“You have it.”
“Muriella doesn’t want the money either.”
My gaze wandered toward the house. “I won’t take it back. It may be my only chance to do right by her.”
“She’ll come around.”
“She hasn’t yet.” I dug my fingers into her hips. “I’m getting impatient.”
“Maybe Stone can get through to her.” Her brow wrinkled, unsure.
“I only know of one other person who wronged her. She’s never forgiven them, and rightly so.”
Vivian worried her bottom lip between her teeth. “This isn’t the same.”
“But she’s stubborn. And this has gone on for days.”
The woman who had needed me since she was a teenager no longer did. Now that she barely spoke to me, I realized I’d always needed her far more than I’d admitted.
I smoothed my thumb over the crease in Vivian’s worried forehead. “I’ll never forgive myself for putting her in such danger and driving her away.” My grip on Vivian tightened.
Determination filled her eyes. “We’ll just have to figure out a way to make her forgive you.”
“Together.” I dropped my forehead to hers.
“Together. Always.”
Time had just begun.

Book Stuff
This is kind of an ending and a beginning of sorts.
The idea for It’s Not Over sprouted while rocking out to “You Oughta Know” by Alanis Morisette. It’s always been a favorite song. Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned, right?
The breakup scene was scribbled down on a hotel notepad in Durango, Colorado. Not sure exactly when that was, but the idea finally got onto the computer in June 2014. (We were pretty surprised to see the date created when we looked it up. Four years ago?!) That’s kinda the process. If an idea or a scene strikes, we either scribble it out on scrap paper (one day, we’ll give you a peek into the purse that’s more like a notebook of scrap paper!) or get it in Word. That way, we can come back to it when the time is right.
We got stuck on another project (one we’re still stuck on) and decided to pursue this in early 2016. Daniel and Vivian’s story looks a lot different than that first draft. We were fortunate enough to have an amazing author friend read an early draft. She saw things we couldn’t and was the catalyst for turning this thing on its head.
Vivian and Daniel took their sweet time letting us know what really happened. So while we were waiting, Stone and Muriella started nudging us. This was never intended to be a series, but that’s what it’s turned into. Before we knew it, we had five couples who insisted their journey be told. There is so much good stuff ahead. We can’t wait for you to meet everybody.
When you read a finished book, it’s easy to forget it didn’t happen overnight. As a reader, we don’t get to see the ugly first draft or the way our favorite authors struggle to get it right. And sometimes, it takes four years to do that.
We’ve spent so much time with Vivian, Daniel, and Muriella, they’re part of our lives. To be honest, it’s weird not to be tweaking or rewriting. But that means that the journey has started. They’re out in the world and meeting all of you. We’re all in this together now.
And don’t worry. You’ll see D, V, and M again.
Thanks so much for reading and reviewing! Stone and Muriella are up next, so we’ll see you in Three Dates.
XOXO,
Grahame
Acknowledgments
This has been a long time coming. There are so many people who have helped to get us here, it could fill another book.
So we’ll start with our families. Your unconditional support means more than you know. Without you, we wouldn’t be the people we are. We love you.
This is in no particular order. All of these amazing friends helped us get where we are. With deep appreciation to those early believers, even before Grahame Claire was born…
Alessandra Torre, thank you for muddling through a very ugly version and the honest feedback. You turned this thing upside down and inside out. SueBee, your insight and guidance has grounded us. Your encouragement kept us going. Your advice made It’s Not Over so much better. April White, you’ve been a critical part of this journey. Thanks for talking stuff out and sharing your fabulous editor. Which leads us to Angela Houle. You blow us away. We can’t thank you enough for all the emails, phone calls, and making this book what it is. As you always remind us “…and all you do is follow the yellow brick road.”
L Duarte encouraged our writing and read this as many times as we have! Sarina Bowen just worked her magic, guiding us through blurb writing. P. Dangelico went above and beyond with fabulous feedback, help with the blurb, and attention to detail. C Allen who was a constant cheerleader even when life was difficult at best.
Lisa Eugene, Tia Louise, and Lauren Blakely, your well-wishes and support were much needed bright spots.
Claudia Burgoa, your answers to our endless questions, and your openness and friendship mean so much. We’d be lost without you.
The ladies of KB have made us laugh, been a constant support, and we wouldn’t be the same without you.
No book would be complete without beta readers. These lovlies gave us solid advice, honest feedback, and found our mistakes. They also cheered us on just when we needed it most. You’re all so busy, and we appreciate the time and effort you put forth. Suebee, Jessica’s Totally Over the Top Book Obsession, Stacey Is Sassy, Maria of Steamy Reads Blog, KAS, Melissa *Mel Reader*, Sabrina, and Astrid - The Bookish Sweet Tooth…all of you are stars.
To those named and unnamed who got us to this point, and to you, the reader… THANK YOU. THANK YOU. THANK YOU.
