The rising tide built from the tips of her toes then splintered through her. It turned into electricity, pricking at her skin then making heart slam against her chest harder and harder. Yes, this was what it felt like to be with a real man.

Soon, she had no control of anything. With a swirl of Pitbull’s tongue, Anke was water on the floor. Then he added a finger, sinking it into her hard and fast. Anke’s entire world exploded. She arched upward, sinking her nails into Pitbull’s shoulders while trying to mute the shout of happiness threatening to erupt from her body.

Pitbull released her only to slide his tongue along her length. He forced her cry of happiness from her lips. No matter how desperately she’d wanted to keep that to herself. He backed up and she trembled, writhed around on the floor trying to control her breathing. He pulled her into his arms and cuddled her to his chest. Anke was pretty sure he thought his action would sooth her but his masculine scent only made things sexier.

“More,” Anke panted, reaching down to grab his cock and tugged. “I want more.”

Pitbull set her on the floor and left the room.

“Daniel?” Anke called, confusion and disappointment pulsing through her. She pushed to her elbow and tried sitting up. “Pitbull! Where are you…”

She sighed and flopped back to the floor. After a few seconds, regret washed over her and she scrambled for her clothes. She couldn’t remember a time she’d gotten dress so fast. It was something to give yourself to a man whose body made you forget everything. Then have him set you aside and leave like that. She covered her face, remembering begging him for more—begging him to take her.

Desperate to pull herself together, Anke went to the fridge to grab something to drink.

“You’re dressed.” Pitbull’s voice was soft yet like a simmering storm.

“Well, you didn’t want me anymore so what did you expect?” She didn’t face him. Instead, she grabbed a glass jug from the ridge and was stepping away to find a glass when he caught her arm.

She gasped as she felt her body turning with his power rather than her own. He took the jug and dropped it in the sink. It broke—she knew it did.

“What in the hell is your issue?” She demanded.

  “Open your mouth, Anke.”

If he thought he was going to get what he wanted then toss her away then make demands—he had another thing coming. Anke opened her mouth to tell him to go fuck himself but when she didn’t, he merely pushed a condom packet between her teeth. She realized her mistake then and suddenly embarrassment filled her.

“You actually thought.” Pitbull moved behind her. “I’d walk away after the things you did to my body?”

Before she could reply, Pitbull caught the back of her top and tugged. The sound of material coming apart filled the air. She pulled the condom packet from her mouth and tried reaching up.

  “Daniel don’t….”

Too late. He’d ripped her shirt open and tugged it from her body.

“Do you want to stop, Anke?” Pitbull asked. “Tell me and I’ll back off. We won’t do anything you don’t want.”

“I want. But you just shredded my top.”

  “It was in my way.”

She trembled at the irritation in his voice even as she removed her pants before he could rip through that as well. He led her to the kitchen counter and bent her over it. He took the condom packet from her fingers and Anke waited. A large finger tested her wetness but didn’t stay for long. She moaned and writhed her body from side to side showing her disappointment.

“How do you want this, Anke?” Pitbull asked, leaning forward and nibbling at her shoulders. “Hard and fast, or slow and steady?”

“Whatever my body is telling you,” Anke panted.

  “Good girl.”

He gripped her hips, used his foot to spread her legs then slammed into her body like a storm. He growled while he did it, turning Anke on even more. From behind, he rode her hard, fast, rough—at first she was stunned. But each pump of his hips left her putty and moaning. She found herself begging him to go faster, harder—to give her more. Her toes curled. Her knees buckled.

But Pitbull never once let her fall.

One orgasm melted into a second before he pulled from her, pushed her to her knees and took her from behind again. Each time he smashed into her G spot, Anke's eyes rolled back. He pumped her, making her dig her nails into the floor, snapping them. Anke didn’t care. All she knew was, Pitbull was the best lover she’d ever had and it had to happen again and again and again—she screamed as another climax tore through her.

This time, Pitbull grunted, braced a palm to her lower back and pushed. This made him sink the deepest he’d ever gone. Her world exploded into white light as he lost himself inside her. The condom expanded and she knew he was coming. She smiled, rolled her hips against him and listened to the loud growl it elicited.

  “Damn, Anke.” Pitbull muttered. “Damn.”

She smiled as he seemed to melt from her body and fell to the floor on his back, breathing hard. Her body brought him to his knees and made him speechless.

Anke couldn’t believe how sexy the thought made her feel. It was an amazing sensation that fluttered through her like the tingle she got from a butterfly landing on her forehead.

“Are you okay?” She rolled to her back beside him.

“Better than.” Pitbull whispered. “You brought out this animal…”

  “Daniel, they call you Pitbull.”

He laughed softly. “Has nothing to do with my prowess in bed, I assure you. What about you? Are you okay?”

  She giggled.

  “Still mad at me?”

“Sorry. When you left it was like you’d tossed me aside because I was begging you to…”

“Anke, you really should give your body a little more power.” Pitbull rolled over to drag his fingertips along her stomach. .”You’re a very sexy woman who wields a lot off strength with just a swish of your hips.”

Anke blushed. “I’ll make you a deal.”

  “Oh? I like deals.”

She grinned and smacked his arm. “I’ll use the power of my hips only on you.”

A smile spread his lips and filled his eyes. “Out of all the deals I’ve ever made, I like this one most of all. I tell you what. Let’s go to the bedroom and we can—um—seal this deal.”

Anke laughed but moaned as he slid his palm down her body to sink his middle finger into her.

Pitbull didn’t want to leave Anke’s bed. All he wanted after they made love was to bask in the afterglow. Everything about Anke did him in—everything about her pulled him in so many wonderful ways that left him throbbing. He couldn’t remember feeling so much for another woman. But, when Mouth and Miracle showed up for security and company detail, Pitbull knew the moment this was all over, he’d lose her. Any thoughts he might have had of trying to become more to her than just a fling, died.

Not too long later, Zero’s arrival solidify to Pitbull that his time with Anke was almost over. Though a little gutted, Pitbull spoke to them, detailing the plan. But this was different—his mind wasn’t truly in it.

On their way to his truck, he figured it was the best time to pull his shit together. Pitbull knew if he kept thinking of Anke’s mouth around the head of his hardened arousal, someone wouldn’t be going back home after the mission.

They drove in silence to the bookstore. From time to time he could tell Zero was staring at him with questioning eyes but he pretended he didn’t know. The store looked desolate in the darkness. But in one window, close to the back, a lone light flickered through the corners of what seemed to be blinds. Pitbull stared at it, wondering what could be happening so late.

“How do you want to play this?” Zero asked.

“Very, very quietly. Right now we just want to gather intel. The less they know we’re here the better.”

“Remember, Tex couldn't find footage or even hang in through a phone. Which means they won't be able to see us coming.
But, we should be careful nonetheless. Places like this usually have dogs.”

  “True.”

Both men sighed in unison. After another few moments, Pitbull checked his weapon and holstered it. He unbuttoned his coat and pulled the truck a little further down the street and into a crowded parking lot for a nearby restaurant. It would draw less attention than parking it on the side of the road. The last thing they needed was some uniform getting curious.

They crossed the street and moved in silence toward the bookstore—or what they were all certain was a cover for something else. Nothing moved in the stillness. The car was on a section of road that didn’t see much traffic—another red flag as to why one would put a business there. From the inside, they could hear machines whirring, and the muffled hum of voices. Pitbull couldn’t make out what was being said, but they inched their way along the wall until they arrived at a back door. On the far side of it, sat an open window.

Pitbull checked to ensure he would not be seen, then snapped a few pictures of the interior with his phone. The men standing around a table were not familiar to him. The first was tall with dark hair while the other pudgy, with graying red hair. Zero moved to his other side and together they watched and listened.

“Any idea where she is?” the pudgy man asked. “I mean this is getting ridiculous. We’re losing money every damn second they’re out there.”

“Who is going to believe her?” the other wanted to know. “Some ex junkie who sold her body for money. Come on.”

“And you’re willing to take the chance, are you?”

“Not really. But what other options do we have? Anyway, tell me about the man you saw with her at the church.”

  “Tall—big sucker.”

  “Anything else?” The redhead asked.

“What else did you want me to see? I didn’t want to get squish like a bug.”

The other man growled. “I think now we’re on damage control—we shut up the junkie permanently. What about Abigail?”

“You’re willing to go to prison for this chick? She would have brought us some coin, yes. But we can always find another. Right now, we ignore her and cover our asses.”

At that moment, the door opened and a third man entered. This man, Pitbull knew. Zero must have read his mind for his friend motioned for Pitbull to remain silent. Deniz seemed to have a death wish and Pitbull would be all too happy to grant it.

With a motion with his head, Pitbull lead Zero back away from the building.

“Backup won’t be here in time,” Zero said. “We’re going to have to find away to separate them and take them down.”

  “Exactly what I was thinking.”

“Do you think one of those cars belong to them?” Zero asked. “We could set off the alarm. It wouldn’t take all three to shut it off.”

  “Let’s try it. Wait here.”

Pitbull glanced both ways and darted across the lot. He checked both cars to see which one would have an alarm set. He found the newest one, pulled his coat down over his fingers to mask prints and braced his hands to the roof of the car. Sliding one foot back to stabilize himself, Pitbull gritted his teeth and pushed. True to form after a couple of rocks, the car’s alarm blared loud enough to wake the dead.

When he heard the door flying open, he released it and slipped to his haunches. The man probably used a remote to turn the alarm off, so, Pitbull braced his back into it, and pushed. Once more the motion set off the alarm. This time, the man rushed out, swore under his breath and hurried to the driver’s side of the vehicle. Pitbull snuck around and caught him against the back of the head with a large fist.

The man crumbled to the ground.

With some help from Zero, Pitbull carried their first victim into the brushes, and using ripped strips from Zero’s shirt, they bound and gagged him.

“My turn,” Zero said, mischief dancing in his eyes.

It took only a couple of minutes for the pudgy man to step through the door looking for the redhead. Pitbull watched Zero catch the man around the throat in a mixed martial arts move, rendering him unconscious in seconds. The two brought the pudgy man to join the red head before stepping through the door to find Deniz.

  “Hello again, Deniz,” Pitbull said.

  “Pitbull—what the fuck?”

“We were about to ask you the same question,” Zero said. “It seems the two of you know each other.”

“Sure we do—we’re old friends, aren’t we, Deniz?”

Deniz backed up but Pitbull kept advancing. Instead of giving in, Deniz started a fight by throwing things from a nearby table at Pitbull. The cop easily sidestepped the flying debris and reached for Deniz who lashed out with a fist, catching Pitbull against the shoulder. Pitbull twisted and brought his hand up—backhanding Deniz across the face. The smaller man hit the ground but wasn’t about to be taken in. He kicked at Pitbull while skidding backward.

“Why do they always make it so complicated?” Zero asked.

Instead of replying, Pitbull grabbed Deniz by the front of the shirt and shoved him hard before releasing him. The man slammed into a pile of books, sending then scattering throughout the room. Zero picked Deniz up then, slammed him face first into the table and quickly cuffed him.

“Let’s take a ride, shall we, Deniz?” Zero asked.

With Mouth in contact with Beast and the others, Anke sat across from Miracle. They made some food, and spoken some since being alone but Anke found herself becoming jealous of Miracle. Though she wasn’t a cop, from what Anke gathered, Miracle was dating one of the guys in the group. She was a nice woman, bright brown eyes, curves in all the right places, hair tied back in a ponytail. Yes, Miracle Jones was everything Anke wanted to be in life.

With a shake of her head, the two left dinner to keep warm then retired to the living room with their drinks. Mouth was standing on the balcony on the phone so Anke sat on one of the single chairs across from the sofa. She took a long drink from her soda then couldn’t control the loud belch that escaped her throat afterward. She covered her mouth with her hand. “I’m so sorry—just—wow!”

Miracle laughed. “Don’t even worry about it. I spend a great deal of time with the gang so I’m used to it.”

“Oh gawd.” Anke set the drink away from her just in case she was tempted to gulp from it again. “So, you’re dating who? Mouth?”

  “No—Beast.”

“Where do they get these nicknames? I mean, do they have to be like every military movie I’ve ever seen?”

“Well, Mouth got his because apparently he can talk his way out of anything.” Miracle chuckled. “Zero—his name is Rei which means Zero in Japanese. Beast is actually a nickname of a nickname. His full callsign is Beastmode—because when he goes after someone he doesn’t stop until he gets them. Pitbull—well, you’ve seen the size of the man.”

And tasted it, and felt it…

“Yeah.” Anke replied sheepishly. “Makes sense. What about Barbie?”

“Ah yes.” Miracle smiled fondly. “She is the sniper of the team—silent, yet deadly.”

“So—I still don’t get why they call her Barbie and not something like Silent Night or…Cyanide.”

“Well, her nickname has nothing to do with work. It’s because she is a fashionista.”

Anke arched a brow. “Fashionista? Sabine?”

Miracle nodded. “They think it's funny because when people hear them call her Barbie, people underestimate her until she puts a bullet between their eyes from a football field away.”

  “Wow,” Anke mused.

  “Yeah. She’s badass.”

“How did you and Beast meet? If you don’t mind me asking.”

“I don’t mind at all.” Miracle glanced over to where Mouth was on the balcony. “Actually, I love telling the story. I came to Germany to research my dissertation. Somehow, I got embroiled in a whole thing with a neo nazi who tried to kill me—It’s a long story. I called the only person I knew of who could help me and he sent Beast a
nd his guys—and gal.”

  “Who’d you call?”

  “Tex.”

Anke tilted her head. “Why call Tex? He’s American—isn’t he?”

“He is—but if anyone can help you with anything, it’s Tex. Besides, I’ve known him for a while. No matter what I needed, he’d have my back. It wasn’t hard falling for Beast. As dangerous as he looks and even though we argue sometimes, I know he loves me deeply.”

  Anke sighed. “I wanted that.”

  “Past tense?”

“Let’s just say, I’ve never had very good luck with men.”

“We either.” Miracle stretched her legs out. “But, somehow my life went full circle and brought me to Beast. He’s supported me, even after I came out of the whole ordeal with a kick ass case of PTSD.”

“Do you think Pitbull is like Beast?”

Miracle smirked. “See something you like, eh?”

Anke’s cheeks heated. She rubbed a palm against them. How could she not like a man who would give her control of his body then rock her world? How could she not like a man who was so large yet held her as if she was the most fragile thing in the world? He could she not like a man who’d grabbed her hair, then spanked her until she was nothing but a watery, blissful mess?

“He’s not bad on the eyes, is all.” Anke couldn’t meet Miracle’s stare then. “But I know once this whole deal is over with his sister, I’ll go back to little-ole-Hennef and he will once again be Pitbull.”

“Why can’t there be both? It’s not like Hennef is North Carolina.” Miracle leaned in. “I left my life across the world to be with Beast because I saw something in him and what I felt told me he was worth it. Sure, what you feel for Pitbull isn’t love—yet. But every love starts with an attraction, right?”

  “Right.”

  “Some unsolicited advice?”

Anke smiled and looked up at Miracle. “Sure.”

“There is no need to be nervous. You’re a beautiful woman. And from what I can tell, you are intelligent and you don’t spit when you talk.”

  Anke laughed.

“When this is over.” Miracle continued. “Take Pitbull aside and say to him, Pit—I’d like to take you out for a drink.”
