Kyla's Choice [Brothers Bound 4] (Siren Publishing Allure) Page 10

by Dace Everan

Rick sidled up next to Lila, Anne tucked under his arm. “Are we allowed to take her?” he asked.

Lila nodded. “He wanted a dance first…” She glanced at Rick then back at Kyla. “She’s glowing,” she murmured.

Rick chuckled. “Been glowing forever, Lila,” he replied, eyes twinkling as Kyla laughed at one of his brother’s jokes. “I want to marry her, Lila,” he declared.

Lila looked at him. “Are you asking me?”

Rick grinned and draped an arm over her slender shoulders. “Yeah, I am.”

Lila smiled, hugging him around the waist. “She’s always been yours, you dolt.”

He chuckled. “I’m thinking something quick… That belly’s not getting any smaller.” His gaze dragged over Kyla out on the dance floor. Pride filled him. She was going to have his baby. He wondered when she would tell him. She had to know. Three months no periods, the mood swings, the cravings… Her swollen breasts, hips, oh God the changes her body had been going through. He swore it only enhanced her sex appeal further. He smirked. “Woman thinks I don’t know her well enough to see the signs.” He rolled his eyes.

Lila stared at him. “You know?”

Rick looked at her. “Should I be insulted she told you first?”

Lila shook her head. “She told me nothing!” she argued.

Rick grinned. “We should plan something. Small. Think she would be mad if we had something small?”

Lila laughed. “No, I’ll talk to Mom and Dad. We’ll make arrangements.”

Rick laughed. “Give me a few days. She might turn around and say hell no.”

Lila got serious, glancing down at Anne. “Anne, hon, pretty sure you told Uncle Sam you would give him a dance,” she chided.

Anne nodded. She knew they were having an adult talk.

Lila watched her daughter cross the room. “Why would she say no?” she asked.

Rick smiled. “I was joking, Lila. Maybe Kyla doesn’t want to get married.”

Lila snorted. “Not knocked up, no!” she huffed.

Rick grinned. “She has to.” He gleamed as Kyla headed their way.

Lila near choked. “You don’t say anything! She’ll want to tell you, Rick,” she whispered.

Rick nodded. “Yes, I know. Hey, you and Jared at the club next week?” He changed subjects.

“Yes,” she answered. Jared hugged her.

Rick tugged Kyla close, kissing her temple. “We’re going to let Phillip out. Thought there would be a good start for him. Maybe you two can keep an eye on him?”

Lila nodded. She had heard about Phillip. Jared smiled. “Making us babysit for you now?”

  Rick grinned. “Yes, he’s nervous.”

Kyla snorted. “Don’t know what he has to be nervous about,” she grumbled.

Rick laughed. “Yeah you do. Mark, Paul, and their lady friend are in tomorrow. Thought maybe you might want to say hi. They just got back from Paris. I made dinner arrangements.”

Kyla nodded. She had wanted to meet the lady friend. The two men had shown up a few times over the years. “Yeah what time?”

  “Four.”

Kyla nodded, looking at her mom. “Oh can I take Anne out tomorrow? She likes getting manis and pedis.”

Lila nodded. “Don’t forget to feed her.”

Kyla laughed as Anne headed their way. “As if I could forget. Get to have Chinese. Don’t know where that kid came from. I took her to the smorg and she gorged. Mmm, noodles. Yes, smorg tomorrow,” she decided. She pulled from Rick’s arms and hugged her mom. “Gonna go say good night to Grandma and Grandpa.”

Jared pulled her close. “No more of those R-rated movies. Too many questions,” he said.

Kyla rolled her eyes. “I didn’t know that movie was in there,” she argued.

Jared laughed. “Anne, hug my girl,” he ordered. Anne beamed, hugging her mom and dad, following Kyla to Grandpa and Grandma.

Silvia hugged Kyla close. “You make that boy marry you, Kyla,” she ordered.

Kyla raised an eyebrow. “Pardon?” she stuttered.

Grandpa chuckled, hand touching her tummy. “Sorry, sugar, either you’re getting fat or you got a bun in the oven. We know the signs,” he uttered, voice throaty.

Kyla rolled her eyes. “Shh. Jeez, you old people,” she uttered. How the fuck was everyone guessing? Rick should be the first one to guess, to know! He saw her naked every day. Oh God, did he just think she was getting fat and being nice?

Anne frowned. “Bun in the oven?” she asked.

Kyla shushed her. “Tell you later, Anne,” she whispered.

Silvia smiled. “We’ll make arrangements,” she declared.

Kyla laughed. “Maybe he doesn’t want to marry me?” she decided haughtily.

Silvia laughed. “Bullshit, girl. The man’s wanted nothing more! Oh wait you’re not one of those bossy girls behind closed doors are you?” She narrowed her eyes suspiciously.

Kyla giggled. “No, Grandma…not bossy here.” Her cheeks tinted just slightly. OK, she was a little bossy. “Okay, Anne and I are leaving before Dad gets mad and asks more questions that you two would have put in Anne’s beautiful head.”

Leon chuckled. “Night, Kyla, Anne… Kyla, you make him bring you out. We don’t see you two enough.”

Kyla nodded. “Sunday we’ll be out for dinner,” she offered.

  They nodded. “Good. Bring dessert.”

  Chapter Fifteen

Rick pulled her close, nuzzling her neck. “We have an hour before they get here?” he whispered.

Kyla giggled. “Yes, you also said this was a social occasion… Start cooking, sugar,” she ordered.

Rick chuckled, his hands creeping up her shirt, cupping her breasts. His eyes closed at the intake of breath coming from his little beauty.

“Kay real quick,” she uttered, reaching back between them and undoing his pants.

Rick chuckled. “Always in a rush, babes.” He sucked on her neck and she groaned.

“Rick… Please, now,” she moaned, hand fisting his cock. What was wrong with her? Yes, she loved having sex with Rick, but this was ridiculous. Lately it had been “right now” or “go screw yourself.” She had no patience to wait.

He hummed against her neck. “Are you going to be mad if I just heft up your skirt and have you over the table?”

She groaned, shaking her head. That would put pressure on her belly and did ridiculous things to her and distracted her in a bad way. She looked at the couch. “Couch, please.” She let him guide her there. She gasped at the sudden draft on her ass as her skirt flipped up. She released his dick and he bent her over the back of the couch, making sure her tummy was not pressed up to cause any discomfort.

Rick caressed her ass, spread her cheeks, and teased her asshole. Kyla sighed. He hummed, grasping his dick and guiding it to the entrance of her tight drenched cunt. “Later, babes, I am taking that sweet ass,” he promised. She nodded. She would like that. It was always so crazy when they did it that way. She loved the chaos of it. Rick slid into her and they both sighed. “How do you want it, babes? Fast and hard?” He pulled on her long braid, easing her back up.

Kyla groaned. “Yes, please,” she whispered.

Rick smiled, hand releasing her braid and grasping her shoulder.

Kyla panted with every thrust, his dick filling all of her, his thrusts powerful and all-knowing. She pressed her hands into the couch, careful not to wreck the new nail job. “More please.” She panted eagerly.

Rick quickened his pace, both moaning, lost in each other. Rick reached around and fingered her clit.

  Kyla jerked. “Oh God, Rick!”

He lifted her and set her on the back of the couch. Oh he loved when she did this, sat like a frog on the back and let him pound her. “Going to finish in your ass, babes,” he panted.

She nodded. His dick caressed her sweet spot and she huffed. “More, right there. Oh, Rick, more,” she begged.

Rick hammered her till she released
her throaty growl of his name. He slipped out, spread her juices up over her ass and played with her pretty little puckered star.

“Hurry, Rick…!” She panted. She was falling fast from her high and wanted another. Rick slipped in, easing gently.

Kyla moaned, hands cupping her own breasts. Her ass soon filled and burned with that familiar good pain.

Rick bit her shoulder. “Ready, babes…?”

Kyla nodded. “Go,” she urged. She squealed with every thrust. The tremors of pain and pleasure ripped through her in a torrential storm. His finger played her clit and she climaxed with a power he had not seen of her to date.

Kyla slumped with a groan. “Think you broke me…” she whispered after a few moments of heavy pants.

Rick groaned against her neck. “You okay?” he asked, concern in his voice. He had not meant for it to be that crazy.

“Yeah… Off please, I think my tummy’s upset,” she murmured.

Rick eased from her and she crawled down, turned, and pushed him out of the way and darted down the hall.

Rick knelt down behind Kyla, rubbing her back. “Too much…? I’m sorry, Kyla, I shouldn’t have banged you so much,” he stammered. Oh shit. Had he caused her discomfort? She looked so pale.

Kyla grabbed a cloth and wiped her mouth. “No it’s been upset the last few days. I should have warned you.” She groaned, falling against his chest. “Going to go shower,” she whispered.

Rick rubbed her back. “Are you sure you’re okay,” he whispered.

Kyla giggled and nodded. “Yeah, I’ll be better after a shower… Help me up please,” she ordered. Rick eased her slowly to her feet.

  * * * *

Paul and Mark looked the two over. “Shower and a little naughty time, nice… Or was it the other way around?” Mark teased.

Kyla chuckled. “Yes, randy bugger can’t leave me alone. Jeez Rick,” she teased, kissing his jaw.

He cocked a brow at her. “Really?” He wasn’t sure if she was critiquing him or praising him.

She sighed. “Fine… He fucked me till I was sick and I puked in my hair. There does that sound better to you?” she grumbled, tears welling in her eyes for barking at him like that.

Rick stared, not sure what to do here. One minute she was giggling, the next she was yelling and now she was going to cry. Paul raised his thick eyebrows. “You need us to come back another time, Kyla?”

Kyla wiped the tears away. “No… I’m sorry, I seem to be a little emotional,” she mumbled, feeling like a complete retard. She sucked it up and held a hand out to the pretty woman between the two men. “Kyla,” she murmured.

The woman smiled, eyes twinkling. “Hilary. Paul and Mark have told me so much about you and Rick… Maybe you and I can go for a walk? I hear Rick’s cooking?”

Kyla nodded. A walk would be wonderful! “That would be great.” She needed to get out of the room as soon as possible. And right now she would take anything including going for a walk with a complete stranger.

Rick stood shocked. Just like that she was going to leave, no sorry for freaking out and exploding in front of the guests? Paul slapped him on the back. “Wow… How far along is she?” he asked after the two women were gone.

Rick looked at him. “What?” He wasn’t sure why he played stupid. Maybe his brain was still registering the fact that she just snapped at him like he was some child.

Mark sighed, entering the kitchen, and assessed the provisions laid out. He nodded. He knew what Rick was making. He rolled up his sleeves. “Hilary’s four months. Last month was hell. She thought we wouldn’t have noticed all the changes. Poor girl was all afraid we would leave her—oh be prepared for the whole ‘you’re going to leave me because I’m going to get fat and ugly and puke and have horrid gas and not want to comb my hair and wear sweat pants and…’” He looked at Paul. “Was that it?”

Paul snorted. “Oh no you only touched the tip of the iceberg on that one. She cried for like two days ranting and raving.”

Rick plopped down in his chair. None of his brothers had said anything about their wives freaking out like that. There was the odd “my back hurts, my ankles are swollen, I feel like a cow.”

Mark chuckled. “Yeah that’s what Paul looked like, too. Has she told you yet?”

Rick shook his head. “No… Shit… I need to talk to my brothers,” he mumbled. “Oh God… Jared’s going to be a grandpa…”

Paul whistled. “Oh shit I don’t even want to know what’s going through her poor head on that one. Her parents are going to be grandparents to your kids. But your brothers are going to be uncles, your parents great grandparents or grandparents?”

Rick slumped. No wonder she had been spending so much time alone. He thought she was taking all the overtime for cash. She had said something about Mexico.

He had not once thought of the consequences of them being together. Not like this. The position he had put her in was huge. She had mentioned over the years how it was weird calling Jared “Dad” and talking to him like he was a friend. He couldn’t even imagine the pressures he had put on her in that manner. Going for dinner with his brothers had always been a thing they did. But the things they discussed weren’t what normal couples talked about in front of parents and he had put her on the stand so many times without thinking. Shit, he had taken her mother-daughter relationship with her own mother and turned it into a friendship between sisters-in-law. He paled.

Paul settled across him. “You okay, Rick? Maybe she just has the flu? You look ready to puke.”

Rick looked at him. “I’m an asshole.”

Mark snorted from the kitchen. “Yes, we all are. Don’t let it get you down. Just remember when she calls you that she still loves you,” he called over his shoulder.

  * * * *

Kyla hugged the blankets close, groaning. Her tummy still churned. She had gotten sick after dinner and just gave in and excused herself, complaining of a headache. She should just tell him. She had known for like a month now! He was going to be so mad that she had kept something so big from him.

Rick climbed in behind her, placing a neatly made plate of soda crackers and sweet cookies in front of her. A soft kiss on her temple and he produced a juice in her favorite sports container. “Thank you,” she whispered.

Rick released a sigh. “If I knew you were feeling this bad, Kyla, I would have rearranged the dinner.”

Kyla shook her head. “No…my bad. I’m keeping secrets again,” she whispered. He was going to be so mad. Tears stung her eyes. She didn’t want to argue with him. Not that they ever really argued. She furrowed her brow. Did they ever argue? No. Today was the first time she had been utterly rude to him. Her heart sank.

Rick hugged her close. “You know I love you right, Kyla?”

She peeked at him, nodding. “I love you, too.”

He smiled. “I know…” He sighed, holding a fisted hand out to her. “I had so many plans, Kyla.”

Kyla looked at his fisted hand and frowned.

  “You open it,” he ordered.

Kyla pried his fingers open, eyes widening. She had seen this ring in a friggen magazine and told Mel about it. Her eyes darted to him. “That’s an engagement ring!” she stammered.

Rick grinned and nodded. “I was thinking.” He kissed her forehead. “That this beautiful woman who recently has had the oddest mood swings would take a minute, measure her whole life here, and decide if she wants to make me a permanent part of it.” He caressed her cheek.

Kyla looked at him. A mischievous glint came to her eye. “That could take a while to think about,” she whispered teasingly.

Rick nodded. “Yeah I thought you would say that.” He plopped back, his hand still held in front of her. “I’ll just wait here. My hand may go to sleep in a few minutes.”

Kyla looked at the ring then him. “You know that ring’s from Paris!” she pointed out. Mel had told her it was a specialty magazine where she ordered all the products from Paris.

  Ri
ck nodded. “Yes, my special lady has quite the…” He cleared his throat. “Expensive tastes… Thank God my house is paid for. Hey, did I tell you I bought George out.”

Kyla shook her head. “No, you didn’t.”

Rick nodded. “Must have slipped my mind, a lot of things have.” He sat up. “I’m an asshole,” he declared. Had they been that busy lately that they hadn’t been talking? That they hadn’t been sharing their life?

Kyla snorted. Yes, he was, among other things. She blushed.

Rick looked at her. “Thoughts you want to share?” he asked.

Kyla eased up, careful of her crackers. She crawled on Rick, straddling him. “I love you… Yes, you’re an asshole. I know this. I’ve been with you for four years. Oh by the way you’re like the hottest guy I’ve ever been with.” She smiled.

Rick grinned. “Thanks, I’ll brag to Darian.” Darian was the only other man he could think to allow to touch his Kyla. It had taken a few years before he brought Darian in for a threesome. Kyla had liked it to a point but confessed she didn’t like another man touching her. They found other ways to satisfy her need for double penetration.

Kyla giggled, kissing his chin. “Just like me you’re human. I know you get mad at me, that I annoy you.”

Rick smirked. “And you still love me?”

Kyla nodded. “I do.” She laid her head on his chest. “I kept a really big secret and I shouldn’t have.”

Rick nodded. “Yes, you did,” he replied.

Kyla didn’t hear the words. Her brain was too busy working what she was about to tell him. She eased up, looking at him. She wondered if the baby would have his eyes. She loved his eyes. Would it be a boy? Or a little girl for them to spoil?

Rick sighed, easing her onto her back. He lowered and lifted her shirt. “You’re the biggest chickenshit ever…” He kissed her tummy. “How far along are we?”

Kyla turned red in the face. “You knew!” she cried.

Rick raised a brow. “Hey, not turning this on me. I’m guessing.”

Kyla grunted. “You knew,” she repeated. He had to have known. He knew everything. She grasped his hair in a quick pull then ran her hands through the thick silkiness of it.
