Charlie: A young, male Guard who works on Level Five with his older brother Louis.
Cold Creepers: A creature created on Level Five. Reptilian-like, about three feet tall and over six feet long, walk on all fours. They are green, gray or brown in color. They generally hunt in packs.
Fersia: young, female House Servant. Works for Conguise.
Great Death: The event that swept over the earth, killing most humans, all domestic animals and all wild animals larger than a wild turkey.
Guards: Belong to the Almightys. They hunt for the Almightys and protect the Almightys. They vary in size and hair color. Their eyes are usually brown. They have large canine teeth and an enhanced sense of smell and hearing. The males generally wear facial hair.
House Servants: Belong to Almightys. They manage the households and businesses of the Almightys. They are slender in build and short, between four and five feet tall. They have fangs and claws and their eyes are a vibrant hue. They have an enhanced sense of smell and hearing.
Hugh Truent: A male Almighty. The youngest Almighty to ever be bestowed the title of High. Son of Sarah Truent. (Lake of Sins: Secrets In Blood)
Jocko: A young, male House Servant who is very attractive.
Jorge: A male Guard. Belongs to Professor Conguise.
Laddie: A male Guard. Belongs to Professor Conguise.
Lake of Sins: A village near a lake and forest. One of the most ancient communities.
Louis: A young, male Guard who works on Level five with his younger brother Charlie.
Matilda: House Servant. Works for Conguise. Fersia’s mother.
McBrid: A scientist who works for Professor Conguise on Level Five. Unknown to the others, he’s a mix between a Guard and an Almighty.
Mephi: Slur to describe mix-breeds.
Parson: An Almighty who works for Professor Conguise.
Phasmatodeas: Common name is Brush-Men. A creature created in Level Five that resembles sticks. (Lake of Sins: Betrayed)
Professor Conguise: A male Almighty. He’s tall and thin with gray hair. Runs the lab.
Reeky: A male Guard who works on Level Five.
River-Men: Creature created on Level Five. Fish-like creatures. Can live in or out of water, but prefer to be in the water. They can breathe both above and below water. They have scales for skin, sharp teeth. Hunt from below the water and drag their prey under to drown it. (Chimera Chronicles: Rise of the River Man, Lake of Sins: Escape)
Rosie: A House Servant who works with Fersia.
Robert: Uncle Robert is an Almighty. The brother to McBrid’s mother. Uncle Robert’s job had been to study the ancient texts written before and during the
Sarah Truent: A female Almighty. Mother to Hugh Truent. Takes in strays and fights for the rights of the lower classes.
Scar: A female Guard. Belongs to Professor Conguise.
Scottsmoor: A male Almighty. Works on Level Five.
Stacia: The House Servant assigned to Viola Conguise.
Viola: Professor Conguise’s daughter (Lake of Sins: Secrets in Blood)
Author Bio
L. S. O’Dea grew up the youngest of seven in a family that uses teasing and tricks as an indication of love (or at least that’s what she tells herself). Being five years younger than her closest sibling often made her the unwilling entertainment for her brothers and sisters.
Before she started kindergarten her brothers taught her how to spell her first and middle name—Linda Sue. She was so proud she ran into the kitchen to tell her mother. She stood tall and recited the letters of her name: L-E-M-O-N H-E-A-D.
She’s pretty sure she has her siblings to thank for the demons that lurk in her mind, whispering dark and demented stories.
