"Miss Kim! Miss Kim!” Ryan was nearly choking.
I looked at all of them and marveled at how I could ever be so lucky as to have friends like these. Maybe Mom was right, and things did happen for a reason. She'd already been proven right about things in life not always being funny, so did this mean she was wise or that I'd become wise by realizing these things? If so, then I'd achieved my goal of finally becoming a wise-ass. Could it be this easy?
And what challenges remained ahead? Jordan was right, too. I did meet someone who I fell for and wanted to give the world to. What's more, he felt the same way. I looked over at Alan, and saw that he was looking at me, a wonderfully warm expression on his face. What evil thing was he plotting?
"Hong Kong, huh? Oh, why not?” I laughed. “What the hell can I possibly screw up there?"
