden whack of his hand on my tailbone cut off my rant, his fingers sliding down the crack of my ass where he smacked both cheeks while laughing. Laughing! Not to mention he completely ignored my outburst as he said, “Yes, you definitely need to be taught a few lessons. Don’t move, pet. I’ll be right back.”

He left the water running, the shower head hanging down into the tub and spraying straight between my legs. I kept still, afraid of moving even a little since I couldn’t see, and knowing that hurting myself by trying to get out might cause more problems than anything else.

I tried not to think about what horrific things he considered “lessons” might be in store for me as the sound of feet slapping against the cheap tile of the bathroom floor alerted me to his reappearance.

Without warning, he grabbed a fistful of my hair and yanked me to my knees, eliciting a shocked gasp with a jab of a needle into my neck.

“Sweet dreams, pet. I’ll see you again soon.”

My eyelids grew heavy as his hot breath brushed against my ear, the whispered words exhibiting a darkness that made clear things were about to get much worse in my new life.

I drifted off, my heart filled with fear from being at his mercy, and knowing his torture had just begun.
