The Silencer: A Bad Boy MMA Romance Page 5

While the evening wore on, Damon could tell that I wasn’t all there with him.

“What’s the matter with you boy? Where’s your head at? This shit is important.”

“I know it is. I’m sorry. I had a date last night and can’t get this girl out of my mind.”

“You’re over there pining over some pussy? Get that shit out of your head right now. Ain’t no pussy good enough to be risking your career because your head ain’t in the game. Snap out of it.”

Little did he know that I had no clue how good the pussy was. I just hoped I’d be able to find out sooner rather than later.

Standing backstage at the Monster Cage Fighting event, I could feel my entire body starting to shake. It happens to me before every single fight. It’s not the result of fear or being scared of my opponent. I’m pretty sure it has a lot to do with the adrenaline that rushes through my body. I get so fucking amped that I can feel the energy flowing through my entire body.

My energy only gets more out of control when my music hits. I’ve used the same music for each of my fights. When “Stranglehold” by Ted Nugent hits, the fans know that they’re about to be treated to a show. I would walk to the cage, giving anyone a high five who put their hands out in front of me. I loved the fans and they all seemed to love me.

Something strange happens when I step into the cage. It’s like a switch is flipped and a relaxing calm takes over my body. I feel the most at home when I step into the cage. I consider it to be my house and my opponent is nothing but an intruder.

As the referee was giving us our instructions in the center of the cage, I was stone cold calm with nerves of steel while Montgomery was bouncing all over the cage. He was wound up and ready to go. He kept taunting me as the referee talked.

“Yeah, you scared aren’t you motherfucker? You should be!”

He was obviously mistaking my calmness for fear. That’s fine. He wouldn’t be the first to make that mistake and I was sure he wouldn’t be the last. He was also taking this fight with me personally.

“You don’t deserve that motherfucking fight with Dodson. I’m the big dog around here. That’s my fight and I’m gonna take it from you when I knock your ass out.”

When the referee told us to touch gloves, I stuck mine out in a show of sportsmanship. Instead of showing the same sportsmanship to me, he took in a deep breath before spitting right in my face. It was the ultimate sign of disrespect.

So that’s how it is? All right. It’s on bitch.

When I walked back to my corner to await the start of the fight, I looked out into the crowd. I was surprised to see Shelly sitting in the sixth row.

“Damon, come here,” I yelled through the cage.

“What man? It’s time to fight,” he said, sticking his ear up to the cage.

“You see that girl out there in the blue dress?” I asked, nodding in her direction.

  “Yeah. What about her?”

“That’s the woman I took out. Nice, huh?”

“Yeah, gorgeous. Now get your fucking head in the game.”

I winked at him as I put my mouthpiece in. The referee asked me and my opponent if we were both ready. With nods of approval, the fight was on.

Montgomery started fast, just like I knew he would. He charged me with a head of steam, throwing bombs, hoping to catch me and end the fight early. I was doing a good job avoiding his shots while watching his left hand at the same time, trying to time his dropping it. Unfortunately, I was paying too much attention to his other hand that I didn’t see his right hook coming until it was too late. He followed it with a left jab and then a kick to my head. I went down and found myself in trouble early.

As he was coming in for the kill, I was able to shake off the hits and shoot in on his legs, attempting a double leg takedown. I knew I wasn’t going to get him onto the mat but I was just buying time to let the cobwebs clear. Once we were at a stalemate, the referee stood us back up in the center of the ring.

I glanced up at the clock to see that there was still about three minutes left in the round. I got busy, throwing jabs each time he moved in on me. No matter what he did, I would catch him, taking him off his game. Within a minute, he was getting pissed off and frustrated. He wanted to end the fight quickly. He threw a left hook, which I ducked, followed by a right uppercut that barely missed my chin. While he was off-balance, I threw the hardest overhand right that I could, catching him square on his chin. His body went limp and he fell hard. The referee was already jumping in before I had the chance to inflict any more damage. The victory was mine.

When Sasha found out that Jason was going to be fighting two nights after we had our date, I thought she was lying. He hadn’t mentioned fighting that soon when we were talking. She explained to me that he was a last minute fill-in for somebody who wasn’t able to fight.

I tried not to think about it. There was no way fighting on that short of notice could be a good thing but Sasha wouldn’t let it go. She ended up getting tickets to the event and insisted that I go with her.

“You told me you had a great time when he took you out, right?” Sasha asked.

“Yeah, it was an amazing date.”

“Good. Here’s your chance to see him again.”

I watched the fights but didn’t get excited until Jason came out. As soon as I saw him, I got butterflies in my stomach. I wanted to be happy to see him, but I wasn’t. All I could think about was how much damage he was doing to his body, and all in the name of his brother.

That man loved his brother more than himself, and it showed how selfless he was. He’d sacrifice his own well being to do what it took to get his brother home with him. I did all I could to cheer him on and encourage him as I watched him fight.

After his victory, I wanted to get out of the arena as quickly as possible but Sasha wanted to hang around to say hello to a couple of fighters that she knew. I was surprised when Jason exited the cage and immediately made his way towards us instead of going to the locker room like everyone else had done. I didn’t even realize that he had seen me sitting out in the crowd.

“I didn’t expect to see you here,” he said.

“I came with my cousin,” I nodded in her direction.

“I’m glad you came. What are your plans for the night?”

“Just heading home. I have to work in the morning.”

“Bullshit! You’re not going home. You’re coming out with me tonight. I’ve got a win to celebrate.”

Jason didn’t wait for an answer. He laid a kiss hard on my lips and made his way back to the locker room. Sasha was staring at me with her mouth wide open. She looked like she was jealous.

Celebrating was an understatement. I’m not a big drinker but Jason wouldn’t let that fact stop him from buying me drink after drink. When I told him I hated the taste of alcohol, he simply switched out the shots of Jack Daniels for girlie drinks. They were delicious and that wasn’t good. Before I knew what was happening, I was drunk off my ass.

We’d both driven to the bar in our own cars but there was no way either of us were going to be driving our cars home. It was getting late and I still had to get up early for work.

“Jason, I need to get out of here. I’m going to call a cab. You want to share one with me?”

“No, I live about a half-hour from here. I’ll have to call my promoter and have him come get me.”

The bar was only about ten minutes from my place and I had a feeling that we were both going to pass out soon anyway. I also didn’t want him to have to beg for a ride when I lived so close.

“Why don’t you come and crash at my place tonight? I have to get up early so we can’t stay up talking but you can at least get out of here and get some rest.”

He finished his beer while I called a cab. Within a few minutes, we were sitting in the back of a taxi and were heading to my apartment. I was surprised that he made it to my place without passing out. He appeared to be in and out o
f consciousness the entire drive.

Somehow, we both managed to get up my stairs and into my apartment without falling down and hurting ourselves. He had me point him in the direction of the bathroom while I fell down into the bed. I didn’t even bother to take off my dress. I was tired and wanted to sleep.

I was lying there with my eyes closed when I felt my bed move. I realized that I never told him where he was going to sleep, although I assumed he’d just go to sleep on the couch. Feeling his body pressed up against me, I realized I couldn’t be more wrong.

Before I knew it, he leaned over and kissed me. He kissed me deep, his tongue exploring mine. I could feel the lust within his kiss as his lips crashed against mine. I should have stopped him. I could have easily said no but I didn’t want to. Maybe it was the alcohol. Maybe it was the fact that I hadn’t been laid in ages. Whatever it was, I wanted it just as much as he seemed to want it.

The kissing quickly turned into more. The passionate kisses were matched by his strong hands firmly gripping my breasts before he stuck his hand under my dress, grabbing my ass. He pulled me in close to him, pressing his hard dick against me, leaving very little to my imagination.

Rolling me onto my back, Jason pulled the top of my dress down to my stomach and stripped me of my bra in record time. His lips kissed down my neck to my breasts, biting and sucking on my nipples when he reached them. I was soaked.

I arched my back as he reached under my dress to remove my panties. His fingers hooked the lace straps of my panties before he slowly slid them down my legs, kissing my thighs as he went. The wetness between my legs was met with the cool air in the room, sending a chill through my body. Before I knew it, my legs were spread and his face was buried in my pussy.

He started licking me gently at first, separating my lips with his fingers and using his tongue to run back and forth over my button. He glided his tongue over my clit, just barely coming in contact with it, making me feel like electricity was shooting through my body. He worked his tongue like a pro, licking me to climax and sucking my clit between his teeth.

Jason worked his fingers inside of me, tantalizing my G-spot. It was like he had a map to my body and knew the exact path that he needed to take. I started arching my back and bucking my hips along with his movements, urging him to keep going. Curling his finger, he hit my g-spot just right as he started sucking my clit, not stopping until I came all over his face.

It was my turn to show him what I could do in the bedroom. I sat up and pushed him back onto the bed, slowly unbuttoning his jeans as I seductively looked up into his eyes.

I took his cock into my mouth while maintaining eye contact, sucking it hard and fast. Once I had it all wet, I stroked it while playing with his balls. I loved how his dick felt between my lips as I took him deep into my throat. He grabbed me by my hair, forcing me to take him in and out of my mouth faster.

This bad boy wasn’t going to last long. I could feel his cock swelling in my mouth and just when I thought he was about to pass the point of no return, he pushed me off of him and climbed on top of me. Living up to his reputation on the street, he took complete control of me.

With my legs splayed wide, he pushed himself into me. It had been quite a while since I’d been fucked that it was a tight fit but he didn’t let that stop him. Deeper, he continued pressing me into the mattress until he couldn’t go anymore. He pounded me hard, rubbing my clit as he fucked my pussy, causing me to cum again.

With my lady parts sensitive, this orgasm was more intense than the one I’d had earlier. I moaned out his name, telling him I was cumming. That was enough to put him over the edge as well. His dick convulsed, flooding my pussy with his huge, sticky load.

I’ve never been the type of person who was into drunken sex with someone I barely knew. In the past, I’d been very much against it, but I’ll be damned if that wasn’t just what I needed. It may have been wrong but it felt so good.

Since I’d started dating Jason, I came to the realization that sleep hardly existed in his world. I was barely to pull myself out of bed, and had a hangover from hell. I sat in the bathroom far longer than I planned, worrying whether or not I was going to get sick. Fortunately, a couple bottles of water, four ibuprofen, and strong coffee proved to be exactly what I needed to get my day started.

I walked into work still basking in the afterglow of the night I’d had and was determined to have a good day. Not long after breakfast, one of our residents started vomiting and came down with a fever. As soon as I saw who it was, I checked his blood sugar. It was sky high. After I got him settled in and comfortable, I went to check his chart only to find that he had not been given his diabetes medicine that morning.

“Hey Maggie, did Candace hand out meds this morning?” I asked, knowing that since I was scheduled to come in an hour later, it would have been her responsibility.

“I believe so,” Maggie replied. “I know I saw her in the medicine room.”

I pulled all the charts from that morning and saw that only about half of the residents who were due to get medications actually received them.

What the fuck was that girl thinking?

I was fuming. This girl was responsible for the well-being of so many people and she couldn’t even make sure they all got their meds? I was trying to formulate what I wanted to say to her when Angie appeared in front of the nurse’s station.

“What in the hell is happening ladies? I was checking in on what was wrong with Mister Rice when he told me he hadn’t been given his diabetes meds this morning. Is there any particular reason why he missed his dose?”

Candace piped in without missing a beat.

“Shelly didn’t tell me that I was supposed to be doing meds this morning. When I realized she wasn’t here, I started handing them out but didn’t have time to give them to everyone.”

That little bitch was putting all the blame on me.

“Is this true?” Angie demanded. “Why didn’t you tell Candace she needed to hand out the meds?”

Now Candace had been there long enough to know that the first RN to come in is the one to hand out the medicine. The fact that she bitches and whines to Angie to get the later shift should not have excused her from knowing what the rules were. With that said, I knew that I was fighting a losing battle. No matter what I said, Angie was bound to side with her niece.

“I must have forgotten to let her know,” I said in defeat. “I’ll make sure everyone who needs their meds get them.”

“Yeah, I think that’s probably a good idea,” Angie retorted before turning around and going back to her office.

Candace sat down at her desk and went back to doing whatever she was doing on her computer.

“Hey, don’t mistake that for weakness,” I warned her.

“What do you mean?” she asked, looking a bit shaky.

Yeah, she better shake. I’m tired of taking people’s shit and getting the shit end of the stick. I glared at her for a moment as she started fidgeting with the zipper on her jacket. She was acting funny, and I didn’t know what she was up to but I was sure as hell going to find out.

“Never mind,” I told her as I grabbed the chart so I could sort out the mess she’d made that morning.

While I was back in the medicine room, Maggie came in and pulled up a chair.

“I saw what happened back there. Why didn’t you tell her it was Candace who messed up?”

“What’s the point? In the end, I was going to be back here doing this anyway. Plus, I don’t want Angie to think I won’t own up to my mistakes if I make them. That would only look bad when it comes time to fill your job. She was acting funny too. I think she’s up to something but I haven’t put my finger on it yet.”

  “Funny? How so?”

“I’m not really sure. She just wasn’t being herself. It was weird.”

“I think that girl’s weird no matter what,” Maggie joked. “I know you weren’t responsible for that and I have to give you kud
os for falling on the sword like you did.”

I went back to filling the meds while Maggie kept me company, realizing there was no point in dwelling over things I couldn’t control. I started thinking about Jason and what he would do if he was being pushed around. I knew exactly what he’d do and secretly wished I could do the same, which was knock her ass out.

“What in the world are you smiling about?” she asked.

I used the few minutes I had to fill her in on the naughty bad boy that I’d been seeing. Of course, I left out specific details, such as the fact that he is a family member of someone in our care.
